My wife and I purchased a living room set last October upon moving into our new home. After a few short months the cushions in the sofa we purchased began to go flat as the stuffing was pushed to one side. When you sat on them you had to sit at an angle (totally unusable). So at this point I decide to call customer support and see about getting the issue...

Rooms To Go Awful experience

We purchased a mattress at Rooms To Go in Frisco, Texas and were told that we had 30 days try the mattress out and see if we liked it. We chose one specifically because it was soft, but when it was delivered, it felt completely different than the one on the showroom floor. It was as hard as a rock. We went back to the store and talked to the manager about exchanging for a softer mattress. The manager just told us to go home and "walk around on it." We explained to him that we were not happy with it and wanted to find out what our options were. Unfortunately, he continually cut us off and basically told us that we didn't understand how mattresses work. He would not listen to anything we had to say, and kept giving the same speech about how he would lose money if he took the mattress back. He was very condescending, and most of the time would not even look up from the papers he had in his hand. He treated us like we were stupid. When we tried to explain that we were told that we had 30 days, he didn't believe us at all, and said that he was sure that even if the salesman told us that, he would have also told us that it is up to the manager's discretion and would have brought the manager to see us. The part he was "sure was said" never was. We are extremely upset and disappointed with Rooms To Go, especially its complete lack of customer service. We will never shop at their store again, and caution others about doing so. If you do, be ready to accept whatever problems you end up having, because they are not willing to help resolve them.

I wish I read all the comments prior to ordering my daughter's first "big girl" furniture. This was an exciting time for all of us until now, 8 weeks later, and still only have half my order! The warehouse will only deliver to my zip code on Wed, and my husband and I are normal people who have to work during the day! Luckily I have wonderful neighbors who let them in with the first part of my order which was left in the doorway of her room in very heavy boxes! Now, they tried delivering the bed and left because I didn't answer my cell phone-which by the way has NO voice mails or missed calls-and will not return until NEXT Wed! I will never do business with this company again and hope everyone else will read these comments before ordering! I'm contacting the store to either cancel my order or try to get another delivery date sooner than another week but have been on hold for 15 minutes and now have to wait on a manager to call me back! Good Luck to all of you with the same issues!

I wish i had did some research first before purchasing furniture from Rooms To Go. After they make the sale, customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. They are rude, unprofessional and can not give you answers to anything. We put a down payment on some furniture and when we returned to the store we wanted to make an additional purchase of a dinette set. Even though they had to make 2 deliveries because the coffee table was not in stock, they said we had to pay another delivery charge for the dinette set which was rediculous. We told them we would pick up the dinette set. Then no one knew the address of the place to pick up the dinette set. They finally made the first delivey after a month of the purchase. We are still waiting for the delivery of the coffee table. They said it would be the second week in June. I will never, ever set foot in a rooms to go store, Ever.

I totally agree! We bought a new bed and mattress. The mattress had this brown mold and the new bed was damaged twice. The would not accept the bed back as a return only an exchange. Rooms to Go sells bad furniture and mattresses.

Rooms To Go Appalling quality & customer service

Do not buy from Rooms to Go Kids!

At the beginning of May 2009, we purchased an “Ivy League Twin/Full Step Loft w/Desk” from Rooms to go Kids – value $1, 200, not a trivial amount for Kids Furniture! Link to items: http://www.roomstogokids.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=ktg.showItem&ipac_id=19179

Despite our paying cash upfront for the furniture, it had almost a month wait on it. The associate processing the order bungled the delivery so instead of it being delivered second to last week of May, it got delivered first week of June, and then the real fun began.

The quality of the furniture was appalling. The stain was uneven through all the pieces; there were serious imperfections in the wood with it being damaged in some places; shaved and not even in others (it looked like the piece of wood was bad so they took off the damaged area and left the ‘square’ plank uneven; there were areas where there was no stain at all!; some parts of the wood had splintered where the bolts went it and was broken to pieces; the draws inside had huge splinters of wood about to break off into a child’s fingers if they happened to run it along the top of the drawer (!); the screws were finished with rubbers in the store to protect the wood when bolted together but when I asked the delivery people where they were, I was told that they were not provided (?). I went back to the store to look at the floor sample and it looked NOTHING like what I had in my bedroom at home. Nothing like it!

