Yesterday July 28, 2009 I went to this Wal-Mart in Edinburg, TX to change car battery. I arrived there on 8:40 AM and I shopped over there. I went back to the automobile part to ask to finish changing battery on 9:35 AM, they still was working. I continued shopping until 10:00 AM. I asked again, but they want me to come back 10 to 15 minutes. I went there...

Walmart bad customer service

My mother likes to shop. She likes to shop way too much and upon helping her clean her house recently I found eleven DVD's from Walmart (still in their original wrapping WITH the walmart stickers on them) that she had purchased and either had duplicates of or didn't really want. I tried to return the DVD's to Walmart. I didn't have a reciept and I have no idea if the items were purchased within the last 90 days or not so I can totally respect them not accepting the return. It was the way I was treated that really upset me. When I first went up to the customer service counter to make my return. The woman behind the counter looked at me and then with out speaking to me turned around and got on the phone to the electronics department and "wispered" in to the reciever to have someone come up and look at the DVD's to see if they were stolen! The lady from electronics arrived and "inspected" each DVD. You would have thought she was looking for a bomb, she might as well have got out her magnifying glass. Then the lady from electronics leaves and the women behind the counter says that they have to call over a manager. The manager arrives and tells me that they can't accept the return becuase I have no reciept and the items are too old, they don't carry them anymore. Yea Right! So I had to stand around and wait 15 min while the DVD's were inspected and I was being accused of stealing them, but oh, NOW the DVD's are too old and the store dosen't carry them anymore so I cant return them!

Walmart refund

I purchased a visa walmart card recently but i haven't activated it or even used it. Rather i did some research and found out this card sucks *** ! i was wondering since i pressed like this button that sent me to a refund thing, would i still get charged that monthly fee even if it was not activated as well as having no information of me? So like technically i just bought the card and let's say it's still got that glue stuck to it. would i still be charged?

I used to work for WalMart as a manager. If you never activated the card, they will not charge you a fee. BUT the store that you purchased the card from technically cannot give you the refund, only the Green Dot Company( this is the store policy). The plus side is that if you go to the WalMart you purchased the card from and you complain to the top manager and explain that you thought it was a GIFTCARD instead of aPREPAID VISA CARD, and you throw a major fit, and tell them you spend a lot of money in their store and you demand a in-store refund. They most likely will give you the refund there just to get rid of you. Believe me, I had to do it ALOT!

I love you NonnieMouse!

I have no idea what you're talking about.

And the prepaid card is not a credit card, it's a gift card. You mis-categorized.

Walmart cd

I had purchased a CD at Walmart Dept. on [protected]. It was a bad CD. I took the CD back to Walmart customers service [protected]. There was one customer in front of me. I had to wait over 30 min.The customer service lady told me to go back to electronics & see if they have another one. I told her that when I purchased it on 7-15, that was the only one I saw. To please the service lady, I went back to check. Their was not anymore like the one I had. I found another one that I liked, it was higher in price. So I returned to customer service, by now they were 5 customers in line. I waited until she finished with customer she was helping. I stepped up & handed the lady the CD that I picked out. Then 2 customers yelled out that I broke in line. I proceeded to tell them I had already waited my time in line. They told me that I had to return to the back of the line. I said I don't think so. Then the customer service told me that if they didn't have the same CD that I purchased. Then they would have to give me a voucher, when it came in I would have to return & pick it up. I told to her to return my money. She said she couldn't do that. It was against the Walmart's policy. She should have told me that up front. She saw how up set I was. She let me pay the difference in the prices. It took me over 1hr. 30min. to exchange a single CD. I have tried to call the manger on 7-21-09, held the ph. over 10 min. No manager. Called again on 7-22-09, he was doing a tour. They took my name & ph. no. Still no return. This was one of the most horrifying exeriences I've had at retail store. It has been yrs since I have returned anything. I didn't know things were this bad. Thanks for reading my complaint

Yes I agree WalMart does suck..I used to be a Manager. Although there is no excuse for you waiting that long to change a cd, the associate was correct in telling you she couldnt exchange the cd for a different one. Its not just a WalMart policy, it's actually a Federal Copyright Policy. Also some WalMarts are really cracking down on their refund policy due to the amount of theft. Even though you cant really do anything once you open a cd, dvd, computer game etc, you can save yourself a little headache and try to hang on to the receipts. Hope this helps!

