Takealot Sending damaged goods

I ordered a Yoga mat from take alot. Came wrapped in mounds of clingwrap, 4th yoga mat I have purchased and never wrapped in 7 layers of cling wrap. Felt like it was rewrapped at take alot warehouse. When I opened it, I confirmed as the mat was damaged all over and had clearly been used before.

quick online search and many people have had that experience. I will never purchase from takealot again. 3 weeks now, 3 missed collections, 3 reschedules, 6 agents, 3 of which were rude. I am now submitting a complaint to the consumer ombudsman for South Africa.

Takealot Refund on items returned

Order number [protected]
Bought 2 x 300ml Dbl walled s/steel coffee mugs
One was ok, other one defective - log a return to takealot (did not collect the defect one)
They deliver the other one, even worse than the first defective one
Return complete order, all 3 mugs, they just credit my account for one and not two mugs
Follow up twice with phone calls, but with no luck

Takealot Cancelled order - highly disappointed

I am very disappointed at Takelot after so many years being a loyal customers, they have truly failed me. I had ordered an item #[protected] and only after one attempt to deliver my parcel was cancelled. This is after i received a call from 2 of their employees confirming availability for delivery for which i confirmed both times preferred date as this coming Friday the 3rd Dec. However to my surprise my parcel got cancelled and was given a lousy explanation of not responding to a certain email i was sent AFTER confirming twice verbally of preferred delivery time.

I am very angry and unhappy as this was a gift for my mother and the supplier is now out of the item which means i am unable to get it.

Pathetic service from Takealot

Same thing happened to me.

Cancelled the order telling me that the "supplier was out of stock"

I called the supplier and they DID HAVE stock.

The product is STILL on their website - just now at a higher price!

Am also very disappointed by the delivery guy who lied that he doesn't find my location while am close to where his staying😕the guy doesn't know how to speak to a customer, I think he don't know how to work this kind of a job cuz he was complaining about petrol so I don't know whether we should send him money for petrol before delivering our things. He didn't even tell me his name but I only have his number [protected]

I think they need to tell their staff how to work with their customers cuz now I don't know when am I going to receive my parcel
So worried now

Takealot Incorrect goods delivered

I ordered a Q2000 Cinema Projector from Takealot's website (https://www.takealot.com/q2000-multimedia-portable-projector-for-outdoor-movie-ultra-4k/PLID71934027) that was discounted from R3699 to R2140. I have used them in the past and never had problems with service delivery. When I received notification of delivery I collected the goods myself from the Takealot depot in Potchefstroom. I opened the packaging whilst still at the depot and noticed they had delivered the incorrect product so I went back in and reported the issue to the front desk clerk. He couldn't take back the product and asked I file a return on Takealot's website which is what I did. I didn't open the product which was wrapped in a clear plastic shrink. I filed a return request on Takealot and received notification from Takealot for more information. They needed photos of the product and bar code. The bar code was a sticker with product name attached to the product packaging underneath the shrink wrap. It had the correct description as the product I had ordered but did not match the art work on the packaging which showed a Panoramic Camera an item that is stocked by Takealot but sold for half the price of the item I had purchased. It is sufficiently clear Takealot was fully aware they had delivered the incorrect goods to the customer as the item ordered was a projector and they delivered a Camera. The barcode label information is incriminating. My order no was [protected] which was paid for in full with my Mastercard.

Desired outcome: Takealot takes back the incorrect goods delivered and deliver what was ordered

Fortunately the issue was resolved and I was fully credited by Takealot after they assessed the returned goods.

Takealot Refund on product not getting resolved

I ordered an iwatch 6 Nike addition from takealot as a birthday gift for my daughter [protected]). It arrived on 17 November 2021. The parcel was properly sealed. We wanted to wrap it for her birthday on 18 November 2021, for her birthday on 22 November 2021. When I opened the Takelot packaging, I found fatty fingerprints on the outside of the black iWatch box. I wiped it down with sanitiser due to the COVID risk. I noticed that the package the iWatch was supposed to be in, was opened. The folding locks were torn. When I opened the box, there was no iWatch inside the packaging. The straps were present and the packaging not damaged. I reported the problem immediately to the Takelot customer service telephonically. I raised a return request and they supplied me with a reference number (RRN-BZ9AD-BYWZ5) Takelot collected the box and content on Saturday 20/11/2021. The item was confirmed as being in Takelot's possession on 22/11/2021. The commitment was that the issue will be resolved within 2-3 days after receipt of the returned item was confirmed. I made several calls to the customer care number since 25/11/2021, with no luck. I managed to contact a Mr Munro. M from Takelot per e-mail and he committed to give me feedback. They apparently had to clear the issue with their credit department. Silence since then. Nobody is coming back to me and I'm getting really frustrated. There is a big issue with Takelot's customer service. You are not able to elevate any issue. No feedback at all. Really poor service. I make use of Takelot's services quite a lot, but I'll be sceptical on buying anything from them of higher value in future.

Takealot Bad service and zero follow through on commitments made!!!

Since last week Friday I have spoken to 5 different people at Takelot on [protected] - all calls were recorded - everyone made commitments to CALL ME BACK to confirm the status of my urgent delivery. NONE of them even bothered to call me or communicate with me!
Austin, Ravi, Minaja - are all useless when it comes to customer service and expectation from TAKE A LOT SA

Desired outcome: I need my deliver order [protected] delivered by NO later than 02/12/2021!!!

