We turned up to pick the car up and they initially had no record of us having paid. Once i'd shown proof on my phone they agree to the booking. The company then put lots of pressure on us to take out the extra cover because Romanians don't care and are wreckless. The extra was more than we wanted to pay. We sat and talked about our options and asked about taxis and were were told they are too dangerous here and we couldn't trust them. It was quite scary. The rental place isn't near anything so we felt quite isolated. In the end as it was feeling dodgy and uncomfortable we left.
I booked an uber and on the way to the hotel I reviewed all the documents. I then saw at the bottom of the email I had the extra insurance already and i'd paid for it. We called the rental place straight away to ask them if we could pick up the car the next day. They said no. We said okay we will turn around and come now. 30 mins after we left. They said no we had broken our agreement.
We left it as we didn't want to argue with the intimidating people. I got in contact with Opodo to explain what happened. I received an email from Opodo on the 26th of September asking for a credit card, bank statement and flight details. This felt extremely uncomfortable so I sent them the flight details and asked why they needed the credit card as we didn't even get that far in the process. No hold was taken or card presented. I emailed and asked why the needed this so I could understand before sending it off.
On the 4th of October they replied the same thing. I again asked why. I also asked who they were regulated by so I could raise my concerns about the asking of card details from what I understand is unnecessary as these were not presented. I then chased for an answer on the 9th of October and have still heard nothing.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund and the car company to be looked into. The pressure put on us was very uncomfortable and intimidating in a foreign country.
Charges for flight change
I needed to travel to Germany, but, within 2 hours, had to change the dates. I had just signed up for Opodo Prime service, and was told that there was a charge of around £25 for a change. I was not informed that I would have to buy a new flight, but only pay the different. I tried to do that change online, as I had once done with another airline, to be told that I had to wait for over 24 hours for them to 'decide' that I could change the flight. During my conversation with the woman helping me, she told me prices of flights. I understood that to mean just as I had had in other cirumstances, to pay the difference and the charge. I told her to book the flight and she did but then, I discovered that I had simply been charged for a new flight. I have been in touch with them. They said they listened to the calls, and that I had understood what they were doing. I asked for the calls to be sent to me. They did so - but did not provide a code so that I could listen. I know exactly how much the flights were the moment I wanted to change, and it would not have added up to the amount they charged me. I feel they were obsfucating and were not being clear and honest. I would not have changed the flight had I been given all of that information BEFORE the fact.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for that 2nd flight.
Rent a car
Opodo gave me wrong prices.. refuse to refund!
I used opodo to rent a car for 6 day 2 - 8 Oct 2023 from Beirut airport. Before paying I read all the terms and conditions and made sure there was no hidden fees or surprises. At the collection counter the agent told me that I need to pay USD 20.00 extra as "airport tax" I paid because I had no other choice. However I kept all the documents to file a complain and refund the money. I revised the booking voucher again and made sure that it's mentioning that all taxes are included. When I complained opodo representative simply said we can refund you anything it's from the supplier. What the point of making a booking from opodo if you are not going to insure that your customer is getting the right price. What if the supplier asked for a $ 200 extra...opodo won't do anything also.
I travel alot and I use alot of online services these things happens some suppliers try to take advantage of you hen you don't have other options.. but I have got many refunds from many booking sites that protects there customers but apparently oposo doesn't really care.
Desired outcome: A refund and compensation

I did not book or buy any ticket from you. The only time I bought a ticket from you was at Stansted Airport to travel one way to Stockholm. I paid SEK 646 and it shows it has paid on 4th September, 2023. I am surprised that on 7th October, 2023 you deducted SEK 950 from my Bank Account in Sweden. Why? What was that money for? I did not intend to travel again, I am home in Sweden.
I have contacted my Bank about this and they advised me to report this matter to the Police.
If you deducted money from my bank account by mistake, please pay it back immediately so that the matter can be settled.

Refund Subscription for Opodo Prime £59.99
Opodo Prime took £59.99 out of my bank (processed date 04/10/23) I informed my bank that i did not authorise this that I had cancelled it in 2022. They have instructed me to inform you that there is an on going dispute in process. Therefore once again I would like to cancel any subscriptions fo Opodo Prime found on your system and the money put back into my account. I would also ask that you do not try and take money out of my bank in the futre without my consent. Thank you,

Subscription charge
I mistakenly tried a free trial of Opodo Prime last year. Did not intend to sign up but somehow managed to by mistake. I can not remember the exact date but it was either June or July 2022. Once I realised that I had signed up I immediately cancelled within the free trial period.
My company credit card has been charged £59.99 on 15/08/23.
This should not have been charged.
I have the written transcript from the cancellation last year within free trial period, which is attached below.
Desired outcome: Refund company credit card £59.99 and remove all GDPR data held on file for myself. Opodo should not have charged me this fee for subscription. All details, credit card etc, should be deleted by them.
Airline ticket
Bought today a return ticket from Barcelona to London and when I was checking-in with Vouling they said there was nothing in their system.
This is ridiculous! I must be home tonight, but now I have to wait until tomorrow morning. Also I have to pay for a hotel.

