There are no positives to share, If I could give no stars I would.
My order was initially processed by DPD Ireland and once it arrived in England was transferred to the local team. I received a one hour, morning timeslot for delivery on 31/12/25 with the driver named as Rakshit. Within that hour I received another text advising my item (a very expensive vacuum cleaner) would be delivered to the nearest shop as no one was "at home". This was lies as both my son and I were home. I went to the shop named on the link, showed them the QR code and was told it had never been delivered.
What followed was a complete runaround from DPD. I called to follow up, took nearly 20 mins to convince the call centre in India that my parcel was not at the pick-up location and they agreed to have their UK team call me within the hour. I spoke to a woman who assured me they had contacted the driver by text (they couldn't get through on the phone) to have him redeliver my parcel. I called back around 16:30 to chase this up and was told it could be delivered up to 19:30. This never happened.
I called again on 02/01/26 and was advised by the call centre in India that the item was being returned to the sender.
I now have to wait to see if DPD return in a suitable condition to be shipped using another courier service, if not, whether the company has a replacement item in stock that they can send. If they don't, I will have to wait for the item to be refunded which, aside from the inconvenience, will put this item out of reach as it costs an additional £225.00 on every other online store.
Thanks DPD, your service stinks and I hope Rakshit, who lives up to the latter part of his name and clearly has no work ethic, is suitably dealt with for his inaction.
Recommendation: Do not use DPD.
