I have purchased this mobile under scheme of two year out going free to any tata to tata mobile, but my free outgoing facility has been bared with in 4 months of purchased and no body is giving me right answer why this scheme has been stopped to my mobile. I contacted customer care and dealer also but they are unable to make me satisfy. Definitely tata is not a cheater but his company is a cheater who can make us fool... But not for a long time it will go out of range with in some years... Cheater can not live for a long time in market...

    Yes this ### are chor ! Govt. must bring some strict rules against this company's and should take quick action against such harassment.

    This is about a new Tata Indicom (Switch to this crap, and feel the difference!!) USB internet connection that they have selling on all platforms these days. Believe me, this is the worst product experience that I have had in the past few years. These guys are chor. The guy who had called up about a scheme was not traceable after he promised that the connection would be up and running in 3 days. He would just not pick up the phone. Fortunately I could contact the dealer and had to virtually fight with them to get them deliver and connect that. Then an engineer (Arif) comes over to my place and was simply unable to connect that for two hours (!!!). This guy had no knowledge about the product or the company or the scheme or anything for that matter. I was surprised about this, He gave me his number so that I could call him in case of any problem. I connected to the net after a few days as I also have a Airtel landline. Touchwood thats working fine, but has to be temporarily disconnected bcos of some interiors that I am getting done. The connection was so slow that I could not even open normal pages of 40-45 kbs. Not even google!! I tried to test the speed, and i got something like 9kbps. I tried calling up the helpline. This was the most frustrating experience that I have had. I would not get connected, or the dialed phone number for verification was told wrong four times and then they disconnected me two times. I called up Arif and he gave me another guy Yogesh Pawar's number. I called him thrice, All I got was three diff ring tones. I called back Arif and he told me that he would be there in 20 mins as he was in the Mahakali area only. When he didn't turn up for two hours, I started calling up. He hasn't picked up the phone for the last two days or 50 calls, Neither has Yogesh Pawar. I finally got to speak to the helpline yesterday and they took me through some setting changes. I did that, but still the connection was slow. then he asked me to do some ping tests, which he said was showing that speed was ok. He advised me to have my machine checked. When I told him that the machine is fine bcos my Airtel is working fine, he insisted that there was nothing wrong with Tata Indicom. Despite insisting that someone should come and have a look, he said they cant do that. When I decided to lodge a complaint, they said that they cannot take a complaint for this. Believe me, they DID NOT even take the complaint.!!

    I am planning on my future course of action- approaching TRAI and the consumer courts,after I follow this up with Tata Indicom again. Very shortly I will update you guys about this.

    One final advice: This Tata thing sucks, its crap, Its ###... Don't, don't ever even think of buying anything from them. And screw Kajol for taking up the ambassadorship for such craps.

    Hi Guys! I was in Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India, for 3 months recently. 'Unfortunately', I purchased a mobile phone and a USB internet modem (both with connections) from TATA INDICOM. The service, probably, is worse that any telecom company can ever give you. A bigger shock is when you get monthly bills much beyond your imagination. Over and above that, when you approach their customer 'care', the response is much worse than that would expect from typical sarkari baboos that we encounter in our government offices. Finally, I wanted to get out...but, they delayed the disconnection process to such an extent that I had to pay them the rent for many extra days that I did not even use the connection.

    If you are not particular that you will learn only from your own personal mistake (I was particular!), be cautious of Tata Indicom folks. They can trap you, your friends, or relatives. Just pass on this message if you feel it worthy. Sorry if I am spamming you.

    Last 1 1 /2 yrs, I am facing problems, instrument.
    I had visited customer care centre regarding problem.
    They had informed me, that since there is problem in instrument. they are going to make an replaced.
    continously last 4 month, after every 15 days, in my insturment, i am not receiving power supply.
    when i made complaint they, just go on changing cord and battery.
    after week, i am facing the same problem.
    I had requested to make an replacement of instrument, but they are not interested to make an replacement.
    my wireless line is dead.
    i had also informed to customer care to cancelled my connection, and make an adjustment of outstanding,
    still not receiving any response.

    I am completely fed up with this.

    requested to cancelled my connection, and collect the instrument from residence.

    PL. TREATE THIS AS MOST URGENT.

    I paid my bill on 7th Feb. 08 through easy bill who are authorized agent of tata Indicom but till date i.e 15th Jan. my outgoing has been Restricted.I ve this problem of not making outgoing calls since 4th of Feb.
    Kindly look forward to my complaint as I hav been cheated by the company

    2 months before I bought a USB Modem from Tata Indicom. I opted for 1GB connection. Even though I only used 647MB last month, the bill was for 1372MB (1.3GB).