Takealot Returned item was missing accessories, did not receive replacement

I ordered a Turner & Morris carpet washer and recieved it on 26 October 2021, opened the box 2 November 2021, still in the 7 days return period. Chose option wrong product, courier picked up on 3 November 2021. Today is three weeks and I called several times, emails was send, photos submitted. I now the warehouse ask me to return the missing accessories, which was my original return reason, I do not have the accessories, I want my carpet washer with all my accessories that is suppose to be in the box. See below photo shows which accessories I recieved, and circled the booklet what is short.

Desired outcome: Return item with all accessories that should be in box, or credit my account to re- order

Takealot Unethical behaviour

I ordered the Double Eagle CADA Italian Super Car for R1699.00 on 13 November 2021 and I received a notification that the delivery will happen on 16 November 2021. It wasn't delivered on this day, so I went onto my app and saw that the item was returned. I phoned them immediately and they told me that at the time when I ordered it, there was no stock, but there is stock now I must re-order the item. I told him that I can't do that, because the item is now R2279.00, why can't they deliver it to me if mine wasn't delivered, not because of a fault on my side, but on their side. He told me he will come back to me, then I received an e-mail from him saying precisely what he told me over the phone, my order was cancelled due to stock availability. I've spoken to E. Shael. I feel strongly about this, because this item I ordered for a christmas present for my son, and I can't afford more. I hope you Takealot can resolve this, because I'm a regular customer, and I won't let this one slip.

Desired outcome: I want the item with the original price that I ordered it.

Takealot Cadac 4 burner commander gas braai

I contacted takealot and informed them that the manual was missing and therefore could not check if all necessary parts are in the box.

We received the manual pdf 2 days after we had already assembled it. At this point we saw 3 items were missing. The burner and the connection with the hose making it impossible to use. We informed takealot about this and asked that the missing parts be sent only to be told we need to send the whole item back and they would then replace the complete item.

Once it had been collected it took two days upon us then seeing that the refund had been declined. Since then I have contacted the help line again only getting a request to send the gas braai again to them with a new claim number. The takealot driver was here yesterday to collect the item that he had already collected one week ago. I had also informed them that the gas braai had already been collected. Since this I cannot get a clear answer to when I will get a replacement or my money back.

Takealot Bosch upright fridge

I ordered a replacement fridge form Takealot as a daily deal via an insurance voucher. In a nutshell, I received the fridge with dents on the door, a few days later a replacement unit was delivered, also with dents on the door.
Now suddenly Takealot has credit my account since they don't have any stock, not willing to give me the cash since I need to source the fridge elsewhere. They expect me to fork out the money to buy the fridge elsewhere because they could not deliver on their end of the agreement.

This company is not customer-centric and I'm not willing to spend one more cent doing business with them. They're not guided by good ethics.
I will not stop until I've gotten my money from them.

Takealot Unfair dismissal and bad treatment

I work at takealot paarl branch and have been treated very badly, had been accused of taking people's stuff, which is my own and the manager of the branch is very rude and don't know how to treat his staff and i been fired about my attitude without any writing warning this hass been going on sometime now and has not been solved and the manager swears me out every time i try to make a point or give a opinion

Takealot Nordic tv stand

I bought a combo, a nordic tv stand and coffee table. I only received the coffee table not the tv stand. I have sent countless messages and I am told that the supplier says he packed everything. I don't know what is the next step because I thought they could also check the stock against the sales to see if everything aligns, check the warehouse, or atleast talk with the driver but I am not being assisted at all. The four boxes contained chairs which were in good order, the big box contained the coffee table and is labeled coffee table, there was no tv stand box in.sight. I have been asked to send barcode, the big box surprisingly has no barcode and now I am being send from one post to the other

Takealot Delivery

Good day

I am highly disappointed in the service I have.

My order was supposed to be delivered today, I checked my app to track my order and to see where is it. I found that the person who was suppose to deliver the order claimed that I refused my order, but I haven't received a call or anybody at the gate!

Please can this be resolved and delivered today!

Takealot Price changes when added to cart

Good day,

I tried to place an order today the 14th of november 2021 for a daily deal.

Bosch series 6 built-in stainless steel oven.

Reduced price r 5699.

When I continue to payment the price changes to r 6499 although the deliver fee is only r100.

Please rectify.

Takealot 1 missing item in my delivery.

Good morning. I received my order placed on the 30th of October 2021 yesterday (11th of November 2021). I must say the delivery was quite efficient as I expected my ordered items next week as stated after payment.
On the other hand, out of 16 items ordered, one of them is missing, Hisense U50 16GB Dual sim. I hope you will swiftly respond to this.

Takealot Hot air brush

I purchased a hot air brush a month ago..1st one was faulty upon delivery, returned the product within 2 days at Prow branch. Received notification to pick up a replacement. Used the replacement once and it burned my daughter's hair and stop working. Now it's working with hair stuck within seems to be faulty again. No more replacements please return my money asap and collect your product.

Takealot Wrong items delivered

Shocking service from Takealot

Order #[protected] - Xmas tree ordered - FRYING PAN DELIVERED!
To date, still have no idea when I can expect my Xmas tree, and had to pay R200 additional delivery cost for delivery

Order #[protected] - 2 x items not available - order cancelled without any notification from Take a lot, credit passed which I had to reorder different goods

Takealot Silicon knee support/guard

Order 964873 Order 8 November 2021 again. Size can not be selected before put in basket when order.
Outcome of return MRRN-prwkz-84gr was to replace with large by returning the medium - which is not mentioned in advertisement of product.

Desired outcome: Please provide very urgent with Large silicon knee guard/support 41-46cm. If not available please contact me on [protected] to arrange according time frames of availability of the Large. If not soon than send the medium again please
