I am holding S.B.I. credit card for last eighteen months.On one fine day on 27 march 2007, I received D.D. of Rs.27000 from S.B.I. card stating that this is pre-approved loan,which I never asked for. So I was shocked and immediately contacted S.B.I. card helpline to cancel my loan which I never asked. So They advised me to send D.D. back trough drop box and accordingly I send back D.D. on 29 march 2007 with covering letter to cancel my loan.
But when I received monthly statement on 10 April 2007 showing loan amount and E.M.I., I immediately wrote letter and contacted several times on help line who told me that this matter is under process. Same thing repeated in 10 may2007 account statement.
At the First week of june 2007 I was told that my matter is settled and I will get intimation of cancellation of loan and E.M.I.within 2-3 days. But suddenly on 13 june 2007 one person arrived at my residence as collection agent from S.B.I. card Who threatened my mother to pay the dues, as I was not at home. Up till now The matter is not resolved by Sbicard and I am getting Phone call from recovery agent to pay the money.
What the hell happening in SBI...

My balance on 6/06/2007 is :3,523.29. On 9/06/2007, i submitted a cheque (number: 392701) worth of 11000/- at masjid modh SBI, new delhi. But when i checked my balance on 11/06/2007, i came to know that my balance is 3,96,224.29/-.
That means they swapped cheque number with amount. On 13/06/2007, they deducted 3,81,701.0/- and my balance is 13,934.29/-.
But on 11 & 13 of this month,they again deducted 589.0/- & 573.0/- (total 1162/-) from my account for inter city charges. That was due to crediting of 3,96,224.29/- and deducting of 3,81,701.0/-. My balance on 6 june is:3523.29/-. After clearing a cheque of worth 11,000/- my balance should be: 14,523/- .
But my balance is 13,934.29/-.
I am not responsible for their mistake and how they can punish me??
I meet the concern officer and he told me that your problem will be finished with in 1-day.
But till now there is no response.

This is regarding the above subject, given clearance through Phone from my side to accept the "SBI Life Super Suraksha" dated 10/11/2006 amount Rs 2613/- the same amount I paid through my Credit Card Account in two installment during Dec 2006 & Jan 2007 before 20th in the respective months. But so far no information regarding my Policy Premium receipt paper or any other statements. Then what way I will get Income Tax Relief & what it is benefited for me. Even i have contacted and complained to Head (cards) through email. But still issue is pending, nobody has taken to solve this problem. I have paid policy amount 5 months back, if i meet life threat / death, how this will help for me.
I have registered a complaint with the card division for billing 9634Rs on 3/6/2006. It was not yet resolved but they go on adding service charges and interest charges on this amount and harass me to make payment in spite of my explaining to them the reason for non-payment. Daily numerous calls were made by their staff and the language they use is not proper. Suitable action must be taken for using bad languages for collection.

I have a sbi card from past 1 year. If you want to screw your own happiness, please go for this card. You cannot find a better way of getting your happiness screwed. These were the worst days of my life fighting with their customer service. I dropped in the cheque for the outstanding amount and I again get a call saying I have payment pending. I was fed up and again paid the amount and asked them to close my card. However, even today I get the statement. I dont know what these sbi managers are doing???
Last month, by mistake my wife used the card and again we are supposed to deal with these worst customer service agents. They do not know english or understand any other language. It is located in chennai and they only know tamil. I am fedup explaining them that I will be making the payment in next 1 week and you can charge for the late payment. However, I keep getting calls 10 times a day even after I made the payment.
Manager at sbi should make sure that the pcs at their service center are operating perfectly. We are ready to finance for the same. It is better than taking their harassment. Also, I do not understand what these consumer courts are doing when these many people are having issue with the same bank??? Reserve bank of india has all sorts of amendments to make sure people are not making more money but paying to the government as tax, loan interest etc.. Why can't it stop these #-in banks from harassing people like these??? If it cannot control these banks, it does not have any right to bring other amendments also.. Sbi - # bank with all # support people.