After complaining to Customer Service about the poor delivery, I was told that they would send a technician out to inspect the furniture, who diligently came out a week later and all he did was touch up some of the areas of poor stain, not even all of them, and when I spoke to him, he told me that the quality of the furniture was to manufacturer’s specifications and that kids furniture was not made the same as adult furniture? When then did I pay adult prices for the furniture…

So after much complaining, RTGK said they would replace the imperfect items two weeks later after first inspecting it at the factory prior to delivery. The items came and were equally dissatisfactory as the original pieces. After more complaining, RTGK said they would send out another replacement for the furniture a week later, to the same deplorable quality and really not any sort of improvement to the terrible quality already in hand. When I send the third attempt back, Customer Service said they would not send any more replacements and that there was nothing wrong with the furniture because “the technician said so”. If you are wonder why I didn’t just get my money back, is because I had already purchased the rest of his furniture in his room to match that style and color, plus a twin and full mattress, so could not turn back at this point.

After 2 months of waiting, calls and time lost in trying to get mediocre quality replacements, RTGK Customer Service eventually offered a 10% settlement discount to keep the furniture as it – however, the caveat… “BY ACCEPTING THE 10% DISCOUNT FOR THEIR SUB-STANDARD QUALITY FURNITURE, YOU AGREE TO VOID THE REMAINDER OF THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY PERIOD (1 year). This is disgraceful Customer Service and really seems to be the store version of Bait-and-switch tactics.

I am still waiting for the agreement that I have to sign before I can get my 10% refund on their second-rate furniture, and thereby accept their junk furniture as-is from this moment on.

PLEASE, take my ordeal as a warning so that you don’t go through the same thing. It is not worth the time or effort. Their furniture is not up to any type of decent specifications and because it is kids furniture they think that they can get away with even lower standards than that. PLEASE go buy your cherished child’s furniture anywhere else by at Rooms to Go Kids.

Rooms To Go Con on extended warranty-poor quality

Furniture not delivered when promised, months late, as I see everyone else has had the same problem.

I purchased $8, 000.00 worth of furniture which included the extended warranty which the salesman, "dave bridgewater #025369" @ grapevine, tx store, told us the warranty was for the lifetime of the furniture if anything went wrong. No warranty documentation was given to us.

Come to find out, this is a total lie, after calling to get service on the cheap furniture which has not lasted two (2) years. Customer service said they would email a copy of the warranty which I still have not received.

Rooms To Go Bad customer service

Oh my God! I have never been treated the way I was treated yesterday! I just got married last month and bought a new home, and i went to buy some furniture. Well the lady that was our cashier treated me like crap she was very rude asked me if I work and make money? Ummmm duh! no i come to a store with no money you ###! I wanted to put my furniture on a roomstogo credit card, and she said "You know we do credit checks" thats fine is what i said. I have a credit score of 820 i worked my butt off to get good credit and for that woman to assume that i dont have good credit REALLLY REALLLYYY upset me! So do not shop there I will never go to that store again! Oh and not only that, the guys in the back wouldnt help with putting the furniture in the truck and would wrap up our furniture either but its cool because they will NEVER get business from me, My family or Friends!

The Cashiers name is: Leslie Carter at rooms to go outlet northrichland hills!

I ordered a bed over six weeks ago, and still have no idea when it could arrive. If ever. I have made numerous phone calls to a messaging service, which was a waste of time as it got me nowhere. These people took my number and e.mail and nobody got back to me, I will be taking legal action if my money is not refunded. The worst company I have ever come across and I would suggest that you avoid this company like THE PLAGUE. HORIFFIC.

I ordered the NFL bed set from Rooms to Go, Dec 2010 and was told the Logo had to come separate and would be shipped to me via UPS in a few days. The bed in the store has the logo on the footboard and the headboard. Well, when I received the Logo, it was only the headboard one, so I called the store. They 'ordered' the footboard logo, but because it was Christmas time it would not arrive until January. Ok, now on January 27th, I still havenot received the Logo, now Rooms to Go says my order was cancelled. They keep telling me they will call me back in hopes I will forget my order was never fulfilled. I don't see the logo everytime I go into my son's room. I am totally pissed with Rooms to Go, and NEVER want to do business again with them. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DOESNOT FULFILL YOUR ORDERS!

Bought sectional sofa. Delivery guys unwrapped it then carried it up 4 flights of stairs. Both sections were damaged. Got 1 replaced, when technician was out he noticed the second one had a hole in it. They replaced 2nd one with a display model - filthy cushions and mis-colored. Delivery guys threatened to damage it before delivering as they should only deliver to 3rd floor and did 4th floor to be nice. Then when called to complain they said they could give a minimal discount but that would void warranty. Offered a re-selection but that is no good as the delivery guys will not deliver to us as we are on 4th floor.

