My husband has contacted them multiple times in the past year to cancel membership due to financial hardship stemming from a work accident and they refuse. They have told him the only way out is to sell it to someone. They will not cancel. We will be contacting a lawyer if they do not Cancel immediately. It is a company that offers misleading and ambiguous information to its clients. We were offered false selling points, omission of vital information, and poor management practices, highlighted by the slowness of processing pertinent and necessary information, regarding essential benefits. For these reasons, we want to cancel our membership effective immediately.

Desired outcome: Membership cancellation

Ascendant Holidays While in Orlando during the the first week of December

While in Orlando during the the first week of December . We were introduced to Ascendant Holidays by a representative at NU Car Rental. We listened to the sales presentation before going upstairs to sign paperwork. During signing (we were told was being recorded), the lady seemed nervous and was disorganized. She looked at her phone and was rushing. First thing she said was, "if there's anything wrong and you're unhappy with anything, let's resolve it internally." That statement in mind, we asked her to confirm what a Sales Manager mentioned earlier. We asked what would happen if we were unable to fulfill the obligations due to unforeseen circumstances. Sales Manager said we'd be able to cancel/terminate the agreement. She seemed uncertain - which was alarming. At that point it, it was after 6 PM. We arrived there at 2:30 PM. We had to head back to the hotel due to an emergency and did not complete sign up process. Later that evening, we sent a text to the Sales Rep letting him know we'd be there the following morning. We arrived at 9 AM the following morning. We met with the Sales Rep and informed him we made the decision to NOT proceed with purchasing the vacation package for the following reasons: 1. 16% interest rate was too high, and 2. there was a conflict between what the lady told us vs. what Sales Manager mentioned regarding terminating the event of the unforeseen. We went back upstairs and spoke to the lady's manager. He acknowledged our concerns and accepted our decision to not proceed with the purchase. He mentioned all paperwork would be shredded and had not completed the process. Mixed with our paperwork was another customer's drivers license (alarming). We left assured everything was cancelled - with no copies of paperwork presented to us. Three weeks later, we received Credit Cards from Barclays Bank and then an invoice. This is fraudulent and will be reported to the FTC. Barclays Bank is aware.

On June 1, 2022 My Girlfriend and I stayed at *** Resort which is normal. The day before our stay we was asked numerous of times to attend a two hour tour for a free 6 night/7 day vacation no matter if we take the offer or not. It was WAY LONGER than two hours(it was 5 to 6 hours). The people who did the presentation was nice but, even with that I declined the offer 4x and then we was told I counted 7x "we can cancel this program at ANYTIME cause it was not a time share." Ultimately we said fine cause we could cancel anytime then they threw all the free gifts with it. So we waited for welcome call that took a month and they said about a week. For them to tell me well us that we couldn't cancel cause we only had three days. We was NEVER TOLD THIS but 30 days for cancellation we was. We have never used ANY of there stuff and don't wish too to be honest.

Ascendant Holidays This company is conducting business in the most fraudulent manner possible

This company is conducting business in the most fraudulent manner possible. My partner and I signed a contract with Ascendant Holidays on 2/16. What was supposed to be a "congratulations, you've won a free trip for two to Jamaica" turned into two years of being harassed, NO TRIP TO JAMAICA, and thousands of dollars wasted on empty promises. Ascendent Holidays makes sure that when they offer you the "free trip" they force you to come into their place of business so they can place you in a hot room for literal hours hankering down on you about why you should give them your money. It is virtually impossible to get the one trip you came for without signing your life over. We put down nearly $3,000 the day of (of which we have not seen a single penny go to our "investment"). We paid hundreds of dollars towards nothing thereafter. When Covid hit a MONTH later we called into have our contract cancelled after coming to the understanding that not only would we not be able to travel to Jamaica for free as promised, we wouldn't be going anywhere for a very long time. They denied the cancellation but knocked almost $5,000 off our contract. Which tells me they are more than capable of taking matters into their own hands if they see fit. We then had to call in several times when they'd take extra payments without authorization. We were locked out of our accounts at one point and had to call in several times to get access. Let's be clear: Ascendant Holidays DOES NOT take out loans to cover the cost of anything on your behalf, meaning-you are quite literally paying "money owed" to no one but them for services YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE. They don't lose any money or sleep canceling these contracts they impose on people. I want my contract completely cancelled & their remark removed from my credit report. They're lucky I'm only asking for a cancellation and not a complete refund. If this issue cannot be resolved I will be taking legal action.

