I had a flight booking from Dubai to Toronto on Friday December 24th 2021 via Egypt air. This flight has been cancelled by Egypt air and since than I am perusing my payment return from your office but still i didn't received it. Below are the details of my travel.

I had called travelgenio on 27/12/2021 to cancel my flight tickets dated 25/02/2022

and I was told the refund( total mount paid £589.17) will be processed between 4-6 weeks.

After the wait of six weeks, when I tried reaching them on my refund I was told multiple things each time both on the telephone conversation followed by email. At first, I was told they’ll be penalty deduction on the refund, then I was told £112 per ticket will be refunded and when I went back to them asking about the explanation on the refund amount, I was told they cannot do any refund at the moment blaming on the airlines.

It’s been frustrating to fight for my refund.

Travelgenio folks have had been inconsistent so far.

My flight back from Bangkok to Delhi was posponed and I protested. I got an email that I can cancel the reservation and start the refund process. I would like to do that so I resonded to that mail.

However, I need to know if also my flight from Delhi to Bangkok would be affected by that cancellation. This flight is next week. I need to know ASAP if I have to book one or two new flights after the cancelation.

I told her I’m trying now from 11 Feb to change 3 names of my passengers.

I have made my booking at my home through Tripmonster.

I have phone them a few times. They said to me they are waiting for Air Mauritius to give them permission to change it.

The lady at tripmonster UK said that is it in progress and they cant do anything if Air Mauritius have not give them permission and it is in progress.

We are flying on the 17the March, I am worried sick and getting worried.

I know there is a fee payable to change the names. If you can just send me the account to where I must pay it in and it they please can change it.

I will also add the 3 passengers passports with.

Please help me because I really don’t now anynmore.

On March 15th 2020 I have purchased flights on Travelgenio (flying with British Airways) for £1248.08.

Soon after South Africa forbid entry for travelers arriving from the UK.

From that moment onward I have requested a refund to Travelgenio who told me a refund would not be possible as they had to follow British Airways rules and that they could only offer me a voucher.

Lacking of options, I was then coerced to accept a voucher that I could only receive if I paid an extra fee.

Therefore in November 25th 2020, I was sent a link and requested to pay an extra £53.56.

Today March 1st 2022, I receive an email stating that my voucher has expired after 2 years of pandemic and travel restrictions.

What does not make sense either is that on British Airways “all flights booked using a voucher must be completed by 30 September 2023”.

I have already sent you emails but since you are not respondig, I am filing a complaint here as well. After demanding a refund to customer service of Travelgenio in 2021, I assumed that the refund would have been made automatically since it is my right to get my money back with the service that I never got, and I do not have any duty to go through of any type of inconvenience.

However, I belatedly confirmed your email that it is required to submit a refund authorization and I was very frustrated about it. I just asked the China Southern Airlines and received a responsed that there are no such thing as a 'refund authorization', and they do not have any authority to approve my refund. Instead, they offered a mail of proving that the flight was cancelled. I made a reservation of 4 flight tickets and all of them were the same flight. I am sure that that the attached file sufficient to prove the flight was cancelled, and I should get all of the reservation a refund and get our money back. WHAT CAN BE MORE OBVIOUS REASON FOR A REFUND THAN A CANCELLED FLIGHT? Why do I even need others authorization?

I already sent you emails through years and all you replied was to get an authorization from the airlines, which by the way, they keep claiming they do not have any authority to do so. I am running out of my patience right now.

I would like to get a refund as soon as possible. I am attaching the photo of the information (our names and flight ticket number) so that you can process the annulment of payment.

Besides, I cannot even reach customer service through phone calls because my reservation number from confirmation letter is not valid? It's #2946944 and I want you to fix it so that I can reach you through the phone.

Additionally, I insist your excuse of not being about to give a refund since 'the flight ticket has expired' would be effective. The flight did not even take place, and I am the one who went through all the inconvenience. I am filing complaints and sending emails everyday until I get a satisfactory reply.

I booked my trip from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Edinburgh Scotland on February 6, 2022. I used the site “Kayak” which I have often used in the past but for some reason I ended up working with Travelgenio, a site I have never dealt with before. During the booking process I was advised that if I wished to check luggage I should sign up for Personal Service, which I did paying an extra fee. When my eticket arrived, if it is a real eticket, it showed 0 checked baggage so I went to “My Trips” in order to add a checked bag. Through many attempts I was directed to a page that said the “Page is Travelling”. On several other occasions I found myself in a loop where I would reach a page that told me I had been sent an email with full instructions but the email simply directed me to click on a link that took me back to the prior page. FINALLY, I reached a Customer Service page that was not travelling, and I filled out a form telling them that I needed to arrange for checked baggage. That was on February 21st. To this day I have had no response, not even an acknowledgement of my communication. I have also checked out Travelgenio and I am concerned that it may not be reputable. I found a telephone number for Travelgenio and called, I was told that I had a 49 second wait but 5 minutes later nothing. I do not wish to arrive at the airport to find that there is no flight, that my eticket is not valid, or that I cannot check a bag. Therefore I want a refund. So far Travelgenio has been utterly unresponsive.