    When I asked the customer service, they said the Tata Indicom server has a different MB counting mechanism! I am just wondering what the hell on earth the Tata Indicom server can count 1MB as 2MB!!!

    Beware, these people are definite cheaters. Why cant they be truthful? Instead of counting 1MB as 2MB, let them increase the price and be truthful to the society. Then make a healthy competition...

    I am a hardcore fan of Ratan Tata sir. Definitely tata is not a cheater but his company is a cheater who can make us fool... But not for a long time it will go out of range with in some years... Cheater can not live for a long time in market...

    I am Toatally upset from Free Customer Care service. It Took too much time too connect from Customer Care Executives.Sometimes it takes 25-30 min to connect the call.So please took some action so that customer can solve their problem by calling to your executives.

    Having a postpaid connection of TataIndicom means u have been trapped, its a kind of blood sucking parasite. Just leave it and have any other mobile connection b/c its a kind of monkey mobile service. They make fraud bills and customers are their hunt.

    I am Tata's broadband service. My advice is dont use Tata indicom broadband service. They will say that Tata's broadband is India's no.1 service. But it is the worst service ever I have seen!

    Tata indicom provides a fourth class network service and the most pathetic and worst Customer Care service, Indicom people think that only illiterate people the authority to purchase Tata mobiles. They dont complete English IVR system!!! Such a Poor Service!!

    Tata Indicom Mobile Connection no. SIM could not be purchased - phone connection no [protected]
    Haier handset D-1000 Faulty. Shuts down automatically after being fully charged. Haier Service center at Rohtak road could not repair it.

    HI,

    I'm facing a similar issue currently. Its a long story. I took a tata indicom connection of the Surf Power 7500 plan worth Rs 3031/-. A representative came to my house and collected a cheque worth the same price from me and gave me a receipt. I'm providing the details here (Receipt No - 1155348, Cheque No - 535059, Date - 24/05/2007). After a couple of days, two men came and set the internet connection by providing us a modem and a wire. Since next morning, the connection was cut. I repeatedly called customer care and these are the different replies I got till date (of course I still did not get my connection):

    1. First they said my cheque had bounced, and my account has been thus suspended.

    I contacted ICICI bank for a bank statement. From the statement it was clear that a sum of Rs 3031/- had been credited from my account vide cheque 535059 on the name of VSNL on 6/6/2007.

    I informed this to customer care and waited. They did not call me back.

    Being fed up, I called again and again without any result. They simply deny to receive any money and ask me to pay again to get my account activated. The blatant liars!!!

    Then one day a lady from the customer care told me a new story:

    2. She told me that I had paid Rs 3031/- while the actual cost for that plan had gone up by 3 rupees!!! It was now Rs 3034/-. This was because the service taxes had gone up from 12.27% to 12.35%. My account had been suspended because I paid 3 rupees less!!!

    I called up again and again, they continue to tell lies after lies and ask me to come to their Whitefield office with all the proofs. They know I do not have the time to trudge down that far.

    PLEASE NEVER TAKE TATA INDICOM CONNECTION. THEY ARE THIEVES, DACOITS, CHEATERS, THUGS ETC ETC... THIS IS MY ADVICE TO ALL THE READERS.

    I had opted for Tata Indicom Post Paid Connection from Gujrat. I had filled my form for a plan of Talk India 299 as my STD usage are very High, they had wrongly activated a plan of 099 due to which I am getting a very large bills... After complaining on customer care and writing several emails, I had till now not got any positive feedbacks.

    Due to which i am now thinking of Postpaid Connections only...

    I am a customer of Tata indicom for the last 3 months. I have a wireless internet connection from them. They claim on web and in all their advertisements that the browsing speed users would get is 150KBPS. Surprise surprise... the browsing speed i enjoy is remarkable 4-5 KBPS... and at times no data transfer whatsoever...

    I call up the customer care just to receive a new complaint no. each time... N then their tech guys call up to tell me that the speed i get is the best i can... and that the speed they claim (i.e 150 KBPS) is just the connecting speed)... there is more to it... the sales person who sold it to me... still claims that i should get 100 + speed... so does the customer care... all in all a complete mess of a service provider...

    Now I am stuck out here... having paid 4000 Rs for the wireless data modem and virtually no internet connection... Buggers!!!

    DON'T EVER GO FOR TATA INDICOM... THEY ARE BUNCH OF BULL ### PEOPLE OUT HERE TO DECEIVE EVERYONE AND STEAL THEIR MONEY.

    I am using a tata indicom walky for last 2 years on pre paid connection. My cdma fixed wireless hand set model # lsp - 350t. my walky telephone # [protected].