In May 2022, my husband heard a radio promotional announcement that if he texted a number, he would win a trip for 4 days/3 nights. He then received a call that he won the trip but had to pay $99 and attend a 2hr presentation at *** Resort (red flag). Well, we attended as we were told, but the 2hr presentation turned into a seemingly all day event (4-5hrs later). The salesman was really nice and he sold us on all the benefits of the vacation membership (as it was described, not a timeshare). Initially, we were told we wouldn't have to put any money down and only a soft credit check would be done. Turned out, a hard credit inquiry was done and we actually applied for a credit card, for which a $8600 down payment was put on the credit card. The rest was financed so we would actually have 2 payments each month (one to Ascendant and the other to the credit card company). We were told the payment would be $301 for the 1st 6 months but it would then reduce to $180--which doesn't seem likely being that the credit card will only be paid down by approximately $1800. We were under the impression we had 30 days to cancel if we changed our minds so we waited until we got our welcome call to decide because I still had questions and slight reservations. Well, on the call, I learned we actually only had 3 days to cancel and the welcome call did little to clarify the program so I could understand how to use it. At this time, we would really just like to cancel the contract and have the down payment refunded to our NEW credit card.

I attended there travel program. I told them I would not be able to purchase the program since I'm in the process of buying a home. They assured me there would not be hard inquiry on my credit report. Next day I notice my credit went down 6 points due to a hard inquiry from them. I immediately texted the salesperson (Jerry) and he said he would look into it. He texted me back and assured me that the manager said that it would drop off in 14 days. 6 months later is still there. I told them I did want to cancel my program since they did not keep there word, and they sent me a release agreement which did not include the refund for my down payment and the first months payment. I emailed them and told them, that I would not sign it until it stated the refund. I just got a letter of cancellation from them and they stated they have cancelled my with program NO REFUND. I would like a refund and the removal of the hard inquiry, and make sure this does not happen to anyone else.

Ascendant Holiday's initially told me my loan would be for $9,075 but had me put a down payment of $4000 that they said at the time was mandatory to start the membership, looking at my receipts this was an addition not a down payment. On Thurs Jan 20th, I received a call from the member service representative saying that one of my "gifts" was supposed to be a 5% discount on the principle which according to him was set to expire 30 days after the purchase. We didn't have our initial phone call until AFTER 30 days so he then said that after that initial phone call he was able to "clear it:" with his manager to give me a 10% discount on the principal as long as I could pay it all off right there and then. This right there started to worry me because what company misses the initial phone call and then asks for all the money at once. I know I was tricked, and it was my fault for not verifying this companies' legitimacy but at this point I would just like to be done with it and I attempted to do so. During the sign-up process they continuously changed documents and asked me to sign new ones, the two-hour brief ended up taking the whole day. I have the contract with missing pages probably because they kept bringing out new papers for me to sign taking them back instead of doing it all in one sitting. I asked why I signed the same page twice and they said the first was outdated. When I called today Jan 22nd to cancel this membership someone answered the phone never mentioned who they were and then placed me on another 20 min hold just to transfer me over to a guy named "Biaz or Diaz *** who told me that I cannot cancel and that if I want to cancel that I have to pay them all $9,075. He continued to say that I would have to email "them" saying I want to cancel, when I asked him who is he to as "they" he said "correspondence" I would just like this cancellation of membership that I never used and be released from this "contract".

My husband & I were convinced to show up at Ascendant Holidays (AH) under false pretenses, as well as for reimbursement of transportation costs & a free cruise. We sat through the endless presentation and went round & round with their constant high-pressure sales tactics and lie upon lie. We both had the same thought, "no way we will get approved for this." My husband is on SSA disability, and I am an independent contractor. One of the stipulations we were told from the start was, "must be gainfully employed." This was our saving grace to not be pressured into buying and still receive what was promised, or to not be stuck in an office in Orlando when we were supposed to be catching a flight home to our kids. We were dead wrong; the pressure was on us from the start with no end in sight. Looking back there were so many red flags and we just can't believe this happened to us, we never thought we would ever fall victim to this type of scam. It is clear as day to us now why they did things the way they did & continued to do during the first 30 days as owners. It was as if the only way out their door & on our way home, was to agree & sign. We have included supporting documentation to help explain why, where & how AH scammed us out of $14,075. We are in need of assistance to help recover the money already spent with AH or affiliates ($2420 down payment, 241.56 first payment, and $800 to book the timeshare resort in Mexico totaling $3461.56), as well as cancellation of this bogus contract and correction of credit report.

On February 28 we attended an informational meeting in which we ended up buying a "platinum" vacation package for $23,271.00. All the information made us think we were going to be able to contact Ascendant Holiday and book a vacation with no hassle. Fast forward to a year after we purchased the package and wanted to go to Florida. I called and called, the website didn't work and guess what, there was a change of ownership and with that our package became inactive. After hours of phone calls, transfer after transfer, dropped calls, promised emails that never showed up, return phone calls that never came, over months of time, they finally got our account active, not platinum status, and nothing was available the dates we wanted to go. We were not able to book a vacation with our package so we could vacation with our family that was going to be in Florida at the same time for vacation. I called beginning in August for that vacation in March 2022. Because it took so long to figure out what was wrong with our account, all the locations within our destination were unavailable. Not only could we not vacation where we wanted to, we definitely were not treated as platinum membership.