Went to rooms to go to buy a recliner. . . I decided on and indoor chaise that was priced $348. . . The salesman (Who had no personality or time for chit chat) writes it up and tells me over $500. . . He added on stain protection, warranty and delivery of $65. . Without even asking. ! He practically doubled the price of the chair. . .

I told him. . I don't want stain protection, I don't do warranties (They sound good but when it comes to place a claim on it. . . Lots of luck. . They find every excuse not to pay out or fix or replace) and nor will I pay for delivery when I have both a van and a truck. . He was angry takes everything off and said I have to be here Tuesday 9am as they have no room to store it, I said ok then found out he meant the following Tuesday which was 12 days away. I told him forget it and went to a thrift store and bought a chair for $30. . . Over zealous salesman was an idiot. . . His actions cost him a sale! I will look for the chair I want on Amazon or wayfair rather than ever go to rooms to go again. . .

I bought a leather couch, loveseat and recliner from Rooms to Go a couple of years ago. We started noticing tearing on the headrest of the couch. Unfortunately, the warranty only covers food stains. It doesn't cover them making a poor quality product. For the amount we spent on the set, you would expect it last more than a couple of years. Not impressed.

Because they are loading a truck with 15 to 20 Stops and 60 to 90 Pieces to delivery and assemble, so they are not delivering pizzas this is not mail service, this is furniture, and heavy furniture to second and third floors. plus they are not in the same zip code, they do this to save money on Deliveries, instead of having two trucks with decent stops (10-12) and pieces (40 to 60) they load a full truck and sometimes overload it, so drivers need to go back to warehouse and then come late to a customer house sometimes 11:00PM.

Cory Graves at Rooms to GO was helping me with a living room selection and Jamal another salesman came up to him and announced he had a guest in the showroom and he just walked away to help someone else and did not even say excuse me or nothing just left me setting their with no help, and to me that is rude and bad business. I will never go into Rooms to GO again. Cory Graves and Jamal need to have more class when helping a customer. I felt embarrassed and humiliated. This was February 9, 2009 and I hope no one ever has to be treated like that.

I ordered 10, 000 worth of furniture from Rooms to go and had one chair that they could not deliver without gashes, tears etc after four times of an attempted delivery. I accepted the other pieces furniture with issues because I figured it wasn't worth the fight. The chair was unacceptable. This would not have been as bad (i.e. I waited at home four weekends in a row at the mercy of their timeframes for a chair to arrive) but they lied to me multiple times about the chair. The worst lie was that both the manager (L) (name hidden) and director of corporate customer (KZ)(name hidden) service had talked to the delivery and warehouse manager and that they would ensure my timeframe was 7-11 am so that I could receive the chair in the early morning for the fourth weekend (since it was such an inconveience) undammaged only to find out when I called that morning to find out where they were that they HAD NEVER TALKED WITH THE DELIVERY COMPANY AT ALL. They never changed my timeframe of delivery, and hoped I would not notice. Completely unacceptable. I also called the corporate office to complain on numerous occasions and simply asked for a call back to address. My call was returned one time from a woman who ultimately was the last person over my last issue and was the person who lied to me. She gave me her number (so if I had any problems to call). Please note she isn't in and not avaialble on Saturdays (the last day of the attempted delivery). I will not only never buy another piece of furniture from rooms to go AND will tell everyone I know not to ever do it either. If they had simply been honest with me, I would have worked with them. Instead they chose to lie and treat me with the highest level of disrespect. They tried to hide behind a lie and got caught. I verified this with an associate LW (name hidden) on the phone from customer service. At least she was honest (what a simple thought-honesty). They also did not offer to do anything for me as their customer. Let me reiterate that I never asked for a discount, money back etc. All I wanted was my chair undammaged. Its sad to see companies do this to the customers, but believe me they will lose business over it. Rooms to go is the most awful company in the history of all retail I have ever dealt with!

Do not buy from Rooms To Go. Purchased girls bedroom set in March and first delivery date in June did not have the dresser and mirror and nightstand was cracked. Second delivery in august had the dresser but no mirror and did not bring replacement nightstand. Third delivery today September 24th brought the nightstand but mirror was cracked. Now they are telling us late October delivery date for the mirror. If we had known that this set was on back order and they were having probelms with delivery of complete set, we would not have purchased it. So, 7 months later and we still do not have complete bedroom set.

