JFK Airport Accident at terminal near taxistand

Hello,

I arrived by international flight to JFK airport on December 1st, 2023. Me and my mother was going to the taxistand around 8pm, as we both were tired after a long flight. But then out of the blue, staff workers who were collecting baggagecart did not take notice of me. They had gather a HUGE line of baggage-trolleys and were pushing them in high-speed toward my direction. Without a warning, they ran into me so I fell to the ground with a huge pain in my lower leg causing blood and bruises. Luckily, I did not need to seek medical attention and I was not injured. But I have a photo of my leg if needed. How will you compensate me for this?

JFK Airport JFK Immigration/Security

If there was ever an organisation that ought to know how many customers were arriving, when, and where... it should be JFK Security/Immigration.

Instead, waited for almost two hours on 24th Nov 2023 whilst in a queue of over 500.

I've been caught out by JFK security queues before, but thought it was unlucky. How can such bad customer service be waiting to "welcome" guests to America?

The actual security staff were very pleasant, but how can it be right for 90% of the desks to be unmanned? Privatise the whole operation I suggest, and get a bit of efficiency and customer focus in.

I will be positively avoiding JFK in future, and recommend others do.

Desired outcome: Explanation, apology & any confidence they will improve things.

JFK Airport Immigration

I arrived on Wednesday 15tn November into terminal 8 on the British airways flight BA0117.

Only 2 immigration desks open, the wait was literally hours and the queue continued to build as other flights landed.

There were more staff ushering people from 1 queue into 2 queues than agents processing visitors.

This is unacceptable, the terminal needs to appropriately staff. It’s unbelievable that you deem this type of wait acceptable.

In 2023 how do you now have automatically tellers in this terminal?

Desired outcome: Acknowledgement that you need to do better. You need to staff appropriately and process visitors within reasonable time

JFK Airport JFK Baggage Handling

I arrived on DL1239 from Atlanta at 11:56p on November 13. I have now been at baggage claim for 45 minutes and still don’t have my bag. How can an airport of this size not be able to handle the volume of baggage that comes through here. It seems ridiculous that I should spend almost as much time at the baggage carousel waiting as I spent in the air flying here. Come on. This makes New York City look amateurish.

JFK Airport Security

I was at terminal 7 just now trying to go through security.

The queue I was in ran out of trays and we spent about ten minutes asking for trays only to be ignored. The women was incredibly rude to me while I was doing my best to follow her instructions- she told me off for not taking my shoes off even though there was no sign and she hasn't asked me to. Then she complained that we were using the wrong kind of trays even though they were the only ones we could get from the other queue because all the staff were ignoring us. She then said 'are you deaf' and 'why don't you people listen'. We were all trying our best to get through security in a smooth way so we could make our flights and not only was she unhelpful and didn't give proper instructions, the way she spoke to me and others was completely unacceptable. If you expect passengers to be polite to staff then there is no excuse for being so blatantly rude.

Desired outcome: An apology for such appalling customer service and rudeness, and clear expectations communicated to staff to be polite to passengers. It's not much to ask.

JFK Airport TSA, terminal 7 Oct 13 2023

TSA person at terminal 7 middle checkpoint on October 13 at 245 pm didn’t “remember” reviewing my tsa status. A bit alarming that she didn’t recall since that is part of her job. Two people that checked it before her got it right. Petite woman with a long ponytail hairstyle messed up. She might need more training management team.

Why isn’t there a dedicated line for precheck?

Do better JFK.

JFK Airport Parking lot

On the 17th of September,2023 8:54am ,I Eric Jennings was not allowed to leave parking lot 10 minutes before expiring time. I was in aware that I “must” posses a Credit/Debit or Apple pay or any sort to pay!I explained to the attendant that I only have cash to pay for time used! It was explained to me that if cannot get someone to pay with a card or such that police would have to be notified and the decision would be there’s to move forward! However I feel this is legal robbery! The security aid was informed that I have no credit card of any sort! I explained I did not know cash could not be used and to threaten me , “Oh many police will come.”Again to penalize for for not having a plastic card if any is legal robbery!

