Very unhappy customer of over 15 years and 6 cars
We have owned Kia's for about 15 years now and many members of our family have owned a Kia and have been very happy up until the last 2 years. I have a 2019 Stinger that last year had to have new starter put in it that cost us over 1800 dollars. Then this year the car died on me on a busy road and we had to have it towed on a Sunday to our shop to find it was due to a recall piece that yes I missed the recall due to dealing with a daughter at 28 who had a brain tumor. So yes, life was very busy. When we found out the recall, we were told to have it towed to nearest Kia dealer but they wouldn't take it at the local dealer 5 miles down the road so we had to have it towed to Cincinnati that is 28 miles away costing us another 250 on top of the first 200. When it got there, they didn't want to fix their own recall and didn't want to fix the other issues that resulted from that fuel pump recall. We argued and at least got the fuel pump fixed in order to drive back to our own shop to fix other things costing us another 500 of our own money. I was told from the beginning to submit anything we paid for due to the recall, knowing they wouldn't pay for a lot but did expect the towing bills. We have now argued with them over invoices because they don't match what Kia expects of an invoice. Mind you we had to contact a third party for the first tow because it was a Sunday afternoon. I was able to locate the number for them and they happily provided us with their version of an invoice but to Kia that isn't good enough. So we found the actual company who was contracted and they provided us with an invoice but for a lesser amount because the third party had to may money also. In the long run we have learned that being good and loyal customers and devoting money has not paid off. We are very upset and can't wait to pay off the car by the end of year and will be walking away because our treatment has been nothing but disrespect and is even more sad that we are dealing with this and not allowing ourselves on focusing on helping our family through medical concerns which is what we should be able to focus on. We aren't asking for millions or even thousands especially since I could have been badly hurt when the car just shut down. We really just want our money back that we personally put out due to their faulty part.

Extremely Disappointed with Kia Carens – Major Breakdown in Just 3 Years!
I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with the quality and reliability of Kia Carens. I purchased this car brand new, expecting durability and dependable performance from a reputed brand like Kia. However, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
To my utter shock, the petrol motor of my car (Reg. No. GJ27 EA 2966) had to be replaced in just 3 years of ownership. This kind of major mechanical failure is unacceptable in a relatively new vehicle and clearly points to poor quality components and substandard manufacturing.
I never expected such a serious issue from a global brand like Kia, and it’s extremely disheartening that a vehicle with such a high price tag and brand reputation can break down so early. What’s the point of flashy features when the heart of the car – the engine – fails so soon?
Kia must take responsibility and acknowledge the poor quality of parts used in the Carens. I hope others think twice before trusting the reliability of this vehicle.

I bought a 2017 kia sportage it had 60,000 miles when I got it. At first it seemed great then I noticed quickly I was running out of oil all of the time. I took it to 5 garages over the course of a year and they all told me kia is notorious for high oil consumption there was nothing they could do. I have had multiple other issues happen because of the oil consumption. I can't go 1,000 miles before my oil is completely gone. There is an extended warranty on my kia due to the rod bearings but they want the engine to completely fail before they will repair it. I have three children and they want me to just be out driving and have me engine fail with my kids in the car and then have to have it towed to a dealership! I will never buy a kia again and hope no one else does either!

