Meijer Purple Cow Sundae Cones Fudge

I purchased Purple Cow Sundae Cones on 2/17/22 at the Meijers on Meijer Dr. and Maysville Rd. in Fort Wayne Indiana. (store # 138) lFast Lane 100 at 11:40 a.m. I was greatly disappointed that even though the picture and description showed a fudge sauce core in the ice cream none of the cones actually contained any fudge.

Meijer Management

My wife is 2 months pregnant. She requested to work only a few days like my sister. Instead they give her more days and have her lift more pounds than she should in pregnancy.

She called in one day to check her bleeding and the managers comment was she shouldn't have gotten pregnant. Funny thing is, she was pregnant before she started working there. We found out within these few weeks.

They have no right treating her like [censored] and had no right to give us that insidious comment. We're at our snapping point.

Desired outcome: Fire them, replace them, sue them.

Meijer Employee

Hello, my name is Marlene Marion and my email is, [protected]@gmail.com. When visiting Meijer on Adam Road in Rochester Michigan on 2/19/22, I was in the unlimited line to check out. My sister was behind me and two other ladies behind her. As we stood between the aisles waiting for our turn at the unlimited checkout self-serve a woman came up, looked at us and got in the line in front of us. I told the lady that we were all waiting, and she said that no one was in the third line. I said, "what third line, we are all waiting for our turn in the unlimited line". She then proceeded to scream at me and tell me that there is no longer a single line, there are three lines now.

I shop at Meijers all the time and I have a Citi bank Meijers credit card with you and during the pandemic and beyond we were instructed to make a single line for unlimited, keep the aisle open and wait our turn. When I went over to the employee whose name was Ismerralda (wrong spelling) to ask her to honor the ten minutes we had already waited in line, she proceeded to raise her voice and tell me that there are three lines and has always been three lines for over 2 years and the woman had the right to get in the other line if she wanted to. She then went over and talked to the woman who was with the woman who was screaming. I believe they all knew each other.

When I told her I was going to complain, she said go ahead and turned and walked off. I did complain to the manager, and she said she would talk to her, but as a valued customer I wanted to alert you to how I, a valued customer was treated. You told me I was valued when you sent me yet another free 10-dollar letter to spend. for shopping in your store. If this was something that was the norm, I would have followed the order and been ok with it.

Desired outcome: I think signage is needed to prevent this from happening again and possible training as well. I was not only unhappy, but a bit taken aback by the employee who allowed it to happen. Please let me know what you think about this situation.

Meijer Meijer Chunky Applesauce

My complaint is that the jar you put the applesauce in has ridges and I never

can get all of the applesauce out. I would like to see you put the applesauce

in a plain jar. Then I would be able to clean out the jar.

Thank you for letting me tell you what I would like to see happen.

P.S. Love the applesauce.

We shop at Amherst and Avon Ohio stores. Like your products and your store is the only one to carry chunky applesauce.

Meijer Staffing

Manager Lamar assigned fellow employee Salem to do carts. Salem was assigned O register as a cashier. She was not trained to do carts, she was not given the proper equipment by him such as the best and any mistakes she made would have reflected on him. The pay for doing carts in this location is higher than what she was getting paid as well. Lastly unrelated to work she's 5'4 expected to push a bunch of carts she wasn't trained for in the freezing cold.

Desired outcome: Lamar should no longer be a manager. He lacks the decision making skills and wisdom. He puts their workers in danger and doesn't care about their well being.

Meijer Pharmacy

This occurred around 1:30 PM EST on 1/11/22 in the Meijer Pharmacy in Englewood. I went to the pharmacy and requested a flu shot. I was asked if I had an appointment and advised I didn't and was doing the walk in like the sign out front said was acceptable. They were very rude. They pulled the sign inside and wrote on it and told me they would be with me as soon as possible with a total attitude! Then when I go down by the door where the shots are given there are two more signs that specifically say "NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY" for Flu Shots. I pointed this out to the person who gave me the shot and he explained it was corporate policy and he apologized. If you are not accepting walk ins for flu shots then remove your signs saying you are and when someone questions that DON'T TREAT A CUSTOMER RUDELY"

Meijer Employee behavior

Hello,

This incident occurred on 1/8/22 at approximately 3:30pm at the Meijer located at 40445 S Groesbeck Hwy, in Clinton Township, MI.

