Reserved a car at Jackson Ohio Enterprise a week in advance for pickup at 10:00 the following Tuesday. I showed up 45 minutes early. The "manager" Ethan said my reservation was for 10:00 and my rental was not ready. No apology and very arrogant. I cam back a little after 10:00, Ethan, again stated no cars were available, again with no apology. My wife who was dropping me off to pick up the rental went in and asked Ethan why they did not call customers who had reservations to notify them not to waste a trip and time he stated that he did call me. She came out and got my phone and showed him all my calls for that morning. No calls from Enterprise. Ethan lied. When called out he said he "mis-spoke" Again, incompetent management that does not have professional courtesy to own up nor apologize and LIE. Enterprise says they care about customers and are a family business, another false statement. I called customer service IN INDIA or other country where you can barely understand them. She tried to take care of the issue by saying she could find another location. I know all the locations near me and the closest one is 40 minutes one way. She filled out a"ticket confirmation number and said someone from Enterprise customer service would call me. four days later and no call. Enterprise is a typical all about the money company with no ethics that does NOT care about their customers. I will be switching to another rental company.
Again the run-around as I have contacted enterprise directly via email. Again, no response until a third party gets involved. If Enterprise cared they would have addressed the situation first at the rental location, second when I first called customer service and a ticket was generated, third when I emailed customer service and now you want me to contact you again with details? Read my complaint and check ticket number 501 777 99. You can also follow up with your rude manager at the Jackson, Ohio location. But I will email you as well.
I have been a Enterprise/National customer since 2007.
You requested I send an email to you at this address. I reluctantly am doing so as I don't expect a response and am wasting my time. Since you did not answer my call to customer service, you did not answer my email and obviously allow your employees to act and treat customers the way Ethan at your Jackson, Ohio location treated us.

The "manager" Ethan said my reservation was for 10:00 and my rental was not ready. No apology and very arrogant. I came back a little after 10:00, Ethan, again stated no cars were available. He stated a car was getting the oil changed. I asked how long that would take. He stated within an hour. Again with no apology. My wife who was dropping me off to pick up the rental went in and asked Ethan why they did not call customers who had reservations to notify them not to waste a trip and time. He stated that he did call me. She came out and got my phone and showed him all my calls for that morning. No calls from Enterprise. Ethan lied. When called out he said he "mis-spoke" Again, incompetent management that does not have professional courtesy to own up nor apologize and LIE. A simple smile and an apology would have went a long way (as the other managers have done at this location in the past, several times). I have never complained about cars being dirty, smelling like smoke, GAS tank NEVER on full but yet there is a gas station across the street, not ready when scheduled, having to scrape and clean snow off the windshield when picking up, no ice scrapers in the vehicle in winter etc. until now.
I have had this situation happen several times at this location. Even though no one has ever called me to let me know there were no cars available and not to waste two trips and time, they at least were pleasant and apologetic. There is a big turnover with management at this location and always someone new. Ethan however, is very unprofessional and treated my wife and I very rudely and poorly. He lied and didn' have the ethics or professionalism to admit and apologize and then escalate the situation.
We had to completely change our plans, I had to drive my wifes car and miss my appointment. We lost time, miles, inconvienience with no concern from Enterprise whatsoever. Which happens in life. What is upsetting the most is the way we were treated by your employee (Ethan) with absolutely no consequences for his actions. Very sad that this is the type of people Enterprise is placing into management positions.