After waiting over 12 hours, being hung up on twice, lied to multiple times and being told I am an unreasonable customer approximately 1/2 of my furniture was delivered to my business rather than my home. Only RTG knows when or if the other 1/2 will ever arrive. I could and will never recommend this company to anybody. You get what you pay for. There's is no wonder why they can only sell on low prices. Customer service or satisfaction is of no concern to these people. Calls and or emails to their support systems go completely ignored. Don't waste time shopping there!

Rooms To Go Bad customer service

I purchased a bed and dining room set February 15, 2009. I was told that both would be delivered on February 18th. They showed up a day early to deliver the bed and dining room set. At this time I was told that they would be unable to assemble the table because it was broken. The delivery driver told me that the table would come the following day with the other 2 chairs. They should up the next day to deliver the 2 chairs, but no table. They told me someone would call me to reschedule the delivery. Two days passed and I finally called Customer Service to find out when the table would be delivered. I was told that they did not schedule anything because I did not call to request another table! They told me that the table would be delivered the following Friday (Feb 27th).

So, today is February 27th. Rooms To Go has just left my house and I still DO NOT have a table. Again, the table was broken and they were unable to assemble it. But this time, they left a piece to the table. So right now, I have 6 chairs and the base to my table sitting in the dining room!

I once again called customer service (since it is my responsiblity to request the table top). The rep told me that it would be another week before they are able to deliver the table top. I told her that I will NEVER deal with Rooms To Go again. I doubt she cared!

I recently bought two bedroom sets for my daughters and am disgusted with the overall experience I had spending almost $3, 000 with Rooms to go. The delivery/set up was not done right and pieces have been falling apart. Miserable experience dealing with customer service who remained "indifferent" to my issues. Basically told me they were sorry i was not satisfied and hoped they could help me in the future. How are they in business? I have heard muktiple stories about their bad customer service. Stay away from their Disney bed sets...rose handles break off at the slightest touch...forget about pulling your trundle bed out. The quality is sooooooo terrible.

Rooms To Go Stole from tx contractors

Rooms to go destroying local contractors. They came to houston with the direct notion to not pay. Rooms to go has destroyed several local hardworking companies; they have refused to pay for services that were rendered and have made bad on their own contract. They misrepresented themselves and have been profiting on the loss of the local construction companies. Rooms to go is now refusing to pay for the buildiings that were built in the tx area in the amount of hundresds of thousands. Rooms to go has been profiting greatly by the buildings that they have open for buisness. Buyer beware; they are affecting your local community in a very bad way.

Rooms To Go Return refusal/bad service

When you buy from rtg, everything goes smoothly in the store. But buyer beware!
In light gray small print on the back of the receipt are the store/company policies. You better hope nothing goes wrong, because you as the consumer are completely out of luck. You only have 48 hours to cancel an order, or they keep 20% of the sales price. Then if you have trouble with delivery, which you will, it is a nightmare to correct.

I feel completely scammed by this company. I haven't even taken possession of the stuff I bought and they refuse to cancel the order. I have gone all the way up the management ladder with no success. I have now put in a dispute with my credit card company, but it looks like I am out hundreds for this mistake of buying at rtg. Please don't make the same mistake as us.

Rooms To Go Poor quality and bad service

Terrible quality furniture. I purchased a top-of-the-line leather sofa and loveseat from them 3 years ago. Within a year, the leather was cracking, even though I took very good care of it. Now, the sofa has so many cracks in it that I have to throw it out. Its just too ugly to look at. The feet, made of a cheap, brittle plastic (rather than solid wood) shattered and exposed nails to my wooden floors.

Customer service (after the purchase, of course) was terrible. Sales person was rude and surly. Save yourself the headache and purchase furniture somewhere (ANYWHERE) else.

We purchased a leather recliner sofa and love seat. Within 2 years one of the recliners completely fell apart, the seats have lost their filling and the leather has cracked horribly in between the seats. The worst investment we have ever made!

Rooms To Go Furniture

Do not shop there! They sell overpriced, low quality furniture. I bought a leather sofa and love seat from them 3 years ago. I've taken very good care of both (used the leather conditioner regularly, kept out of direct sunlight), but within a year, the leather was beginning to split and paint was peeling off! Also, the feet are made of a cheap, brittle plastic (rather than solid wood) which cracked and shattered, exposing the nails holding the feet to the bottom of the sofa. This scratched up my wood floors.