Walmart defamation

7/21/2009 9:56:32 PM

To Whom It May Concern:

We got to Wal-Mart store at 27th St store # 2828, and my daughter Zuleiry Robles bought some piercings at the jewelry department and opened it at the store, then she gave me one and I put it on my pocket.
In our way out of the store at 7:44 pm we were stopped by 3 security in front of everyone embarrassing us and taken to a security room, they told us to sit down and give them the merchandise that we didn’t pay for and we tell them what he was talking about that the only merchandise we had it was the piercings and the receipts were there with them. They told us “you know what we are talking about”. And they didn’t stop there they search my daughter and her purse they didn’t find nothing. Then I told them you better find something to excuse the embarrassment you put us thru or else I will suit you. Also they took my daughter’s boyfriend Eduardo Molina to pressure him to say that my daughter had steal something from the store, and that he needed to tell the truth and he told him that the truth is she didn’t take nothing.
After about one hour 8:20 pm they apologized to us because we were right and we didn’t steal anything. I told the I didn’t accept apologies and I wanted to talk to a manager or someone for defamation. The assistant manager named Nathan refused to give me his last name and the name of the security guards.
He was rude towards me and him also refuse to give me any writing report of the incident, he told me to call 1-800-walmart which I did right away and talk to William, I put a complaint at 8:22 pm 7/21/09. Also went to the police station number 6 and put a complaint about it. Accusing someone of stealing without proof is a crime, defamation and also we felt discriminated by them.

I don't see these tales about any other store except Wal-mart.

Wal-Mart appears to be wasting a lot of time with vigilante security and setting itself up for liability.

Walmart stupid workers

I wanted to check the price of a very large princess castle. The box was about 4 feet high. I saw 2 workers making themselves look busy and asked if they could check the price on the toy for me. They told me to use the price checker machine across the hall in the pet aisle. I dragged the box to the price checker and found that it wasn't working. I dragged the box back and told the workers about the default and asked them again to check the price for me. They told me to just take it down to the check out aisles and then the 2 workers went off. I saw another worker in the pet aisle across from me and asked him to check the price for me. As he was helping me one of the 2 original workers reappeared. The helping guy lectured the idiot worker because idiot worker didn't even have a price checker on him.

Then after I paid for this massive castle. I had it in a shopping cart and was clearly leaving the express aisles. This "wal-mart greeter" stopped me before the doors and wanted proof of purchase. HOw stupid can you be.

COSTCO has it in their club agreement that when you shop at their store, you agree to ticket checking.

Wal-Mart is not a club, like Sam's. I will do anything to avoid the ticket checker.

Since Wal-Mart does not ticket check everybody, lots of people like me, just sail by, Wal-Mart has a discrimination case waiting to happen here.

I'm honest, but no one else cheap around here does that, like Big Lots, etc.

No one seems to cmplain about their purchases being checked at Costco. They expect it. I don't see the big deal. It took all of, what, 2-3 seconds? I always leave my receipt out until I leave the store, just in case. It is NOT a personal attack against you, for crying out loud!

While the associates were rather rude, I wouldn't be complaining about the door greeter. They seem to be the only one doing what they're being paid to do. It's a rather standard policy that anything not in a bag needs to be checked against a receipt. Since you'd just checked out, it shouldn't have been a problem for you.

under paid and under appreciated. You will only find a few retail worker who really put an effort into there job. Retail has such a high turn over rate. If you go in the store 30 days from now those same employees will no longer work for the company.

Walmart thieves

Well, I guess it was my last trip to walmart, and the reason for it is that I never come out of that store happy, someone manages to tick me off. That friendly welcome has been gone and now they even check your back too, like you are a theif! Never mind the cashiers, as they are mad at you for not giving them, their retirement packages! Inside the store, either you can not find anyone to help you and if you find one person, then the answer is over there/this must be the last one, since it is not on the shelf!

Today I asked the cashier, if I need to bring the dirt package here to pay or I can pay for it and then go get it? Well it it was the most stupidest question for her, as she wanted to know what kind of dirt it is, as if it is the sand or the garden soil? As she knew there were so many different kind of dirt for the price of $1.37. After telling her never mind, she just kept repeating. I was mad they way she kept telling me, and as I was leaving, she tells other cashier, that she just said have a nice day. I should talk about the other cashier that he is sitting on the side, and we were in line! I really did not have time to go back and see the manager for their rude behavior. Anyhow life goes on with or without walmart.

