Walgreens review: pharmacy, management, and delivery service

I am a long time customer of walgreens and have had many problems with the pharmacy. Long waits on the phone, long waits in the drive thru, overall impersonable attitudes and character. I use to cringe when I went through the drive thru because of so many ill experiences.

Today was the most horrible way that I have been so ill treated of all times. Yesterday I called the pharmacy to make sure my meds were going to be delivered. The pharmacist told me "tom" never put my name in the system (I requested home delivery in september or october). I was then "put in the system" to have my meds delivered the next day. I called the pharmacy twice on the 12th (thursday) and was assured my meds would be delivered. At 3:53 pm someone from the pharmacy called to say the delivery person was at my home and no one answered. That is a monstrous lie, because I had been waiting since 9 am. No one knocked on my door, because I was diligently waiting. I need my meds and relied on walgreens to deliver! They failed. I called and talked to the store manager, sarah, and she became very short and curt with me and falsely stated that I was yelling and cursing her. I may have been panicked but understandably so. I was shocked at her rigid conduct and false accusations. She was very cold and uncaring about my concern. She told me my meds wouldn't be delivered until tuesday and she refused to give me the name of the delivery company or the delivery person, whom I was going to report for lying about me not being at home. I told her I could have seizures if I didn't get my meds regularly. She could have cared less.

I am requesting courtesy compensation for the way I was treated and talked down to by the entire staff and store manager; for not having my meds in the delivery system even though I requested it 2 months ago; for not having my important meds delivered on the scheduled day; for being told I have to wait an entire 5 days before I get meds, and for the store manager not offering a staff member to deliver my meds that I didn't get through no fault of my own.

I asked how I was going to be compensated for this disastrous inconvenience, and told her I wanted free meds for this act of incompetence. She transferred me to the pharmacy which I later assumed was a 'dead' transfer because it rang 38 times then disconnected. I hung up in tears and decided to write this long over due complaint.