The service was equally terrible. The sales person was nice and friendly before I purchased the furniture, but rude and dismissive after. Save yourself the headache and buy better furniture somewhere else!

I had over $4, 450 worth of furniture delivered this morning. Within 1/2 hour, I started to call because I found 4 nicks in one of the end tables! It6 is now 8 hours later. I have tried calling numerous times and have been put on hold! I even left a return phone number three times. When I finally reached a sales rep., she wanted to send my call again to customer service! I was, yet again, put on hold . This handling of business is ridiculous. Walk into a store and they fight over you for the commission. Once they have the money, you CAN NOT get any help!

I bought a living room set from rooms to go over a year ago. the day that the furniture was delivered, the delivery guys broke a pin in the back of my loveseat. They told me that rooms to go could have some one out to fix it within a week. A week went by and nothing. I have since had their repair guys out several times to fix stitching on that same love seat. Each and every time, I have had one of their repair persons in my home, the pin was discussed. I was told that they had ordered a part and it was back order until July. Then once July ad come and gone with no part, I contacted their customer service again only to discover that they were telling me that I was in the extended warranty period now and it was not their problem. Meanwhile the extended warranty group is telling me that they won't cover it because it was a problem prior to the extended warranty period. I am sick to death of their horrible customer service and run around.

STAY AWAY FROM ROOMS TO GO! RIPOFF!
Attempted to purchase a mattress set. Salesman placed the wrong one on the invoice. (A MORE EXPENSIVE set that DID NOT come with the FREE TV...coincidence or bait and switch? You be the judge.) Turned out the one I wanted actually doesn't exist in the style I needed. First, tried to blame me, saying I'd changed my mind. Not! Second, tried to say the price tags had been switched. Also not! My debit card was charged for the deposit before the mistake was noticed. They acted like I was hassling them by needing my money back for THE PRODUCT I DIDN'T BUY (or want in the first place). And we're not talking chump change. Hundreds of dollars. Instead of crediting my card immediately, or issuing me cash or a check, they said I had to wait for a refund check from their corporate office. They take my money for nothing, for THEIR mistake, and refuse to return it for WEEKS. Gave me all this bogus spiel about "there's nothing else we can do, this is our refund policy". First of all, it wasn't a REFUND. I didn't change my mind. It was a credit issued for THEIR MISTAKE. Second, there were plenty of things they COULD have done, but they REFUSED to do anything else. And get this...here's the icing on the cake...I was charged a processing fee. THEY CHARGED ME A FEE TO TAKE MY MONEY AND HOLD IT FOR WEEKS. I had a line of credit with them and had intended to use it on other furniture. Closed the account and I'll never step foot in one of their stores again. Don't take my word for how awful they are. Read the other complaints here and at all the other sites. You'll find hundreds, all saying more or less the same thing: Rooms to Go will rip you off, they'll give you crappy service and crappy products, and they just don't care. Wish I'd read all the reviews before I went there. Oh, and if you see a response from them saying "We're sorry to hear about...please contact us at..." don't buy into that, either. It's a form response just to make it look like they care. The email address they say to use for resolution? It's the one I DID use. Dang sure didn't resolve anything for me! JUST STAY AWAY!

DO NOT SHOP AT ROOM TO GO (BayBrook Mall)!
Customer Service was horrible and rude. I bought a set of sofa and love seat, I waited for a week to be delivered, the delivery poeple showed up late and one piece has all scratch up so they have to take it back. they made me call customer Service to schedule another delivery date which will take another the week. The love seat that I received look kinda awkward in my living room and since they will have to come back to my house again for the sofa so I was thinking that I wanted to exchange for a different style. The next day I went to the Room To Go store and talked to the manager to explain my situation and she rudely replied "you bought it you have to live with it, no exchange". I have referred a lot of my friends and family members purchase their funitures there and this is how they treat their loyal customers. i will try to call their corporate office and talk to the president of that company.

BEWARE WHEN YOU SHOP AT ROOM TO GO! PERSONALLY I WILL NEVER STEP MY FOOT IN THERE AGAIN.

I completely agree with this. I had the same experience. Purchased a Nature's Sleep mattress from Rooms To Go and, a few days after, my son had an allergic reaaction to it. After several arguments with the store manager, I was told that I could exchange the mattress and there would be a 20% restocking fee, plus a $50.00 delivery fee for them to pickup the mattress. I told them I would deliver the mattress myself to the store, and I was told that I couldn't do that.