Inspite of telephonic talk with SBI Card officer I have not received monthly statement for the month of March (10 th.) of credit card issued to me though sms has been received on my mobile phone that duplicate monthly statement for the month of March '07 is being sent. My credit card no. is [protected]. I have also confirmed to send statement on my e mail address provided in the application form while applying for credit card. Also web page (www.sbicard.com) does not open and appears to be nonfunctional for a long time. I have accessed this site previously quite easily.
In short services of SBI Card is not found satisfactory. They must improve.

I am using a SBI Gold card from last around 1 year. I purchased a water purifier using this card and got a call from the bank that I can convert this amount in 6 monthly EMIs. I said OK and the told me that in a few minutes I will got a confirmation call for the same. I received the call and again I confirmed that I am ready for 6 months EMIs.
Now when I received my statement I surprised to saw that they have calculated EMI for 24 months that means more interest. I call the customer care and they told me that it will be rectified and withing 7 days you will get new statement. I didn't received any statement till one month.
After one month I again call the customer care department and that time they told me that they can not change this EMI plan back to 6 month but they can cancel it and now I have to pay full amount at once.
Now when they record the conversation and I asked them to play the conversation which I had with the EMI department they never played any conversation. I am very shocked with the behavior of the customer care. When I agreed on 6 months of EMI then why they made 24 EMIs and now they are not agree to revert back it to 6 months. Very bad service.

But I am sorry to complaint that I didn’t receive ATM card now. I am native of rayadrug and as I study at Hyderabad I open this account only for the purpose of ATM. So that my parent debit the amount and I withdraw hear. I sorry to say that I didn’t get satisfaction compare to other commercial banks. I request once please issue my ATM debit card as early as possible.

I Mr Rajendra Suresh Dakhale residing at 63/3108 Vartak Nagar , Thane – 400 606. My Mobile No [protected]. I am not at all satisfied with the services which is provided to me from SBI cards resulting that I would like to cancel my Credit Card with immediate effect.
I have paid Rs 17,768=62 (Seventeen Thousand Seven hundred Sixty eight & Sixty two paise by Cheque only. I had issued a cheque from my Saving Account to SBI Card. Cheque is debited in my account on 21/07/2006 as per the Bank Statement from The Mahanagar Co-Op Bank Ltd. From August or September onwards I am getting calls from SBI Payment Services Pvt Ltd Delhi for the Payment They are asking me the payment of the amount which is paid by me in july only. after fighting with them for a month or more I am able to convince them about my case. Till that time every day I was getting calls from different executives. In December I got call from SBI Andheri that your payment is outstanding they are also asking for the payment which is paid by me in July 06. worst part is that they came to my residence for the payment unfortunately I was in office but when I came to know that person from SBI came for payment I immediately called him & tell him the truth. Next day I went to Bank & collected Bank Statement as well as the certificate from the Bank mentioning that the 17768-62 is debited to my account on 21/07/06 and credit send through RBI Clearing to SBI Andheri Branch after two days Mr Mangesh from SBI andheri called me & told me that your cheque was in suspense account now it will get credited to your account. Today is February 23.2007 even 7 days before I have received the bill from SBI cards and asking to pay around 4000 to 5000 for the Interest or something. You tell me sir why I should pay the interest & what about the wastage of time & energy which I have spend to convince to sbi card’s useless people (They help me after 5 months). So many times I ask for the senior persons no or name to explain my problem but he didn’t give me the no his mobile no is [protected].
In future I will not go for SBI Card neither I will suggest my friends & relatives reason is that I have got such horrible experience from you people.
Even after paying money, SBI executives were after me like a. (I don’t want to write). You tell me a single reason why customer like me should not launch a complaint against SBI to appropriate authorities. I spoke to Mr Mangesh and asked that why sbi is again sending me the bill and asking for the interest or charges. He has only one answer Next month it will clear.
Now from Two months I am following up this case with Mr Rakesh (from SBI Payments Services – andheri) but still I am getting the Bills from SBI .
Please clear this issue immediately otherwise I will have to go to appropriate authorities due to deficiency of Services against SBI. (At your Cost). Please treat this as request or warning or whatever but sort out my issue immediately.
