I have had this company since I moved to Florida in 2019. I had nothing but problems with their lousy equipment. Last year I went several months without service because they wanted to charge a fee for equipment repair. I said cancel it, then we continued to fight about the monthly fee I refused to pay because I was without service. I then received a call from one of the Account Specialists offering to wipe the account balance and give me lifetime repair service and a monthly fee of 14.99. I told her I would not agree to any contract with them but I would take the lesser fee for the year. I* received a new bill in August for September, the amount 33.00. I received a call from them asking for me to agree to a contract for 33.00, I said NO. I ended up with a very RUDE customer service person in Billing and was told I had to pay the 33.00 for September because it was in the contract. I said the good news is I am NOT under a contract with you and I called on Sept. 2nd to cancel because the first was a holiday. They call me almost every day, I do not pick up and I hate to involve my Attorney, but that seems to be where it is going.
Recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM ADT, AND NEVER AGREE ON THE PHONE TO A CONTRACT WITHY ANY COMPANY.