Be careful if you purchase from them, as it seems everything is a "Final Sale"

You are holding Rooms To Go accountable for the problem but all they did was sell you the mattress. You really should go after the manufacturer of the product rather than its vendor. I admit myself that Rooms To Go sells some flimsy furniture that is way overpriced but still there is a certian point in time that the vendor's responsibility becomes obsolete and the manufacturer is the accountable party.

we purchased a latex mattress from rooms to go less than a year ago. several moths ago i began to notice a hump in the center. we are not heavy people so that cant be the problem. it became so severe that i had to place a pillow between the mattress and the box spring to try and off set the slump. we paid over $1800 for the set and felt it should last at the very least a few years (the "warranty" states 20 years). we called customer service and they seemed friendly enough and suggested that the mattress would be exchanged, we simply had to have a rep come out to document the problem. the rep did come out, measured the "body impression" on both sides and said that we would hear from customer service within 5 days. they waited the full 5 days to respond, and told us that the 1 1/2" impressions were "normal wear and tear". if we weighed 300+ pounds or used the bed as a trampoline, i may have agreed with them. however, since neither is the case i insisted they sent another person out. well, he just left, and in less than a month the "body impressions" have sunk another 1/2" and is now TWO inches on either side. the hump in the middle is visible to the naked eye. we shall see if rooms to go stands behind their products...

Rooms To Go Terrible employee

I recently purchased a sectional sofa from Rooms To Go @ Willowbrook - Houston. When I asked to exchange a few pieces because they were too large for my room, they were decent about making a trade for an equal or greater amount. My sales rep, Renee, was wonderful. She spent approx. 2 hours helping me choose furniture to make up the difference. The problem was a young woman from the office that Renee had asked for assistance in managing my account. This woman was so rude and condescending to Renee, it shocked me! I couldn't believe how unprofessional she acted and also can't understand why Rooms To Go doesn't offer more training on how to be more effective in customer service (let alone hiring such a disrespectful, know it all.) I don't see a very long future for this company. To Renee, you deserve so much better and are an excellent sales person. I am so sorry I didn't speak up for you at the time. I plan on correcting the situation tomorrow.

That is not only a bad in Houston. I called many times asking to speak with a manager to explain why I am complaining about they irresponsibility to accomplish a contract, but a person calls Claudia was unavailable to find any body that could talk with me and also she said that they don't have anybody that speak Spanish over there, and I am not asking for anyone that speak that language. They are terrible.

Rooms To Go Fraud and scam

Did you know that you can write a letter to the attorney general's office in your state and make your complaint to someone who can actually help you. This website is a joke, where's the part of this site where rooms to go actually makes good on any of these complaints? is this just a website to vent and that's it. write the letter to your attorney general's office, do it professionally and don't use profanity. They will get rooms to go off their butts and stop taking advantage of consumers. I was going to buy a living room sectional from rooms to go but this is to many complaints for comfort. They must not care about quality. If some of you would stand up for your rights they might stop ripping you off. Also, how about going on line and letting that model lady know about your complaints she probably doesn't even know what a bad deal you got. she probably doesn't shop rooms to go.

Rooms To Go does suck! I work there and know firsthand what a bunch of creeps run the business...sorry economy we're in..I wouldn't be working there if I could find something better. If I could afford a billboard to advertise just how much they suck...sorry to all the people who have experienced the horror that Rooms To Go has to offer. I just wish that every time I had to call a customer because the driver is running late...not meeting the deadline the salesperson promised...I wasn't cussed out! Believe me, us little people have no control over what is going on at that level. You can thank all the higher up's for their high expectations. Seriously, they put more work on these guys than is humanly possible...$$$$$$$...yeah, they can do it...not so much...good old bottom line...they don't seem to understand for every million coming in, they're losing the equivalent in customers who are so extremely dissatisfied, not to mention, spreading the word about their experience.

Rooms To Go Poor service and quality

I have had to worse problems with this company. I purchased an entertainment center and a dresser from them about six weeks ago. The entertainment center was delivered first. It had scratches all over it for which the delivery drivers tried to hid by using a scratch coverup. I have seen coverup used in the past and it works fine on small scratches, not gouges! One of the drawers in the unit was visibly damaged and leaning over. The rubber piping that held the glass doors in was put in so haphazardly, it could be seen from the outside of the doors. They replaced the unit and it is not much better than the last one. For one the finish is much darker and there are more gouges. One of the doors is warped. They stated they would send another by UPS. I still have not seen it.

