On March 12, 2023, I attempted to book a flight from Bangalore to Abu Dhabi through the official Etihad Airways website. During the payment process, the amount was successfully deducted from my account, but the ticket was not issued.
The website displayed a technical error message, as shown in the attached screenshot, with a reference ID: d08756e4-01b7-42ee-8ef0-fd757e5b6da6 and timestamp 2023-03-12T13:24:38.306Z.
I have made several attempts to resolve this issue by:
Contacting Etihad Airways Customer Care via phone and email;
Visiting their local office;
Following up multiple times since March 2023.
Despite these efforts, there has been no response or refund from Etihad Airways. The payment gateway used was Etihad’s own system, so they should be able to trace the failed transaction using the technical reference.
I am filing this complaint to bring the matter to attention and request Etihad Airways to process a full refund for the amount deducted during the failed booking.
