Whirlpool review: Terrible product

We have been faithful purchasers of whirlpool products for years. About 18 months ago, we purchased a Whirlpool washer. Trusting that the product would bring years of carefree service. Not 6 months after the 1 year warranty expired, the machine stopped working. We paid a serviceman to come in and dignose/fix the problem. We were told that the main board in the unit had burned out. The cost to replace and install the board was as much as we paid for the washer! We took a total loss on the unit! We were forced to purchase a different unit. We received no restitution for our loss.
