Pick n Pay Customer service at the deli

Dear Customer Service Manager,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my concerns regarding the level of service I have experienced during recent visits to your store, which I hold in high regard.

While I appreciate the efforts of your dedicated staff, I have noticed instances of slower service in certain areas, particularly at the Deli counter e.g 2 workers serving 1 person on a Friday ,it does not matter if the order was big . I understand that there may be various factors contributing to this issue, such as high demand or staffing challenges, and I believe there's room for improvement.

I would like to emphasize the importance of providing efficient and timely service to customers, as it greatly enhances the overall shopping experience. Customers often have busy schedules, and prompt service is a key factor in their satisfaction.

I suggest considering measures to improve service speed, such as optimizing staffing levels during peak hours or implementing better training programs. Additionally, fostering a positive work environment that supports and empowers all employees, regardless of their age, can contribute to a more efficient and harmonious workplace.

I believe that addressing these concerns will help maintain the excellent reputation that Pick 'n Pay has earned over the years. I look forward to seeing improvements in the future and continuing to be a loyal customer.

Pick n Pay Service

I waited almost 20min for the chefs to help me wit a slice of cake ,as I arrived at the cake window I found 2customes who were also standing there for service,they were helped after 5min,after them I waited for someone to help me ,the colleagues continued to chat ,a gentleman approached and they continued chatting wit him n helping him,I was still right there at the cake window still standing,they continued to help the gentleman which I believed he is their colleague who jst knocked off judging from their conversation,after a while that gentleman says to those ladies " u forgot to help this lady" n they started asking which lady,by that time I was already fed ,I left the store ,can

Pick n Pay Meat

Today I went to Pick n Pay hyper in Durban North and bought lamb chops and oxtail when we opened up the chops to packet and freeze it smelled off I took it back and they refunded me. I then opened the oxtail tonight to cook and it smelled a bit funny but decided to cook it and see when cooked we tasted it and it was also off I am now very wary to buy meat from Pick n pay

Pick n Pay Service

At around 10:50am today 09/09/2023 I went to do groceries at Pick n Pay hyper Maponya mall when I was about to pay at the till point and asked the lady if I can withdraw some money and also my payment is partially Motyme credit then the outstanding balance is cash she said she has no cash in the mornings then we proceeded with the transaction she then said to me her Motyme payment option is offline, she then stood up to call the manager her name is Ursulla a colored lady which she came to the till and just rudely told me the motyme is of no use at Pick n Pay groceries u can only use Motyme for appliances which this totally led me to leave all items I was about to purchase.

Tymebank is yet to confirm this with me but I feel this is very bad service from the till lady and the manager which embarrassed me completely

Pick n Pay Stolen cellphone from Pick n Pay Vosloorus lotto counter, on 1 September 2023 at 12.10pm

Good Day!

I forgot my cellphone at Vosloorus Pick n Pay on 1st September 2023 at 12.10pm in the afternoon. When got to my car I realised that I left my phone at the lotto counter, where I only played lotto, and when I went back to enquire, my cellphone was gone. I went back to the store on 3 September 2023, and requested the manager in charge to check CCTV video footage from their cameras. He dilly dallied and told me that the cameras are somehow not working. I

Pick n Pay Cash back

Whenever I am at Pick n Pay liquor @Philippi Junction Mall to ask for cash back I am told that in order to get cash back I must purchase something, if I remember correctly I think this started about 3 months back(on my experience). The first day I encountered this I was in a rush and I didn’t really put it in my head but now it is becoming a norm because everytime I go there for cash back I am told that I need to purchase something and then I can be assisted. This takes place at Pick n Pay liquor store not the grocery one, in my knowledge, as a customer of Pick n Pay I am eligible to get cash back at any Pick n Pay till that has the money I need available, it can be at the kiosk, liquor store or grocery tills. Another recent event which occurred right before the end of July, I went to the liquor store to get money that was sent via Capitec Cash Send and I was told it is not done at the liquor store which became a big shock to me because I have never experienced such from any other Pick n Pay branches but this one. Please speak to your staff or you will lose valuable customers because this is very unprofessional of them. What I would like is a statement on the entrance indicating that we as the customers of your establishment are allowed to get cash sends or cash back at the liquor tills without being told that we need to purchase something first or that the services I am asking for are not done at a liquor store, so that I can be comfortable in you rendering these services to your customers as it should be. I am a very unhappy customer as this has occurred to me in several occasions now.