Yes, they usually wanna know what kind. I don't figure I can walk into any store and go, "how much is your pop" and they are just gonna quote me a price. They have to know what kind...geez, was the lady supposed to be psychic?

Walmart overcharged

It never fails...almost every time I leave Walmart Store, I tell myself how much I Hate Walmart. People shop there, because they think they have a lower price...but when you check out, it NEVER fails that one or two items are more than the listed price. So, that's one way to get rich...rip off the customers. It might only be 0.50 per item, but when you count all the customers on a daily base, it really adds up. I AM FEED UP with Walmart! This does not happen when I shop at Kroger Store.

Unfortunately, this happens to me every single time I shop at Walmart. There will be several items which ring up at a higher price than what is on the shelf label (and yes, I verify the label with the product before I take it). I normally use the self-checkout register so that I can monitor the prices more easily. I then have to get the SCO Cashier to come over and make the correction.

One time, I had a product that was $1.97; however, it rang up at $1.98. I had 3 of these items. I had to get the SCO Cashier to correct the price - I even showed her the sign with the price, as it was on an end-cap clearly visible from where we were located. She laughed and told me "that's only 1¢"! I told her "Yes, but that's 3 items so it's 3¢, and that's MY 3¢, not Walmart's." (Yes, 3¢ is not much, but when everyone purchasing this is charge the same extra 1¢, then that takes more money out of our pockets and puts it into Walmart's pocket.) If this was the only time this happened, then I would not have worried about it; but this happens all of the time.

Sometimes I have also had them doubt my claim of the price. I then request they get a Price Check - and after waiting a bit, they ultimately come back with the price I told them, and I get the items for that price. (However, I did have one time where they came back with a different price. I did NOT buy the item, because I knew the price was marked for what I told them. After paying for my other items, I went back to the shelf and found the sign had been changed; the associate in the dept knew what I was looking for and told me that she requested the sign be changed!)

I also have had instances where the Cashier refused to get a Price Check verification; they just tell me "that's the price it is on the register, so I can't do anything about it." In those cases, I make them VOID the item and I do NOT BUY IT. This results in lost Sales for Walmart!

I think if you were checking the prices on the selves before you just picked them up and threw them in the cart that you would see you're not getting ripped off. Sometimes the items are in the wrong spot and sometimes the associates in that department have yet to take down a sale sticker after the sale is up. Anytime I shop I always make sure that the item I'm wanting matches the little tag underneath it on the shelf. When you get to the check out and you see an item is not what you thought it was you can get a price check. If the store is a little busy expect it to take a couple of minutes, but if it were really that big of a deal to you I think you would be patient enough to wait. Wal-mart certainly can't please everybody.

I am curious as to why you don't make them wait( and yes you can) until you have everything up on the checkout before they start. Then you can watch as they scan things through, (it will show u right on the credit card machine) If something is more than advertised for just call their attention to it. If you don't have time for this, to actually make them wait a minute and then watch the credit card machine as they scan well then pay your .50 and be done with it.

My children purchased a walmart debit card for me for my birthday. They thought they were getting a visa card thru Walmart. I had to give out so much personal information to activate the debit card. It felt as though I was applying for a credit card. This card was nothing like it was suppose to be. I tried to exchange the card when I found out how hard it was to activate. I wanted to cancel the card after I made 1 purchase which left a little amount of money on the card. I spent hours on the phone using all the phone numbers that were on the card and the infor sheet and was able to get just the automated system. I finally got a hold of the lost and stolen department. The representative was mean and nasty when she found out that I had used her to get to a person to cancel the card. She did transfer me and I was able to cancel the card, I think. The phone number to call is [protected] then go to lost and stolen. They will then transfer you. Good Luck! If you have not purchased one, I would not advise it. The fees are outrageous.