I bought onewayticket BKK-Phnomh Penh with Cambodian Airline .The airline has cancel the flight and give information that Travellgenio wil give full refund.

I have purchased a ticket for a flight that has been canceled and I was issued only a partial refund. When contacting the customer service they only responded when I asked for a refund, but not when I questioned why the refund was not correct. I originally paid 208.54GBP and was refunded 183.3GBP. We booked a ticket to Bangkok from Sri Lanka. But thai smile flights are cancelled in Sri Lanka. So tried to reach them by phone and emails. Phone line is not working. website requests page is not working. Done know how to solve this problem. Very bad service. I don’t recommend this company for anyone.

I booked a flight from US to Sweden four months before departure. Two months later I received an email from Travelgenio in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish. A week before my flight leaves I find out that the airline changed my departure to one day earlier and canceled the last flight on my return trip, leaving me stranded in Newark instead of my final destination in Seattle.

I spent almost two hours on phone with customer support only to be forced to pay a $250 (€220) fee to add the last flight home to my itinerary. A flight that I had already paid for once.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR TRIP WITH TRAVELGENIO!

I received no notification of any kind that the flight TU792 on 9/5/22 was either cancelled or never existed. I received an email at the time of booking showing the flights as confirmed, but it turns out there was never a TU792 service scheduled for Mondays, let alone 9/5/22.

If I never called up I would never had known.

The lady at the customer service call centre was not only rude and unhelpful, but misled me as to being able to find a contact link on the Travelgenio website. When I said no such link or email can be found on the website she hung up on me.

I require a refund for the booking. A flight on the next day is useless to me.

I have booked flight for my friend on 26-02-2022 from Dubai to Seoul in travelgenio website. I paid $816.95 for the ticket. The amount has been deducted from my card. But when I checked in Qatar airlines webpage, the given ticket number does not exist. I want to get the money back so I searched internet and found an email ID which they have given in their page but the mail was not delivered. The mail ID they mentioned is [protected]@travelgenio.us. After these I found through the internet the agency itself a fraud company. Lots of peoples were doomed by them. The booking reference they provided is [protected].

I booked a flight through Kayak and Travelgenio on February 11, 2022. At that time, I was charged $100 for a roundtrip check-ed bag. When I was able to check-in to my flight, the host airline (Avelo) website is charging $35 per bag, so I am being charge almost 60% more for my baggage through Travelgenio than through the host website. The luggage fee on the website was not a special offer or discount. On top of that, I do not see the originial luggage purchase ($100 roundtrip luggage) on my reservation. Upon calling Travelgenio they said they cannot help me to refund the $100 luggage charge, nor can they help me ensure that my pre-paid luggage is on my reservation. They instead suggest that I work directly with the host airline to resolve.

I'm hereby requesting the refund of a ticket bought through you for a flight with Qatar airways almost two years ago. Booking number is J2ESFX.

Qatar has approved the refund request, yet they're asking for you to step in and take action since you are the travel agent through which the purchase took place. So if you guys have any doubt, go and ask Qatar yourselves, please.

on that day I was unable to travel, coz they change the flight and travelgenio need to be reshudeled the ticket...coz of not. rescheduling I was unable to travel even my return ticket canceled...

On 23.03.2021 we arrived at Heathrow airport as we were emigrating to Perth, Australia, we had everything in place, all the correct paperwork, as we are Australia citizens we had the right to leave the UK and the right to enter Australia, Current PCR tests, we were then told during check in that we were unable to fly as Jakarta was in total lockdown due to Covid, apparently Travelgenio knew about this? so we were stuck at Heathrow, no home, no car, nothing! we called Travelgenio so many times and they said No flight! and hung up!, we then had to hire a car back to Somerset and stay with a family members and rebook flights for 2 weeks later, it was extremely stressful, the new flights cost us almost twice as much as the original ones, almost a year on and still waiting for any communication or refund, have called the help line number and nothing can be done until the airline Emirates have confirmed that they cancelled the flight? We understand that Covid has affected the World, but seriously one year and still no refund, surely this cannot be right? I really hope this can be resolved soon, First complaint i have ever made,

On the 6th November 2021 I booked a flight through Travelgenio to fly from Port Elizabeth to Durban (South Africa) The money was debited from my credited and I received an email to say the booking was confirmed but never received an actual e-ticket. I recently logged onto MyTrips on the Travelgenio website only to see that my flight has been cancelled. I then contacted the airline directly to find out if we were actually booked on the flight to be told we weren't as they never received the funds from Travelgenio. I cannot contact Travelgenio by phone or email. There are no email addresses provided and the numbers that I have come across there is no answer. My money has been taken and no flight has been booked. DISGUSTING! I would like my money back!
