KIA Motors Infotainment system 2019 Kia K900

I have a 2019 Certified Kia K900. Vehicle infotainment screen blinks constantly, I have taken my vehicle to 2 different Kia dealerships in Tampa Florida. My cars has been in service for this issue 15 days and counting over the last year starting back in Dec 2021. This was 3 weeks after purchase. I have more than 15 videos showing the issue at hand. I was initally told nothing could be done until it was seen by a tech even though I had videos and other workers at the dealership witness the issue. I had to go to another dealership to get some resolve. The dealership replaced the screen i was told. The issue still remained. Reported the vehicle back to the dealership. Was told they have to witness the issue again before action can be taken. I was told the battery was the issue and it needed to be replaced. I paid 233.00 to get it done and no change in the problem. I am going on my 8th day without my vehicle this time and I am not getting any assistance with a loaner/rental. Under the CPO program for Kia. It is noted that I have loaner/rental assistance as part of owning a KIA CPO vehicle. I have not even received a call or text in response to my inquiry on this issue of a loaner. I own Kia's top of the line car 65K and not being treated line a top of the line customer. The infotainment system has been ordered but cannot be sync to the car another system has to be ordered. Again this is a year long issue that I am not getting total resolve on. The warranty for the system expires in Feb of 2023. I am not comfortable with the issue being resolved before that time. I would hate to think Kia would push this issue past that time only to tell me it is my responsibility from that point on when I have been patient on this matter for well over a year. This would constitute poor customer service from my view. What can be done in this matter? The issue with the screen constantly blinking is a safety issue while driving, embarrassing for that class of car. Not to mention where is the Kia quality/Service. Please help resolve this issue before Feb of 2023.

Desired outcome: Fix the infotainment system. Do not leave me with a substandard unsafe product.

KIA Motors Allstate extended warranty cancellation refund not received

Sold my Kia, on 10/8/2022, that was purchased in 2019 from Central Kia of Plano @ 3401 N Central Expressway, Plano, Tx, 75023. Their phone number is [protected]. I cancelled the Allstate Extended Warranty on the same day, 10/8/22. Central Kia of Plano received the paperwork from Allstate per the initial person that I spoke to at Central Kia. After several weeks to not hearing back from anyone at Central Kia I called again. That initial person that I spoke to at Central Kia no longer worked there. The person that I did speak wind up speaking to couldnt locate my paperwork and I had to resend it. I have called and emailed Central Kia. I keep on getting their excuses. I called Allstate who has send Central Kia letters as well about the status of my refund. It appears that Central Kia does not respond to Allstate either. No refund provided from Central Kia as of today, 1/4/23. Waiting for close to 3 months for refund is unacceptable. BTY refund amount is approximately $1,400.00 that comes from Central Kia and not from Allstate.

KIA Motors Kia Niro with Ferguson Kia

I purchased a new Kia Niro in 2017 from Ferguson Kia in Broken Arrow, Ok. At 106,000 miles the main battery quick working. I took the car to my dealer and was told the warranty was expired and it would cost approximately $3,500 to replace. I understood and agreed. When I received the car back in a few days, I drove it about 2 weeks and the battery died again. It was replaced at no charge. I drove it a few hours and this happened a third time. Of course I returned it to the dealership again, it had a forth battery put into it which lasted only minutes when I drove away from the dealership. It was returned and I explained I was scared of the car and felt it was very dangerous and I felt the automobile should be replaced.

I was told their was something majorly wrong and they would be talking to the Kia Cooperation. This all started in December of 2020. In late December 2022 I receive a call from a low level staff member, she stated to me that dealership would offer me $6500 for the car. Cars like it are priced at $18,000 on the market in this area.

I feel the car should be replaced by Kia. It is a dangerous car that could catch fire at any moment. If I'm to keep it, I should receive a warranty on the full car and all parts for at 50,000 miles. The tires have sat for 2 years and should be replaced also.

Ferguson was very good to me by giving me a loner car during the time my car was unavailable, but I feel the car I bought has major problems and should be returned to Kia Motors for study.

Again, if I have to keep the car, the least I will accept is a full warranty for 50.000 additional miles and new tires. Also, if it breaks down again from the same problem, during the 50,000 miles Kia agrees to totally refund the total amount I paid for the car.

