I have had a horrible customer service experience with Magic Jack. I placed an order on their website. After many weeks, I had not received the device. After two calls to their customer service, the agent advised me to purchase the device at Amazon since Magic Jack’s supply chain was backed up. She told me should would refund my account and provided a refund number. I followed her advice and purchased the device from Amazon and set it up. A month later I still hadn’t received my refund, so I provided the refund number to my credit card and they opened an investigation. A few days later a magic jack arrived in the mail. I started getting harassing emails from Magic Jack about the chargeback. I explained what I was told to do and provided the refund number. Magicjack told me to return the device and charged me a $25 reinstatement fee. This fee is ridiculous. I simply followed their agent’s instructions and magicjack sent a device they told me they were refunding. I completely regret availing myself of magicjack’s service. Run!

Recommendation: Avoid this company
