Takealot Product / service

Return of Bosch stove 25/09/2021 : ref #[protected]
The light of the stove was not working anymore, I have contacted Take a lot and as per have agreed to pick up the stove and was done although I needed to wait an additional day for the pickup after the courier company came and said they will come back but never did.
I accordingly selected the wrong method in terms of reimbursement, which was credit my account instead of replacement. Yet I have in the box below reiterated that we would like to have the stove replaced.
Apparently as per conversations with various consultants they will replace and needs an override from a Supervisor or Manager. Yet this has not been done till today.
We have been inconvenienced for nearly a month and still sits without a stove, eventually when I tried to purchase the stove the same stove is nearly R 2000 more than original purchase price.
Please kindly go back to all recordings and listen to conversations we had regarding this, we have really been embarrassed with the kind of service we received and yes, we spend a lot of Money not only for the stove but other thing as well, look at track record. I am not asking for a favor.
All we ask for is delivered on your promise.
Your urgent response will be highly appreciated

Takealot Delivery

I ordered goods on Sunday 24th October and got promised that my stuff would be delivered on Tuesday 26th October. Today is Tuesday and the stuff has not yet been shipped? On top of that I received no communication that the delivery would be delayed and I had to call to find out. This is not only inconvenient in that I did not receive the things I ordered on time, but also now I'm uncertain regarding the new date of delivery. I'm really disappointed in Takealot considering that it has a really good integrity when it comes to delivery. This is really disappointing.

Takealot Service

Order number [protected].
This possibly the WORST service in history. Ordered 3 items on Oct 1st... Promised delivery will take place on the 8 of May.
May 10 received an email about confirming address... I called customer care... Address re confirmed delivery to ta ke place on the 13th because the area gets serviced on Wednesday.
14th follow up telephonic ally... Oyama promised to follow up... Instead one item from order was canceled
15th... Tamlin promised to correct mistake and deliver coming Wednesday.. instead one more item got canceled again
16th no luck finding Tamlin or oyama
18th Tristan.. Will track order and update with email nothing happened.. Follow up in the afternoon now assisted by Taryn because I can't be transferred to Tristan... No fruitful answer its like no one knows or rather cares...
That time all of this is happening am outside the country and hv to do international calls... All I wanted was to surprise my son with a gift from mom...
Am GRAVELY disappointed with TAKEALOT..

Takealot I am lodging a complain about the brown leather headboard.

I bought 2 leather headboards from takealot on the 15 August 2021. I just opened the packages on Friday the 15 October and only to find that the other one is already damaged.

Takealot TV I bought a plasma about last year end year but now its showing blank it doesnt show anything and it on. And I dont use it everyday its always off

My plasma doesnt show pictures it blank and I am not home at all time so its always off so today I was trying to switch it on to watch and it is blank am angry...I would like you to fix it or bring the new it doesnt even have a year but its starting to act no I am not happy at all I trusted takealot so bad

Takealot Wrong product

Order no: [protected]. Good Day I have ordered an open network cellphone. yet I have received a Operator locked Vodacom) phone. With Vodacom lock screen and pre installed apps. How is this acceptable. If I order and pay for HALAAL will you insult me with pork chops. I waited a long timer for this delivery wit plenty of delays from your side. Before I vent my frustration on Hello Peter. I would like to know your resolve.

Takealot Huawei P40 Pro Dual Sim

It is not necessarily a complaint
Actually I wanted to buy Huawei P40 Pro dual sim phone but it not available at the moment.
I then decided to buy Huawei P40 phone instead. If Huawei P40 Pro dual sim phone was available I could top up the price I paid to acquire my desired phone.
Are there any changes perhaps to get the phone I so much need?

Takealot Cash Mall which claims to be part of Takealot Seller Affiliate Partner

The above mentioned organisation recruit people with the name of Takealot and request them to invest money in their program promising earning potential from 0.65% to 0.72% per order times 10 orders, per day. They also have term investments where people are supposed to invest from R1000 for seven days at 5% per day, etc.

I had invested R200 on their apps. Yesterday I requested a withdrawal of R107 the results was processing. Up until now it still shows processing. When I asked the person who introduced me to this system, she does not have a clue as to what is going on. I also contacted their withdrawal agent who text back and said I should upgrade, meaning I should again put another money before I could request withdrawal!

Desired outcome: If Takealot knows anything about this organisation I may be glad if my matter could be investigated, because I suspect fraud or scam.

Takealot Clean product refused for inspection on return under warranty

Terrible service, machine not "clean enough" to look at for inspection
MRRN-75wgb-8kk5 I bought a 360 - C50 Robot Vacuum Cleaner, Suction, Sweep and Mop. Absolutely terrible service. No Communication to the customer. My machine is under warranty and has to be refunded or fixed. This pathetic service provider now tells my after the 3rd time that I try and book this machine in, that their supplier says the machine is not clean enough so they can not look at it. They are playing games so that the warranty expires.