KIA Motors 2018 Kia Sorento

The paint is peeling off the hood and hatch of my 2018 Snow White Pearl Kia Sorento and has gotten much worse since the attached photo was taken. Research has revealed that this is a common problem with this paint color beyond 2014 models. I contacted the manufacturer and was told that this problem was only identified for [protected] models and the paint was only covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles. I have spent a small fortune purchasing "car soap" and take very good care of my car. I paid, and am still paying, a lot of money for this car. I have a 10 year old Toyota Tundra that has better looking paint and it is very embarrassing to drive a fairly new car with such crappy paint.

Also, this paint color is three stage and is very expensive to reapply properly.

Desired outcome: For Kia to pay for, or reimburse me for, the expense of repainting the hood and hatch.

KIA Motors All windows not letting down

I have been waiting for 4 1/2 month for something to be done about my window not able to let down.

KIA Motors Stolen license plate

I purchased a new kia in May of 2020 and traded in my old car. Yesterday in the mail I received a traffic violation on my license plate from my trade in. After taking care of the violation, I called Holly Kia in Selbyville DE and spoke with Pete White, Pete's reaction was HMMM. I was transferred to title person who had gone home and there was no voicemail on the line.

The following day I went to the dealership, spoke with Pete and Ashley whose reactions were that it was no big deal, just go to motor vehicle with the bill of sale. Why should I do this since it was not my responsibility to make sure that a tag was removed from a car or turned into the DMV.

I am very upset about this situation and the lack of concern from these managers. I was told it was no big deal. Really what if someone is killed with a tag that is still reported to be mine.

Ashley is supposed to be faxing the sales papers to the DMV however did not offer to send me proof that this had been done so I will be checking on this.

It also would have been nice if the offered me something other than it's not a big deal.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and an apology, maybe even a free oil change.

KIA Motors Oil Consumption Whyyyy!!!

I'm writing regarding my 2017. The Kia dealer here stated that my KIA is burning oil. Base upon what I'm hearing from every dealer this is normal for this car. The cost to report is over 3k. If we know that there is a known problem why do we has the consumer have to pay to get it fixed when you guys are aware that there is a know problem with the GD1 engines. Unfair! I love my car but the fact that this is happening makes me not want to purchase a third KIA.

KIA Motors Service dept kia of raleigh

Service Dept Kia Of Raleigh Brought my 2021 KIA Seltos for its 12000 mile service to this dealer who also did my 7500 mile service. When we purchased this car at Fayetteville KIA in NC we also purchase extended service warrantee so there would be no extra charges. We were told everything is covered in full to well over 100000 miles right dow to the tires. This is why we added the extra amount to our payments. When I brought it in for service this time I had a service rep named John Hernandez who was very "curt" and quick to double talk. When they finished the service I received a bill for a total of$435.48 of which I had to pay $306.11. He tells me well we did a 15000 mile service which includes Wheel alignment $149.95. A/C refresh system for $79.99. A/C Clean and Ref kit at $118.49 In addition to the basic tire rotation and oil and filter change. That was Nov 18th. I really feel that I was ripped off and taken advantage of and should not have been charged anything with the service contract we have! Then on top of that I get a text from them last week that my car is due for service! It hasn't even been a month! My Vin # is KNDETCA25M7202103 if needed. KIA Motors Heated seats

We bought a new 2013 Kia Sorento with the comfort package. It's was a great car for almost 10 years. We were in an accident and it was totalled. We are looking at another Kia Sorento, but find they don't have the comfort package in the LX model anymore. I don't want a sunroof, as in the S model, so I can get heated seats. I think you're losing a lot of customers, in the north, due to this option being eliminated. I know you're losing us and we will be going with the Hyundai or Honda, but who cares these days, right ?

KIA Motors kia optima door windows

i purchased my 2016 optima new in January of 2016 at Jenkins KIA in Ocala,Fl. the vin number is JTBE30K163057361 -5XXGT4L16GG0011708 i now have 71,000 miles on it garage kept and all 4 of my door windows don't work .i believe you should stand behind this problem .and have my kia dealership repair the problem. Jenkins KIA in Ocala, Fl I have had it in to check the problem regulators and motors for windows

Kia Optima Door Windows Not Working!

I have a 2016 KIA Optima. And all of my windows are not working.

I've heard of other KIA Optima owners having the same issue with their windows

not operating. for sure it's a Regulator problem. What I don't understand is why

hasn't KIA resolve the problem. I called the Kia service center in Venice Florida

to find out if there was a recall on the window regulators. And their response was NO!