When my dresser finally arrived, about four or five weeks after my order, it was worse. The first thing I noticed is that the hardware for the drawers was put on backwards (the pulls were inside the drawers), although not a big deal, they should have fixed them upon delivery. This item also had scratches, some they did not even try to cover up. The space between the drawers and the frame of the dresser were so large, I could see all the way down to my carpet. It was poorly constructed and not of the same quality as the one on their showroom floor. Seems to be their practice as I have read the same complaint in from others. I called their customer service center and requested that the item be returned. I was told they would only issue me a store credit. Their receipt states nothing about no returns, nor is that policy posted in their stores. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and will hopefully be successful in getting my money back. Be wearly when making a purchase from Rooms to Go. Ask about their return policy if you are not satisfied. I will not be back.

I bought my bedroom suit from Rooms to Go. They delivered my bed and told me I would have to wait on my dresser. Now the sales guy promised everything at once, but the delivery guy told me in confidence this happens a lot. I then had to take another day off work to get my dresser and night stands delivered...except there were no night stands. I have now been waiting on my night stand for 4 months and tonight they were going to deliver them between 4 and 8 pm but I just got a call at 8:50 pm that they wont be able to make the delivery I will have to reschedule! This is ridiculous. I would encourage anyone who in thinking of buying furniture from this company to run! They are rude, and once they get your money there are no returns so if they deliver your bed and you have to wait a year for your dresser and night stands if you want them to match you have to wait. They have a no return policy! What happen to customer service?

I went into room to go in March and still today in June I have not received my complete order. Two times they delivered the wrong lamps and the media chest has been on back order since March. Each time it was to be delivered a customer service representative would call the day before and tell me the order is not in. this has been a true nightmare with rooms to go. They are not honest with their sales and don't correct their mistakes. I will never shop their again! And everybody that mention rooms to go I tell them not to shop their!

CONSUMER BEWARE!

I purchased some furniture with Rooms To Go and used their offer of 12 months no interest program. This program is through Citi Financial. If you do not pay off the balance by the 12 month due day then they charge you accrued interest. I sent my balance off to them of $2199.98 a week an a half before the due day. I did this so the check would clear in time. I called to find that they had only posted $2099.98 to my account leaving a balance of $100. I do believe the reason behind this is so they could "TRY" and collect interest on the full balance. I have dealt with this company in the past and have gone though similar problems. I am so glad I called and checked the balance or I might have had to go postal. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS INSTITUTION!

Rooms To Go Scam and cheating

Made a 2 room purchase on july 5th. Now september 17th and still have yet to receive delivery on the sofa or dining table. They delivered the first dining table and it was broken. Tried to get me to "just keep it until we sort it out". Sent it back. 3 weeks later they deliver another table, it is broken also and in addition has the wrong table top.

Say they will have it and the sofa in another three weeks. Tomorrow is the delivery date and today they tell me the sofa will maybe be ready in another 30 days and the hope the table doesn't fall apart this time. Customer service says call the store. Store manager will not speak to me. His salesman lackey tells me I need to talk to customer service. They played this game of putting me on hold while they talked to the manager repeatedly but I cannot speak to the manager. He is busy with customers. What am i?

No one will authorize a complete return. They want me to "reselect" furniture that may or may not match the partial pieces I have now.

Furniture not delivered when promised, as I see everyone else has had the same problem.

Rooms To Go Don't deal with them

I had a delivery of a Hutch on 8/30 and the top section had a lot of damage (base broke glass shelves broke, glass in door scraped.) to it so we contacted the service department and they stated it would be delivered on 9/4. I asked why I had to wait so long it was not my fault.

I contacted the store located in Brentwood, TN off of Mores Lane and spoke with the sales person that took care of are sale (Larry). I wanted to know why I have to wait until Thursday because of there carelessness. He stated there wasn't anything he could do and asked if I would like to speak with the Manager and I said yes.

He stated that the manager would call me right away. I have not received a call yet from the manager, so I went there this morning to talk to the manager and they said he was out. This tells me they don't care about the customer and there is no customer service. I will wait until Thursday.

I will not do business with Rooms To Go any more and I also will let every one I know about your service.

