Good day,

My name is Susie I live in Burns, Oregon and shop quiet often at the Dollar Tree.

On September 13, 2020 at 16:30ish, I experienced a horrible event at this store, I was totally embarrassed for the store, and in my opinion at least 4 employees should be either be fired or re-trained appropriately.

As I was shopping I heard a lot of screaming and arguing coming from the employees at the front registers, I seen 3 ladies in uniform. One lady on register one and ringing up a customer, her supervisor (I am presuming) began telling the cashier to break down boxes, and I am not sure what else was being said, but they were screaming at each other, the cashier was telling the supervisor to go pick on someone else, not her today, this was said about 5 times. The cashier was the only cashier open, and was busy with her customers, and this incident continued. After about 40 seconds of listening to this, I left my basket and walked up towards the registers and yelled "Ladies, that is enough, take this to the office, not in-front of you customers, this is unprofessional." One lady yelled back "thank you for your opinion", another lady yelled "mind your own business" and one said "you can hear from the office anyway" and I said "it would be better than in front of your customers."

I continued my shopping and about 10 minutes later I wondered up to register one where the light was on, the cashier asked me to go to register two as she was closed. No problem, I went to register two, the cashier from register one had been breaking down boxes at register two, she picked up all the plastic and was walking to the trash when another employee came out of the office and up to register two, she told the cashier from register one get these boxes off the counter. Cashier from register one, told her just a second, I am throwing out the plastic, then came over and picked up the boxes, and let me tell you if looks could kill both ladies would be dead, the daggers were just a flying.

As the cashier on register two was ringing up my items I said to her, you guys should be more professional at your work place. She said it was not me. I said well the looks you just gave her was not professional at all. She told me I should mind my own business, that I don't know what was going on and they were just playing with each other. I said you don't play with each other by screaming and yelling at each other in your work place, if I was the manager I would fire you all. She said I had nothing to do with it, you don't know what your talking about just be quiet if you don't like it, don't come back. Then after I paid for the transaction she whipped the receipt from the register and whipped it at me, I whipped it out of her hand and said do you think that was professional. Then I asked her for her name, she refused to give it to me, and told me to leave the store. I asked for the manager, a few moments later a lady came out of the office that was not in uniform, no face mask and a baby attached to her chest and asked me what I wanted. I asked her for the cashiers name about 4 times she finally said her name was Rachel. I said I will be reporting this incident to Dollar Tree headquarters.

Now hell broke out, this lady, tall. long blondish hair with a baby strapped to the front of her and no face mask, raising her voice at me said "thanks for yelling in-front of my child." I asked her why she would be at work with her baby, and not in uniform. She screamed at me, " I am the manager and I can come in this f****ing store anytime I want to, to shop." (well look at who just screamed and cussed in front of her child) I shook my head and left in dismay.

So you have a manager, a supervisor, and two cashiers all of who were very unprofessional, it is apparent the manager and supervisor has not had the proper training for their positions of how to handle confrontational employees or customers. Employees should never be called out on something while they are working with customers, and if that employee is confrontational, take it to the office or in the back room with a witness. they were not playing with each other, it was like two employees ganging up on the other employee, cashier on register one even ask the other employee (again I am presuming it was her supervisor) if she was going to write her up for yelling at her and she responded no she was not going to write her up but want to talk with her after she was off her register.

There was several boxes in the isles which customers had to weave in and out of, the store is only a year old, and I know it must be doing very well as we really needed this store in our little town, thank you for bringing it to us. Please do surprise visits as it is becoming a dirty store. I hope you have camera's in the store that can be reviewed for this incident and hopefully you can hear what was being said as well.

I will no longer shop at this store as long as that manager (who has rung me up before with her baby strapped to her chest), and the cashier Rachel is no longer working there. I sure do hope some real training takes place for managers and supervisors within the Dollar Tree industry. And remember word of mouth can kill a business.

I have called Dollar Tree headquarters and 13 days later still have not received a call back. I also, sent an email, and no response back. Doesn't Dollar Tree want to have good clean and respectful employees at their stores.
