May 3, 2024, I accompanied my Godmother to Enterprise rent-a-car from the Columbus, Ga location located at 3450 Macon Road, Columbus, Ga 31907. A 2024 Ford Escape was rented and returned 24 hours later. The car was inspected and management signed off on the return. 24 hours later she was contacted and told that the windshield was cracked. I went back to the dealership, spoke with the representative and was told that the insurance purchased would take care of any damage. Yesterday, she was sent an invoice with a $800.00 balance due for damages. When this vehicle was returned, this 'supposed' damage was not on this vehicle. I had to wait for my sister to come and pick me up. I watched the entire office run around the office, including the lobby while they sprayed each other with water guns. If they spent as much time doing the job Enterprise paid them to do, instead of spraying each other and the lobby with water, I would not be sitting here having to address this matter.

Claimed loss: Claim loss is $800.00 per the letter in my possession.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology AND this $800.00 not charged to my Godmother.

Date correction: This happened on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The vehicle was rented on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and returned on May 1, 2024.

I have been informed that Enterprise Rent-A-Car must speak with the renter. The renter is 91 yrs old and this has greatly upset her. I am handling this matter for her because she rented the car for "ME" to drive her to Atlanta, GA for a doctors appointment. I returned the car with NO damages.
