We purchased this recliner on November17th. Bought it home only to find that it is a Safety issue to us as seniors and our pets and grandchildren.
The recliner does not lock in place and if any pressure is put on the raised footrest, it drops and pitches the whole chair forward. It took 12-15 phone calls to get to a rep who could help, and they were of no HELP. Told us at 70 years of age we would have to load it up and bring it back. A restocking fee was going to be deducted. Also, if we wanted them to come pick it up it would cost $280.00+. I had this chair for less than 24hours. The Ashley store it was purchased at is less then 45 miles away. I have had issues with Ashley not standing behind their product before and swore I would never go there again. Had a gift certificate to use and thought i would give them another chance. NEVER EVER AGAIN. WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS OR ANY ASHLEY STORE.
My grandson was injured a pet was injured and an adult has been injured. Yet no one at the furniture store or corporate (contacted 4 days ago have yet to hear from them) has helped.
Claimed loss: injuries to pets and children and seniors.
Desired outcome: I want a full refund and the chair picked up. ASAP This chair is a safety hazard to our pets, grandchildren and us (seniors)