Cancelled flights
I booked 4 flights with opodo and paid by credit card. 5 weeks later the airline cancelled my flights. After 5 days they said they had refunded the card used to book the flights , I contacted opedo they said I had to wait 30 days for my refund. I then emailed again and was told I would get my refund, less a booking fee off £250 within 10 days but it’s been almost 3 weeks and they have not refunded me or responded to my emails. I’m having to pay for a service I have not been able to use, through no fault of my own. My booking number is [protected]. They have never once contacted me to tell me the flights had been cancelled or offered any help. I’m now not only out of pocket I have no holiday either and Paying credit card fees for nothing. Systems issues preventing me cancelling my account
Again, I have been trying to cancel the Opodo account. To do this, I need to login but the login isn't working. I requested "Forgot your password?" at least a dozen times and no link has come through.
The BOT is useless
The email address for the company bounces
The phone number does not connect
The call centre will not take calls
Appalling!
All I am trying to do is a simple cancellation but there is no way to reach the company and it is clear that their systems have problems, which have nothing to do with me.

Flight & hotel booking
July 2023 Booked flights and hotel through Opodo.
Flights were cancelled (Supposedly by the airline).
Airline offered an unsuitable alternative that I declined.
Opodo told me they found me another suitable flight which never materialised.
I lost my trip, my hotel, my money for both flights and the hotel booking,
Opodo said I would get my money back within 30 days. This was in early July.
It is now late September - I still get their annoying adverts but never any information about my refunds.

I booked return flight tickets with Opodo from Manchester UK to Adelaide Australia to visit my son and his family as far back as 2020 to fly to Australia on the 5th January 2021.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic the flights were officially cancelled by Qatar Airways. I applied for and received Transport Credit Vouchers from Qatar Airways to enable me to book flights at a later date when the pandemic was over.
After almost a year the pandemic was still ongoing and Australia had a curfew on flights only allowing Nationals in and out of the country, I applied for a refund through the official Opodo website, I received emails telling me my refund was being processed, I contacted Opodo again by telephone and they stated my refund would be returned shortly.
I then received an email from Opodo stating that my flight fares were non refundable? I then contacted Qatar Airways who told me that was nonsense and directly sent me new Transportation Credit Vouchers clearly stating on the vouchers that the fares were refundable.
I have tried on numerous occasions to rebook flights with my vouchers but when I call Opodo they are telling me to contact Qatar Airways and when I contact Qatar Airways they are telling me I must book through the travel Agent I originally booked with.
I spoke with Qatar airways yesterday and they confirmed and reassured me that the travel vouchers were still valid.
I have kept ALL of the emails and correspondence between myself Opodo and Qatar airways,
I have also spoken to the financial Ombudsman who advised me to contact Opodo again to try to resolve the problem which I have done but still in the same position of not being able to book new flights.
I have confirmation of flight cancellation sent by email from Qatar airways and email from Opodo telling me my fares were non refundable but cannot attach them as the files are too large. I can forward all correspondence from both parties by email,

Booked flights with Opodo sent money immediately. Received an email the follows day stating flights not available offering a 24 hour alternative for a 7 hour fligh, the second flight out of 3 not available at all t. I rejected this and was told the original flights were not available at that price quoted so I cancelled and was sent an email stating refund approved. Some weeks later no refund. In the meantime booked through Booking.com the exact same flights at the same price Opodo was quoting originally and have since used those flights. Opodo seem extremely disorganised and dishonest. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Opodo Prime just took money of my bank account for their membership fee even though I never used the platform. Instead of helping to resolve the issue and giving me my money back they were just asking for the email address of the account (which I don't have since I don't use the platform). I can only advise against using Opodo. The company isn't professional.

I signed up in May 2021. I hve since been unable to cancel my membership.
I have emailed and had no response.
I have tried their chat bots (you need a reference number for flight or they will not speak to you), as i can no longer log into my account to cancel it. I cannot speak to them to log into my account to cancel my subscription.
They have been terrible. Their website is incredibly obscure and they make it deliberately hard for you to cancel your subscription or speak directly to someone.
I have not used their services since May 2021!
Desired outcome: Refund for this years payment of £59.99, and confirmation of cancellation of my subscription.

My wife booked a Flight with Ryanair Edinburgh to Faro for 16th September ref no JWY2YH name Mary Stewart

Yesterday you took an unauthorised amount of £59.99 from our account. Can you please advise what this was for.
In addition we cannot print a boarding pass because Ryanair tell us you are not an authorised agent.

They didn't send invoice for 2 weeks and then I chatted wit their agent in customer service, so he(she) said I will receive the invoice on my email in 24-72 hours. But I didn't. Car rental
I rented a car through Opodo, in Porto (Portugal) booking reference PT713743460. When I arrived in Porto, at the designated rental place, there was nobody present from the car rental company. After waiting and trying to contact this company for an hour, I had no choice but to rent a car from a different company. I contacted Opodo to refund me and I raised case [protected]. The designated Opodo representative has blatantly and unprofessionally ignored all evidence I shared and she has refused to provide a refund saying that the car company (Firefly) refuses to refund me! I tried to escalate this case to a different officer or to the manager of the original officer without success. It is as if "computer says no" i.e. if the customer service officer says no than the case is doomed.
I called more than 10 times, I wrote about 30 emails, I spent about 10 hours on trying to get the refund. It is shocking how bad the Opodo customer service is. Shame
Desired outcome: Refund plus compensation for the inconvenience caused and the time wasted through the unprofessionalism of Opodo employees and lack of Opodo quality control services
Unauthorised debit card charges
I had wanted to travel internationally to Uganda. I created an account with Opodo prime but never provided any bank card details to them. A total of BWP 998.93 was credited from my account on the 10 of August 2023 without my consent and knowledge. my main concern is how did they manage to get to my account yet i never gave them my bank details. i had also decided to book my ticket online and not with opodo.
Desired outcome: i would like to have a refund of my money. Thank you.