After being ripped off on line at prior years taxes. I called my walmart visa card to stop the payment. I was told they could do anything till the payment posted. I asked after the payment is posted they have there money, how do I get my money back. I was told that I file a letter and they would take care of it. After it posted I called back and was told its between me and merchant. There just a debt card company not like a real credit card company. I say not like a real debt card company either If I call my bank and tell them I've been ripped off don't pay that bill they won't. WALMART CARD HOLDER BEWARE If there is anyone at walmart that can explain this to me my e-mail is baddog4cats@hotmail.com. I tryed getting an answer over the phone at your customer service hotline. But after a few calls I could not find anyone there that spoke english well enough to talk too. What is that they speake there spanindnaenglish?

I like you, mbbc. Finally someone on here that knows something about Walmart MoneyCards.
MoneyCards are long-term accounts, not gifts. You can't even activate one if you are underage.
Want a giftcard? Buy Walmart in-store credit. Want a gift card you can use elsewhere? Buy a Walmart Visa GIFTcard.

Your complaining because your children bought you the wrong thing, and you couldn't figure out how to take care of the issue.

you must not know how to read or follow directions. The wal-mart debit card has helped alot of people out that dont wont a credit card. The appilication process is quite simple and it works just like a credit card that you put money on. And those outrageous fees of $3.00 's to load money on to your card must have really hit you hard. They have a maintance fee every month of $2.95 just like a credit card only those fees are MUCH HIGHER! But the problem is its a debit card and not a credit card so it takes your money right then instead of at the end of the money when you make your credit card payments You could have went to a atm and got the rest of your money off the card. You just want ot fuss about something.

I agree with the complaint on this. My sister does not have good enough credit to get an account at a bank. She needs to pay her bills online. Therefore, she bought a walmart money card. Someone got her number and used her card to buy something on Craig's list for $350.00. Unfortunately, she is a single parent and only gets paid once a month. Imagine how many groceries her children will do without this month. Walmart money card did not care. She caught the transaction the same day that someone did it and they still would not reverse the charges. What kind of company does business this way? I say to all DO NOT USE WALMART MONEY CARD! They are a rip off.

Please, don't take offense - I am just curious. Why would you even use a wal-mart money card? It is ten times safer (not to mention cheaper) to use a real bank account with a real debit card backed up safely by legit Visa or Mastercard logos. Or better yet, an actual credit card, which is even safer to use than debit - because if someone gets that card number and starts spending, it's not coming out of your hard earned money, and it can be turned over as fraud much easier. Don't fall for wal-mart finance products, get a real bank account with a large or local banking firm (not bank of america) and feel much safer about your money.

Walmart returning item

The weekend of July 4th we had a family reunion we hosted at my parents home. We did all the shopping for supplies and food at Sam's and Walmart. Within the 2 week period before the reunion up to the weekend of the 4th we spent $1500 at the 2 stores. One item that was purchased on 7/2 was an airmatress for $45 because we were expecting alot of company and may need it but ended up we did not need it. The box was not opened at all so we went to return the item 1 week later and was told it is a Corporate policy and they could not take the item back. We explained we did not use it and the box was not opened and we had the reciept but they still refused to take the item and refund the money. We checked and there are no signs around the department where it was purchased that it is a non returnable item and it is not noted on the reciept that you could not return it. I could understand if the box had been opened but it wasn't. We did all our shopping at Sam's and Walmart even before the reunion. They have a sign at the desk where you return items but who goes and reads it before they shop. They could have a notice to appear on the register when you purchase it to advise the customer that if purchased it cannot be returned or even on sign where the merchandise it displayed that it cannot be returned. My parents also pastor a church and buy all the supplies at Sam's and Walmart. My mom passed up 2 other grocery stores and Kmart, Dollar Stores to get to Sam's and Walmart everytime she goes shopping for supplies and groceries. She probably has spent thousands of dollars between her personal needs and the churchs in the past year and they wants to lose that busisness over a $45 air matress. Walmart is getting way to BIG.

I had the same problem today with an unused air matress. We determined that a separate pu, p was needed so we purchased a self contained matress and tried to return the original one without the pump. They woudl not take it back. We have both a Target and a Walmart here. So it makes it easier now to decide which one to go to first.