Desired outcome: What I would like is a statement on the entrance indicating that we as the customers of your establishment are allowed to get cash sends or cash back at the liquor tills without being told otherwise.

Pick n Pay Order not received

I ordered huggies(nappies) for my baby. The time was 16:15, til 20:00, my order is not here. My baby run out of nappies, the money already went out of my account, now I don't have money to buy else where, and my order is not being delivered. It has been saying waiting for the driver to pick up. I'm really not happy cause my baby has no diapers to wear now. I have been calling and emailing with no response.

Pick n Pay Charges at till is always higher then marked up

Almost every week I have to check price charged at till to what is displayed on product. This week it was tomatos on special for R8. At till charged original price if R21,99

Last week it was cream cheese charged R42,99 at till, was labelled R39,99. When I complained they said it's the merchandiser fault. Shocking to blame someone else.

This is a strategy of PNP to charge more at the till as 99% of people never check

Desired outcome: PNP to fix this for the sack of all South Africans that shop there.

Pick n Pay Harrassment

i have been followed by one of the pick n pay store in Moruleng mall from last year and i have reported the matter to the mall office and there was no follow up done, i was not contacted and nothing changed. I went to the store yesterday and asked for a manager to lay a complint about the same person and i was not sertisfied about how the matter was handled as only my contacts, names and place i live were recorded, but the statement was not. I am not free dooing shopping at pick n pay because of this, i have to be accompanied by someone in order to do shopping and if there is no one, i have to make a quick inand out shopping to avoid feeling uncorfortable. I have raised the issue with the same person i am complaining about, asking him what is it that i have done to him and what do i owe him, because i can see he is following me, i am in desperate need of help for this person to stop what he is doing. a footage of yesterday and other previous months can be requested from the mall to support this. The person i am complaining about is a trolley worker, everytime i arrive at the mall, he just comes straight to my car and he makes sure that he stalks/escort me to the mall until i fininsh shoping.

Desired outcome: please attend to these situation, i also want to be a free person, able to do my shopping like everyone else.

If I could rate it zero I would order items yesterday afternoon and still never recieve items better to use checkers 60 because there delivery is always on time never a time where you delivered on time I could not make supper because of your incompetence Call centre is useless you would end up wasting all your airtime before speaking to anymore No point emailing because of no response Can't cancel your order on the app Worst service ever

Pick n Pay On Sunday afternoon I forgot my shoes.

On Sunday afternoon the 20th of August,I forgot my black shoes at the parcel,and bought some groceries and left the shop and later remembered.On Tuesday the 22nd I went to collect them and was told I must pay a storage amount of 60 rand sadly I didn't have that amount the manager told me to come back when I have the money, yesterday I sent my sister blas she was going to town and was sent back and told I must come myself and the shoes are not there anymore,today again I am going myself hoping to get them back.

Pick n Pay False promotion or advertising

My name is Nosipho and I went to Umlazi Mega City Pick Pick n pay on the 23rd of August 2023. When I got there. There three promotion posters for a fruits combo so I grabbed it under the impression that it is is a good deal. When I went for the vegetable combo I asked for the green paper that was included on the poster but the store assistant said "if it is not there it means it is out of stock" and she rudely rolled her eyes at me. When I went to other parts of the store there were many items that were meant to be on promotion but were tagged as out of stock. When I got to the till to pay the casheir said the fruits combo promo deal will only start in two days on the 25th of August 2023 but they had already laid out the posters with no specific date. This is not the first time, they are known for not having special offers that are advertised on the provincial catalogue and when you ask they don't even explain why they don't have the promotion. I am highly disappointed because they normally have good service in other areas.