Now have applied credit card to HSBC but they have rejected my appl. Even Today I am following up this issue with Rakesh but no response.
I hold a SBI Gold Card No 4xxxxxxxxxxx9058 from SBI. I made a purchase for over Rs 30000 in the month of October 2006. As that was a promotion period "Jo Dikhta Hai Wohi Mi1ta Hai” offer from SBI, I won myself a Diamont Pendant worth Rs 4595. I received a letter dated 22-Nov-2006 signed by Nirupam Sahay, Vice President - Marketing, SBI mentioning the same.
As I didn’t receive any pendant from SBI till Feb 15th, I wrote a letter addressing to "The Marketing Manager (JDHWMH offer), SBI Cards and Payment Services Pvt Ltd, PO Bag No 28; GPO, New Delhi 110001” as given in the letter from SBI (In case of non-receipt of the pendant till 15th Feb 2007, please write to...).
As there was no response from SBI to my letters, I called SBI Cards helpline no. 040-[protected], to file a complaint and also sent a mail to feedback.[protected]@ge.com. There was no response for any of the mail or phone calls.
On 16-Mar-2007, I was given a complaint number [protected] and the executive said that SBI is following on the case and I would receive the pendant in 1 week. I used to call SBI every week to receive the stereo type answer "You would receive in another week" or "please call after 1 week to know about the status". When I called the helpline on 30-Apr-2007, I was surprised to hear from one Ms Saranya that there is no complain number for this case and she resisted to give a complaint number.
When I called the SBI helpline again on 7/May/2007, I was give a fresh complaint number [protected] and was asked to wait for another 3 days. This looks like a cat and mouse game, where I call SBI regularly and they keep postponing things. The promotion looks like a false one to mislead people. I am not sure if anyone ever received the so called pendant they promised to give.
On getting frustrated I sent mails to the vice president on e-mal ID head.[protected]@ge.com. It looks like the VP doesn't even read mails, but sends a response using a standard template. The response doesn't have any sense at all.
SBI also sells sensitive data to its vendors. I observed this as I receive promotional calls to the number which only SBI credit Card officials know.
I opted for Royal Sundaram's Hospital Cash Scheme through SBI Credit Card during 2005. SBI Card collected it as 12 installments. When the Royal Sundaram asked for continuation of the Scheme I agreed and an amount of 3665/- was included in the next months statement and I paid it promptly in the next payment in full without delay.
But to my surprise, in the next months statement, SBICARD has charged Rs. 1,122.00 as HO Cash Admin Fee without informing about such a cheat was utter despair and confusion regarding the payment of the amount shown the statement because:
1. SBI Card or Royal Sundaram have not informed me about this much huge administration fee. Later Royal Sundarm has told that they are not charging anything other than the premium amount of Rs. 3665.00
2. The Administration fees is very huge i.e., Rs.1,122.40/- for 3,665/- which is 31%. This much admin fee can not be justified for just passing the amount to Royal Sundaram.
Then I contacted the SBI CARD helpline and requested the person to cancel the admin fee or if not possible, cancel the card. He said to remit the rest of the amount excluding Rs. 1,122.40/-. When I checked with the help line on the next day, they said that my card has been cancelled and the admin fee can not be revoked. Hence I did not remit the bill amount.
I have not paid any further bills and not done any transactions on the cards.
CAN ANYBODY ADVISE ME WHAT TO DO ? What I have to do to solve this problem?
Myself is Inspector Abhinav. I have an saving account at SRINAGAR Branch, DELHI No. [protected]. Nearly three weeks ago I have applied for Internet Banking. They gave me the user name and password for the same but till now they haven't give me the transaction right online. I visited the branch couple of time but no avail. My brother has an account in ICICI bank from the last five years but till date he hasn't seen his branch office. All his works has done online. That is the main differences between the private and public sector banks. My view is that all public sector banks should be made private. Then there is a smooth functioning of the banks.
