I called on Nov. 30th 2020 about a prescription I had submitted for refill via text. I called the store to ask if I could have it filled that day since the weather was supposed to get worse that evening and next day. I was told that my medication could not be filled until day 31. The lady sent me to the pharmacist when I said i've never heard of that.
The lady pharmacist gets on the phone and tried to read policy when I asked any question. I've used walgreens for years. Not 1 time have I ever been told they don't fill prescriptions until day 31. I have been prescribed some sort of narcotic almost the whole time.
I was told yesterday that the medication would be filled on the midnight shift and could be picked up in the morning. I am a creature of habit wand take my medication and vitamins shortly after 5am. I couldn't not wake my child to take her to walgreens so I had to go after dropping her off at school. I get there at 9am December 2nd and they tell me that they are out of that medication and I will have to wait for the truck which comes between 11am and 1pm. Thats 6-8 hours if its filled as soon as they get it after I normally take it. I have issues sleeping if I take it too late in the day. Now I will have to choose to not sleep or not take the medication until the next day making it 32 days after my last prescription.
I have used walgreens all over but I live in Tennessee. Crossville, TN Walgreens off elmore rd. Has given me nothing but problems. They never have my prescription on time and always say they are out. Most of the employees here discriminate against individuals prescribed narcotics.
I have no choice but to leave this horrible establishment and take my business elsewhere.
