We purchased a new refrigerator from Home Depot in Roanoke, VA, 2 months ago. My wife returned to Home Depot's (2x) Customer Service, to complain that the refrigerator was NOT cooling and NOT freezing our food. All the food spoiled in both compartments. Home Depot Customer Service said they could not honor the warranty but could only provide my wife with a Whirlpool phone number. My wife called Whirlpool Customer Service at least twice - with no results! On our 3rd or 4th attempt, Whirlpool instructed my wife, again, to find a technician in the area to service our refrigerator because they could not. Really?! We're still trying to find a technician and if successful, we'll send all the receipts to Whirlpool for reimbursement. Really! The last time my wife called the manufacturer, Whirlpool's Customer Service still was unable to honor the warranty but would do some research and would call us back in "8" days Well, that's come and gone!
Recommendation: DO NOT BUY NEW Whirlpool APPLIANCES, FROM ANYWHERE! WHIRLPOOL CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST AND SO ARE THEIR PRODUCTS!! HOME DEPOT WASN'T ANY BETTER - THEY WERE ONLY GOOD AT TAKING OUR $$$$!!DOCUMENT EVERYTHING...