This car has been serviced by Kia Ipswich QLD since new. recently had an issue with the gears, took it to Kia, and the response shocked me. This is what I was told.
Have a problem in losing gears on my 2012 Kia Rio. Took it to Kia Ipswich, who ran a diagnostic test, which showed fault P0748, apparently this involved checking the wiring which would take four hours at a cost of $740.00, but, I should take it to another service company who have more expertise than KIA technicians. I couldn't believe a service company would suggest taking your car to someone else because they were better trained than their own tech's. Wrote to every Kia address I could find assuming someone would respond and sort the issue out, dream on, nary a word back. called at Kia and spoke to general manager and service manager expecting surprise and outrage at their service suggesting others had more expertise than them, but no, the service manager actually said "yes that happens, I have sent customers to a guy in Ipswich who works from under his house" This car has been serviced by Kia since new, so I was surprised at their reluctance to do the work. The car is still unrepaired sitting in my carport, no use to anyone. Today was the final straw, received a text from Kia telling me the car was overdue for its regular service. So be aware when buying a Kia you may have to take it elsewhere for repair. Third time submitting complaint. No response. Can I assume you are happy to tell people to take their Kia to other service who have more expertise than Kia trained technicians?
Recommendation: Great cars abysmal service.
Yes their customer service is the worst I ever experienced! Miramichi Kia insulted me, basically called me a liar, the original tech who was helpful was all of a sudden gone. Then told 1 months later he was taking time off and I couldn't speak to him. My car needs an expert tech to tell me what's going on. Clearly they are stalling because of 3 major recalls. Then I called to make a complaint and for them to investigate what was going on and she didn't take all the info. Said her colleague would follow up with the dealership.
Will never buy kia again!!
Before the main incident in October 2024, I started noticing several issues with my KIA:
-Delayed response to acceleration when at a light.
-Tire sensors and crash collision sensors malfunctioning.
-Lane assist pulling me off the road or into oncoming traffic.
-Intermittent power loss while driving.
-Lights not working properly.
-High beams failed to operate in September, and I was told by Burlington WA KIA that there was no fix for the recall during a service/oil change.
-Car going into parking brake mode without activation.
While stopped at a light or stop sign with the car in drive, it would go into reverse when starting to accelerate, causing me to hit a stump and partially tear the front bumper off.
About a week after that incident, while driving home from the store, the car started randomly pulling into the oncoming lane. Thankfully, there was no vehicle at that time. The car then started having weird fluctuations with the speedometer and dash info, jumping from 24.7 miles per g...,000 mile in april 2024 $700.00. Just after that went to add windshield wiper fluid and noticed barely any coolant in reservoir. How does one go thru that much coolant so quick. Also had oil change and was never told coolant was low. It's a good thing I opened hood to refill windshield fluid.
My kia is almost paid off and now a piece of junk. Being told estimated $8200 to continue wiring repairs and still not a guarantee that will fix it. Kia service dept still isnt sure whats causing it and insurance refuses to cover because kia said no sign of fire. Define fire: car didnt go up in flames but did have internal wiring fire that extinguished itself.
I notified kia consumer affairs and they have been no help either. Filed a complaint with nhtsa today and will file complaint with insurance commissioner next. I have been without a vehicle for over 2 months! Kia wants to charge me $50 a day for a loaner and insurance denied a rental.
Not paying another dime to kia until I have resolution!

Engine only lasted 58,000 miles
Sadly, I was in an accident fall 2023 and my vehicle was totaled, which I was not at fault at. My vehicle was paid off and I had no plans of purchasing a vehicle anytime soon. Being forced into a decision to purchase I researched and researched what would best fit my needs and had great reviews. I landed on a Kia Sportage after reading it was not unheard of to have some cars reach 200,000. I did not purchase a new vehicle it was used. I have owned the vehicle for 3 months and have put less than 500 miles on it when I started to have problems. The Kia was a 2017 so outside of warranty. Work was done at a Kia shop thinking I would be able to get assistance or Kia would stand by a product they made. I was quoted $15,000 for a new engine. I opened a Kia case number and was told that this was outside of warranty, and it was essentially my issue. No assistance was offered. When asked why Kia wouldn't stand by their product and this engine only had 58,000 miles, I was told on repeat your outside the warranty. I didn't own the car when there was a warranty, I've owned it for 3 months. I'm sure it won't do me any good but I am opening a complaint with Federal Trade Commision. Should this make it to anyone's desk at Kia, feel free to give me a call and let me know why you wont stand behind one of your products that has less than 60,000 miles!

