I have used Xfinity on and off over the years and always have problems with short internet drops which causes issues with online gaming and when connected to a VPN to work from home.
Their customer service and tech support is the most infuriating horrible process of any company I’ve ever done business with. There’s no way to contact anyone aside from the automated chat bot which sometimes will allow you to get to an actual person however more often than not you end up in an endless chat loop with the automated bot.
My most recent experience has shown me how shady of a company I am dealing with. After over a year in my last apartment using Xfinity, I transferred to a different apartment a few doors down the hall. This building has xfinity preinstalled so all you have to do is active the service with the app. However there’s always some issue and the process doesn’t work. Then they have to send out a technician which they don’t tell you up front is going to cost you $100 for professional installation. In reality the issue is on their and all the technician did was make a phone call to connect. Recommendation: Avoid Xfinity due to internet connection that micro drops all the time, horrible customer service and tech support, and definitely for their shady business practices charging for things you didn’t approve of and refusing to refund them.
