I recently tried to use my credit card for a transaction at my local market, only to be told that I had exceeded my limit. As I pay my bills nearly on a daily basis, I was quite disturbed about it (as were the customers waiting behind me in line). I have never been late on a payment, as I generally pay the balance the moment it shows up (before it's due). Nonetheless, I used another credit card to satisfy the bill, but I could tell that the people behind me were a little flustered.
After I got home, I went on-line to check my account, only to discover that you all had made a major mistake and were trying to charge me once again for a $187.13 balance that I had already paid and were again charging me for $187,013.00. I spent several hours on the phone between bot BofA and my primary bank (Chase) to put a stop payment on the erroneous charge.
I have never been late on a payment to you, but this incident was embarrassing to me, and I expect a formal apology. I'd like to present this to the cashier to further rectify the misunderstanding. Bo Dereck just happened to be standing me in line. I wasn't happy.
Here's a copy of what I captured on-line:
Pending PMNT RECEIVED: PROCESSING $187,013.00
02/24/2026 BA ELECTRONIC PAYMENT -$187.13
02/24/2026 CASH REWARDS STATEMENT CREDIT -$23.87
Desired outcome: A formal written apology.