I was standing in the designated Shipt self-service line (I am a Shipt Shopper) and there was an employee, I believe her name was Amanda, who politely asked if she could sneak in front of me to scan two quick items before I scanned all my items (about a 50-item order.) I said no problem and let her go through, and unfortunately the checkout broke as Amanda put in her cash. The attendant at the self-service area called for further assistance from someone else.

After waiting for at least a minimum of 5 minutes, and no one was coming to service the check out, I was getting frustrated. Finally, an employee named Fallon walked up to assist us. Amanda mentioned, "Hey, we've been waiting a while." And Fallon responded, "Too bad, it's just you, I don't care." And proceeded to shove my cart full of items past the scanning area. She didn't bother to even acknowledge me, so I said "Girl, I still have to scan all those." She kept ignoring me.

Finally, when she was done with the register, she began to walk away. I started talking to her about Shipt and how she was making me late, and she tried to just keep on walking. I stopped her and said "So, you're just going to keep walking even though I'm talking to you?" She finally stopped and I explained, "I work for Shipt, maybe you don't know, but if you wait ten minutes to come help us then you're putting me ten minutes behind." I couldn't even finish my sentence before Fallon cut me off. "I can't get over here if I'm running three different stations" she said to me.

I have a background in retail management, and I get it, so I politely said to her, "I understand that…." And again, before I could even finish my sentence, Fallon cut me off and said "No, you don't seem to understand that or else you wouldn't be all mad."

I then said to her, "I do understand, but then maybe you need to speak with your manager and let them know that you need more people and customers are getting upset with having to wait so long." Again, before I could even finish the sentence or the conversation, Fallon put her phone up to her ear and started talking to someone. I said to her "Okay, that's now the third time you've completely ignored me." At that point, I walked away.

I am so frustrated and disgusted by how I was treated by this employee. All she needed to do was acknowledge me and apologize for keeping me waiting. Instead, she chose to combat me and then ignore me even more. It is unacceptable behavior for an employee to treat a customer in this manner and Fallon needs to be taught that.

Now, I have to go to this same store every day for my job and see Fallon and remember how I was treated so poorly. I usually do not ever have this bad of an experience with one of your employees, but I'm honestly so offended by the way I was treated that I feel like I must report this behavior. The way Fallon treated me should NOT BE TOLERATED. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information. Thank you for your time.

Meijer No assistance available to help with Christmas shopping.

I attempted to finish my Christmas shopping. However, all the help at the Mchenry, Illinois store. Was on register. Help? Really, yes employees? No such thing in Mchenry, Illinois. Security all over the store like cockroaches. Done with Meijer. Went elsewhere. What a joke!

Meijer Mary B. Self check out

I went through the self scan on 12/31 at 12:54 pm. MARY B. was working the self scan with alcohol for a party that I am attending. She watched us check out the entire time. I even looked at her & smiled, she looked at me with no emotion, like she hated her life. I showed her my ID & she asked"are you the youngest" i said"im paying for it" bc that has how it has always been when i purchase alcohol at this store. She snatched my ID out of my hand & said "I didn't ask who's paying for it, i asked if you were the youngest". As she scanned my ID about 20 times bc she didn't know what she was doing. As she was doing this she said "i couldve asked both of your for your IDs but i didnt, did i?" I have NEVER received anything less than good customer service at the franklin meijer, except for today. She had the worst attitude & was entirely rude so no reason at all. I probably will not be coming back just because of her.

Meijer check out non self serve

You quite obviously do not want my business I do not even enter your stores without seeing if there is a checkout lane with a person. I immediately leave if there is not an open checkout lane. If you think that you can force me to use self checkout think again. I just shop at your competitors. I have been a longtime customer and a senior and will not use your self serve lanes because I won't put someone out of work. You expect people to do the work for you and don't even offer a discount for doing it. If this situation does not change you have lost a customer.

