Trying to upgrade my Teo cellphones and I'm being asked if I'm on debt review which I am not then I find out cell c listed me on experien for an account I sorted in 2020 and they needed to remove it but my score has not been adjusted as yet and I'm due for upgrading this is the last month . All I'm asking is to upgrade to what I'm paying now that'd all. I pay R1300 a month and sadly I'm looking at canceling cos I can't upgrade

Cell c upgrade
Good day
I have a complaint, i am now 6 years with cell c, so i have 3 contracts with cell c
Every 2 years i want to upgrade their is always a problem from their side, then my score is to low or something, every time i must do a upgrade something is the problem my upgrade date was for august. The 2 upgrades of my phones are through but the 3 th one they ignore me, i sent several emails no response, from their side, i also called in they will give the message, nothing is happening
I am really angry because of the poor service
They can call you every day if you owe them money but when they must do their job, no assistance

Router account - ref number [protected]
I took out a month to month router account with cell C. When Netflix became popular, I got myself uncapped data from Multichoice and also needed it for assistance with daughter's homework. When I went to Cell C, The Pavillion to cancel the month to month, I was told it had turned into a contract. They could not say when it started, why I never got a new router when the contract started cos the one I had, was falling apart after so many months...Without my knowledge, consent etc I had a router contract. After a whole lot of run around being sent from pillar to post, even complained here, there was no assistance. Instead, Cell C refused to upgrade my cellphone account [protected]) claiming I owe a cancellation fee on the router. After a lot of frustration and phone, text and email harassment by Cell C, I paid the amount of R1841.73 that CSS had been hounding me for as Cancellation fee. I sent through the PoP to the brooksluyt email address they provided, the communication demanding payment still continued...I have spoken to M Phakedi, 2x Supervisors, they all apologized and promised to update their records...Nothing. Now they are demanding I approve a debit order for this router account...this is negatively impacting my back account and my credit rating. It's one thing that they refuse to upgrade the cellphone account over this when it's all paid up, it's another for them to ruin my credit rating. This is not right! I demand that this is resolved asap!

Query about outstanding service fee for account cell no. [protected]
I have sent an email to customer service about this but have not received any feedback from them except an automated response that this query will be attended to between 2 to 5 working days.
In April 2021 I requested telephonically that my cell phone account be changed to prepaid as my contract had expired.
The Cell C agent who answered the phone agreed and requested that I pay R238,40 as per required notification period.
My number was converted to prepaid and the amount of R238,40 was debited from my FNB banking account.
On 30 June 2021 a further R259,49 was debited from my FNB account which was requested by Cell C.
Now suddenly in 2023, two years later a request for R259.49 was sent via sms from cell C and now it has escalated to R289.49 by NuDebt collectors who added R30.

Fiber cancellation without fore-warning
I received an email stating that my line would be suspended, I responded to this and was advised that I should forward my POP for Oct & Nov which I did. Following that I received an email that my facility has been cancelled.
When I follow up on Sunday morning as my fiber is now inacctive, I was advised that no payment was received since June, yet every month I send POP and request confirmation of payment allocation.
The CellC fiber "collections/accounts/legal" team have never commicated any outstanding balance, my invoices come money without any carried over amount.
They state I should pay the cancellation fee 1st and then apply for a new fiber line yet I was wrongfully disconnected and [protected]@cfibre.co.za team is of no help whatsoever.

