I hold a credit card from SBI for past 1 year and every month i had a problem from this collections agencies they used to call me for payment at least 5-10 time in a day for payment and i want to know that, will any lawyer call for collection on 22-09-2007. I got a call from lawyer RAMKUMAR from PARIES Collection department CHENNAI and he did not spoke to me he directly called to my home and he spoked to my mother in a bad language.
I had received a Credit Card from SBI on the 7th July, 2007. For last 3 months, I have not received any Credit Statement.
And then all of a sudden, I receive a call from Collections Department, from Chennai, that a Transaction had been made for Jun, 2007 worth Rs. 3900/= has been made.
First of all, I had not received the card by that date, so the transaction is entirely invalid, and secondly I have not received any Statement for any of the months. Then, I went on to call up the Customer Care Dept and they made an excuse saying, that the Statement could not reach me because of incorrect Pin Code. Now the bigger question is, if they have sent the card on the correct Pin Code, how are they not able to deliver the Statements at the same address.
Seems to be unbelievable. I am really tired of following this. The only way out for me is to get the card cancelled.
If somebody can help seeing this complaint and can follow this up, please do so...

I want to complain of Branch of state bank of india in HASTINAPUR (Meerut) (U.P.). Whenever we enter in the bank for any transaction the employees never give a good response to the customers and their behaviour is not good with the customers and always non-availability of cash, there is no fast service and they do every work very late, always create problems for the customers in every dealing in comparison to other banks at the same place like punjab national bank.
I had this so called Credit card from SBI, I gave a post dated cheque of Rs 1600 as a payment. Before that date I closed the card by paying the entire outstanding amount. Ideally the company should have never submitted my post dated cheque. But its SBI you can’t expect them to do so.
Any way my cheque of Rs 1600 was cleared and when asked for a refund they agreed to pay only 737, I said OK. But the cheque reached me after 3 months. I think the cheque was walking to my house!!.
I submitted the cheque and it bounced ( reason SBI stopped the payment). When asked the reason, they said it was erroneously done and asked me to resubmit, I resubmitted it and guess what it bounced again. I have asked for an explanation from them, but still no response!
I have decided not to submit the cheque now. Let the poor SBI souls have the money. These banks are like cancer cells and should be thrown out of business. I think any MNC or other Indian bank like ICICI bank is a thousand times better than these so called largest bank of India.
If you a SBI card read this cancel it and have peace of mind!!!

Long back about ten months before an executive came to me for SBI credit cards that has life time free subscription and lot of benefits, so as I applied for it. But for my surprise, to till date I didn't receive any SBI credit cards. but I use to get regular mails tomy mail ID from SBI stating my credit card payment... as till now i did not used any SBI card, and I never came to know my card number and how it is... instead I am getting mails and messages to my mobile for payment due.
I had sent a mail to marketing manager about this and asked him to cancel the card, and i am not liable to pay the amount also... he replied that he will do it, but till now he didn't and i use to get monthly mails and messages... I am sick of it... I don't know how to log a complaint, any one please suggest me how to complaint about it!

Please let me know why I have not yet been issued no dues certificate.
Please do not just keep sending sms for payments & what makes you to generating statements after statements after march 2007.
If you can send the no dues certificate its fine but if you cannot send no dues certificate then please do not send any further sms or statements, if you wish to continue then please understand that I will be forced to take up the issue with law makers of our country.
I will not allow such unlawful tactics to squeeze money from me.
I once again state that I have settled my card payment full & final on 28/03/2007 & have no dues now.