Meijer Staffing levels

I tried to give you my business twice today, once at Wixom Meijer the second at the Commerce Township location. Both stores had lines backed up all the way through the clothing departments. not only was this upsetting to your customers, but to your staff as well. I decided to wait for the self checkout this evening at the Commerce Township location (16 persons waiting, just on one side), when it was my turn, I noticed a woman slowly self scanning a shopping cart full of groceries. I asked the attendant why she isn't enforcing the 15 items or less, her response was "I don't care, i was supposed to off of work 30 minutes ago". Unbelievable.

I am from the Greenville, MI area and want to fully support local business as much as I can, but this was the last straw. Maybe Meijer should focus more on hiring, retaining and paying the correct staff a substantial wage instead of spending Millions on getting your logo on a Hockey helmet. This was you wouldn't have to use the excuse "no one wants to work".

Desired outcome: Refocus on what's important to your Company, the Customer!

Gallon storage bags leaking immediately, defective. All leaking at corner(seam). Made a complete mess of fridge. Only one bag did not leak.

Meijer Lake n Trail Boots

These boots were purchased in 2020 and only wore a handful of times. Very very disappointed in the quality! They are not cheap boots and bought them thinking they would last a little while, paying more than $100. Two seasons and maybe wore 7 times.
The sole is completely coming off. They are worthless!
I will never by this product again.

Meijer Gaming system

This company is so corrupt, I received a confirmation on a gaming system and after calling them and asking if I can pick it up early, they cancelled my order and gave it to someone else. This is ridiculous. I literally was trying to get it for 3 hours and when I finally get it they give it to someone else. I will never shop or recommend this store to anyone. They couldn't even give me a reason why they canceled my order after I received a confirmation code. If I received a confirmation I would assume they have enough inventory but no they want to let you think you're getting what you want to turn around and pop your bubble. What a way a to start this 2021 thanksgiving. Thanks for nothing MEIJER

Meijer Being charged for customer in front of me and no apology.

Good morning,
I visited store #104 in Columbia Ohio yesterday. While in the check out lane, my cashier was also, I believe, the customer service manager, and was answering the phone and dealing with issues while ringing up the customer in front of me then my order. I alerted her to the key pad still saying "payment approved waiting on cashier". She finished ringing up my order and did something g to cancel the key pad and reset it. My total was a lot more than I expected but I thought I just didn't calculate in my head correctly. I paid and left. When I arrived home 20 minutes later I pulled out my receipt because I was still in shock at what I spent (about $100 more than I thought). I saw that the receipt had a ton of items I didn't buy. After further inspection I realized it's all the groceries of the customer in front of me. I had to go back to the store, stand in line and explain what happened. They took care of it, but never did they apologize for the inconvenience. They made me feel like it was my fault. The manager was even there and never apologized to me. I know mistakes happen, but good customer service is admitting error and apologizing. I was so disappointed in the experience. I waisted over an hour of driving back and forth and still no apology. I know if I return I will be studying my receipt everytime before I leave.

Meijer Customer service

I went in to the Florence Ky store to buy some clothes but fitting rooms were closed due to covid. What exactly does covid have to do with the fitting rooms being closed? The entire staff and the majority of the customers were maskless. This is completely idiotic. So I get home and a few of the pants were too large so I called the store and asked what time the service desk closed and I was told 10 pm. So I run up there and get there at 9:10 pm to exchange for smaller sizes and the desk closed at 9 pm not 10. I spoke to the manager but he wouldn't do anything to fix the situation. Now you have completely lost my business. I will never shop there again. I use to grocery shop there until it started being routine that the sale items were always out of stock. Now the customer service is almost as bad as it is at Walmart . I can see you don't care about your customers whatsoever and don't mind losing business. There are plenty of other stores to shop at that does value their customers. It's pretty bad when the manager himself agrees with me on the Walmart comment. That says a lot. I am returning everything I bought tomorrow and will not be back. Hopefully this opens someone's eyes and some changes are made. This is completely unacceptable. If the fitting rooms had been open all of this could've been avoided. But I guess that's where covid is hiding just waiting to infect someone... it's not anywhere else in the store. SMH