I took a contract last year for a laptop. It was faulty and I send it back. As of yet have not received the laptop and was billed for it. I believe it is unfair. Cancellation letter of debit order from my Absa Bank account:
To whom it may concern
My name is Sadha Shemondro Felix. I have opened a contract with CellC for a contract phone. I have informed the Port Elizabeth Cleary Park CellC branch that my salary get paid into my account on the last day of each month. They must debit only on the last day of the Month.
There was only one Month in September 2023, I had technical issues and I made a manual payment into CellC Nedbank account and put my name and surname as reference on the manual payment. As weeks went on I received sms stating my account is in arrears please make payment. I yet again went on a different occasion back to CellC –Cleary Park branch spoke to one of the consultant they told me due to manual payment, payment will take time to reflect as paid into the CellC account.
I phoned CellC customer care service number 084 135 no reply even when you wait to press option 3 the call center drops the phone. I had no help after numerus attempts of phoning CellC customer care. I went on google I got the customer care email still no help.
The month of October 30th I did a manual payment of R600 into CellC Nedbank account, because I had no idea why my account is in areas and I have never skipped any payments. I made a small mistake by entering my name Sadha Felix as reference to my account payment and immediately went to the Cell C branch in Cleary Park ask the consultant to assist me. The lady told me I had to put this number in as reference when I do manual payments ([protected]) Nedbank. Then she told me its okay she did sort it out on the system.
Couple days later, I went into my Absa banking app ,so shocked to see CellC debited R1.200 out of my account. When I phoned and phoned after numerus attempts they phoned me back on the 6 November after 6 emails I have send complaining. The Mr. I spoked to his name is Kikata he act as if he was the Manager and still could not help me.He sounded more worried for sale as for my problem. As I spoked to Mr.Kakata I asked him if I can speak to a Manager then only I realized he was not the manager in the first place. He put my call on hold and told me there is no Manager I should go to the branch where I opened the contract and see if they can cancel my debit to manual payment and regarding my R1,200 that is debited out of my Absa account.
I am very unhappy with your poor service CellC, and for this reason I don’t want CellC debits, I will make manual payments on the last day of each month until my contract is finish.
I want my R1.200 to be refunded back into my Absa account ASAP thank you.

On the 26 March 2022 I moved to the UK permanently and asked Cell C to stop the DATA contract [protected], as the sim is no longer in use, I was informed that this cannot be done till the end of the contract, this was cancelled in August as well.
Why am I still being billed for any of this, Cell C must reimburse me for the DATA that was never used.

Payment allocation
Good day
I've been a cell c customer for many years. I missed 2 payments and got handed over. I paid up the account within a month. Send numerous emails with proof of payment. Called and the agent said that the allocation department did'nt allocate my payment I should resend which I did. I called again and was told that I should move my money from my bank account as the account was still not updated and a big debit order was set to go off. This morning I received an email that my entire contract has been canceled and I must pay r38000.00 and still no payments updated on their system. My id number [protected].
They don't respond to any of my emails.
My issue is still not resolved. I have sent all my proof that the payment was made to NIMBLE that Cell C handed me over to. I also emailed the correspondence from NIMBLE that the account was paid up and handed back to Cell C.
Cell C refuses to allocated my payment. R5000 is no joke just to throw away.
I'm extremely frustrated with the service with Cell C!

Adjusting of payment
On Tuesday 31 October 2030 I received an sms informing me that Cell C will be adjusting my premium. If I sign a Contract it binds me to pay particular amount on particular day if I fail I am panelized. Cell C mut not unilaterally increase their payments before I agree. Last time they didi it they blame it on Covid now they are doing it again. Already I am paying more than this gadget is worth. so they must stop this increment because that is the breach of contract. Otherwise we can cancel this account because it is not operated fairly.

Customer service refuses to close my account - to be honest, I can't remember the last time they helped me with anything
They keep escalading my case to 'legal' and dismissing me for days, just for me to redo the process with another annoyed call centre agent. They're now doing this thing where they keep transfering me to differnt departments and just putting me on hold - i've literally been on hold for this particular department transfer for 45 minutes, i've bene on the phone for over an hour

2020 I was retrenched, couldn't pay my account, I was then handed over to Shapiro Sheiks, I made arrangements, I tried to paid whatever I can afford, I got a job in 2021 where I started paying even though it wasn't much but I tried as I am a single parent, 2023 which is this year paid the full amount on the 18 September 2023 and sent the prove of payment to Shapiro sheiks, Lawyers requested for the paid up letter as I paid the amount in full, cell c keep on saying I am owing even if the lawyers insist that I paid in full.