Takealot Charger for Panasonic

On the 10th of September I ordered a DMW-BLE9 battery by Duracell and got delivered on the 14th of September 2021... but I ordered a wrong product and returned it to Mahikeng warehouse on the 21st of September 2021. I ordered again a charger for Panasonic VW-VBT190 and VW-VBT380 battery by Duracell on the 27th of September 2021 and got delivered on the 30th of September 2021 but they delivered a DMW-BLE9 again.

If Takealot doesn't have the product I want they can always refund me or send the exact thing I ordered a charger for Panasonic VW-VBT190 and VW-VBT380 battery by Duracell. Thank you.

Desired outcome: Get the exact thing I ordered.

Takealot Delivery

Customer service is beyond poor when it comes to delivery. I have been waiting for order since last and they promised it will be delivered today. Guess what they wrote where I track my order the customer was not available, whereas I am working at home and my phone was on. They sent an sms that it will be delivered tomorrow, lies and unacceptable.

Takealot Refund from Takealot : Disgusting Experience

Takealot did not honour their part of the deal I paid for extra delivery the next day my order was not delivered no word received from Takealot..

When order was cancelled my refund was R100 short.

I have been following them for the short amount no courtesy to respond at all

Takealot I ordered a set of blinds for my window.

When I opened the product it was very clearly damaged and so I requested a replacement that was a week and half ago. they said the replacement would of been here yesterday but nothing has arrived, so I logged onto my takealot account and according to them the ordered was cancelled but there was no refund. this is ridiculous and they need to do better!

Good day. I have made an order of a PVC Vinyl Backdrop 2, 2m (W)x 3m (H) my order number is [protected] on the 8th October 2021 which the estimation date of the delivery was suppose to be on the 12th October 2021 tuesday, however I haven not yet got my order. I have not been told what is the delay, and I am suppose to use the backdrop for my jobs which is delaying me

Takealot Lies about delivery details

On Saturday, 28 August 2021 I ordered and paid R1 199 for Welding machine from Takealot order number [protected]. The delivery details stated that the item will be delivered on Tuesday, 7 September 2021. On Friday, 3 September 2021 I received a message stating that my order is out for delivery and should be delivered before 5pm. Later on, I received another message stating that my order has been lost in transit so they will find a replacement and reschedule delivery.

After realizing that there has been no communication from Takealot. about my order, I decided to call them on Wednesday 15 September 2021, as a reminder that I'm still waiting for my order. After the call they assured me that they will process the delivery of my order and told me that my order will be delivered on Monday 20 September 2021 before 5pm. On the day of the rescheduled delivery I got a call from +27 [protected](Takealot) at 19:03 the person on the other side of the call didn't speak and the call was ended.

I tried to track my delivery again on the Takealot. app and it showed that my order was delivered and signed by me at 19:03. According to my knowledge nothing was delivered to me so I don't know wether to label this as a scam or poor service or dishonesty from Takealot's delivery team.

I would like Takelot to explain the reasons for their poor service towards me and deliver my order before 25 September 2021 or refund my money.

Takealot Utterly disgusted by the mistreatment as a seller

I'd like to start this review by stating that I have been a loyal Takealot customer for years, I've recommended these guys to both friends and family as being reliable for years.

However my complaint isn't with the Takealot platform but rather the Takealot Seller Portal and their incompetent compliance team.

I've been a seller on the platform for just under a year now and I've sent hundreds if not thousands of tickets and queries trying to resolve issues. Of which most of these tickets are either ignored or set as solved without anyone actually responding to them or helping you in any way or form. And the people that you do eventually connect with listen to your problem, state they will contact/call you back and you never hear back from them again.

Over the last month, I've been trying to add new products to my Catalogue, these products are branded and were bought in a retail store, I have the receipt for them and everything. These products kept getting rejected however by the compliance team due to needing a letter from the manufacturer or a receipt for the products. I then uploaded the receipts and the products got rejected yet again, I was then told to contact the retail store and ask them for a direct invoice for the products. I did this and got a new invoice from the retail store. I then uploaded the new invoice to the compliance team, this was on the 14th. I woke up on the 15th with an email stating that my account has been suspended because the specific agent has the opinion that the products are fraudulent. Note none of these products were ever actually listed under my account let alone sold to anyone, the requests were for permission to sell the specific products.

No member of the compliance team had ever mentioned that these could have possibly been fraudulent over the month-long period that I've been uploading the products. Even so the Takealot T&C state that "You may not provide Product Information or Listing Information for any Unsuitable Products, or otherwise seek to list such Products for sale on the Website, and Takealot is entitled at any time to suspend or remove the listing of any Unsuitable Products from the Website. A list of Unsuitable Products may be included from time to time on the Seller Portal, but Takealot is entitled at any time without prior notice to You to declare any other item as an Unsuitable Product, whether or not it also amends such list." Therefore like in the past, the listings should have just been rejected like they have been in the past. Except the reasoning should state that these are potentially fraudulent products. My account shouldn't have been suspended.

