I received my new prescription eyeglasses on May 28th, 2022. I was told by the salespeople that CVS Optical provides the best options available for me and that they would stand behind my purchase, 100%! The optometrist changed my prescription. After about a week of trying to adjust to the new prescription, I went back to report that I could not see well, and it was very disconcerting. I was told that there was no longer an optometrist at that location and that an appointment for a recheck at another location was more than a month away. (July 21st). I then found out that the optical department was closing. More than $600.00 later, I cannot see well. After pleading for an appointment sooner, hesitantly, I scheduled that appointment. I was then contacted by a salesperson, Sloan, who told me I could come in sooner, however, I was out of town. She then proceeded to tell me that if I did not come in that day, July 7th (the day I begged for and was denied) they could no longer remake my glasses as they are not making any more glasses after July 15th! This is terrible! I love my frames, yet cannot see well. In order to rectify this, they said 1. I could return the glasses for a full refund or 2. I could keep the frames and have a new prescription filled elsewhere. This is going to COST ME MORE money and this is not my fault! it is the terrible fault of CVS because they knew they were closing when they sold me the glasses under false pretenses! This is terrible! I have tried to get through to customer service with no success! I am told there is nothing anyone can do! NOT POSSIBLE!
Desired outcome: I want my glasses remade with the same frames and an accurate prescription!
