On Aug 17, 2025 I placed an online order for $169. I used my EBT Card and I entered my pin once and it didn't go thru so it had me enter it a second time. The order said it was received and approved and 2 minutes later I get an order cancelled notification for non payment. I check my card transactions and Walmart did charge me the $169. I requested a callback thru the app several times and the Walmart System isn't showing the transaction. I keep asking where I can send proof of the transaction and no answer. Finally after about 6 weeks of calling and calling with no success I finally get a representative that sends a message requesting that the billing department request proof of the transaction from me instead of just requesting a refund. Finally a refund is approved but by the time they find a resolution and issue a refund the EBT Card I had used for the transaction had been cancelled by the county (same for all EBT Recipients) and a new EBT Card was issued with a chip on it. So now I've been calling over and over again and hitting a wall every time. I've basically been told there is no way to update the card info and that there is nothing else I can do. It has been over 4 months I feel like Walmart should issue a refund to me on gift card if need be with interest. The time and energy I've put into trying to find someone that knows what they are doing is ridiculous.Walmart.com representatives are offering my no resolution. I feel like I'm backed into a corner. It's like they just want me to say oh well they don't know how to fix it so I guess I'm SOL. Why aren't these representatives trained to handle these issues. It was a computer error on Walmarts side. Not mine.
Claimed loss: $169
Desired outcome: $169 plus interest and time lost having to call repeatedly, being placed on hold just to be told I can't do anything about it. Please return it to a debit card used on my order if a new EBT CARD cannot be entered.