COMPLAINT no. 1
Cheque collection box at SBI ATM at mogappair west, Chennai 37 was fixed in Jan 2007, which was useful to drop credit card cheques for the office goers. I have gone to drop a cheque today (15.5.2007) at 6.30 am. But to my surprise,the box was removed from ATM and placed it inside the SBI branch, Mogappair West only 2 days back (on 13.5.07) FOR THE REASONS KNOWN TO sbi WHICH I DON'T WANT TO EXPLAIN.I have to wait till the opening of the bank by 9 or 9.30 pm.
COMPLAINT No 2
I am an Officer working in Tamil Nadu Secretatariat, Chennai 9. More than 7000 officials are working in the office. Most of them are having bank a/c with SBI and salary is credited through ECS. Many of the officers are also having credit card but they find it difficult to drop cheques as no collection box is put up in the SBI ATM at Secretariat right from the installation of ATM for the past 3 years. Further 1000 s of officials daily visiting the officials/Ministers find the same difficulty. While ATMs of other banks are having Cheque collection boxes, SBI is only lacking. We were therefore forced to switch over to the use of credit cards of other banks. I request installation of cheque collection box in the ATM @ Secretariat.
The helpline service of SBI CARDS are very rude and not at all aware of the subject. They don't provide the proper feedback and information on any queries. I had problem in receipt of statement for 4 months and even after regular complaint, the same was never resolved by SBI CARDS.
From time to time, I have made the payment of principal amount of money and requested to waive the late fees and finance charges. Once they have waived the same but then they become very rigid and regraded to change the same due to their policy. It's mistake of SBI but they don't realized that and blame the customers for non payment.
For last 4 months i m discussing with Mr. Ajay Bharti -VP of SBI cards but his behaviors was also rude and rigid. Instead of sorting out the issue, he tries to explain the situation in different manner.
During this discussing/communication with sbi cards, they have levied finance and late fees charges on non payment of disputed late fees.
Each month they levy the additional fees without resolving the issue.
It's quiet surprising to know such kind of behavior with one of the biggest public section banks.
I need some clarifications reg the state bank of india (sbi) banking procedure. I am working as a software engineer in bangalore. also I am holding my salary a/c in icici. and my native place is gobichettipalayam my parents are in my native. so I planned to open an savings a/c in sbi - gobichettipalayam branch (erode dist). during the month of january - 07.
when I approached the bank manager first time he did not replied properly also he replied as "I am having icici so he will he will not open new a/c for me in sbi". I had all the required documents including pan card & also reference (existing sbi a/c holder). then finally opened the account with the help of a small boy who is working in a tea-stall opp to the bank & his age is around 15-16 yrs who is supplying tea to the bank workers everyday
Then after opening the a/c I just wanted to activate the internet banking for the same a/c. and also I gave the request for the cheque book. but the manager refused to give both of them. when I asked about enabling the online account he said he wont enable that & also his reply was very blunt & rubbish.
so I just wanted to know is there any written rule like for opening a/c in sbi we should be relative or close friend of the manager? and also for enabling the online account is there any rule like we need to show many transactions?
Can anyone please clear my clarifications & correct me if anything I am wrong here.
I am an ENT Surgeon of Steel Authority of India Ltd posted at Durgapur. I am an owner of an SBI card I am also a savings bank a/c holder of SBI Durgapur the cheques of which I was mostly using for repayment of my card dues. I am a regular payer of my card dues. I normally used the drop box of the SBI A-Zone Branch Durgapur.
The payment which I made for the March statement(Rs 5000) through SBI Cheue no 619708 unfortunately has got debited from my savings bank ac but is not been credited into my credit card ac. Mr B. Sarkar, the Chief Manager of SBI Durgapur has checked from his official computer and confirmed that the amount has gone to the SBI Credit Cards ac. The copy of the statement was also send as a proof. I have also handed over an application and a copy of the statement to one Mr Manab, a collecting agent at Durgapur 15 days back.
Meanwhile I am being harassed for last one month ruthlessly by SBI Cards employees and DSAs on telephone and otherwise for slow payment without any clarification for why my credit card ac has not been updated. They are very rough in their dealings. I have received such a impolite call from the telephone no-[protected] today at around 1245 hrs. These people have no idea how to talk to respectable people.It seems they have responsibility to collect and none regarding the payment received. Being a Public sector employee myself I feel sad about the state of affairs of the company.