Transaction Date February 08. We bought this at Orlando, FL with representative M A and Manager Frank P. Since then, I was unable to use it due to health issues. I recover now, and I called RCI and I spoke with agent James. I asked about my points and the vacation time promised by the rep and manager and tried to book it, his answer was that THEY ARE A FRAUD. He said (RCI representative) he didn't understand why the Ascendant Holiday was selling this as a membership with no blackout dates, no additional cost when all they are is a discount program. I contacted by phone and text Mrs M A and she said the company will contact me (Called her on June 2, 2022) THEY NEVER CALLED AND THEY HAVEN'T CALL ME AS OF TODAY JUNE 18 2022 THIS was $13k. I am an elderly and I feel they took advantage of me. The contract is not in the language I understand fully and even the notary lie to me when he explained the contract. RCI SAID THAT ASCENDANT ARE FRAUD. if this was a mistake, someone should have contacted me and I have proof that i called the rep and text her too.

While vacationing for my boyfriend's birthday in March, we were approached by a representative of Ascendant Holidays, LLC while trying to finalize our rental car purchase. We were invited by this rep to hear some more info on the program this company offered. While attending our informational session at Vista Cay resorts in Orlando, our guide Ryan expressed how the program worked and began to really win us over. The first question I asked our guide was if a credit check was involved and he quickly stated "we just do a soft credit check which should not impact your credit". I asked this question because my boyfriend and I were planning on moving in just two months and did not want our credit to be impacted in any way. By the end of our tour and after agreeing to a deposit of $500, my boyfriend and I both received a hard inquiry notification from Credit Karma warning us that Ascendant Holiday's has actually done a hard credit check after they said they would not. We expressed our dissatisfaction with how we were advised this would not happen but our contracts have already been signed. During our tour and contract signing, we were advised as well that we would not be able to utilize any features of our package until after our deposit has been successfully paid off with 6 consecutive monthly payments. After successfully paying off our deposit in 6 month's time, we waited for an additional 30 days to receive our username and temporary password for our RCI account. Immediately we attempted to book a birthday cruise for my boyfriend for March 2022. We were advised that if we booked a cruise for that time period, there was no guarantee that we would be able to actually sail given the current state of the Coronavirus Pandemic. We decided not to risk it and reached out to our Sunset Limited partner to utilize our annual Cancun, Mexico resort stay. Again, we were met with obstacles surrounding book dates in the month of March and even December 2022.

I believed I won a free 4 day vacation on a radio station when I received a phone call stating I had won because of a key word I texted a couple weeks prior. I was told in order for me to receive the tickets I would have to sit through an hour and a half presentation and also had to pay a $99 registration fee. I was excited because I had never won anything before and should not have proceeded when I was charged the fee. So what I've figured out about this company is they are using bait and switch tactics while preying on peoples love and dreams of traveling they relentlessly tell you the program isn't a timeshare when it actually is/ maybe worse than a traditional time share , we were promised the best prices for vacations with a price match guarantee with a additional 10% off but I've found cheaper prices on the actual website of the resorts as well as other booking websites thousands of dollars cheaper when we ask the company to price match the resorts we find we find out they only price match hotels not resorts which is odd because during my presentation I only was asking about all inclusive resorts because that's how I like to travel so clearly they were being very dishonest and using misleading tactics while negotiating. They have not given me a refund or canceled my contract yet and I'm seriously considering legal action not to mention I have a huge social media presence and I live near they're place of business I would recommend they do what it takes to rectify my situation so I can go on with my life , if you are in the business of hustling people ascendant holidays that's fine but you need to choose your customers wisely I will be very disruptive and I will work endlessly to bring awareness about this scam if not fully refunded and opted out of this contract.

I purchased a plan with Ascendant Holidays back in July , I cancelled it within the 3 days regulatory period with the company. I was promised to get a refund of $500.00 in the next 3 weeks. I haven't heard from them after an email stating that my cancellation was correct. I have sent multiple emails trying to get explanation for the delayed refund and got nothing from them.

I want to file a complaint against this company for false information and for scamming. They scam families into buying into a timeshare and travel membership and completely change the prices once the bill comes through. I recently looked at reviews and the same issue I'm currently having has happened to so many and I want to end my membership but nothing has happened. They pressure people with a lie and forceful sales pitch that you can take vacations and cruises at low prices but it's all a scam and they are not helpful or understanding whatsoever.