Why does Kia's motors have problems after 100000 miles
Was a pround owner of a Kia Cadenza . Bought car with 14000 miles and have never had an issue great looking car drove better than advertised. Until recently when hoses to the radiator started leaking so no problem just replace the hoses and keep driving. Problem was that there was oil in the radiator finding its way in . This car only has 124000 miles on it and runs perfect after taking it to 2 different mechanics the unanimous decision is it needs a rebuilt or new motor which rebuilt there is a possibility that can't find all the parts and to buy a new one would cost in the range of 8000 dollars grant it I can still drive the car and hardly even know its on due to how quiet this engine runs . To find out I gotta give up on this car has prompted me to never buy another Kia product ever.Cause this is a common issue with there engines guess that why the are the only car manufacturers that offer 100000 miles or ten years

first I made an appointment for 1/25/2024 at Burlington Kia New Jersey. at 11am for a full service I have 144,555 miles on my car. so what ever it needs. I also asked them to look at the locks, when its cold out they do not unlock please do this in the morning so you can see well. With out calling me they decided to due my whole service this morning, well it would have been ok but I have know way to get my car now. I'm outside the deliver area.
This is upsetting because, I have a Disabled daughter hope nothing happens.

Then I need new tires on my car I was one of the very last customers 10 years ago to get free tires for life as long as I own my car. and they are CORRODED and at a number 3. so I'm told your policy is at a # 2 to get new tires. That is unexpectable I'm slipping and no Traction this is unsafe .

KIA XCeed hybrid Iceland

I have been living legally in Iceland for over 4 years.
Before deciding to buy a new car, I did a LOT of research and decided to buy a KIA XCeed hybrid (plate number MLH37).
I DECIDED to trust in the QUALITY of KIA and (I HOPED) in the PROFESSIONALISM of ASKJA.IS (for the part of Technical Assistance and Manufacturer's Warranty Insurance for my car).
PLUS, because I have always wanted my cars to run and look IMPECABLE, I have on two occasions bought products for my car from ASKJA (KIA, HONDA and MERCEDES Representative in Iceland).
Because the KIA Connect App installed in my phone showed me a warning regarding the 12V Battery on the car, I made an appointment at KIA/ASKJA to check the car on October 18th, 2023 at 08:00 (photo named KIA_APPOINTMENT)
I showed up on the scheduled appointment with the car in an IMPACABLE condition, and AFTER they checked my car, which lasted about 85 minutes (during which time from the ShowRoom I witnessed the intervention on the car) I found that the inner trunk support was damaged (as seen in the photos named 1, 2, and 3).
I addressed the person at the Office to whom I handed the car key at 08:00, asked him to take note of the damage and his response was INCREDIBLE:
"I DON'T THINK THE DAMAGE IS CAUSED BY ASKJA! HOWEVER, I WILL CHECK THE RECORDINGS AND I WILL CALL YOU TOMORROW”.
The next day (October 19th) I got a call, I was told that: 3 DEVICES WERE PUT IN THE TRUNK, THEY WERE LEFT THERE WHILE THE 12V BATTERY WAS CHARGING, BUT STILL... HE DOES NOT BELIEVE THAT ASKJA WAS THE ONE CAUSING THE DAMAGE.
I have requested the car to be returned to Technical Assistance, have those devices put back in the trunk to be able to verify together IF THE SHAPE OF THESE CORRESPOND TO THE TRACES (THE DAMAGE) PRODUCED IN THE TRUNK.
We were TOTALLY refused (my son and myself).
Therefore, following the refusal above, we went to the Police in Reykjavik / Iceland and filed a complaint against KIA-ASKJA and a Criminal Investigation File has been opened for damage to personal property.
AGAIN,
I chose KIA hoping that through the representative in Iceland I would have QUALITY GUARANTEE.
WHAT DID I GET?!
1. The car was taken from the ASKJA car park and brought into the workshop by the mechanic/technician IN WORKING CLOTHES.
WHERE IN Continental Europe (AT LEAST) when a car is picked up by its representatives (mechanics), BEFORE THAT, the very first thing that’s being done is: on the seat, on the steering wheel and on the place where the feet are placed, A PLASTIC PROTECTION IS PUT ON to avoid the car getting dirty while it’s being driven around the workshop and being checked.
AT KIA/ASKJA ... this DOES NOT MATTER!
What standards are you working to?
2. The tailgate of my car opens from the button included in the tailgate.
The ASKJA mechanic came RIGHT IN AND PULLED THE TAILGATE OPEN, then used (I think) the screwdriver and fiddled with the latch (I THINK ... to keep it open).
On the evening of October 20th, when closing the car, the KIA Connect App showed me the next Alert: 1 for the 12V battery and one for when closing the tailgate (showed in picture 4, 5 and 6).
I repeated 2 times closing/opening it from the button for the warning about closing the tailgate to disappear.
IT’S NOT THE VALUE OF THE DAMAGE that is most important to me, but:
- THE TOTAL UNPROFESSIONALISM,
- THE TOTAL CONTEMPT and DISINTEREST shown in solving the situation, making me feel at the same time DISCRIMINATED, me not being Icelandic.
When I said I would go to the police, the response I got was: ... "DO IT, GO AHEAD! "
I conclude by asking WHETHER KIA Korea or KIA Europe (with Representation in Germany) approves of such BAD ATTITUDE, such LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM, such QUALITY OF INTERVENTION and RESPECT TO THE CUSTOMER... BAD ATTITUDE starting from taking the car from the owner and giving it back.
I wonder IF IT WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE TO BUY A KIA CAR (not because of the quality of the car, but because of WHAT FOLLOWED AFTERWARDS).
I have been a HUGE FAN and owner of ONLY German cars for 13 years.
I have always owned the newest VW Golf models.
My last car in Iceland was a VW Golf 8 GTE hybrid, much more expensive and better equipped than the KIA XCeed.
This fall I decided to make a CHANGE and chose the KIA XCeed.