Pick n Pay Queueing at kiosk

Good day

My name is Lloyd and i am working at woolworths Brentwood park

Please correct me if i am wrong,i was at pnp Brentwood park i am buying cigarettes there everyday because i am working at the mall

Today i was there and there was a long queue people paying their items at kiosk so i jumped the queue went to the front ask the cashier to help me she said to me i have to join the queue she cant help me

I mean pnp has tills for groceries and those other items

Why do i have to queue the long queue just for pack of cigarettes

When you make kiosk isn't for us smokers to get our fix fast and easy? Was so disappointed even the pay point controller came and she was so rude together with her till operator telling me what so special about me that i dont have to queue

I should join the queue just like the rest of the customer

No other pnp kiosk ever told me to queue

Lakeside benoni Mayfield square daveyton mall i can name them they never told me to queue for a pack of cigarettes

I am so disappointed and frustrated

All i needed was 20 Peter Stuyvesant Red Hard pack and my money ddnt even need a change

Pick n Pay Pies

I bought pies at Farrarmere pick n pay on 22nd August 2023 at about 11am. I could not choose the chicken mayo as they were burnt around the top edges. Wheny mom proceeded to eat her pepper steak pie when I got home it had hardly any meat in it. It was almost devoid of any filling. My mom also said it was not fresh tasting. I attempted to email Farrarmere Pick n Pay to complain and their email listed on the web is incorrect. As an ex journalist I find this bad service for those prices unacceptable as it is clearly the I don't care attitude. I expect some form of response as it needs to be addressed.

Desired outcome: I would like Farrarmere pick n pay to correct their email address online so that we can complain directly 'in wiritng' about their sub standard pies that are not worth the buy.

Pick n Pay False advertising

During my purchase at Pick n Pay I received with my till slip a smart shopper voucher for "25% off Flying Fish pressed lemon NRB 330ml" valid from 01/08/2023 to 13/08/2023.

Today I went to my local Pick n Pay store (Brentwood Park) and bought one case of Flying Fish pressed lemon NRB 330ml.

The management then did not want to give me the 25% off as promised on the voucher and said that it was only applicable if you buy one bottle of Flying Fish pressed lemon NRB 330ml.

It must be noted that on the voucher there is no quantity specified therefore it is open for each one's interpretation.

If it only applicable to one bottle the following must be noted.

The vast majority of people buy beer in a six pack, a dozen or a case.

It is therefore out of the ordinary to have the voucher applicable to one bottle as no quantity is specified, and is therefore in my opinio false advertering.

Desired outcome: I should receive the 25% discount on the R 284.99 that I paid.The discount can be refunded to me on my smart shopper card.([protected])

Pick n Pay Service

Every weekend pick n pay ques are ridiculous.

Spar Ques are just as long but goes way quicker

Diesel has gone up and unfortunately pnp is the closest to me but every weekend you stand 20min to 30 min in the que.

While staff walks up and down laughing

When asking the manager he says no those staff is on Training and doesn't belong to this branch !

Pick n Pay Pork steaks

On Wednesday 2nd August my fiance bought 3x pkt of pork steaks each pack valued at R73.00 each. Yesterday we had a small braai and ut it onto the coals. After a few minutes my fiance called me questioning me do I get that smell and it was 4 of the steaks that had a stinge to it, very unpleasant smell. As a loyal customer I am very disappointed bec I always purchase my goodies at pnp.

Respect sir

Your staff member he's name is Malnga trolley fetching.

Your staff is an cheater because I'm selling phone samsung A70 2nd hand price is R2500 but your staff member Malnga is pay only R1400 and he was say me i give you your remaining balance end of the July but right now your staff member is not picking up my call and is also not give me remaining balance.

Shame on your management because you keep cheap person for the jobs.

Pick n Pay Defy washing machine

I bought a Defy top loader washing machine at PnP Maponya Mall. They delivered the washing machine without pipes and I called them to notify them about this. A week later there was still no communication and I had to contact the driver. The lady who helped me was Zinhle and she said she just forgot about it. That was very unprofessional , please train your staff to be more professional.

Pick n Pay Ginger biscuits

On the 2/7/2023 i bought some ginger biscuits on your special, 2 @ R21.99 came to R43.98 less discount R13.98 which is two for R15.00 each.

On the 4/7/2023 i go back to buy some more, The same special is on but I am now told 3 for 2.

This is how it breaks down. 3 @ R20.99 (price now R2.00 less) = R62.97 less R20.99 = R41.98 for 2 plus 1 free. Divide this by 3 you pay R13.99 (R14).

So effectively you are only getting it cheaper by R1.00.

I am not happy with this.