I was listening to the radio and they said text play to a number from your cell phone to win a trip for $99 . A couple days later I received a phone call telling me I won the trip, and I need to go to 9650 Universal Boulevard Orlando Fl. when I got there on Monday May 9 2022 at 11:00 am they told me it would be 2 hour Orientation about the trips which turned into 4 1/2 hours the salesman told us all it is good things about vacations places it sounded so good that I said OK let me try it out ,since we have 30 days before we can be put into the system. A week later I received another phone call on Monday May 16 2022 at 1:10 pm asking me do I have any questions ? that's when my wife asked about the 30 days cancellation policy , she said you only have 3 days to cancel your policy . We said what ? they told us that it was 30 days so now we're trying to cancel our policy and they are saying they're waiting for investigation because we were not told three days we were told 30 days all we want to is released out of the contract.. we feel that we was scammed into this contract once the 4 1/2 hours was almost up they started shoving the papers at us to sign this sign that,It was all rushed .I call them back on Wednesday May 18 2022 Asking them to cancel the contact because I receive bad news ,that my mom is sick and I might have to leave the country . I also mailed a cancellation letter to them on Tuesday May 17 2022 to the address they provided me with Ascendant Holidays P.O. Box 2043 Winter Park Fl 32790 with the contact # VC-ASC-019517 once I looked up on the ComplaintsBoard.com I realize that there are scamming other of people too.

Ascendant Holidays Deplorable doesn't even begin to describe my experience and the treatment I've received from Ascendant Holidays

Deplorable doesn't even begin to describe my experience and the treatment I've received from Ascendant Holidays. They blatantly lied to me and told me this was a "vacation package" that allowed me to travel more affordably. Not once was it ever mentioned that I would be getting involved in a timeshare. They made vacationing seem so pleasant and easy and it has been everything but that. After they lied and manipulated me into becoming a member was when reality hit. I ended up with an exorbitantly high mortgage and membership fees. What's so upsetting is I've been diligently paying these, despite my immense frustration, and have never been able to utilize a single service of Ascendant Holidays'! They are very aware of my financial situation as I've been reaching out to them for months. Every time I get in touch with someone, they offer no assistance whatsoever, or, hang up the phone during our conversation. It's no surprise that a company that so easily lies to people wouldn't want to take responsibility for the turmoil they cause. The most upsetting thing I've had to endure - outside of the lies, manipulation and inability to use any of the services, is the fact that Ascendant Holiday has been stealing from me. I have been calling for months to stop auto payments and they stopped charging my checking account to turnaround and charge my emergency credit card, which I never gave them authorization to do. So not only have they stolen from me, but the money they've stolen was specifically for emergencies, not for vacation needs. When I finally got Eddie from financial services to stop charging my credit card, they sent a nasty email stating they'll be adding on penalties and fees. How gross can a company be? Nearly $8,000 has been wasted with Ascendant Holiday and I truly cannot afford to give up another dime. I am in need of a response that includes an actual resolution releasing me of this arrangement, and not an explanation or excuses for their misdeeds.

Ascendant Holidays Me and my wife attended a meeting with ascendant holidays

Me and my wife attended a meeting with ascendant holidays. We sat down with a sales rep to discuss what they called a chance of a life time. It started off with him saying how would you like to take a vacation anytime, anywhere you like. As you would expect we were intrigued by the idea. I told him that I was pretty capable & well versed when it came to finding sales for vacation. He then proceeded to show us all the exotic locations & hotels he personally stayed in. He even went in and showed us pictures of his brother and his wife enjoying these lavish locations. But what we would soon find out is that this is where the misleading begins. We were led to to believe that these exotic locations where available for immediate booking and at way lower price than booking on our own. We were shown island and US destinations with "five star" ratings. After the lengthy presentation the sales rep brought over his manager to speak to us when he noticed how unresponsive we were. His manger then begins his own line of script and through tactical empathy works on our reluctance. He would say okay where would you guys like to go and callouts Aruba. Showing us pictures of himself in Aruba from his phone then on the large screen he showed us additional vacation spots, such as Jamaica & Greece. After I signed up for a new credit card to give them a down payment we thought we had a good deal. When I logged in I quickly realized the bait & switch. We did not see what we saw the day of the meeting. The locations that were paraded in front of us during that time were not available at as an option and by no means 5 star. We were shown all-inclusive deals but when we called a particular resort in Mexico to inquire I was shocked to find out about all the additional surcharges and daily fees. I cross referenced the actual resort website prices and they were much cheaper. The caliber hotels they displayed in the presentation were nothing like was featured on the site. 2,-3 star hotels