I am kindly writing to seek for assistance in regard to my vehicle. This vehicle was imported from UK by my late parents in 2019. There seem to be an issue with the hybrid system. A warning sign recently appeared: "check hybrid system, turn off engine". I cannot drive the vehicle as it does not move with the speed. KIA based in Fiji is not able to help me because this was imported by my late parents in 2019 and also they do not have the tool to diagnose the problem. I need help as I need this issue to be fixed. Incompetent/rude/scam/racism
On the 05th May 2025 I took my precious Kia Picanto for 180 000 KM/s service, my car was in a very perfect condition, running smoothly and loved it, I then took it to KIA Vereeniging for service, was told that my car needed a coolant flush which I authorised and then my clutch cable was adjusted, and then I was told that my clutch cable is not good that I needed to change it, well I asked for a quotation and was told it was not in stock, but was advised that it is still clutching I needed not to worry I should just order a new one which I did, paid R5,364.70 cash for major service, and then I drive away with my car for 10 km/s and parked it overnight and the next morning my clutch started to make a squeaky sounds when clutching, I called Kia and was told to bring it in for check-up, I meet the service foreman and he tells me that it is clutch cable, I then pay for clutch cable which costed me R2,329.70 and was told that after replacing the clutch cable the sounds will go away when clutching, and I wait for my car at Kia until they are done with the clutch, and I ask for a test drive afterwards which is something they thought I wouldn't ask for as I am now told that the sound is still there because the pressure plate is now worn out and I'm now furious because the car was still Okay when it came for service and then after they adjusted the clutch cable it is giving me problems and then I'm told it's a clutch cable and the next thing I'm told to change the whole clutch kit was quoted R13 000 including labour and when I started to complain I'm being given another quotation for R7856,70 AND I'm TOLD THAT AFTER REPLACING IT THE SOUNDS WILL STOP, HOW DO I NOW TRUST THIS BUNCH OF AMATEURES , and the clutch is not clutching well when I drive it worse part it was making a very disturbing and huge sound when reversing and then the service foreman has the audacity to tell me that he has nothing else to say to me, and was very rude when I told him that they broke my car, I am now stuck with a vehicle that is very noisy because of their incompetence, that foreman is very rude, disrespectful and racist to the core, just because I am a black person I'm being robbed and taken for a ride by this racist. I even complained when I was called by Advisor in Motor management solutions, but I'm sure my complaints went to deaf ears.