    I can't charge the battery since last one week. I thought my adopter is out of order so i tried to charge with another adopter of the same model but without any result.

    I approached my local tata indicom walky service center as well as lg service center but they couldn't solve my problem. I am eager replace my old hand set & get a new latest hand set if possible.

    We own a shop in Kerala (Kothachira, near Kunnamkulam) and took a Tata Indicom coin booth from a local Indicom agent, Suresh ( Mobile# [protected] and office#[protected]), Nishad ([protected]).

    We spent around 6000 rupees for this connection and we could use this connection hardly for 6 months. One fine day morning Tata Indicom People came and they took off the connection and equipments.

    The reason they told is the connection is not in our name, the agency people filled up all forms on behalf of us and collected the money also from us and issued the connection on some one else name.

    To report this complaint when I called up Tata Indicom services at the local number (Kunnamkulam) they had directed to another number [protected]. When I called up this number this customer support representative gave me another number 6551281. I could not dial this number this was giving me a message "Number Does not Exist". Then I called up the customer support number (mentioned earlier) they gave another number [protected]
    This number is ringing and giving all our support representatives are busy - I waited for 16 minutes and disconnected the call in my first attempt.

    I made one more attempt to reach the above number and waited for 10 minutes and disconnected.

    With this experience I rate TATA indicom as Worst services and they do not have any control over their dealers / agents.

    My name is B kriishna Chaitanyaa, working in DELL International Services. I have taken two tel no 040-[protected] & 040-[protected], Walky phone from Tata tele services in August 2006.

    Recently I have a problem with one of my phone which is040-[protected], which is not working properly. As I have made repeated calls to Customer care since last 5 days, finally they came to my place on 21st June 2007 (Thursday) to replace the handset model no LG LSP 350 T, which they have done without my presence I:e A DAMAGED handset, model no LG LSP-340 E on this there is no Display Light. Charger is not working properly,Keypad is not working properly, As I am working for UK Based company I work on Night Shifts. So everyday I'll reach my place around 3:00AM to 3:30AM early morning.

    On 21st June 2007 When I reached my Home i saw my new handset which is replace d by LG LSP 340E,which is in Damaged condition, immediately i called 121 & Call was waited for more than 129 min. In spite of this i have called on Friday, Saturday & Sunday to give the complaint they informed me that due to rain Thursday,they couldn't send the Technician, they promised me on Saturday But same thing happen,& on Sunday its closed. I have spoken to one of Manger Ms.AVIS, she told me it will be rectified by Saturday, nothing done so far.Toady morning some one came to my place & checked the handset & claimed that its been done from MY END. Which is not my responsible.

    Just to add... the rep said the connection will work with all mobiles... I'm still trying to find the difference between T-SIM and normal SIM offered by other companies like HUTCH, AIRTEL etc.

    But I am suspecting the rep lied to me saying the T-SIM will work in any mobile... f*cking a*shole.

    When I first approached the TataIndicom, Secundrabad Hub, I noticed there was a customer shouting at the Sr. Rep(I think this rep pretended that she is a Manager... ###!! As if people are fool that they don't understand these cheap tricks)... The TataIndicom CS Rep was rude with the customer and customer in return was using abusing language. I can recall the rep saying "if one customer goes 1000 will come"... and they don't give dam to him.

    I was purchasing the connection at the same time and was taken aback for a moment listen to this whole drama. I asked the rep if the sim card I am purchasing will work with the all mobiles... I took the connection paying Rs 600 and its already 4 days and my mobile connection is still not active, even after making numerous calls to the place I purchased the connection.

    I regret why I have kept my money in this ### connection, and expected a minimum courtesy with these bunch of idiots in TataIndicom, Secundrabad. (Behind Hari Hara Kala Bhavan)...

    I advise not to expect any thing positive from this sick company... if your existing connection is working and you have no problems you are just lucky. The day your bill/connection will have issues... you are going to cry for taking TataIndicom.

    At the time of installation of Tata Indicom Set Model - LG 10, we were told of providing all type of facilities. We are having total 4 nos. of above sets and we were getting all the times the said sets recharged by voucher amounting to Rs. 220/- and Rs. 336.15. Now, the dealer (M/s. Sri Ram Sales, Bank More, Dhanbad) & agent available in Dhanbad is telling that low value vouchers are not available and only amount of Rs. 560/- and above are available, which does not suit to our requirement. But at the time of installation, we were given assurance of providing low value vouchers all the times as & when required by us.