How frustrating it is not being able to open any of my windows, always listening to

the whistling of the wind all around the car. and this all happened in a period of one

month! Not only that, but there's also a 3-4 month waiting period for these parts.

My hope is that Kia would take notice and action to this problem.

KIA Motors Defective Engine

I own a 2014 Kia Sorento. It has 112,000 miles. Last week, I noticed coolant leaking from the engine. Two different mechanics have verified that the problem is a bad header gasket between the upper and lower engine blocks. This is a very expensive repair. I have an estimate for $3500.00. This should not happen to a car that is only eight seven years old with this low mileage. Kia should fix this problem. My case # is [protected] with Kia.

KIA Motors Kia sportage 2023

Hi,

i recently bough kia sportage from kia of hamilton, ontario. However, the dashboard system had a crack and i did informed them on the 3rd day of delivery.

Sales and service informed, they have order the parts and it will be installed in two weeks. Its has been more than a month, no one every called.

I would like to write a formal complaint in this regards and would need a sales manager to contact me and fix this issue. Really not happy with the quality of car, after sales service.

KIA Motors Sorento and telluride and dealership

In July 2022 I tried to trade in my 2021 Telluride that was $15000 over MSRP, sold by Capitol Kia in San Jose CA. I went back to the dealership that sold it to me and told them I'd like to downgrade into a Sorento SX. They told me I could do that and promised me it would be easy to trade my car in. I went back and forth about it for a few weeks and ultimately decided to go ahead. I told the salesman he could run my credit to make the swap as I was driving to the location. I had a 790 credit score and when I got there they told me there was so much negative equity in the car because it was so overpriced when I bought it that I would need to pay close to $20k to get out of it. I ended up not doing the trade and sold to Carvana instead because they only asked for $6000 in negative equity. This dealership was LYING about the cost of money I would have owed them to get out of an overpriced car they sold me. My purchase price for a Telluride SX was $65k and MSRP was $42000. I spent the next 6 months looking at car options waiting for the right one for me. I wanted a white Sorento SX. and the Winn of Fremont CA dealership and I settled on a price and since the car wasn't arriving until 1/10/23 they said I need to put a $1000 deposit. They printed out the amount I'd pay for the car I wanted and then I gave my debit card for them to take the money. I did this over the phone and hung up with them. This happened on 12/17/2022. I called back on 12/21/22 and asked aquestion and they had no record of me giving a deposit. I got in touch with the person I was dealing with and he said the car was actually reserved for someone else and I wouldn't be on the list anymore. They have no other trims and colors like I wanted so now I'm out of the car I was expecting to purchase in 3 weeks AND they ran my credit in the bginning to give me a quote based on my exceptional credit.

2 times in the last 6 months kia dealerships have promised me the world and printed out documentation to PROVE I was going to get what I Wanted out of it so they could run my credit and they never followed through. I have 2 large hits on my credit report due to their negligence and sneaky sales tactics. I value Kia's for my family due to their safety and performance record and I've had a kia for 5 years now and do not want entertain a different car brand. But this behavior and negligence is BEYOND manipulative and damaging. I still do not have the size upgraded car I need, and none are forecasted to arrive anytime soon, and I have 2 hits on my credit already. If I find a different car I want to get down the road I will have to get ANOTHER pull. I am simply irritated at what has happened.

Desired outcome: I would like BOTH dealerships to contact the credit reporting agency and reverse that pull. Trade my current 2016 sorento in to go towards the purchase of new SX sorento. Lease paymetn for 36 mo for new car at $600 or less/mo

If it’s really about your credit report and inquiries, there’s the little the reporting agencies can do , sometimes you need to go extra length with the because they can take forever to do the needful. When I wan trying purchase my Dodge Challenger , I had similar complaints with my insurance and I had to hire a nonprofit credit hacktivist team (webghost33 on Instagram) who sort credit report issues directly from the portal without going through any agencies . This is exactly what I would recommend that you do.

However the situation may be , your credit score is great as far as I’m concerned . And that shouldn’t stop you from getting the car of your choice . KIA Motors Key fob

When I purchased my 2023 Kia Seltos in August of this year I was told the second Key FOB would come to me via mail and I could bring it to the dealership for programing.

I HAVEN'T RECIEVED IT YET AND NO ONE KNOWS WHEN IT WILL COME.