I went to the ascendant Holidays meeting because they had called me that I had won a week stay & that for me to claim I needed to go, I went w/o knowing I need to attend a 2 hour presentation &if i wanted to claim the week stay i needed to stay, i should of left, but i was like lets see, it ended up lasting like 5 hours, & yes everything sounded good, & I caved In after they gave me a plan that was in my budget @ the time & I remembered the guys coming over making me signed papers over and over because he kept filling them out my name wrong and needed to correct it, I didn't see much of it, but after reading the complaint I can see that is a scam and a trick they use, I called to cancel before the month had ended and was told the person who handle that will call me back, she didn't, I sent her &email & didn't respond, I had to cancel because I was involved in automobile accident, and now my budget had gone out of control with the accident& I even told her in the email if you need me I can sent pictures police report no reply, I called back she wasn't available that she will call me back but that she had received my email. She called me later that evening and said that cancelation period was only 3 days which I explained no one mentioned that to me, but that I really need to cancel & needed a refund on the $400 deposit, she said that she forwarded my email to the cancelation department but that my deposit would not be refunded, I asked to speak with someone in the cancelation department and she.said they don't take calls that they only review the email sent by them &that they will notify me, I said how.long, she said she did not know as it was in order of them receiving the email, it's has been about to week no reply they don't answer my calls. I checked online to see if there was a cancelation department for the company and started seeing all the complaints and specifically about the trick about having them sign different papers. That's why I'm doing complaint

Ascendant Holidays On 4/20, after 6hrs presentation, I updated my Holiday lounge membership (purchased 9 at $15,000 with $199 renewal fee) to Ascendant

On 4/20, after 6hrs presentation, I updated my Holiday lounge membership (purchased 9 at $15,000 with $199 renewal fee) to Ascendant membership (purchased at 14,950 with $49.00 renewal fee) with the promise I will keep my $994.05 credit with Holiday lounge. Ascendant did not include the $994.05 credit with Holiday lounge on the contract (even though I asked multiple times) because the reprep said on camera I will still have the credit because I will still be part of Holiday Lounge. He said both companies are under the same umbrella. Ascendant gifted 25 RCI points, 5/4 nights at Vista Cay, 2 Flight tickets and $500 travel voucher to anywhere on camera and contract. In 6/21, I called Holiday Lounge to book my trip with my $994.05 credit. They said I no longer had the credit because I cancel my membership. I explained I did not and how I received the credit because they canceled my trip because of covid in October . Holiday Lounge said I needed to called Ascendant because they canceled the membership. I called Ascendant and spoke to Karla, she said she will investigate the claim and get back to me. In the same conversation, I explained I was struggling to make payments on the membership. Karla created 1 pg addendum stating I was paid in full with $11,865. I called and sent emails about the $994.05 credit from Holiday Lounge and no response from Ascendant. On 8/8/22 Michael from Ascendant called to discussed me redeeming my $500 travel voucher. He said I need to pay $389 for 25 RCI points, book vacation(s), and pay RCI fees. I asked what was the purpose of the voucher. He couldn't answer and offer to lower the fee to $249 for the RCI points. I said no because that doesn't make sense. I asked for my addendum contract. He said he couldn't provide and a manager will call. In my opinion, Ascendant is a scam. They charge a purchased price and asked for membership but do not provide a service. They used 3rd party who required a membership as well- Need Refund

Ascendant Holidays On 4/1/22 we landed to Orlando and two days after that's when we went to meet you guys when it actually took somewhere between 5 to 6 hours

On 4/1/22 we landed to Orlando and two days after that's when we went to meet you guys when it actually took somewhere between 5 to 6 hours. As soon as Sal started talking to us about needed financing we asked if this would show up or affect our credit. He wasn't sure so he got his higher up which was Donald, He ASSURED us 100% that it would not affect our credit or our ability in purchasing a home this year. We went back and forth with him at least 3-5x asking this. He told us that it would just show as a inquiry and that's why we chose not to get the financial help through them, went through our bank and put down a down-payment to pay monthly. Through text on 5/27/22 he assured us that he started to talk to someone about us wanting to cancel and that corporate would handle it which never happened, we did not receive a call. The last time we heard from him was 6/3/22 where Donald said for me to check with our loan office if it would effect us from buying a home. After consulting with our loan officer he said this is a major purchase, he advized us to cancel immediately. Donald then tells us to go on our credit app and dispute their account from our credit report. We did this and the dispute was denied. After, Donald became really distant not replying to our text and hasn't updated us on any information regarding canceling our membership. We call Kate at*** ext 1063 on 6/14/22. She told us to write a detailed email about everything that has happened to us and that it would be reviewed and a refund would be returned in the way we have been making our payments. I have been calling every week for the whole month of june and july to get an update and eveytime they say someone will reach out to you and noone still hasn't . It's AUGUST 1ST and they're still taking money out of our account. All of this was said before signing. They understood this and They lied and manipulated us. We would like a full refund and to remove this from each of our credit reports.