    TATA guys cheated me. TATA CCE and TATA area manager gave me wrong information about the plan i am using.They had committed that after taking your phone i will be able to change the plan to any one of my liking but now your CC says that plan cannot be changed before 2 years. Please take your phone back and refund my money, otherwise i will take you guys to the Consumer Court, will write a mail to TRAI and other news agencies about this fraud. I am owner of a large message board with 50000 people on internet and have specifically requested them not to take TATA indicom (Fraud company). Also i have written a mail to my office mates that they should never take TATA indicom as you guys are cheaters. Number of your area manager is [protected], his name is Anil.

    We have TATA INDICOM walky cordless phone for our Andheri office. It has not been working. The problem there is no power supply. The recharge does not take place. If you check the website for the cure, website does not have right customer care number. Tata states they have the best customer care in business, how is that their numbers on website do not work. In case of failure to charge the set, who is helping customer.

    Sub: Wrong bill

    My bill amount for month March is 2349/- which is due on 28th of April, 2006. Actually My bill is wrong. I have raised the complaint 3 times as well as visited the Tata Indicom True Value office with this issue.

    Issue: I have been charged 1 rupee for 1 minute for tata to tata std calls however in my plan(299 Indian one) the call rates for tata to tata std are 1 rupee for 3 minutes.

    The numbers for the complaints I raised are:

    On 14th April: [protected]

    This complaint was closed stating that the bill is correct and we have spoken to customer whereas I was never spoken for this and was even not informed that the complaints has been clsoed. I came to know about its closing when I again called again on 17th April.

    On 17th April: [protected]

    Again this complaint was closed stating that this is the duplicate request but again I was not informed about closing the request.

    On 19th April: [protected]

    This is 3rd time when I raised the complaint and was assured that within 48 hrs the issued will be resolved but even after 72 hrs it was open.

    Everytime the customer care has agreed that the bill is wrong but I never got the solution to this.

    Now I am getting calls and messages that my credit limit is crossing and this is because of wrong bill not due due to my usage. Now you will debarr my services because of your fault not mine.

    I am fed up. I can't call 121 again and again.

    How tata can cheat customers, they have withdrawn their free incoming while roaming so smartly and cheated there existing customers who bought two numbers at a time and latter on they was just left with 750 mins free incoming and heavy bills to be paid at last. No one can trust tata indicom and reliance to what it say and is really dedicated towards the offers they give. Please check 1000 times before going for tata indicom.

    Even i had the same experience. How come will they with drawn the facility which is promised to be life time.

    They are just using TRAI name to cover their mistake. Can't we do anything in this matter? Atleast it will be good if get the deposit and the handset amount back.

    I booked two mobile and i haven't received in 20 days but commitment was made for 5-6 days. I call customer care [protected]. I register the complaint i speak lots of people. There executive become there own supervisor and tl and even manager. I call for 5days every time commit to receive my mobile with in 24 hours and also call back. I haven't received any call back not mobile and every time i call there is new supervisor and when tell him that i had world with tl by the name this he say there is no tl of this name and no manager of this name. Customer satisfaction if just nothing. They just make the people fool there is no management in customer care executive are there own boss and they what they like.

    I really unsatisfied with the customer care of tata.

    Let me begin by saying that Tata Indicom is the biggest cheat and fraudster company I have ever come across in the Consumer market. I bought a Tata Indicom Walky last year and just after 3 months of getting the connection, these people started sending inflated bills. Upon complaining, I was promised that the amount would be adjusted in my future bills, but that never happened. To add to it, they disconnected my outgoing saying that I need to pay the inflated bills. Their customer service... as bad as it can get... infact its worst I have ever seen. Anybody and everybody reading this post...please... I would request you not to go for Tata Indicom ever... IT SUCKS!

    Sub: Wrong data cable & charger not working

    I ordered a data cable from tataindicom website and made the payment. When I received the cable the software CD was damaged and the cable send to me was of some other model. I complained regarding that and got a reply that company would revert back to me in 15 Days. Its been a month now..... Then on 4th April I bought a new handset from TATA Hub at New Friends Colony. The charger of that Nokia phone was not working and the person in charge told me to take the charger to Nokia repair centre, and they cannot do anything about it. The next day is a Holiday in Delhi so I have to wait with a dead phone for next 2 days and wait what Nokia has to say about it. So I spend 700Rs. and bought a new charger. This is the service of TATA. Keep it up.