Desired outcome: I would like the additional pay returned back to the used account

JFK Airport Charge for a luggage cart

On 09/12, I took Korean Airline from JFK to Seoul. I had three piece of luggage: two need to be checked in and one is a carry-on. Since my taxi dropped me off near the cart area, I used my credit card to get one cart. But like a couple of other customers, carts cannot be separated. The machine said: use cash. I thought I could go without a cart. So I gave up. This happened around 9:30 PM, 09/11.

Now I am at Seoul international airport, realizing the JFK charged me $6 plus tax. This is so unfair. I will not be back to NYC for one month. I am writing this for records purpose, and will dispute the charge.

Desired outcome: Refunding me.

JFK Airport Personnel member in the T4, Sec 13

Today, at 20:40, I was checked by the security guards. Some of my stuff was checked through the Ct scanner. During the check, one of my shoes was lost. I approached a stuff member. I asked her three times to check my shoe. She kept ignoring me. Other people having missing items got them, but not me. Not only this is discriminatory but also an act of neglection.

As a result, I was late for my flight from

JFK to LV (21:10). I had to book another flight at 7:30 am and pay extra for the hotel bc I don’t live in NYC area. My two-day trip will be a single trip. What is more frustrating is that I’ve been planning and saving for this trip.

This is complete an insulting and disrespectful experience. People who are disrespectful and racist shouldn’t be working at an international airport!

Personnel info: she was a lady of an Indian origin. Another lady was black woman.

Desired outcome: I want reimbursement

JFK Airport Staff member

I left jfk airport on Saturday the the 26/08/23. The rudeness of a staff member at the Brooklyn rebel Named lakelya was appalling. Her and another Mexican colleague continued to laugh at myself and husband after he asked them could he swap an un opened bottle of juice for another straight after buying it. She then took it off him and opened the seal stating “I have the power now what are you gonna do” we were both shocked at how we were treated, laughed at and spoken to. A response would be greatly appreciated. A number was also provided in the receipt 200593.

JFK Airport About my girlfriends paperwork

Dear sir or madam my name is miss Anne tickle and I live in the UK and my girlfriend lives in new York for over 4years I have been trying to get her over to me OK .and when I have been paying for her ticket this time I payed for her and her passport she got on the plane she flyed over and just before she woz coming into Manchester she woz told she had to pay for her paperwork I want to no why it as taken so long for the airport to tell us this so now she as now come back to new York because I had no money left to pay so now I am going to be paying 200for her ticket and what ever for the paperwork

Desired outcome: I would like her to be back on the plane and flying over to me here in the UK this is not good for the airport her name is miss Becky Murray she lives in now York she maybe still at the airport

JFK Airport TSA at JFK Airport New York City

We had a terrible experience taking a flight back from New York to Chicago at JFK airport on May 22. (Reservations: HI3HLZ and HI5UQX). There was not enough staff on TSA check for so many flights and we were all grouped together in one line ragardless of what flight leaves sooner or later. The line was barely moving. We were in line for 2 and a half hours! I have not seen such chaos at any other airport around the world! Neeeless to say, we missed the flight. There was not another available flight until the next day and from a different airport (LaGuardia). We also missed work the next day because of this.

JFK Airport Passport checking system error harassment

Yesterday, on 5th August 2023, Me and my son (12 years old) had a connecting flight from JFK to CVG at 5:10 PM.