Ascendant Holidays On 09/19 my husband and I arrived at Ascendant Holidays, to claim a freee trip that we won on radio

On 09/19 my husband and I arrived at Ascendant Holidays, to claim a freee trip that we won on radio. Everything sounded so wonderful! After seeing the facilities and listening to a talk for more than 3 hours, the manager M Suarez tricked us through promotions and gifts like cruises, RCI, all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean, sign a contract with offers that to this day are not true!We asked Mr. M on several occasions, if the offer of payment would have any impact on our credit report since we plan to buy a home, to which he assured us it won't affect. However, in October I received the unfortunate news that the company MONTERREY FINANCIAL SERVICES requested a "PERSONAL LOAN" for an amount of $10,688 authorized by Ascendant Holidays, a loan that we never authorized and that effectively had a high impact on our credit report. In addition to the above, Mr. M assured us that after 6 payments, our interest rate would drop to 7%, but after almost 1 year of paying more than $4,000, nothing has changed. I have called them multiple times since October, emailed them and have never gotten a response regarding this issue. We were promised the best prices for the vacation with a price match guarantee with an extra 50% off, cruises traveling in suite at basic cabin price (even when I called the cruise operator they asked me for the name of the person who said this because it is not true and multiple clients have mentioned this lie to them that Mr. M is responsible for telling. I have found cheaper prices on the actual resorts website as well as other booking websites thousands of dollars cheaper and the variety of resorts and hotels they offer on their RCI website are never available when I log into my profile! Due to the deceptive and dishonest sales tactics that were used to secure the sale, we respectfully wish to be refunded all money we have paid to date 06/16/2022, $4,326.19, remove any personal credit we never authorized, and cancel the contract.

Ascendant Holidays May 9 I received a call that I had won a 4 day trip for $99

May 9 I received a call that I had won a 4 day trip for $99. The catch was I had to attend a 2 hour presentation. May 23 my fiancé and I attended the presentation at Ascendant Holidays. The salesman explained the vacation membership and told us several times it wasn't like a timeshare and we could cancel anytime. We decided to purchase the platinum package. We asked the sales manager about canceling and were told once again we could cancel at anytime. I got approved for $11, 7000 that was applied to a RCI credit card. I was told my payments was $117 month and interest free for the first 3 months.I was told by the sales manager to contact her before 3 months and I could get a year interest free. She texted me her number. May 3 I was contacted for my welcome call. June 2 I called Ascendant Holidays to cancel my contract due to the fact I was joining the military. I was told to email my member service representative explaining why I wanted to cancel since it was after 3 days for him to send to a higher up person. I explained to him I was told I could cancel at anytime. I emailed him June 7 stating I wanted to cancel my contract. I was contacted and told I needed to be more detailed. June 12 I sent a more detailed email only to be denied cancellation. I was told going to the military wasn't a good enough excuse. I was livid because I was lied to. June 17 I made a $800 payment well before the July 5 due date. I got my July RCI statement and was charged $158.46 interest. July 11 I texted the sales manager about the interest charge and she replied back she would show it to the financial department. Since I didn't hear back from her I contacted Ascendant Holidays July 25 and was told to email the service representative which I did. August 4 I sent another email stating my monthly payment went from $117 to $257.46. I contacted Ascendant Holidays August 9 and was told it was sent to RCI. I have been deceived and lied to twice. I just want out of this contract and a refund.

Ascendant Holidays I purchased a product from Ascendant Holidays on 12/13 for $13,025

I purchased a product from Ascendant Holidays on 12/13 for $13,025. Shortly after our purchase, I learned that we received only 25 points, while we were told, & our documents seemingly indicate, we would receive 50. We spoke with our Sales Rep., & after not hearing back from his Director/Member Services, conceded. In August, we learned that our points would expire in January. For roughly the last 2 years due to the global COVID-19 Pandemic, our travels have been severely limited for our safety & the safety of others. My husband is a doctor who works directly with COVID-19 patients & we have made the greatest effort to stay safe for the safety of his patients, too. We were never told our points would expire within a year. We reached out to our Sales Rep. & Member Services several times, beginning in August, & never hear back from anyone. On 10/18, I called Member Services, again. The rep. apologized for the lack of responsive & told me he would take care of the matter & get back to me the following day. I never heard back. On 10/20, I called Member Services, again. The rep. told me that our points were "gifts" by RCI (a "fact" once again never made aware to us) that expire within a year. We also learned we could no longer use our points for Cruises (a major selling point for us). We feel lied to, misinformed, & manipulated. I asked how it could be possible that points were expiring given the global Pandemic & travel restrictions? The rep. replied, "The Pandemic only lasted through 2020." I was left speechless. Since 2020, the US & other countries have continued to be rattled by the Pandemic; travel restrictions & CDC recommendations against travel still apply, impacting leisurely travel. This rep., & frankly the company, dismissing such fact is truly unbelievable. Considering the above, as recommended by another rep. I spoke to, I emailed the company on 10/25 to request a refund. I sent a follow-up email on 11/1, & I still have not received a response.