    Sub: A Public Nuisance - TATA'S THE GOONS

    This company in India "Tata Indicom" is famous for harassing the users of their phone service in general. The company with good reputation in Truck manufacture and Steel manufacture diversified into telephone service by acquiring 'Huges Telecom' in India for fixed line telephone. Their entry in this sector expanded to the huge population base in India with cheap cell phones at a price of US$45/= including a handset made a initial headway. I was one of the unfortunate subscriber of this company phone 2-3 years back due to some urgent need for business. All authentic documents were submitted to their dealer, the handset was sold to me only after address verification of my address and the number 91-[protected] was activated.

    Yesterday after many many years I received a text message (SMS) asking me to visit their dealer for address verification since their system is faulty and the address is mis-matching. This is absolutely ridiculous and absurd of a large company like TATA's in India to request for this confirmation. They are not equipped to handle a customer base and hence keeps wrong records of their subscribers.

    THIS COMPANY MUST IMPROVE THEMSELVES AND TAKE THE PERSONS RESPONSIBLE TO TASK, INSTEAD OF HARASSING THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN INDIA.

    I RECOMMEND NEVER BUY A TATA INDICOM TELEPHONE, A COMPANY RUN BY GOONS.

    I got tata postpaid few moths before with free unlimited incoming roaming with the extra charge of Rs. 150 per month, it was very attractive form me because most of time I travel for business. Now They inform me they are limiting the same for 750 minutes. Its total cheat of customer and mental harassment, if somebody can do some thing then taught the lesson to them.

    From Morning I had been trying from My Prepaid TATA INDICOM mobile...to call, all it says is 'This service is currently not available on your phone' I cannot receive calls from morning the same computer played message is played.

    I am asked to call121 to subscribe and I get a message saying that the person I called is busy... earlier,... later when i got through 121 I dial & follow the the computer message it says this is not a valid No...

    I cannot call, I cannot receive calls,... wish I could speak to Tata.

    Hi All,

    I have been under heavy depression since last month although i started as soon as i applied for tata indicom broadband.

    1) It is horrible that a internet and telephone company does not have toll free no in an era where Pan wala's have toll free no's

    2) God knows how r running this company, the company who is not bothered about its revenue (u can't recharge your account from web it is down since last two months) you can imagine how much it will care about it's customer after selling the product

    3) Due to that problem i requested for recharge coupon 6 march and after calling 20 times it's got delivered on 20th of march.

    4) Then after recharging it, it never worked when i called they started fooling me (like i am a layman ) that there is cable cut we r looking into it and we will give you a call. I checked that i am able to ping default gateway it means there is no cable fault from my end to server connectivity further i told them that i am not able to ping DNS server it mean there is problem on server side.

    5) I have called them three times daily they come up with same reply that problem will be fixed today only and you will get a call today itself.But nothing has happened.

    6) If that is sate of service why don't you shut down your shop and say we r not able to run the business

    7) why they have not provided e-mail of top exec if they r taking fat salary, they r more accountable and should be able to reachable by common customer

    8) Finally i guess out of u alteast must be loyal enough to TATA group will highlist this to the highest level And make people awake in this company...

    Please don't ever go for Tata Indicom broad band service. Its really pathetic. I am thinking of hanging my self for opting Tata Indicom. I am really depressed by calling Tata Indicom Customer service. All the time they say "The issue is in progress, we have taken it as top priority one. " But you will not get the solution at all.

    In total 30 days of connection I used the connection only for 6 days. The rest all days went just calling customer service.

    They already took 6 month charges from me and now they are not at all providing service.

    I paid around 500/- as my telephone bill for calling cust care centre.

    Please help how do I handle these guys. Which is the good way to fight against Tata Indicom.

    Tata Indicom offered its customer a add-on pack called Free Incoming While Roaming, and within which all the roaming incoming charges were waived off for an additional fees.

    After around 1 year of pack offering they suddenly stopped offering the limited pack and made it a limited minutes free, for new customers, per TRAI's directive.

    But to surprise they now started sending letters to existing Indicom mobile users, stating the offer to be of limited minutes from the unlimited incoming minutes, and that too a mere number of 750 minutes for the same pack charge of Rs. 150 (not sure if every one was offered the same).

    The reason is mentioned as TRAI's directive. The question here is why did they at the very first place offered the pack without confirming the policies and protocol. Secondly, did TRAI asked them to roll-back the pack from existing users or is it the Tata tele-services using this opportunity.

    If its TRAI, then they fail on there statement of 'working towards consumers interest', since roll back of a pack offered and subscribed means breached commitment of a service provider to its customer. And if it’s just the TATA tele-services, then it users should get together and raise a voice against this inappropriate step, and that too by an arm of the most reputed organization of the country.

    Its time to be together and protest, else many other companies will continue to follow and exploit customers and to use them up to there need.

    I have written letters to various consumers forum and I would appreciate every one to raise a voice against this.