I am eager to make my payment but they should settle the issue first and help me by relieving me from this mental trauma.I was elated to take SBI DOCTORS Card but the treatment I am recieving is unwarranted and unpardonable.
I am corresponding, through e-mail, with SBI Cards for the last few weeks and on not being satisfied with responses, so sent by SBI Cards, today at 11.00 a.m. I called their Help Line Number [protected], which was picked-up by Mr. Rohit, who informed me that he was from their Gurgaon Call Centre.
During the conversation he kept me waiting for about a minutes without any reason nor he begged sorry for his unreasoned disappearance and when I asked him about the same he simply said I was talking non sense as the Finance Charges will not be deleted from my Bill at any cost and when I asked as to what should I do for my grievance he said why are you wasting his time as nothing is going to happen and disconnected the Phone.
I felt very bad as such I wrot to SBI Cards with the intention that they should know my nonsense, which I was telling to the Call Centre Boy. The same is as under:
I am not receiving the Bills since March 2007 and Soon after receipt of SMS, I made payment of Rs. 54,000=00 through Cheque No. 635977 of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, Vikas Nagar Branch, Lucknow, U.P. on 17.04.2007 and the Statement, received through your e-mail, shows that you have received Rs. 5,400=00 in 19.04.2007 and accordingly an amount of Rs. 2,140=00 has been included as Finance Charges as such I wanted that the deposited amount be corrected and the Finance Charges be deleted.
I am very old customer of SBI Cards and always made payment within time, except once in 2004.
I have never made part payment, except once.
I may also point-out that the aforesaid Cheque was presented in my Bank, i.e. The State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, Vikas Nagar Branch, Lucknow on 23.04.2007 and was cleared on that day itself.
I requested the SBI Vards to arrange regular and timely delivery of Bills/Statements.
The SBI Card was also requested by me that the Finance Charges be deleted from my Bill/Statement.
I warned the SBI Cards that in case the Finance Charges would not be deleted from my Bill/Statement, I would think for withdrawal of our relationship with SBI Cards.
I also informed the SBI Cards that unless the paid amount is not corrected and the Finance Charges are not deleted from my Bill/Statement, I will not make the payment of the present Bill, received by me through e-mail and then the matter will be resolved through Lucknow Court only. As such they may take this Letter as Legal Notice as well.
I am A.Ponkumar. Two months before I purchased an Air tel No:[protected]. I am getting a lot calls from SBI - Credit card Dept, Paris Branch, chennai asking a Name Mr.K.Prathap. I don't Know who is prathap. I got around 78 calls from That Dept.
I told them that I am not prathap. They are not accepting it. Then i told them that I am prathab. They are not accepting that also. What can I do. I used polite, strong , and harsh words also.
Still they are torturing me.

We have a CC account with SBI Anaj Mandi, Shahdara Branch with CC limit of Rs.33 Lac from last four years.
From last four year our turnover is around 1.8 to 2 Cr. and we have no need to increase our CC Limit. But this financial year our turnover is increased to 4.8 Cr. and we needed more funds, as we request SBI to increase our CC limit , but instead of increasing the limit they had decreased our CC limit .
Beside of all this the officers of state bank (smecc chandni chowk) harassed us for returning our title deed they tried to spend time by one or another way.
Also they force us to close our account in spite of requesting them that we have issued some cheques and we need some time to replace them with new cheques but they refused our request by saying that this is a SBI policy.
I want to know when I suspended my CC limit and have a credit balance and I am issuing cheques only with the money in my account how can they refuse to maintain my account.
We think the business is more important that policies, as bank interest we are paying about Rs. 1.6 to 1.9 lacks. to bank except other charges. If someone can’t fulfill the need of their customers obviously he will loose his customers, and the business decrease is not good for him itself.
Now we shifted our account to Allahabad bank with a limit of Rs 80 lacks. We never think of any relation with State bank of India.