Ascendant Holidays Got an offer for a 5-7 day stay at a beach if we attended a 1 1/2hr presentaion

Got an offer for a 5-7 day stay at a beach if we attended a 1 1/2hr presentaion. we went for the presentation and after 8hrs with juan and his boss we signed under pressure on June 18,2020. My husband and i just wanted to get ouof there, because we kept telling them that my husband was diabetic and had not eaten since breakfast. They told us our payments woul be $149.00 for 7 yrs at 0% interest. They did tell us that the membership fee was $50.00 every year and we would have 86000 point to use. After a loan person came in for us to sign they handed me documents with a loan with interest of 19.99% i said I would not sign that, because Juan and his boss said it would be 0%. The loan officer called Juan and his boss and explained to them what i had just said. they mentioned that the 0% was only for 6mths.I told them i didnt want it then. They called the owners son (supposbly)and he explained he could have the company give me a loan for 10.99% for half and that after the 6mths since i have great credit i could transfer that balance to a 0% credit card of my choice. At that point my husband was feeling light headed, so i signed just to get out of there. The next day my husband tried to get on their website, but couldnt because we didnt have a username or password. we called on the 19th which was a Friday, and the customer service rep could not find us on their computer. She said because it was Friday and we had just singed on thursday to call back Monday the 22nd. when we called Monday another rep said that someone would be the one to call us with that information.again we waited. while we waited i read the contract and notice we only had 3 days to cancell. I feel that is why they wait until those 3 days to cancell to give you the username and password.on June 26 Alva called us explaining all the benefits. again told her we didnt have username, she said wait a few days more. she told us that we had to pay $199.00 registration fee when make a reservation which we were not told. cc.still charged me 19.9 Account_Number:

Ascendant Holidays I am not satisfied with the poor customer service we received from Ascendant Holidays, and we were refused assistance during the pandemic

I am not satisfied with the poor customer service we received from Ascendant Holidays, and we were refused assistance during the pandemic outcome. My wife and I were pressed to purchase the Platinum package by 2 sales reps, a sales manager, a financial advisor, and the owner on February 8. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we have tried to cancel many times. We were informed that there was no way to cancel, even though we were affected with loss of income and we are not even able to travel to the places we want to go outside of the US due to Covid restrictions and policies. My wife and I can't afford the payments, and we weren't offered any sort of relief or exit options. We were informed that the only way to get out of the membership is to pay off the remaining $15,000 balance. We were also just hit with an annual fee of $200, and we were never informed of that. I spoke with Mary on 12/2 (our customer service rep who later introduced herself as marketing promotion), requesting to speak with upper management or someone that could assist us with cancelling. She first gave us a quick answer that her manager wasn't available, then she started to talk to someone next to her and claimed that he was IT support. She put me on hold, then a guy named Eddie (who was the IT guy that Mary was speaking with in the background of our call) randomly picked up the phone. He did not introduce himself as to what his role was to the company and why he was speaking with me because he had NOTHING to say about our account or assisting us, and just informing me that there wasn't anything they can do. We were never informed that we were going to be transferred and he quickly stated that there wasn't anything they could do to assist with the situation. They did not want to transfer me to someone that could give me clear information or assistance. We were not offered an exit option, a cancellation option, nor any kind of relief. The service with this company is unbelievably terrible. We do not feel safe travelling, nor can we afford the payments. We do not like this company and how they treat my wife and I. They are extremely difficult to work with and will do all they can to turn you away, even with a quick lie to avoid assisting us. We are not satisfied with this company because they are extremely misleading. This company has been nothing but problems. We would like to cancel our contract and get our refund since we have not used this program once.