Transmission 2019 Kia Sorento
purchased car new in oct 2019 and never had an issue until march 2025. check engine light came on but didn't stay on - only shows up on ECU - P0741 for the transmission / torque converter - dealership and warranty co state that it needs a new transmission -ordered on March 11/2025 - as of today, MAY 7, no one has any idea where this transmission is. we were told that 126 were ordered directly from South Korea as not available in NA - have spoken to Kia Canada customer support many many times dealership many times - no one can find where the shipment is other than we were told it is on a ship - this is totally ridiculous and we cannot drive our car until it is fixed. Why doesn't anyone know where these are? We want our car repaired. Dealer offered to take it as a trade in on a new car but who wants another KIA after all of this bull crap they have been dishing out.

Vehicle returned from service with broken part and dirty.
Had warning indicators for high beams malfunction on 2020 Sportage bought new March 2020 and has 32,000 miles. Took vehicle to Kia Wilmington. Was originally told the battery needed to be replaced. Agreed to battery replacement. Got another call where service person asked if my husband was sitting down. Proceeded to tell him the front camera needed replacement and would cost $2,100.00. Husband asked if it was under warranty and told the warranty expired 1 month ago. My husband asked how the camera could have broken and was told probably by getting hit. Due to location of the camera, it makes no sense that it could have been hit. Car hasn’t had any accidents. When car was returned, it was obvious the service person had removed the front camera cover and tried using glue to re-attach it. In addition, there was greasy finger prints from where the hood was lifted to change the battery. Now, the sun has softened the glue and the camera cover is half off. Not really sure why a camera would go bad after only 32,000 miles and not happy my car was returned in the condition it was. In addition, the mechanic hinted that we may have to purchase a new vehicle before it was up for inspection next year because of the warning lights. He did then realize it wasn’t a check engine light and said it probably wouldn’t be a problem. Unfortunately, my husband didn’t notice the issue with the camera cover when he picked the vehicle up because it was broken on the passenger side. I’ve added a photo where you can see where the mechanic tried to glue the camera cover back onto my windshield. I didn’t take pictures of the grease on hood of car, just cleaned it off.

4/11/25, went to dealership to purchase a vehicle that was online, was told that it was sold the night before (I have heard this before). Sales person very pushy and inpatient with me to lease vehicle. Told him that I drive more than 10,000 miles a year so that would not work for me. More offers and persistence, I absented to signing a lease. I was taken advantage of because I was a female and alone so I had no guidance in dealing with any of this. So now I have this vehicle that will be well over 40,000 miles in a 3 year period & having to pay $4000 to $5000 at the end of my lease because the sales rep didn't explain everything to me.
I want out of this lease. I will go further with this if needed.

Engine 82,000 miles knocks
2013 Sorento has 82,000 on Saturday april 26 2025 going up a hill the Sorento went into limp mode. code said knock sensor you can hear a rattle knock noise from the motor. I was told these engines were recalled so call Kia dealership they said motor not recalled. This should never happen with we have kept up will all service on the Sorento. So if the engine all ready been replaced and it junk already so the issue was never fixed same failure.