Walmart customer service

I was in the Super Wal-mart on Pendleton Pike just the other day. I can completely understand that they are going through improvements and remodeling. I went to the bakery and just wanted to ask someone a question. I even saw the sign that customers would not be able to even order anything until the next day. But again, I only wanted a question answered. My sister was throwing me a baby shower that weekend and we were looking at cupcakes and cake options from the book. A Wal-mart employee asked if we needed help. We told her that we were looking at cakes. She immediately stated what the sign said in a loud manner. I said okay, but I just wanted to know how much this type of cake would run me. I just needed an estimate because we were planning on coming back the next day. She then told me that the person I needed to talk to was at lunch and she walked away. Why is there only one person in this section, or any section, who knows prices? And why is there any reason to be rude about it. I would think there would be a list of prices for cakes that are in a book, preplanned designs. We ended up going across the street to Krogers. They were nice and wonderful and I even said thank you for being so kind. And we like their price too.

To whom it may concern: I am writing you this letter because I am very disappointed in the Wal-Mart at town and Country in victoria. I realize that they are renovating but I feel that they are not accomodating the customer. My family and I spend a lot of money in this store and it is very frustrating that you cannot get the product or service that you should be getting. When you ask for help you either get snubbed or put off to someone else. The service in this store has dropped trumendously and as for the product, there is none. I have been buying clothes for my husband and myself for over 4 years there and up until now I am not able to. They used to carry big and tall and now you can, t even find it in the store. When you go in for a perscription you are told 20 minutes which turns into 1hour it is just terrible. I guess customer service sure isn, t what it used to be. I was in there today and asked a lady where the tents were she pointed me in the direction and walked away. When I went back to look for her to tell her I could not find the tents, she snapped at me and said mam I am looking for them and trying to help you! I am sorry but I do not think she tried to help me, when I looked through all the iles myself to find that they did not even have one tent in the store I left and walked out. To bad they lost a sale. I guess I feel that the customer service should be more than it is, but I also feel that the product should still be coming back into the store even though they are renovating. I sure hope that when the new store is up and running that they will be more polite to there customers, and that the product will be in the store, maybe then will I return to see what kind of service I will be getting.

sincerely

I just had to get this out there after after being shocked by the lack of customer service I received from Wal-Mart. Here is my story:

I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and purchased some ground turkey logs to use to make turkey burgers on the grill. Well I cut open the package and squeeze the meat out into a bowl and I am immediately met with a very fowl odor. Actually that description doesn't do it any justice. This completely REEKED, like to the point where I'm boderline gagging. I look at the meat at its a light green color. I look at the package and it says use by 6/7/10. It is 6/14/10. Completely disgusted I put the rancid ground turkey into a plastic bag and tie it up and then I put that bag inside another plastc bag and tie that up and put it outside in the trash where it will have to sit in the blazing heat for 4 days before my trash is picked up.

So I get the phone number to the store from my receipt and call them. I explain the situation to a girl there who tells me to bring the meat back to the store. Uhhh, ok I'm not carrying rancid meat with me and putting it in my car. She says she understands, can I at least bring the package. Again I explain this was a ground turkey roll and I am not going to fish out the package which again would contain bits and pieces of rancid meat. She then says ok, that is fine just bring in your receipt and "we will take care of you." I take down her name and write it on the receipt and tell her I won't be able to go until tomorrow. She says that is fine.

So I go in to the store store the next day and go to the customer service counter. I explain the situation and give my receipt to the girl working at the counter with the name of the girl I spoke to written on it. She immediately just starts shaking her head and saying no, you have to bring in the product. I again ask her to use common sense and consider that my product is rancid fowl smelling meat that I immediately threw away packaging and all. I spoke to the girl whose name is written on the receipt and she told me it would be fine to just bring in the receipt and she acknowledged she knew her but then says well she knows we cant accept a "return' without the product or packaging.

At this point I tell her look its not about the damn $3 or $4 its the fact that I bought a meat product from the shelves of this store that had expired a week ago and stunk up my entire house and had me on the verge of puking and someone needs to know about it. She says hold on let me get my managaer. manager comes over, I again go through the whole story and get well I'm sorry but without the product/packaging there is nothing they can do. I then tell him they are going to lose a customer over this and he just keeps repeating the same lines. I walk out disapointed and amazed that they would actually treat their customers this way. I am now officially done shopping at Wal-Mart for ANYTHING.