We came from Doha and then after clearing Immigration, baggage collection and baggage re-check in, we went to security check-in to proceed towards flight gate. But at the check point, the lady scanned my son, Ayush’s passport, but in the system instead of my son’s name Ayush Bag, his Dad’s name Santanu Bag was showing. I tried to say I have been using this passport for my son in every security check point, no where we saw this system discrepancy, it must be a temporary system glitch, I have flight in one hour. But they insulted me horribly and asked me to go to counter. It was long wait, no AA worker was kind and thoughtful to help, eventually I lined up again, then at other check point, another lady scanned my son’s passport everything was good. We got in but missed the flight as time was wasted for going here and there for asking help from heartless workers. Just for airport’s system glitch, a minor was doubted, insulted and harassed in brutal way.

I am a civilian at US Air Force, no need to teach me govt security protocol. If one system at check point has glitch, you should have take me to other station’s system. Abusing passengers and asking to get out of the place and go to the counter is not the problem solution. I need serious apologies with compensation for wasting my time with such humiliation and harassment.

Desired outcome: Serious apologies and compensation for my missed flight. If workers do not get proper training for temporary system glitch crisis problem solution, it is airport’s big deal not passenger’s problem.

JFK Airport Women’s restroom

The old lady worker was very racist over there

She was telling when I went inside the restroom in front of everyone that you all Muslims are very messy and she said to me this sentence three times because we use water to clean our selves

And she is not have any right to say that to me like that I didn’t even use the bathroom till she just started yelling at me because she hate all Muslims it was really painful and sad situation in front of strangers and my little daughter who born in Usa what kind a impression she just had

And I am also respectable and responsible Usa citizen

I want to show her face to media

But first I want to complain about her to you guys hopefully you can help .

JFK Airport Security screening

On 7/19/23 my family arrived from the Philippines. There were hundreds of people and very long lines to get through customs. All the baggage from our flight was unloaded by airport personnel and we had to search through hundreds of bags to find ours and then the long trip to terminal 7 via walking, escalators and conveyor belts and a train. There were hundreds of people going through security screening and only two lines were open. The security personnel were rude and pushy having forgotten that they were doing us no favors but were being paid to do a job. There was not adequate space for travelers to put belts and shoes back on, re-pack electronics etc. After all that we missed our connecting flight because of their inefficiencies and had to spend the night in the airport which was freezing cold even in July. I will avoid using this airport in the future.

JFK Airport Immigration line

Very few CBP officers operating stations when there are multiple flights from Europe arriving at terminal 1. Only July 13th there was only 1 immigration station open for over 150 people waiting to go through passport control. The wait times for flights landed around 1pm-2pm was over 2 hours for passport control and that is just absurd as to how long the wait line is for non-US citizens.

Desired outcome: More officers manning stations for passport control or a better, smoother way for non-US citizens to get through the immigration line.

JFK Airport Very poor customer sevice even after miising a connecting flight due to delayed flight of jet blue

I missed my connection flight from jfk to istanbul due to delayed first flight from nassau to jfk.

And after reaching jfk we have been told to go here and there without any proper response from jet blue staff. Jet blue staff treated us very badly and nobody gave an answer yet.

We are really tired and dont know what to do now.

We have no access to any higher authority to raise a complaint.

This is my worst travel exoeriwnce in my life

I never want to be in this airport again in my life.

JFK Airport your service

I purchase a ticket for my grandson (17yrs), plus protection for that ticket He got there late and they but him in standby,I spoke to a supervisor call Patra, no help at all she hang the phone on me. I didnt buy a ticket for my granson to be on standby; my grandson is asthmatic and I dont want nothing to happen to him, thats why I concern. The way your service response, to my concern was not very polite and cold. Today at 9:30, sunday, july 02,2023. You lost a custormer.

JFK Airport Terminal 1 gate 7: pizza pub high prices and not declared before

Today, 28 of June 2023, at Pizza pub in front of gate 7 of Terminal 1, I unfortunately decided to buy here 3 small panini (2 ham & swiss and 1 Turkey & swiss), 3 bananas and a botte of water for a total monstre price of 75,12 USD!

it is unacceptable that in a civilized country such as the united states a food operator is granted the right to operate prices of this type without even exposing them first to customers.