Lack of follow up with warranty
I purchased a new Kia K4 in February of 2025 at Boardman Ohio, Ken Ganley Kia. At 4000 miles all 4 tires bubbled. first one and then the other 3. I changed the first one, but when the other three bubbled I knew it was a manufacturing problem or perhaps they weren't installed correctly. I called Kia customer service and they sent me to Pireli Tires warranty dept. Pireli said it is covered under factory workmanship and materials. I called Ken Ganley Kia in Boardman, Ohio and spoke to a salesman, Joe, who informed me that he helped a customer send this form about a month ago because of a bubbled tire. But when I went to schedule with the service dept, they said they could not find a form for factory workmanship and that Imust have hit a pothole. They refused to do anything. I am considering contacting the attorney general but hoping you will help first. A pothole would not cause all the tires to bubble and the dealer would not even help at all. For safety reasons, I had to go buy new tires asap. I tried getting an appointment at the Kia dealer in Hermitage PA but they wouldn't take me till May 12. We are a family of Kia. My mother and grandfather have Kias. I need your help to have justice here. The dealer also did not submit the paperwork for th plate and I am driving with an expired temporary plate. If you look on the BBB site, there are similar complaints. I am enclosing some photos but I have kept all the tires and can send more photos if needed.
Desired outcome: upon providing receipts for the new tires and photos of the old, I want reimbursed for the tires. If I had had an accident, it would have been a mess.

2025 Kia K5
I purchased this new car with 13 miles on it on April 1,2025. The week of April 7-12th brakes started with a heavy pulsating when applying brakes after driven several miles. During heavy traffic stop and go conditions made issue much worse making it hard to stop. I called and made appt to be seen. Received appt for April 22. On April 17th I went to pull out of church parking lots and when I tried to accelerate the car loss all power and would only barely move causing me to almost get hit. I continue to get on the main highway of New Circle, Road and the car would not pick up enough speed for me to reach the speed limit. Gradually accelerate to slowly sustain the speed I needed at 55. The car would not let you accelerate to pass you would lose the power. I called Kia immediately and told him I was bringing the car to them. I have not had my car. Alex Orr called me on April 28th my car was ready. I ask what the problem was and he said they really didn’t find anything wrong. I told him to take the car and drive it. he called me back in about 20 minutes and agreed. Yes, the brakes were pulsating. He took it back in the shop to supposedly take all the wheels off work on the rotors, but as far as the engine, nothing was done other than they said, they tweaked the transmission. At this point, I am very upset at buying a new car for the price I paid for it not even making the first car payment and only driving it for a couple of weeks and they seem to not spend the time to find the problems. Can I check out the reviews on these vehicles? One of the main complaint was the engine power was being lost. There’s an issue going on here I would like to see this fixed or give me another vehicle.

2019 kia sorento
My vehicle recently began shutting down. It was taken to Kia Motors service department and told that the oil is suffering from a situation that was a part of a class action lawsuit where the oil was being rapidly consumed. However, now Kia is saying I need to produce records of my oil changes from 2020 and 2021 to show that wasnt the issue in 2025 despite the warranty. I tried to contact Jiffy Lube which doesn't store records after two years and the information was never sent to Carfax by Jiffy Lube. I cannot locate the records. The engine is currently failing but Kia maintains they cannot do anything until the engine fails completely.

That does sound difficult. If possible, try to collect any other service receipts or documentation from the time, even if they are not from Jiffy Lube. Often, minor pieces of information or other repair records can help bolster your case. Don't stop advocating for more information on the warranty – you shouldn't have to wait until the engine in question fails completely to get answers. Good luck!
Unwillingness to extend warranty
I own a 2018 Kia Soul. The vehicle has 99,250 miles on it. I purchased it used in 2020 from an extremely "reputable" dealership in East Syracuse, NY. This dealership advertises about its impeccable customer service and 200K mile warranty. This was the sole reason I purchased my vehicle through them. At the time of sale, the warranty was explained in extremely vague detail leading me to believe that they stood behind their product 100%. At the time, I felt extremely cared for and valued.
While driving down the highway 3 weeks ago, the engine started to knock uncontrollably and stalled 3 times. Thankfully, I was able to make it home. We had the car towed to the dealership where I purchased it from fully expecting the repairs to be honored and taken care of under this amazing "warranty". Nothing could have been further from the truth. The warranty was not honored due to fact that we did not comply with one of the recalls that was not performed on the vehicle. Now mind you, I was advised of one of the 3 recalls (the anti theft recall) and complied with it, but the other 2 I was not advised of. When picking up the car I was told that the warranty was voided because of non-compliance of the PI2107 ECU Update and the SC226 update. I was told that this non compliance voided out the warranty.
When I went into the Financial office and expressed my frustration about this I was met with pure indifference. I went on to ask if Kia owned this particular 200K mile warranty and was told they did not. That said to me right there that this dealership does not care about their product or their customers. I was told that the car needed a new engine due to this non compliance. You can only imagine my disappointment and pure shock at this statement. A new engine with installation by them would be well over $6000! I had the car towed to another Kia dealership nearby and was told the very same thing. The car sits at my home now with an engine that does not work and I am beside myself as to what to do next.
I am writing to you in the hopes that you become aware that there are Kia dealerships within your network that are not doing the right thing. Had I known of these particular recalls, I would have made sure I had the vehicle serviced. I feel duped and misled and because of this will never purchase another vehicle associated with Kia ever again.
Dealerships like this should be monitored and called out about their deceptive and misleading practices. I realize it is probably too late for me to have a different outcome, but I feel people should be warned about these types of practices within your network that are ruining the reputation of your company.