I undertand how you felt completely. I have been dealing with these types of issues in my local Walmart store ever since we moved here 10 years ago. You can't go in there unless you have unlimited time to spend and, you don't want to go in there if you're in a bad mood, your visit will make it worse. For some silly zoning reason, Montgomery County in Maryland USA, will not allow the super centers to come into the county. We're the only county in Maryland that does not have Super Walmarts or Super Targets. My local neighborhood Walmart has always been one of the messiest places to shop at. Not only that, they never seem to ensure that they have enough people to wait on their customers. I have been in there when only one cashier is working and all the other registers are empty of personnel. As to the pharmacy well that is another fiasco. I was told one evening when I went to drop off a prescription that I needed filled that I would not be able to take it away with me that evening. When I asked why the pharmacist on duty just snapped back that she didn't have any body else to help her. My retort was well your personnel problems are not my problem and I will take my prescription business elsewhere. There was one six month period where that store became a pleasure to go into even with the hassles of having to shop in the middle of an extensive renovation. Whoever they had as the head manager in there did an excellent job with whipping their sullen employees into shape. If I needed help to find something there were many times this lovely man personally took me to where the item was. Unfortunately, after the renovation was completed, he was transferred to the Super Walmart much nearer to his home. I can't blame him for wanting to be closer to home what with the gas prices but, it wasn't long before that Walmart began to go back to their old ways. I continue to go there because I don't have much choice. I don't have a car therefore, it is easier for me to walk across the street to Walmart. I used to work for Target and Target never let the lines get backed up like Walmart does. As to the store greeters, I find it particularly silly that they have to see your receipt. The only time you should have to worry about viewing a customers receipt and packages is if the alarm goes off which it sometimes does if the cashier has not swiped any electronic doodad properly. I do have to admit tho that they took care of me when I lodged a complaint here about an inferior pair of glasses that I had gotten from the Vision Center. I hadn't had them a year yet and they were already falling apart. I kept losing the lenses out of one side. I was actually on myway to Walmart when I got a bit of something blow into my eye which necessitated me to remove my glasses. When I went to take them off, the left lens popped out onto the blacktop. Thankfully, I was right there and could retrieve the lens. I went to the vision center and theyput the lens back in and put a permanent screw in to hold it. Unfortunately, when they put that permanent screw in, it warped the frame badly and the right side lens started to pop out. When the left side lens popped out after that permanent screw, I had had it. I took them back in and told them I had never had such an inferior pair of frames. I have worn glasses all my life (since first grade). Glasses are very important to me and I never mistreated any glasses I have. I do like to see what is going on. Well I was told that there was no warranty on frames past the original 30 days. Since this was about 8 months later, that put me out of business. I was not in a position to be able to buy another pair glasses. As it was when I got that pair, I had to take the money for our electric and gas bills to pay for the glasses and just worked out paying those bills with the respective utilities. I was in better shape financially to get another pair of glasses but, I didn't feel that I should have had to. I complained here and I was surprised that I got a call from both corporate managers in charge of the Vision Centers. I was told that I would get a whole new pair of glasses at no charge whatever style I wanted and new lenses. I was gobsmacked to say the least. I didn't expect that I would get any kind of a resonse since I had complained before on the general sloveness of that store and the unfriendly attitude of the employees. Obviously this is a problem that is not restricted to just one store it's nationwide and international wide. You would think that the powers that be with Walmart would realize that they need to revamp their whole system. Unfortunately, they also realize that they beat just about every body else out on prices for most things and people are going to continue to shop there no matter what has happened or how rudely they've been treated. When it comes down to it, money talks and BS walks. One final venting complaint tho to see if any other Walmart store goes thru this. Has anyone ever gotten frustrated with the fact that their buyers do not pay attention to what moves? I find it increasingly frustrating that I will find a product that I like and when I go back to get it again, you won't see it. I love their brand of pre-cooked sausage patties (at least our local Walmart has a freezer case). They are a good buy and do not have unidentifiable bits in them to hurt your teeth. I couldn't find them for the longest time. Thankfully they have begun to show back up in the freezer case again. Oh and here's another one. This store has pallets full of stuff piled in the middle of the major aisles for stocking. They had so much stuff at one point they had the section where you pick up the lunch box pies and other baked goods blocked on almost all sides to where you couldn't reach a product. When they had first completed the renovation, the store was nice. I was finally able to walk thru there without fearing that I would get hurt but it's gone back to its old sloppy self again. UGH! Even with all these aggravations, I will continue to shop there for the prices but it sure would be nice if we didn't have to put up with this kind of abuse in order to save money. If it wasn't a considerable amount of money that I've saved, I wouldn't shop there.