Takealot also states under Prohibited Content, "Illegal and potentially illegal products: All Products sold on the takealot.com site must adhere to all applicable laws. Our sellers are therefore legally liable for their own actions and transactions. As a seller you are expected to familiarise yourself with the legal parameters surrounding any products that you intend to offer for sale on takealot.com. This would include the sale of products by entities outside the Republic of South Africa." None of these products were ever added to my listings let alone sold to anyone, I was simply requesting permission to sell these products, unknowingly that they were fraudulent. If I had known that or if it was ever mentioned I would have gotten rid of the products and never looked back. I'm not the manufacturer nor the importer for these products, again, I bought these from a brick and mortar store, It's illegal in the first place for that retail store to sell fraudulent products.

This has been the latest issue, last month a bunch of my products got disabled because they were "branded" and associated with "PS5" which wasn't allowed to be sold at the time. This is funny because the products that were disabled are generic products that are simply compatible with the PS5, Xbox & Switch controllers. Because it's a generic controller display stand. And on top of that, if you search for "PS5 controller stand" there are still hundreds of products online that weren't taken down like mine was.

Another issue before this, a bunch of products getting rejected due to the primary image being a lifestyle image. This means that on a phone stand or holder, it must be the stand alone without showing the phone. A headphone or controller stand, without showing the controller or headphone. This is especially funny because if you search for a phone/headphone or controller stand right now, there are hundreds of products showing a lifestyle image as the primary image.

Mmmmmmm, Its rules for some and none for others and its BS. I've even had reversible plushies rejected 12 times because either the image with the plushies had to be the same angle, then no arrows allowed on the image and then the product would get rejected for no "dimensions & weight" even though this is a compulsory field when uploading a product. So in the excel sheet that you get back when a product is rejected, a reason is mentioned like the one before. So I'd add those specifications again and reupload. I'd then get the product rejected AGAIN and in the same document with all the specifications listed, I'd get a BS "No dimensions or weight" issue again. After 12 attempts I gave up on those products. That was still when there was a single reversible octopus plushie on the market, now there are hundreds. All with [censored]ty images, arrows on the image and I'm pretty sure none of their listings were rejected.

I'm still dealing with the suspended account, and my whole company runs around selling on Takealot, it's everything, our whole importing market of products is on Takealot. I'm losing thousands because of this and no-one can tell me how long this will take, how long the suspension is, how I can get it reactivated. I have the option to repeal the suspension, which I've done several times without any responses. I've never received any warnings, tickets or suspensions before, this is all a first. And my account is being suspended even though I haven't done anything illegal or against the T&C of Takealot.

I hope someone that can help me sees this and attempts to help me because going through the compliance team and sending them tickets is useless, nothing ever gets resolved, let alone answered.

I hope you got away from then

Definately an abusive monopoly and the public aids and abetts its abuse to sellers

The seller support telphone folk are poorly trained

And simply put down the phone on sellers if they are unhappy

Managements has zero interest in sellers exceot when trying to get them onboard

Damaged stock is returned at sellers expense after repaying the damager without even inspecting the goods thiugh they dont know to either

and the dispute system against damages is for show only

Weeks pass after you submit a lengthy dispute form and the trail peters out and seller never hears again

Returns are probably between 30 to 50 percent at a guess

How could any other company make a profit allowing buyers to return that many products either damaged by public weeks later or the packaging and seals broke or products damaged ? Pick nooay checker woukd have gone bankrupt long ago but takelot is just a middle nan and has no products so sinply abuses sellers to meet its own ends

Fulfillment fees and success fees percentages and forcing the suppliers to pay for delicery on top of that leave sellers eith hardly any money to sustain their businessness

But takelot dominates google shop ads with mega bucks and forces the bidding for ads on google out of reach of most ither companies pushing up google shop add starting bids per click to unaccessible prices except to big monopoliies like takealot

Google and takealot are colluding and the authorities really dont have a clue and inflationary prices are killing everyone except on tiny small worthless items

Hi - have you had any resolution wrt this complaint. I'm also fedup with how TAL treats sellers, but we seem to be powerless. No service - rude and disintereted call centre staff. NO ESCALATION PROCESS. Call centre staff even refusing to tell me who the manager of their area is. This "Manager" is always "on lunch" or "has already left for the day".

They have just decided to disable the Homeware section until 12 December - the busiest time of the year, so I cannot load any new products.

I also have issues with products loaded being declined because of the images that is never right.

I absolutely dread phoning their call centre because it mostly pointless - your issue is either "referred to another area" which never phones you back.

MOST USELESS SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED FROM ANY COMPANY

Takealot Poor delivery service

I placed an order on 13th September 2021 and agreed to payment for delivery service on condition that the order would be delivered by 15th September 2021 by 17h00.

No communication was received from Takealot regarding any difficulties in delivering the order timeously, instead when I tracked my order online it still confirmed delivery on 15th September 2021 by 17h00.

By 16h30 when the order had still not been delivered I called to enquire how far the courier was, only to be told for the first time that my order had been delayed.

If I had known that Takealot could not deliver on the agreed time, I would not have made the order as the order was needed on that day and this delay has caused much distress.

Desired outcome: Refund of delivery fee

Takealot An iPhone USB cable and earphones

The charger is working but the problem is it only takes the percentage down not up, earphones are not working completely. So I would like to be assisted by being given a replacement or cash back please