Kia Karen and its service in Brunei
I bought Kia Karen 3 years ago. Since I bought front wiper was not working properly. I had to wait to get replacement about 6 months to get a spare part. About a year later, similar problem had arisen again.
I booked car service for Kia, through the sale representative I bought the car. I got appointment on 28.3.25 @8 am. I arrived there before 8 am. The front desk person told me that there was no booking for me and asked me to show the messages I booked. She said that the saleperson was not working with them anymore. I showed my messages to my sale agent. She said somehow there was no booking on her list.
In addition to that, she told me that I needed come back for checking wiper. I told her that I could not come back. I waited so long thus I asked her not to check wiper anymore. Car service finished only at 11:30 without checking wiper. I called the sale agent infront to them and let him talked with the front desk lady , and I overheard that someone who received the message from my sale agent did not put in to the list.
So I contacted my sale agent again and asked him that I would like to complaint about Kia's service in Brunei as well as wiper.
Soon after that I got a call from, Kia's after sale agent, who simply ignored my complaint and asked if I wanted to repair wiper. He said he was only "after sale agent', and so I asked if he could help me to whom shall I complaint. He did not answer, and I just repeatedly told that she was only after sale service manager.
So, I asked him if he could not direct me somewhere, shall contact Kia international. He replied to me that whoever if you want contact, contact.

Extremely poor Kia service. And excessive rates at $200 ph as opposed to $30 -$45
Hi, having trouble with my Rio, loses 1st 2nd and 4th gears intermittently, leaving only 3rd and reverse. If I turn off the engine and run the gear stick between reverse and drive it comes good, could last for hours or minutes, no way to tell.
Took it to Rio service Ipswich, where it has been serviced since new.They appeared a bit offhand and suggested I bring it back in 3 weeks or so and they would run a diagnostic test for $180.
The results of the test, found P0748 pressure control valve solenoid, require a wire inspection taking four hours and costing $800. [This surprised me, as I had checked a few Kia online blogs, and more than a few people complained about the same problem] They followed this up with a suggestion I would be better served taking the car to M1 Auto as they would probably be cheaper, this was false as they charged $200 for a test and wouldn't accept Kia's results.
I emailed Kia head office in Korea as you do not publish your email, tried phoning, as usual with large companies, wasted forty minutes moving from third in queue to first then being told you were experiencing an unusual number of calls, leave my number and someone would get back to me, this was two weeks ago, still waiting. Firstly, I am stunned kia would recommend another service company, suggesting they could offer better service than a registered Kia service dept. on a Kia vehicle. Next $200 dollars an hour for mechanics who have no idea on how to tackle the problem, but refer me to another company.
This is not the first problem I have encountered with this service department, an example, following a routine service the car was returned with the warning light for the A/B clock spring lit, they immediately denied responsibility. Strange it wasn't lit when I dropped it off!
I have said before, you make a wonderful car, but your service and customer support are abysmal.

