Takealot MRRN-7MP8J-ZQEM, Siemens 90cm gas hob, malfunction-return-no communication-no progress

My return MRRN-7MP8J-ZQEM, was lodged on 15 July. This is now the 21st of July with no update on the tracking (but the 15th), no progress. and no communication/feedback on 2 emails, horrible I was always promoting TakeAlot for their no-nonsense returns/replacement, but this experience is the first with , absolute disgrace what service levels have degraded to.

I will not buy appliances from TakeAlot anymore. Buy local, pay a bit more, but alt least no hassles in replacement, and communication will be easier.

How do I post this review/comment on Google Review?

Desired outcome: Still replacement, if no reply by end of today Friday 21st of July, full refund please?

Takealot takealot courier failed to deliver

I paid and placed an order 14th July 2023, immediately i was notified order will be delivered 17th July 2023 on 17th July 2023 takealot smsed they will deliver on 18th July by 19h00 my daughters birthday gifts were the majority of the order she celebrated her birthday today with no message from takealot and all her gifts were not delivered, order tracking still shows 17th July 2023

i am taking this to every social media platform thereafter i want a refund and i will never use takealot or refer anyone to them they spoilt my daughters birthday

Desired outcome: a full refund as i no longer need the items the birthday is over i no longer need your services

Takealot 4plate gas stove with cylinder

We bought a four plate gas stove with 9kg gas cylinder.

The plate as instructed on the Manuel is suppose to be a self igniter. We filled the gas tank connected all accessories. Just to find out it does not ignite by itself .we contacted takealot almost 3weeks ago they collected the stove after a week they said they needed all the accessories plus the gas tank.we complied, it was collected and they sent email saying they cannot accept a full gas tank.

We called numerous times where we just told they waiting on warehouse manager to approve etc etc.almost 3weeks later they sitting with our money and we still did not receive the correct product..

I use my airtime to call and all they say they will escalate it.

I'm now sick and tired of it not being resolved.

Get your house in order takealot.

You people are wasting time and not getting things sorted or do you sell defect products as a norm.

Takealot Service failure

I've ordered two Items since on 25 of June 2023 and I was charged for delivery. The delivery was scheduled for 4th of July 2023 however my status says delivery rescheduled why? It was lost how? I need those items urgently please assist and take this matter seriously. I know you have alot of clients to attend to but please guys I need those item before the 10th of July.

Takealot I'm complaining about takealot service

On the 9th of June I ordered 4 Items and one was canceled, they returned my money for the canceled order . But they delivered 2 Items instead of three items and they never returned my money for the item.

The item that was never delivered is two pillows.

On the first of July I place an order of two boots, when I track my parcel it says one Item has been shipped .

Now I'm starting to worried that same thing might happen again.

Please if you fail to return my money , just deliver mi orders . Please.

Takealot Missing component / call not answered - disappointed

I purchased a 12v jump-starting kit and some of the components were missing and I logged a return. I then needed to change the collection address as my Husband was away on a business trip , followed all the instructions but they still went to the same place I wanted to change. its been more than days trying to call but there is no answer and I cant even log the return again.

Desired outcome: collect the parcel at the new given address and give me the correct product with all items in it.

Takealot Pathetic Service department

I placed my order and paid on Monday

My delivery was scheduled for today the 29 June 2023, I sent an email to takealot and received a response promising my delivery will be today from a guy named Carl

I called [protected] only to be cut off my their poorly mannered customer service representatives 3 times

I called again a 4th time and same thing, very unprofessional customer service agents, they just hang up on you

I took a day off to ensure I am here to receive my delivery

Now they tell me there is a delay

I am the customer, customers keep the business running not staff, customers pay the staff salary, pathetic Service will ensure I do not use takealot as a provider anymore

I also requested the sound file of my conversations, by law I'm entitled to these copies

I have the email promising delivery today

And the tracker showing delivery today

Now I have evidence in my favor to escalate this to the NCC and NCT

We as consumers are protected by law by the CPA

I ordered an item that only after 6 days , I am informed that it is no longer available. yet, takealot still advertise it at a discounted price. I requested a refund and was told I have to wait 3 - 5 business days for my money. If i want to buy from them, I need to pay immediately, this should work both ways. takealot should refund immediately especially if they cannot supply the item ordered and paid for. I waited almost a week, I have paid and bank charges applied, only to find out that I must re-do the surge for the item. very dissapointed and although I bought a lot from them lately, I will not use their services again