Ascendant Holidays Misleading sales and advertising practice

Misleading sales and advertising practice. Due to Financial Hardship created by Ascendant Holidays Contract #*** Contract #*** Due to Financial Hardship created by this Vacation purchase Im forced to cancel my Membership. We decided to purchase our membership while on vacation to Orlando on October 17th. We expected to use the membership for pleasure travel due to my wife losing her job due to the Coronavirus pandemic it has created a hardship in our finances and we are not able to afford the membership at this time. Aside from my wife losing her job and creating a financial hardship we are not thrilled regarding the membership and what was promised. We were promised that we will be saving money while using RCI to make reservations to international locations as well as domestic travels. While doing research we concluded that most Caribbean islands resorts require a mandatory all-inclusive fee and the cost for an all-inclusive fee plus hotel and mandatory booking fee we will be paying more money than using any other vacation search engines. The differences in prices were between $450-1,000 dollars more than what *** offers. The main reason why we purchase Ascendant membership was to save money, travel more often, and have many options at the tip of our fingers. The information presented to use back on October 17th was misleading and does not meet the same information as stated on RCI nor on the agreements we signed. By not being able to purchase vacations at a discounted price as explained to use we do not need this service nor are we interested in continuing to pay for just a membership. We were promised a welcome package from RCI to have been delivered within 30 days of the purchase now it's been over 75 days and we still haven't received the package. This is very unacceptable as it stated in our contract that we will receive the package and now we are going on 75 days and still nothing. We were also told that we will be able to use our membership within 7 days after purchase we haven't been able to activate our membership due to no package being delivered. We signed a contract with Acsendant Holidays on October 17 Due to undisclosed information, we wish to cancel our membership with a full Refund. We signed up for a platinum Ascendant Holidays membership on October 17. We were given a lot of information and promised many things by agents we spoke to. After 3 to 4 hours of promise making we agreed and signed the contract. Initially, we were excited. They sent us home with a catalog of affiliated resorts we had access to. From there forward it was consistent battle to get in contact with anybody for help accessing our membership . After 60 days of nothing I decided to call and ask for a refund, I was asked to send this request in writing by email to the concierge Michael, this email was sent on December 7 today is January 5 and I still haven't heard back from anybody in regards to my request. We were not given sufficient information to make an educated decision on October 17 when we were pressured into agreeing to sign up with Ascendant. The information just keeps trickling in, and it is not what we were initially presented! We paid $14,820.50 in good faith, to a company we no longer wish to do business with. It is a company that offers misleading and ambiguous information to its clients. We were offered false selling points, omission of vital information, and poor management practices, highlighted by the slowness of processing pertinent and necessary information, regarding essential benefits. For these reasons, we want to cancel our membership effective immediately, and to receive a full refund of the money we've paid

Ascendant Holidays We signed a contract with Acsendant Holidays on August 8

We signed a contract with Acsendant Holidays on August 8. Due to undisclosed information, we wish to cancel our membership with a full Refund. We signed up for a platinum Ascendant Holidays membership on Aug. 8, 2020. We were given a lot of information and promised many things by agents we spoke to. As we said no, a higher level person would come and offer more benefits. After 3 to 4 hours we agreed and signed the contract. Initially, we were excited. They sent us home with a catalog of affiliated resorts we had access to. We received our user password and login information on Aug. 20. We logged on and realized that this information was only for the $399 vacations we had access to, not the RCI points we were also promised. On Aug. 22 we had a phone conversation with an agent who couldn't verify the number of points we were promised. When she was going through our file, she mentioned that we were gifted a platinum membership. We were told that we paid extra for this! We asked about an extra 82,000 RCI points we were told we received. She didn't know about this. Later, she was mentioned the Calypso Cay benefit we had. We said we were not interested in this. She said we could trade this in for 82,000 points and that is probably where the extra points came from. We were never explained any of this during our initial meeting! She had no way of finding out how to see how many points we had, as we would receive the needed information in a letter, by mail, sometime after Sept. 7! She couldn't tell us how many points needed to book a room. Although we asked, during the initial meeting, we were told not to worry about it. We had an abundance of points. She did mention that we would have to pay a reservation fee of up to $199 on reservations we made. This information was not disclosed earlier. We were also told we had to pay a $50 cruise renewal fee on Jan. 1, even though we will not have an opportunity to cruise in 2020! Additionally, we were initially given false information on cruise discounts! I told the agent that we were receiving conflicting information, and wanted to speak to someone about canceling our membership and receiving a full refund. She said we couldn't do that. She finally said that we should send a letter requesting this to her. We did this on Aug. 24. On Aug. 26, another representative called to give us a tutorial on how to access our $399 holidays. She couldn't help us with using the RCI points. After many questions, we learned that these holidays were not provided by Ascendant Holidays but a separate company called Vacancy Rewards. We were led to believe that they were the same company. As of yet, we still have not received necessary information to log into Ascendant's program accessing our RCI points. We are apprehensive as to what we'll "find out" next. We were not given sufficient information to make an educated decision on Aug. 8, when we were pressured into agreeing to sign up with Ascendant. The information just keeps trickling in, and it is not what we were initially presented! Today's agent did give us a number, which we hadn't been given before, to call Ascendant's customer service dept. when I said we wanted to cancel. I called and briefly explained my frustrations and desire to cancel our membership to an agent. She transferred me to a higher up authority, who was busy, but I was promised that he would call right back. We never received a phone call! We believe we moved as quickly and responsibly as possible, in light of the obvious lack of information we had initially received. We paid $16,075 in good faith, to a company we no longer wish to do business with. It is a company that offers misleading and ambiguous information to its clients. We were offered false selling points, omission of vital information, and poor management practices, highlighted by the slowness of processing pertinent and necessary information, regarding essential benefits. For these reasons, we want to cancel our membership effective immediately, and to receive a full refund of the monies we've paid.