Meijer Pick up order #[protected] & Customer Service

Placed Pick-00Up Order that included a Butterball Turkey breast. Order brought out & was told they did not have the turkey breast. I called customer service - had to wait a long time asked if they had any other brands of Turkey breast. They tried to transfer me to meat department. Waited again a long time. I was either hung up on or disconnected. Called Meijer main number - tried to get Meat Department but voice menu kept trying to send me to Men's Department. Called Customer Service again - had to wait a long time. This time the lady stayed on the line & gentleman in meat department said yes they had at least a dozen Turkey breasts. Called customer service again - had to wait a long time. Explained about the missing item in my order and that I was unable to come into store because my husband had just tested positive for COVID. I asked if there was any way I could purchase the Turkey breast and have it brought out to me in Pick-Up area. They said of course. Got transferred to I don't know where and lady reviewed my order & said I was not charged for the item I did not receive, which I was not disputing. I explained I had checked my order on the Ap - there was nothing indicating they were out of Butterball and they did not substitute. Lady said she could not help me - I explained that customer service said they could bring one out right away - she wanted to know who told me that & I said the gentleman in customer service. She transferred me to pickup department. They said I would have to reorder for the next day or come into store. I explained I could NOT come into store and to forget it - I just wouldn't use Meijer anymore. This was at 6:30 pm or maybe a little later - I had been sitting in the parking lot since 5pm. My order was brought out around 5:45pm. I spent over 45 minutes mostly listening to music on hold while I tried to get a Turkey breast that was just inside the store. More than willing to pay for it but unable to physically come in. I live out of town so coming back into town is a hardship on top of everything else. No one would help me. Thanks a lot Meijer. Since I have to reorder I'll just go somewhere else. There are other stores.

Meijer Employee Heather P.

Dear Sirs,

On Monday, November 22, 2021, I went to Meijer, 5500 Clyde Park Avenue, Wyoming, Michigan, in order to purchase some items. It should be noted that I was in a motorized chair due to a fracture of my right ankle. I usually go to Meijer three to four times a week for my purchases.

After obtaining my items I went to the self check out on the north side of the store. Just before reaching the self scan registers I observed a Meijer employee standing on the north side of the check out facing south. At this time I also noted only one customer using the self check out in the area. Just prior to reaching the employee I politely stated, "Good morning." She did not respond. I'm sure that she heard me. I stopped my motorized chair about three feet in front of the female employee. I again politely stated, "Good morning." After saying this the second time the employee turned her head to her left, looking inside the store, without saying anything in response. I then headed to the self scan register and stated "wow" out loud. I could not believe that she did not respond to me. It was like I wasn't even there. (I checked out at 9:33:48, Fastlane 115, for a total purchase of $20.27.)

A short time later I looked at this employee's name tag which identified the Meijer employee as, "Heather P."

As I have been a frequent visitor to Meijer over the past 40 or so years I know that Heather P. does not represent how Meijer wants employees to communicate with their customers. I felt compelled to advise you of my negative experience with Heather P. The reason that I am writing this complaint is that it is my hope that Heather P. will be more friendly to the Meijer costumers in the future. I'm sure if I noticed her rudeness other shoppers have noticed her negative attitude as well.

I am considering going to the Meijer off from Kalamazoo Avenue and M6, Caledonia, instead of the Meijer in Wyoming due to my recent experience with Heather P.

Meijer Customer Service

Whenever we buy cat or dog food, it doesn't ring up and then customer service gives you a hard time about it, they act like you're trying to cheat them or something.
Every time I go buy the food that's on promotion, it's always out of stock.
We would like the promotional price to ring correctly at the register..and for customer service to be friendlier and not act like it's a bother.

Meijer prescriptions

I have been a customer of Meijer Pharmacy on east Washington Indianapolis IN for a long time, but now I will be taking my business elsewhere. The Pharmacy has really gotten horrible. I am not the only customer having these problems, I helped a elderly lady in line because the pharmacy techs made her feel shamed. It's the dumb black girls in there (I'm African American also, so no prejudice here). The techs that I have come across I would not have them working on my front line anywhere. Customers receive a notice that our prescriptions are ready and when you get there and wait for a ridiculous long time, the rude pharmacy techs look at you like your crazy for even being there. Please don't say due to COVID this was way before COVID that the customer service went down. I stood in line today listening to all of the other customers complaints. Elderly people are customed to using the same pharmacy and will not change over even though they are treated poorly, rushed and not explained to in a manner they can comprehend .