Walmart fraudulent charges

I got a Walmart prepaid money card so that I could be secure in knowing that my daughter who is away at college would always have money available to her in an emergency.
Twice since I got the card they have allowed fraudulent charges to my card. The first time I called them and told them there was a fraudulent charge from a hotel. The next day they allowed the same hotel to charge my card two more times. Then a gas station charged me for gas I didn't get because the pump was messed up and I had swiped my card. The gas station put a $70.00 hold on the card. Both times this happened I had to argue with a customer service rep and be very rude to them to even get a supervisor to call me back. The first incident the supervisor was nice and apologetic and told me since I had already reported this company for fraudulent charges, I wouldn't have to wait the ten days. He told me my acct would be credited the next day. I should have known this was to easy and it had to be a lie. Of course, the next day was a Friday and when the money wasn't there I called back and was informed they do not post credits on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday so it would be Tuesday. The bad thing was that I didn't even ask for them to refund the original fraudulent charge during any of these conversations. The last time, with the gas station, my daughter was out of town and I had went that day and put $100.00 on the card so she would have it should something happen. Well, something happened and she was in another state with no funds and I was in another state for a family wedding, so I had to wire her money. I should have known better then to put money on this card but didn't want her to carry cash. ANYBODY WHO IS THINKING OF GETTING ONE OF THESE CARDS, DON'T! If you have one and they haven't messed it up, THEY WILL. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONNEL ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND YOU CAN NEVER GET A SUPERVISOR AND IF YOU DO, THEY ARE GOING TO LIE AND TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR BECAUSE THEY ARE COWARDS. YOU WOULD THINK A COMPANY LIKE WALMART COULD DO BETTER THEN THIS!

Walmart employee

This morning I was in super walmart grocery dept. shopping at 5:00AM and employee ( Ms. Pomra ) was working in the bread aisle. Ms. Pomra took off her shoe and scatched the bottom of her foot on the edge of the bread shelf. I reported this to the manager at this time. He walked up to the end of the aisle and stood there. NOT SAYING A WORD TO HER. He then walked away. As he got close to me I said something to him about not talking to her at that point. Because she could have done this again if she hadn't already done it before I seen her. I think this was very unsanitary. How would she fine if she had seen someone do this. I told the manager that I was reporting it to the health dept.

I had arranged for a photo of 6 of my grandchilren, myself and my husband to be done on the 15 of February.
When we arrived the photographer had no idea how she was going to do the pictures. The children ranged from 3 months to 3 years of age. My adult children were the ones that arranged where and how the kids should sit and on top of all of it they were the ones that entertained the kids so that we could get the pictures done.
When all was said and done the package cost me $149.99 and I felt like we were the ones that were doing all the work. My children and grandchildren all traveled from different areas of NH in order for this to happen and I was utterly disappointed with the service that we received.
I would like to know if someone plans on making this better as I was far from pleased with this whole experience.

The way you folks run your super Walmart stores, it is just a matter of time untill you follow in K-Mart's undoing. Remember, they were the largest at one time, forgot how they got there, and filled chapter 11. I was in your New Haven Ct. store today. I don't care how low your prices are. If ytou are constantly out of things, and one has to wait 10 people deep at the 6 or so open registers, more folks will do like me and the other 3 people. We left our carts with the items in them, and walked out of the store. Steve shollander01@att.net

Ma'am I understand. Sometimes it's almost better for the parent to be posing the children. Especially if they're moody. Who knows your kids better than they're own parents? no one. Dealing with 6 little kids THAT YOUNG is difficult for a stranger. Photographers aren't god. They cant always work miracles, they're just there to snap the trigger. And almost all photography studios are gonna be spendy. There is no such thing as a cheap studio.

Walmart logistics from hell!!

