3/13/26 ADT technician visited ($327.50 charged on 3/27/26 and 4/10/26 $100 charge for new battery) as keypad said "Fault in system". Visit achieved nothing--incorrectly told to buy a cable to reconnect landline and ADT could then communicate with our cell phones--should we have a smoke alarm event. This turned out to be incorrect information. The visit and new battery ($427.50 in total) achieved nothing.
Next we were told by your agents we needed to buy from you a digital system which would connect to our cell phones. (Purchased for $516.02 on 4/20/26.) I had a video technician working with me for 2 hours to try to connect with our cell phones. (In addition we have had numerous phone calls to your agents to try and sort this, and have spent probably 7 hours on the phone getting nowhere.) The technician admitted failure after 2 hours, and said we would need an in person technician to come to our house to set it up. Your agents set 3 times for an appointment and all 3 have been cancelled by you and we were told our area is not serviced by ADT in person technicians (this despite the fact that we had one visit on the 26 of March (as stated.)
We would like to have nothing more to do with your company, and we would like $943.52 refunded immediately. We will return the equipment once I have your reply. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau in addition, to report your company for your appalling, and dishonest, customer service.
Claimed loss: $943.52 to ADT plus $500 in wasted hours speaking futilely to your techinicans
