I am my mother's Power of Attorney. She is in a situation where I am now in control of her finances. She has debt that needs to be paid. I provided my Power of Attorney to the agent office and I was told that they do not accept the Power of Attorney and she should just let the policies lapse. That is unethical business practices. My attorney informed me that the Power of Attorney I have is a legal and a valid document until a judge revokes my Power of Attorney. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, got nowhere with that. I filed a complaint with the insurance regulator in Pennsylvania, still haven't heard back from them. State Farm "Complaint Department" reached out to me and I responded and have heard nothing back.
This is a company you should stay away from. If they wrong you, keep filing complaints and leave these bad reviews. Corporations need to be put back in their place and stop destroying the consumer.
