La Quinta Inns & Suites - Assaulted physically while at your hotel

My son paid for a block of 8 rooms for Saturday (November 14th) 2020. to celebrate my daughter-in-law's 30th birthday.
The receptionist ensured my son that we would not have a problem, given that we would have 8 rooms, and would be returning that evening to be celebrating our Daughter in law's 30th birthday.
Without including a TON of detail, my daughter in law deserved a fun evening! She has not only battled & recovered from Cancer, but COVID has completely destroyed her celebrations of marriage, celebrating the birth of their first child, and everything else exciting for them this year - so my son was insistent that her birthday would be special... and so he spent months planning to do something super special to celebrate her 30th birthday.
He has been a long standing member of La Quinta & Expedia rewards/ benefits programs & what happened to us on Saturday 11/14/20 was appalling! We are in-process of taking legal action, but to briefly explain:
He checked everyone in early Sat afternoon to ensure no complications.
NYS Governor Cuomo had just passed an executive order the day before, (on Friday 13) stating anyone who held a liquor license in the state of NY, would have to close by 10pm, so Kyle (our son) booked the hotel at your location in Batavia, NY and requested that we not be along side other patrons, as we would like for family and friends to be allowed to visit, enjoy each other's company, & celebrate with our daughter in law after we return from Dinner at a local restaurant in Batavia.
To make a long story short - shortly after we arrived and got comfortable, the woman who was working at the desk (the same one who assured us she would not put us near other guests on the floor) approached one of our rooms, (Rm#300) yelling and screaming that the noise had to be kept down, as there were other guests (across the hall) that were complaining? Seriously? Across the hall? We asked her to acknowledge what she had promised, and that we would have had NO IDEA any other guests were that close in proximity, and she was rude, yelling, & swearing! We politely asked her to let us know how we could remedy this, so that we could continue to hang out and visit, without disturbing other guests?! She would not hear any of it! She just continued to talk to us as if we were horrible people! Then, without our knowledge, she must have went right back to the desk, and called the Sheriff Dept. for a noise complaint? SO, My son and husband spoke to the officers, and then asked them to accompany them to the front desk to ask for the mgr. They refused to go, stating "They were all adults, and they were only handling the noise complaint) and just continued talking to some of the other guests in our group. My son & huband (Kyle & Doug Clark) went down alone, to the front desk, asked for a refund so we could leave. It was at this time that the front desk clerk stated:"you mother [censored]ers just need to leave now!"my son politely asked for a manager, and this is when the clerk ran around the front desk, (with no mask on) ran at my son, yelling the f word, and actually pushed him!? She was non-stop yelling & swearing, telling him to get the [censored] out! My son put up his hands to defend himself, and pushed her away from him, and then all of a sudden another girl (apparently this was the clerk's daughter who was there in the middle of the night?) she came at him; grabbing him/ hitting and pushing him! (my son has bruises and scratches everywhere) so, at this time, he's got two females attacking him & apparently, that wasn't enough, because then another man (apparently, this was the clerk's boyfriend - again there why? In the middle of the night?) comes running out to also attack my son!? At this time, my husband steps in and grabs the erroneous man; keeping him in a chair in the lobby in order to avoid my son getting beat by three people in your hotel!? (one of them being your employee, a staff member!?), my husband held him in the chair, telling him he better not even think about attacking our son (your patron,) who just spend close to $1000 to book rooms for his wife's birthday celebration!) the officers (again your employee knew they were there, so why she flew around the corner and felt as if she had to attack our son is still ridiculous?!) finally come down the elevator and from that point on, we were treated like criminals & my son was issued a ticket and was told that he will be listed in the local newspaper as a woman/ child beater!? Can you imagine? He was attacked, and yet even after the mgr was finally called & they"privately" reviewed the video footage, my son was still threatened, and was not allowed to file a complaint against the attackers!?
We are demanding you give him his money back! We are also filing formal personal & professional complaints with the la quinta owners, expedia, the local genesee county sheriff dept, and the local nys health dept! As a very critical side note: there was never a time when your employee had a mask on (which is also very evident & conclusive on your cameras) & after your employee, and her child and boyfriend (there in the middle of the night?) were allowed to attack and assault my son and husband, this is not going away! They were in their faces, in very close proximity, spitting and yelling without masks, this is not only against nys policy, but a very horrible reflection on your hotel?!
What kind of hotel allows brutality like this when a patron is just asking for a manager, along with allowing your patrons to be physically attacked by an employee, her boyfriend, and her child, in the middle of the night while she's supposed be employed and working for your hotel, and all we wanted to do was speak to the manager before leaving in order to request a refund!?
The words so unprofessional don't even come close & this is definitely something our attorney(s) are seriously requesting we pursue in court!

This is insane but I'm reading comments here and finding many complaints of totally insane employees and I just had the same problem yesterday and it almost put me in the hospital. I recovered from cancer too but due to people's discrimination and evil treatment, my heart is actually damaged now. I was just there for employment purposes - and I had a horrible "almost" assault by a manager.

Apparently La Quinta's just are not safe.
