My receipt from Dillards gives details on how to win a 2,500 dollar shopping spree, but when I tried to access the web address I keep getting a message stating it's an invalid address. I used several search engines with the same results.
Can't find where you register -- this is a rip off

I tried to enter the "Dillards Shopping Spree". The web address is no where to find it. I spend hours trying to find it. It is a scam. Its sad that such a prestige store is printing false information in their receipts. Date 2/25/07. I would like to know why is dillards doing this?

This is just awful. How can Dillards treat their customers this way? If there is no such website then why put it on the receipt? I believe the Dillards should do something to solve this problem and make it right with their customers. Our time is valuable and to waste in looking for a site that is there is, again I say, just awful.

I have to agree with message sent by Donald R. Toth . I tried several times to find the Dillard's shopping spree site. After reading Donald's e-mail, I reviewed my own attempts to find the site, only to find I had typed a wrong letter on one, and omitted a letter on the other. Today I carefully typed the address and then reviewed it to be sure it was correct. GUESS WHAT? There I was right on the shopping spree site. I registered and this time carefully checked my typing and submitted my entry, no problem...

I have to laugh at all the people complaining about how this is a scam when in fact you need to LEARN how to use your web browser. DO NOT use a SEARCH ENGINE to enter ANY web address of any kind. Search engines are NOT designed for you to enter an address. They are for entering a word or string of words (but for best results as few as possible) This is NOT a SCAM. I have entered many times without issue and I hope I am the winner because you folks don't know how to use your computers!

You are just like all of the other jack holes on line. You are scamming all of these women who spend thousands of dollars in your store each year. No wonder your competitions are doing better than you! Don't tell your faithful customers to enter a fake shopping spree. Thanks for listening to my complaint. Kara in Arkansas.

I, also, purchased 3 items at Dillards, and tried to register for the free $2,500 shopping spree. I found the on-line screen but when I completed the first page of the 0n-line form, and pushed NEXT, as instructed, the next page was actually the same page that I had just completed. I tried this 3 times and the same thing happened each time. There was no place for a registration #. and no response to indicate that I was registered. I'm not sure if I am registered or not. This form was NOT a very smart move on behalf of Dillards.

I had the same experience with the shopping spree website. (FRAUD-FRAUD-FRAUD!)
I have also encountered rude, smart mouth employees. I was shopping in the men's department in Fayette Mall- Lexington, Ky. during the month of Nov. I was looking for jeans for my brother's upcoming b-day. I was in the Polo/Ralph Lauren section and asked a female associate where I would find a certain type of jeans called Chaps by R. Lauren/Polo. (I only asked because I was in a hurry.) She laughed outloud-looked me head to toe and proceeded to tell me (in a snooty manner) that R.Lauren/Polo didn't make that certain brand (Chaps)-and I needed to shop at JC Penney-because they carried Chaps which was an off brand low quality product. I then let her know that fashion/clothing/shopping was the one thing I was knowledgeable of. And by the way she was incorrect. Chaps is a division of Polo/R. Lauren.
Another time (Fayette Mall-same store-in January-approximately 8:30 P.M.) I was looking for Coach shoes. 20 people (no joking-20 people) were lined up waiting to get their size shoe from the back. People were growing impatient (I was simply watching/listening). Another gentlemen (who by the way wanted 6 pairs of coach shoes for his wife) went to look for help from another shoe area. He said that on the other side there were many employees hard at work-DOING INVENTORY. Wouldn't it be wise to tend to your customers who want to purchase mdse. And THEN do your inventory after closing-when consumers are gone for the evening. I very kindly told the workers that it would be nice/productive/efficient if they adopted the same shoe system Macy's has- a palm pilot that tells you in about 5 seconds if they have your particular shoe or not. It eliminates a lot of wasted time and effort on each parties part.
Dillards needs to know that shoppers have a choice of where to shop. Their employees often have customers looking for one thing- THE DOOR!

I received a receipt from Dillard's in the Panama City, Florida mall with the win logo of $2500.00 shopping spree if you register by 01/28/2007. I now see I have been misrepresented by a Department Store that is suppose to be valued by its customers, not only for quality products but by their reputati0n. I have shopped at Dillard's for many years but now since they have falsely advertised to make people think they are also a give back store in the form of a give away ShoppingSpree, my shopping days at any Dillard's store is over. So there is my shopping spree I will save $2500.00 by not shopping at Dillard's anymore. The Dillard's Department Store has only hurt themselves by misrepresenting the public, "Way to go Dillard's" you sure know how to lose good customers.

I too loved Dillards for many years but within the last year the store/Dillards has become a nightmare. Their customer service is bad, their clothing second rate, and their selection poor unless you are a size 3. When taking to management about a complaint they just talk back back you, they say nothing and do nothing. This shopping spree $2500 is just another example of how low rent they have bexcome. I calling a TV station tomorrow to file a complaint.
P.S. Don't buy furniture from them either. They ever say their sorry and they don't try to make things right!
