When deciding on my claim StateFarm claims officer, Maurice Thompson sided with the offender who had caused me a rather serious auto accident, only because, as they stated, they "felt" his testimony was more expressive than mine. When I called Mr. Thompson out on relying on his "feelings" rather than factual data and questioned why I was the only one required to submit more documentary evidence but not the other driver, he ended the conversation and hung up on me. I've been with State Farm for more than 20 years, and never experienced anything like that, but possibly because I never had a claim. Absolutely unacceptable of any professional, in any situation, let alone when treating a long-term loyal customer. Incident date was 06/21/25.
Claimed loss: 1500
Desired outcome: At a mimimum, would like an apology. I changed the provider and will not come back to State Farm for any of my future insurance needs. Further, an independent, unbiased review of my case is in order.