Desired outcome: Immediate refund as they wasted my time thinking that I do not need to look further for the item and i have bough a chair from elsewhere to fit in with this item, now I must start all over

Takealot charged me more than advertised price

On the 13/6/2023 I made a order at takealot among the things I bought was 4pcs 100 led solar wall light set advertised for 237 I completed my order without paying much attention because I thought I could trust them by now. When I received my confirmation email from them I noticed I was charged 278 for those solar lights I then went back to their site to make sure of the price and the item was still being advertised for 237 as you will see with the photo I will provide I contacted them right away and just now after more than a week they told me they can do nothing its a third party business and they can charged what they like for their products. My point is here is it was advertised for 237 when I put it in my cart but was billed 278 when I completed my order witch was in minutes so how can a price change just in seconds or without warning you about it before you pay anyway its a lie in the first place because that item was still been advertised for 237 for the rest of the day after I bought it (it did change the following day to a cheaper price I bought it for) I only have tow photo's for proof one I took of my confirmation order I received and one I took of the product on their site right after I received my email showing that it was still been advertised for 237 not 278 hope it will be enough

Desired outcome: i just want the difference of the prices to be refunded to me think its fair enough for us all

Takealot Delivery

On the morning if 21/6/23 i had a Takealot item delivered/dumped in the parking lot. The delivery woman was extremely rude & loudly shouted outside my flat in view of neighbors because my husband had apparently used the wrong address. Instead of contacting him, i was shouted out with " I don't deliver to wrong addresses" Your man gave the wrong address" She screamed, ranted & raved & left the item on the ground, shouting for me to collect it which I eventually did.

Takealot FlashFish portable rechargeable battery power station

TAKEALOT Order #[protected]

DELIVERED 13 JULY 2022.

This article has issues with the cooling fan permanently on and it looses its power very quickly.

On Takealot website it cannot be returned but on the product warranty card it clearly says one year warranty (delivery was on the 13/07/2022).

We want Takealot to replace the article or refund us of R 2569.

Takealot Xiaomi robot mop

I purchased 3 of these units from Takealot in Nov 2020 and 2 in March 2021. Since purchasing these I have battled to find the correct replacement parts for their consumables and the latest problem has been sourcing a replacement battery for one of these units. I have now battled for 4 months to get a response and all to no avail. Takealot has freffered me to an agent who is unable to help and I am now faced with throwing these units away as I can find no reliable supplier of replacement parts for these. I would like takealot to take responsibility for sourcing reliable back up services for the units sold by them and I would like them to attend to my request for sourcing consumables for these units including batteries. This practice is both unsustainable and a waste of resources when these units function perfectly but are unable to be used due unavailability of spare parts. In compensation for all my troubles

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and I would like them to either resolve this matter with the manufacturer and supplier or take ALL products supplied by this company off their website.

I ordered over R1000 of goods, mainly bedding on the 25th of may 2023, it was supposed to arrive on the 5th of June 2023 but stock didn't arrive so thats understandable. My mother (at who's work it was supposed to be delivered to) went on leave on the 6th of june 2023 and she's not back at the offices yet ao she can not reserve the parsel. I can not change the delivery address on my side and i also can not get hold of the takealot helpline [protected], i tried phoning them multiple times but it's useless because there is no response btw so you'll need to work on that.

Takealot Return but not refunded

We ordered an Incubator which was faulty. Returned it on the order. Was send another one. Miss communication, didn't want one again. Return it again on the order. At that time got problems with my brand new phone, couldn't get emails set up. Phone still in for repairs. Bought an Heating Brooding Plate in the meantime aswell. Also faulty, doesn't heat up. Still waited on Takealot to collect the Incubator. Takealot came to our resident 3 times... with wrong info about product to collect. By the time I've been so irritated, been wasting so much of my time waiting every day for wrong return... from 2nd May till 18th May. Returned the Heating Brooding Plate aswell on order. Eventually Takealot pitch on the 18th May @ 13h11 to collect both Incubator and Heating Brooding Plate. Got refunded for Incubator, but still waiting on refund for Heating Brooding Plate. I'm very disappointed and run out of patience by now. Can I please get refunded my R700 asap. Thanks C.Coetzee [protected]

Takealot Delivery

I paid for and placed an order for 3 items and was promised next day delivery.