There is a person at the kia dealership in penticton who has told me "because she dared contact the head office of kia"... That i'm never allowed to have my car serviced there again! I purchased my car there, the engine died, they charged me $1400. For their engine failure... And did more damage to my car! They disconnected the heated seats, they put a large dent in the passenger side rear bumper - then they lie about it all. A woman name "tesh" who works there - has told me that i'm never allowed to deal there again! These people are liars and theives and i'm tired of it! I do not abuse, swear, or cause harm... But that tesh certainly lies a lot! I'm not the only customer to have this problem with her! How can I have my kia repaired? I'm so sick of the run-around and the lies. Dealer stated to contact Kia. We called Kia and they said they would pay for repairs and to take pics of before and after and send in with invoice for reimbursement. I felt unsure that they would pay me back so I decided to get a couple of estimates. I was told by each repair facility that they could not just sand and prep the areas that are peeling because to have it blend, they would need to strip down to the bare panels. It requires 2 paint coatings because of the pearl. Repairs would be between $5000-$8000k. They also confirmed that, by the way the paint is bubbled, this is absolutely manufacturer issue. We spoke with Kia Customer Care and they are unwilling to pay for repairs.

I would like to raise a complaint against your agent at KIA Philippines, Jaya from Service Center at Kia Manila. I raised my concern on my car window defect (Sonet) not opening and brought my car to them for checking on January 6, 2025, at 7:30am. My car is still within its 1-year warranty. However, at around 4:30pm of the same day, I went back to their service center for checking and I was informed by Jaya that there is no defect in my car. She said that the defect was actually a "feature" of the Kia Sonet. This is clearly gaslighting on her part on my complaint. I am well within my right to have my car checked for hidden defects and to have my problem resolved. The SERVICE CENTER AT KIA MANILA is refusing to assist me on my problem even if I am well within my warranty period! I also requested for a written report on their finding that there is no problem with my car and they agreed. Upon reminding Jaya on January 9, 2025, on the written report on the findings, she feigned ignorance and did not already respond after that.
I am not the only client that experiences this concern. I am a member of the KIA Sonet Philippines Facebook group. Other Kia Sonet owners in the Philippines experience the same concern but they are properly assisted by the Kia Service centers in their area. KIA NEW MANILA, on the other hand, refused to provide assistance and is UNRESPONSIVE! They also gaslighted my concern and lied to my face stating that the defect was a "feature". I am a lawyer by profession and I will not accept unverified, made-up, and unwritten findings.

1st Kia Simi Valley Performed Dealer suggested 60,000 Mile service, replace the engine oil or possibly forgot to and gave us the sunshine treatment.
On July 17th, 2024, we took our 2016 Optima in for the 60,000-mile service, at the time the car showed 58,020 miles.
Fast forward to last week to where before a trip we checked the fluid levels to find out that we were almost out of motor oil and that it was dirty. Current mileage is 61,200 miles.
We cannot believe that after 3000 miles we would burn that much oil and have the oil look that old.
We were charged over $350.00 for this service that we believe never happened.

Kia service - door moldings
I purchased a Black 2024 Kia Telluride in November of 2023. The front and rear door moldings on driver and passenger side doors have both completely come off. I have been waiting for 5 months for replacements.
Each time I speak with my Sales and Service Supervisors, they tell me there is no ETA on these parts at all. I am riding around in a premium luxury SUV with the highest level trim option and it looks like my car is damaged on both sides.
This delay without ETA s unacceptable for a new vehicle. Now my Kia Connect Service is up for renewal. It by far, has much to be desired. However, without it, the audible navigation controls seem to have changed so I can't audibly search for a location without announcing a category. This is a ridiculous option for customers to use while driving..
In summary, I would like some courtesy for this embarrassment and inconvenience. The first consideration would be another year of KIa Connect courtesy service to start with.
BTW, at this very date there is still no idea of when or even if the moldings will come in.