A broken laptop on contract
25th august 23 mecer laptop contracts taken
2nd September 23 laptop taken in white and black screen
27th September 23 received replacement mecer latop
28th September 23 taken back to the store as it was broken/ missing links etc
2nd October 23 Mercer accredited technician was sent to assess the item. Consultant clearly requested a credit back to the store of the mecer laptop.
The laptop was repair wholly. I have demanded my contract cancellation with immediate effect but to no avail nothing is done. Who the hell wants to pay for a broken junk.

In store service at Cell C Pinetown
I went to cell c in Pinecrest mall today during my lunch to do a sim swap as mine was damaged. I was greeted by a colored gentleman who advised he cannot assist me with my driver's license I need my id. Cool, they don't even accept a recently certified copy. So, I ask him what I need to do, he said you need to buy a sim card and call the cell c customer care. I take out my card to pay and he advised they don't accept card payments. ok this I can understand due to the low amount, so I go to pick n pay and draw cash as its nearer than the bank. I come back to the shop and give him the R50 note to pay, he takes it and comes back after a while and says sorry we don't have any change? okay by now my mood is already tripped as they have nothing to assist me thus far. So, I ask him what do I do now? "You need to go make change and come back" I was very annoyed, but I go and come back with the change. When I get back, I am now being assisted by Ayanda Mthembu, he rings up the sim card and I tell him to please get the manager to assist them with having change for their customers as its not nice to make your customer go up and down for trivial reasons and told him that the other consultant just sent me away because you guys don't take cards. His response left me flabbergasted, he told me, did you really expect to pay R4.00 with your card? I then tell him that having cash defeats the purpose anyway as I was sent away a second time to go and make change as they didn't have any, again his response left me irritated. He said Well we don't have tills here at the shop, so we won't keep change. I am a branch manager in the very mall, and I deal with customers every single day. I thrive on service and making people feel good, its why we retain our customers and why we get a salary. I didn't feel like a customer in Cellc Pinecrest today and felt as though me walking into the shop was a burden and irritation to the consultants. What a horrible feeling and experience to have. I don't think they have any customer service skills, and they are not equipped with the resources to do their jobs, [change/floats/card machines] so they make you feel like it's your fault for walking in? It made me wonder how many other customers are they treating like this who just walk away and go to the competitors? I have been with Cellc for so many years I can't even remember, and this is the first time I have ever experienced such shocking service. Calling the call center and being assisted so efficiently and professionally is what I am used to with CellC but Pinecrest Shop 231, Wow never again will I set foot there again.

I sent an email on 15/9/2023 requesting to cancel contract. No response received.
I sent a follow up email on 9/10/2023 and still did not receive any response.
I then phoned on 16/10/2023 - was told that cannot cancel via email must phone.
Asked to be phoned back by someone that can understand afrikaans - none received
Email was sent on 15/9/2023 to Cell C customer care, with account number [protected] quoted in the subject line together with the words cancellation of account - requesting that both contracts be cancelled on the specific account. Was not processed despite follow ups. After complaint lodged only one contract was cancelled on the account and not both.

Now they say the finance department has decided to keep the additional credit for the next month. On the 12 September 2023, i called the retentions department to cancel my contract on [protected] to cancel and they confirmed that cancellation is 30 days and on the 12 October 2023, contract will be cancelled and i will receive pro-rata data until the 12 October 2023 and charged only until the 12 October 2023.
i am very disappointed that i was charged full price for OCTOBER 2023.

I have been a Cell C customer since its inception and feel I deserve better treatment than this..
I am a senior citizen with no income and no pension. I wanted to cancel my one contract which ended 30 July 2023. I phoned on 30 June to cancel for 30 July.
On 30 July I phoned Cell C again to make sure it was cancelled, and was told to phone the cancellation department as it had not been done. This I did and was told it had now been done!.
Unfortunately I just presumed it had now been cancelled and only checked my statements this morning. To my astonishment I see I was still being charged on this number that was supposedly cancelled (I have 2 other contracts I was checking on).
I phoned the cancellation dept and customer service, who told me that this contract only ends on 30 July 2025. In other words, instead of being cancelled, this contract was renewed without my knowledge. Now i am told i must go to the police to make an affidavit and open a case for fraud. Really... I don't know how this happened - not once but twice... Please help me cancel this, as i cannot pay a contract I dont want.