2 items were collected and the 3rd was MIA. Got notification the next day it was ready for collection went there and again MIA. They phoned the helpdesk and having an argument that it was there but was not. The 3rd day it is still MIA but will be ready for collection somewhere in SA but they are not sure what depot. This is the efficiency of Takealot. Still no sign of refund as requested so I can buy it from a more reliable supplier. They have my funds I have no product and they have the attitude you will get it when it arrives.

Takealot Received 2 left shoes.

placed my order on the 19th of May 2023, received my order on the 26 May 2023. When I open the boxes, I found 2 (TWO) left shoes.

29 May I have logged for return collection, and it was scheduled for 30 May.

since then, I just receive messages stating that my return has been delay it will be rescheduled. Called customer care on Monday 5 June, the consultant logged another collection for me, but still they did not come to collect.

please assist as this matter is frustrating.

Desired outcome: I would like to get a prompt service and get my shoes exchanged before the 30 days return period.

Takealot Seller portal

Hi I am utterly disgusted by Takealot. I am a seller on their portal as well as a client. I sent an inverter to a client in January. Had it returned for an utterly bogus reason. Then Takealot proceeded to loose the inverter. Now 5 months later and still I have not been refunded for this and they still haven’t located the item. I also had an exception on hard drives that were delivered to them. First off they said all 4 didn’t have labels on after a huge fight they came back and said 3 had stickers on which is utter nonsense. This was in march. I sent a courier to collect the hard drive only to be told they didn’t have it. This was in march it is now June and still no hard drive. We print there labels for on their system but we get bogus exceptions. When we complain about it or ask for proof we are ignored. No one ever sorts a complaint out they give u the run around. The cherry on the cake and a a network card that was ordered. Its dues date was on the 6 June it was delivered on the 6 June as per the instructions. However on the 6 June Takealot changed the order number of the item that they had in stock with them. Now 2 days later this item is lost apparently. How can you loose and item in 2 days? Why was the order number changed? And they don’t care they just blame the seller. We deal with gross incompetence and I’ll trained staff and we literally have to pay the price of this. They don’t take accountability for anything and they cost us thousands of rands.

Desired outcome: Payout for all lost stock. And hopefully train staff better also since if it weren’t for the sellers takealot I I’ll not be around so better client service

Takealot Bad service and client disrespect by employee

Dear Takealot Customer Service,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred at the Takealot Collection Center in Durban, specifically involving an employee named Phumulani Hadebe. I believe it is essential to bring this matter to your attention to ensure that appropriate action is taken and to prevent any similar incidents from happening in the future.

During my recent visit to the collection center on 02 June 2023, I encountered an unfortunate confrontation with Mr. Hadebe. I pressed the bell more than once because there was no feedback or response initially, and I needed assistance. In response, Mr. Hadebe shouted at me in a disrespectful manner, using a condescending tone. He asked me if I could not read the sign indicating that I should not press the bell more than once.

When I inquired about his behaviour and why he was shouting at me, Mr. Hadebe mentioned that his manager, Reece, had also shouted at him regarding the bell not to let the clients press more than once. While I understand that there may have been previous incidents related to the bell, it is unacceptable for an employee to vent their frustrations on customers in such an unprofessional and disrespectful manner.

As a loyal customer of Takealot, I believe in maintaining a positive and respectful relationship between the company and its customers. The behavior displayed by Mr. Hadebe has left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer. It is disheartening to witness such behavior from an employee who represents the company's image and interacts directly with customers.

I kindly request that you investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate disciplinary action against Mr. Hadebe for his unprofessional conduct. Additionally, I urge you to provide additional training and guidance to all employees at the Durban collection center to ensure that incidents like this do not recur in the future. It is crucial that your employees understand the significance of providing excellent customer service and maintaining a respectful environment for all customers.

I hope you will address this matter promptly and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation. I value my relationship with Takealot and believe that resolving this issue will contribute to enhancing the overall customer experience at your collection center in Durban.