I have settled my card payment full & final on 28/03/2007 no dues now.
Awaiting the no dues certificate at the earliest.
My name is Aparna Goyal and I am a resident of Baghpat (U.P.). I have a joint account with my brother in Baghpat branch of SBI. I applied for ATM card to the bank and got the same but with misspelled name. I want to get the name spelled correctly but can find no ways to do that. People at the bank suggest me to work with same or open a new account. I did not find it convincing and tried to gain more information from the toll free number of SBI helpline, but neither that responded.
I request the authorities to look in the matter as soon as possible. I would provide any information required from my part for the appropriate action.
I was in mental agony for the past two months because of this card people and their stereo type e-mail answers. In May 2007, when I was in Vizag, there were 5 transactions posted in my card account and all these were Chennai transactions. All these transactions were done on one day 26/5/07 and same day I also had a transaction at Vizag. I reported this matter and sent dispute form to their charge back department on 14/06/07. They said all these 5 disputed transactions are of 'Swipe' transactions, which means my card was used for swiping. Then I have sent a request to Asst. Vice President, customer care and two charge slips out of 5 were sent to me on 23/7/07. To my surprise the card number and name on these charge slips were same as my card. But the the date of expiry was different and the signature on the charge slip was not mine. Moreover the time of transaction is almost same as my genuine transaction at Vizag. I have sent a copy of the charge slip of my genuine transaction and wrote detailed letter highlighting these differences immediately on 24/7/07. Now after a month I have got a lr from them saying that the card used is mine and they are urging me to pay the money to avoid penal interest etc.
Can anybody explain how the details of my card were duplicated and why bloody these cards are so probable of fraud. I need suggestion to solve this problem. Luckily till date I have not got any threatening calls.
I have a savings account with state bank of india, branch-guwahati-geetanagar. Inspire of applying for an atm cum debit card for about four times , i have not received a card till now. I had also lodged a complaint in the sbi bank website. But no one contacted me till now.

I have a story for SBI Credit Cards,
I had a dispute with SBI cards in Nov 2006 after I paying a amount of Rs.423/- towards bill amount on Oct 2006, through my SBI account Online transaction.
By mistake I entered last 2 digits wrong & till date they haven’t reverted that transaction where as adding Interest over Interest. I send their card back to them in Jan 2007 saying to cancel the card, Still day they haven’t canceled the card & as on July the amount stands to @Rs.3500/- for an mere amount of Rs.423/-.
The height is now, one person saying that he is advocate for SBI calling me & saying that the outstanding is @Rs.65000/- (Sixty Five thousand) & asking to see me in his office in Parry’s. Chennai India,
It is a request for you friends to stop using SBI cards & Surrender their card back. The call I got from [protected].
I had applied for Rs.4 lacs as a Student Overseas education loan from SBI,Vile Parle, Mumbai in May/June-2005 and my loan was sanctioned with a deposit of Rs.5000/- as margin money-to be adjusted against interest charges. (cost of education @Rs.25 Lacs for TWO YEARS)
Masters of Science course in US usually takes 18 months to 24 months .In August/Sept.2006 when I had finished with my own savings and finance-I approached SBI to disburse my sanctioned loan.
At this pont of time I got shocked from SBI ( letter in WRITING ) that my LOAN sanctioned has LAPSED ( loan WAS NOT availed within ONE YEAR of SANCTION ) and I need to apply ALL OVER AGAIN.
Since study duration was of 24 months-TWO years-which SBI knew in writing, I think officials ( Branch Manager and Personl.Bankung Manager) in charge of LOAN disbursement wanted me to GREASE THEIR PALMS for disbursement of loan .
I protested and complained to CHAIRMAN OF SBI and marking copies of my correspondence to CERC, Ahmedbad AND OTHER CONSUMER ORGANIZATIONS.
After correspondence/phone calls to SBI-HO in Mumbai- FOR ALMOST 3/4 MONTHS i got an OKAY for loan disbursement. My US university's deadline for payment of FEES already expired and I had to make alternative arrangements for LOAN at much HIGHER INTEREST and personal embarrassments/expenses.
I have sent complaint to CBI/ACB to take action against concerned officials of SBI-but NO ACTION. However due to STRONG PROTEST of my correspondence, SBI has QUIETLY REFUNDED MY MARGIN MONEY of RS.5000/- into my bank account.
I would appreciate if READERS of complaintsboard.com having similar experience to come forward and narrate their experience - to help other STUDENT aspirants to take guidelines for STUDENT EDUCATION LOAN.
I made payment to sbi cards through Bankers cheque issued by STATE BANK OF INDIA -(COIMBATORE Ganapathy BranchBranch code 3690). The banker made a mistake in issuing the cheque. He did not put his branch details on the cheque.
Sbi cards rejected my cheque stating that Since the bank details are missing, it could not be banked. They sent me a copy of the cheque. On contacting the STATE BANK OF INDIA who issued the cheque, he is not refunding my money or issuing a fresh cheque without the Original cheque.
Even after hundreds of calls, posts, emails and furnishing all the details to SBI CARDS through mail, They are not sending me the original cheque to me.
Now I lost my money with SBI CARDS and State bank of India.