On 4/2/09 I went buy to Rooms To Go in Houston Texas (Willowbrook Area). I was also ripped off and lied to by Rooms To Go. I cancelled my order within 10 hours of attempting to purchase a living room set. I gave $500.00 down pament with a personal check. I had adviced the sales person that i had recently bought a new house and at the time of the purchase i did not have my current new address. He told me it would be okay for me to call him as soon as I got home and for me to call in my new address. Well when I did as told I was being told that they would have to charge me an extra fee for change of address. When I asked to speak to the manager, Chris was very rude. He told me a different reason for the extra fee...He said it was because the delivery had different taxes...I told him this was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. Taxes are all the same in Texas! So I cancelled my order and I was told my personal check would be returned to me immediately. I told them I lived one block away from them and I said I would pick up my personal check or put a stop payment on it...Rooms to go assured me that i did not have go through all that trouble... I trusted these people... WAS I WRONG... They cased my personal check... AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 30 days until i get my $500.00 dollars back... WORD OF ADVICE DONT TRUST "ROOMS TO GO." And when i attempted to call the Manager Chris...he is refusing to accept my phone calls.!

Rooms To Go Damaged freight - delayed delivery

Where should I start. I purchased a new twin bed with trundle and 8 drawer dresser with mirror for my 13 yr old at RTG Kids. The I purchased a dresser, 2 night stands and a mirror for MY room in the Adult section. First of all they charged me 2 different delivery charges because "they are 2 different stores under one roof". $170.00 total and I was told they had to do that because they would have to be delivered on separate trucks. (Mind you I paid for express delivery so I could get it on Monday) Well... they came on 1 truck. Fine. I'm still hashing that one out. I get home that evening and inspect the furniture and it has HUGE dents, gouges, scratches, some greasy marks that can't wipe off etc. I called the next day to complain. (I didn't pay for scratch and dent so I don't EXPECT scratch and dent). They tell me they can come and exchange the stuff but won't be able to make the delivery until Aug 26 between 3PM and 7PM. They called to confirm around 4PM saying that they were delayed a little bit and would be there around 6:30 to 7:30PM. I never heard a thing from them so around 9:30 I got my daughter to be and went to bed myself. To my shock and amazement I am awakened by a phone call at 10:45PM and it's the delivery driver telling me he's out front. Mind you I have to be up at 5AM to get myself and my daughter ready for school and work (much like MOST normal working class families) so I told him to take the furniture and drive it up his rear or back to the warehouse it was his choice.

Well... I call the [protected] number today to complain, YET AGAIN and was told the NEXT nearest available delivery would not be until Sept 6. I argued a little about that and they finally were able to give me a delivery appointment of Sept 2. When I asked what they were going to do about compensating me for the time I've had to miss work making the appointments I was told they would not refund the delivery charges until I received my replacement furniture and was "satisfied with the purchase". Again... remember... I paid 2 delivery charges when all the pieces arrived on 1 truck. I am appalled by the HORRIBLE service I have gotten from Rooms to go!

We ordered A Cindy Crawford Bedroom set from Rooms To Go back in MAY of this year 2008. We have had 3 deliveries total and still not satisfied!

I spoke with the Rep and told her I wanted the Media Chest replaced IN A BOX like the original. “Sure” she said.
Well, NO! It came “bubbled wrapped.” And YES the item was damaged AGAIN.

I patiently spoke again with another REP and made the same request. Please send the item in IN A BOX like the original, this time the item came wrapped in a moving blanket in the corner of the truck. Ironically I live 5 minutes from their Distribution Center.

There was 1 nighttable where the drawer didn’t close. They replaced that one and it was somewhat satisfactory.
I also purchased a “Mosquito Net” that accompanies the Bed Set and it was mis-stitched by the factory, they said a technician had to come to the home and look at it. He said it was defective and we have yet received the item.

One bedpost seems to have termites or some kind of insect because there was dust accumulating in a specific area.
And we DON”T have termites. The sawdust was coming from the inside of the closed and sealed post. They have yet to send out a tech.

Is Cindy Crawford aware of what is happening with the furniture that’s promoting her name?

I am beginning to think that they are taking items from their “Damaged Warehouse” and resending the same patched-up damaged items to other customers.

The Customer Service rep are not friendly if you have a complaint after another.
I left a message to speak with a Manager and I am still waiting.
While I wait I will speak with the store manager.

Geez. Don't ever buy from these people by visiting the showroom floor, it is a waste of time. They have NONE of their products in stock, we looked at multiple items and asked "how soon can we get this?" and everything was 6 to 8 weeks out. It has been 8 weeks since I ordered the furniture, and today I received a call that my delivery is still 2 weeks away!...
