While visiting a Village Inn in Fremont Nebraska, I observed the busboy cleaning tables and pushing the crumbs onto the floor. When I looked around I noticed every table had crumbs under the table or into the aisle. It made for an unhealthy dining experience. I approached the front desk where I spoke to two front end employees. I asked "if it was procedure to have the busboys push crumbs off the table and onto the floor." I, also, asked if there was a broom available to clean up the mess accumulating in the restaurant. They commented, "the crumbs would be swept up at closing time. So the establishment didn't clean up the area until closing time! Is this the procedure for all Village Inn's? Maybe I better rethink my stopping by any Village Inn. If I had my phone available, I would have snapped pictures and commented on the web.
Desired outcome: Don't push crumbs from table to floor. Are all Village Inn's dirty? Use a broom to clean up the mess. I wonder what the health department would report of the uncleanliness.
