Dear Sir/Madam,
It is my desire to bring to your notice my complaint about how my family was denied boarding our flight to New York and the consequent predicament and losses we have incurred.
My name is Athanasius I Nwogwugwu, living at No. 9 McKenzie Rd, Salford M7 3TH. I had, through the agency, Flights Today Limited, booked a British Airways flight ticket (economy), which was operated by Aer Lingus. The booking reference is XQ85VH, while the flight number is BA2073, scheduled to depart from Manchester Airport. The ticket alone cost a total sum of £3,530.00 (three thousand, five hundred and thirty pounds) for my family of five, and the flight was bound for New York JFK from Manchester Airport at 08:10 am via Dublin, on Monday, the 18th of August 2025. Unfortunately, on our arrival for boarding at Manchester airport, my family was denied boarding because we did not have an ESTA. As we could not receive it electronically before the flight departure, we had to return home. All my efforts to rebook the flight have yielded no results. The Customer Service of Aer Lingus would refer me to British Airways, which, in turn, refers me to the agency. The agency, on its part, refers me back to the airlines. I am being turned back and forth without any outcome. The agency has even told me that your airline is in the best position to offer a solution or advise them on what to do, since, according to them, they no longer have our tickets in their system as required by the rules. Sadly to note, however, after making my payment and subsequently receiving the e-ticket, neither the agency nor the airlines provided a follow-up, an update, or even a reminder before the flight. Dear Sir/Madam, permit me to submit that it will be very sad or even a tragedy for someone of my income level to just lose such an amount of money, not to mention all the inconveniences and other expenses incurred for the travel. I therefore humbly plead that you offer some help or a solution in this my predicament. I would not mind reserving the booking for a later date in the future. Attached herewith is a copy of our e-ticket. Here are my email address and mobile telephone number:[protected]@gmail.com and +[protected].
Hoping for a positive consideration of my complaint, I am thankful in advance for your understanding.
Yours sincerely,
Athanasius I Nwogwugwu