I’m not holding any credit card from SBI, thank god. But here the story is different, there should be any data entry error or I don’t know someone has got credit card from SBI with named “Manoj Kumar”.
And these guys are keeping on chasing my number and asking for “Manoj Kumar”. I’ve been holding this mobile number for nearly 4 years and I am not “Manoj Kumar” also I don’t hold any credit card from SBI.
With the help of Internet I could find out that the following is the address of the call center which is calling on behalf of “SBI Credit cards”.
I’ve been tortured each and every day, even few minutes before I got a call from them.

Why don’t these bank guys verify the phone number before issuing any credit card.
I have recently shifted to Gurgaon from Delhi. I had a outstanding bill of my credit card. I tried to drop a cheque but there are no ATMs in Gurgaon which have cheque drop box. I received a call from SBI regarding my bill payment. I asked him to come to me and collect the cash money. SBI executive came and collected the cash bill as 10200.00 Rs and he told me that he will deposit the money by today. Its been more than 1 month and when I contacted SBI customer care they said he hasn't submitted the bill ans its not their responsibility. I need to pay my bill again.
A cheque of SBI main branch Kanpur payable at par at all branches of SBI was deposited in allahabad bank in extension counter Chandiwala Estate(Nehru Place).The same has been returned uncleared by SBI Air force Station Tuglakabad with remarks "Wrongly Delivered not drawn on us". The allahabad Bank where the cheque was deposited has retrenched Rupees sixty without none of my fault from my account due to dishonor of the cheque. I am a meager pensioner drawing only Rs.1180/- P.M from my Jeevan Surakhsha Policy. Deducting any amount out of Rs.1180/- i.e Pension will pinch to any retired person. The cheque is with me unpaid and not able to decide what to do with this cheque.
I had a sbi credit card and no matter how much i used to pay the amount was just going up... so i asked these people for a settlement. They said the total amount due is 40,000 so if i pay them 37,000 they will close my account i said ok... in dec 06. So i asked these people to come and collect the check.they took the check took my credit card and said we will send you the settlement papers in 7 working days. Till date i haven't received any settlement papers, i get a monthly statement and my balance due is going up again. If i call the customer care they are no good they are rude and not at all helpful. They say we don't have any information on the settlement. But every month they call and ask for the monthly payment ad promise to mail me the settlement papers. If this is not cheating what do i call this...
I had applied for the credit back way back in the month of jan 07 and the same was dispatched at the given address as in the application. No body could receive them at home at Coimbatore in my house where my tenants stays. Now i am staying at ambala, haryana. My wife recently visited the bank and found that the same was lying with the staff dealing with the credit cards. They refuse to give the same to my wife in hand and simultaneously i got the fax no on 02 jul 07 and i requested the same to dispatch to ambala but till date i had not received the same.
Such a poor service being the biggest bank in india having the largest network. Once a letter was also delivered to them stating they should take immediate action but they did not bother. Hopeless and disgusting.
On the same i applied for the cheque book and to my dismay i found that being the main branch there was shortage of bank cheque book and that they also gave me after a gap of two month.
I conclude by that such a shameless bank we have in india.
I have credit card with SBI for the last 7 years. However i missed my payment due to my health problem, i am in hospital for a surgery and the same is communicate to the collection team at chennai. Even after that they had sent a collection guy called Rajesh to my residence and he threats with dire consequence to my family and abused all of them. Is this how SBI behaves with customers? Are they hiring criminal people?
This is complaint against sbi credit cards where they have not been sending statements for last eight months. Without my authorization they have paid to Sundaram finance for a health insurance policy and now they have paid renewal charges without my permission or intimation. Since today I didn't receive any health card or policy also for Sundaram Finance.
How can I deal with this problem? to whom should I complain for the same? I tried sbi customer service many times, but no use.