For anyone out there considering making a purchase via Wal-Mart’s website - please take heed! I purchased an Apple iPod from their website on 6/26/2009 and was advised that the arrival date would be between 7/10/09 - 7/14/09. I received an email from Wal-Mart yesterday - 7/12/09 - stating that my "order is cancelled" and that I should receive a refund within "2 to 4 business cycles". When I called the online customer support number to get further information all they could tell me was that my shipment was "lost in transit" and that they didn't have any more info. I asked to speak to a manager and the rep told me that all of them worked in the “same capacity” and that no one could provide me any further info about what happened to my order - not even the supervisor. Now how in the hell, are they supposed to be the ones to handle the online shipments but can't tell you anything about them or provide any assistance? Next, I called the Wal-Mart Corporate office and all they did was take my contact information and told me that they would have a manager from the Online Support Department to call me - the same nimrods that supposedly couldn't provide any further assistance from my initial call. In short, I basically received the run-around from Wal-Mart associates and the impression that I should just deal with the shortcomings of Wal-Mart’s logistics. I advise everyone to really think twice before placing an online order with Wal-Mart. I found that especially with electronics, Wal-Mart’s prices are very comparable to other stores like Target and Best Buy - who provide shipments within 24-48 hours! I wish badly that I would have chosen to patronize one of them instead of Wal-Mart. I have learned from this incident and I suggest that you do the same!

It sounds as if Walmart has issues with their shipping. We were to recieve a flat screen tv yesterday, and it did not arrive. Their tracking system is rediculous! According to that, the order was at LAX on the 23rd of June. This is about 300 miles from where I live - and it is now July3. After reading about the lost order, I fear this may be just what we are facing (lost, stolen). My husband is horribly disappointed. Some Father's Day gift this turned out to be.

Walmart checkout

Wal Mart Grocery offers all night shopping, but at 8 or 9pm there are only 1 or 2 checkers. This has been going on for 2 years or more. The lines are way too long and the check out is slo...w. I have expected others to complain, but if they have, nothing has been done about it!

Not only are the lines long but check out is held at a small "so many items, or less" lane. I deeply feel sorry for the 75 (or older) yr old cashier that is lifting and scanning heavy items with no help, as the other cashier is busy with her lane. The result was I had to pull my scanned grocery's that was placed in the bags, off the spinner and place them on the floor until my shopping cart was empty of my selections. I then had to lift all my grocery bags off the floor and back into the cart. Another annoyance, I understand that floors need to be waxed and what not, but a few grocery isles were roped off and closed down and the smell of the chemicals was enough to knock any one over. Previous"open" Isles must have recently had the floors done, as it was noticeable that some of the liquid chemical was on the shelf's, spoiling the produce. I seen the last box of Rice Milk leaking due to it. Among my purchases I was ground hamburger and a coconut in which were both spoiled only noticeable after I drove my 30 miles back home. The coconut was heavily molded inside (opened the next day after purchase) and meat smelled spoiled ( opened right away to portion) to place into freezer bags). So I am calling to see if I can be refunded my spoiled produce, I surly can bring with me the spoiled produce to!

The Wal-Mart grocery in the complaint is on Meadowbrook Dr. in Fort Worth. The time of the occurrences is between 8pm and 9pm on Sat. and Sun. nights and the lines are 8 to 12 deep. After waiting 20 minutes and getting no closer to check out, I walked out mad!
There is no excuse for this! It happens every weekend!
I don't know where you work and shop, but it certainly is not at this store or at these times, so do not as tho you are an authority.

Sweety, there is a fine difference between "the customer is always right" and "the customer is a spoiled brat."

At the four stores I've shopped at (one of which I work for), they typically shut down most of the registers for security reasons at 12:00. The primary reason is that one CSM cannot manage five or six registers and still be expected to get the other tasks (including fixing up all the messes that you, our beloved customer, make.) completed.

There is also a practical reason behind this: between 12:00 and 7:00, we average a rough total of 150 check outs between the two registers we leave open.

Too many times, when I'm running a register, I'll have a customer standing in a line of maybe three people ### about how long they're having to wait. The average checkout time is approximately 2 minutes (speedy register) or 5 minutes (belt register.) but these people cannot wait the ten minutes necessary to get checked out.

The solution is simple: if you don't like waiting in a short line overnight, wait in a long line during the day, and stop yelling at us underpaid, already mistreated Wal-Mart skeleton crew minions.

P.S: On a vindictive note, the proper procedure for checking out when lines get two long is as follows: call managers to front of store to help with lines, then call for stockers to serve as "backup cashiers". Next time you are in a ten minute line and can't wait, demand that you speak to a manager, and when he arrives, demand that he checks you out. You'll get an appreciative chuckle out of the other two cashier's stationed there.