I have spent more than an hour on hold today and NO ONE ANSWERED THE FREAKING PHONE.

What kind of service is this I can expect from KIA?.

This is my 4th Kia, one used, three new.

KIA Motors False advertising

I received an email that Gateway Kia in New Brunswick. The has send me an offer for my car for $18149.00 please additional $3995. So, before I went there, I called and spoke with Felicia to confirm that the price was correct, she said yes and I asked again and hear the manager yes, we are guaranteed it. So, I made the appointment and went. Yes, it was busy, but a sale rep name Kevin helped asked me what car and if I had a trade in. I told him what I wanted and told and show him the payout for my car. He took my information and not even 5 mins when by he came back and said they cannot offer me what was sent in the email and I told him that I called, and I was told yes, my Felicia and a manager. He said that it was not correct. And then told me that my payment would be over $600. oo. and that they could do anything for me. So, what was send was false advertising, second a manger lied to me and three they could of care less if I was there or not. It was like I was wasting their time. tell me how someone runs a business with liars and false advertising. Also was told Kia does not run any offers. They made me feel like an — hold. But that's not first nor the second time this happen with Gateway Kia. my email is [protected]@yahoo.com

Desired outcome: I not sure what I want when this is so uncalled for to have a company selling Kia runs a business like this. Yes, and I love my Kia Forte, but it would have been nice to have new one!And I did email them a like always never response.

KIA Motors 2013 Kia Optima Pearl White Paint Peeling

Hello, My 2013 kia Optima paint is peeling off the driver side window frame and now the passenger side is starting to peel as well as bubbles starting on the hood of my car. The peeling of the paint started about 8 months ago and keeps getting worse. The color is pearl white. I have been researching and looks like this a a common problem with this paint color.

KIA Motors Auto repairs

Took my car Kia van to All Valley Car Care-PHX with two problems. the air conditioning wasn't working and I had oil in the radiator. was told they had state of the art diagnostic which there would be a charge for but would be off set if I had them make the repairs.

I picked the van up the first time with a charge of 2650.27. was told that the radiator and all the hoses had to be replaced. I didn't even make it home, before the air stopped working.

Took the van back to them. Picked it up the 2nd time with an additional charge of 703.38.

A few days later I'm driving down the freeway and steam/smoke starts coming out from under the hood and my temp gage pegs all the way to hot. when the van cooled off I opened the hood and found one of the hoses that they said they replaced had blown off the radiator and the lid on the coolant tank was open. A tow company owned by same company picks up the van and tows it back to shop.

I pick the van up for the 3rd time with an additional charge of 519.86. a week or so later my temp gage again pegs all the way hot. and the same hose is off the radiator. Again it was towed back to their shop. I am then told it has a blown head gasket. and I should come down to shop and look at it. When I get there I'm told that I need a new engine. I told them no and to put it back together and I would have it towed home.

A week later I'm told I can come to get the van. I send a tow truck to pick it up and bring it to my house. when the van gets to my house the battery is not in van, the radiator cap is missing the engine is not mounted correctly there is no fluid in radiator or oil in engine. These are the things I can see just by opening the hood.

I have spent a total of 3878.51 plus 200 tow charge. for a van that is not drivable or suitable for a trade in.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the money that I paid to them for repairs. at the very least plus what the amount the van would have been worth as a trade it.

KIA Motors 2014 Kia Sorento @ Suntrup Kia St. Louis since first week of October

The engine on my 2014 Kia Suntrup seized up in early October while driving. We had it towed to Suntrup Kia in St. Louis on Lindbergh Blvd. While it sat in the lot for almost 2 weeks, it was broken into (doors left unlocked so no breaking in was really needed) and the steering column was damaged as it was attempted to be stolen. After proving we cared for the engine, the Dealership said they would repair the engine at no cost. Our insurance is covering the steering column damage but at the same time pursuing the dealerships liability insurance to cover as it was on their lot and uncared for. We are now without a car for 2 months and we get little to no updates from Justin the technician or Justin the Service Manager. They have been "waiting on parts" for well over a month and say there is no estimated time for shipment of those parts. I would like a quick resolution to this matter at this point as I mention, we are now 2 months without the vehicle.

KIA Motors The service

In June of 2022, my car was bought in for a brake change. I was told that I needed new rotors. It took a month to get my car from dealership. I was getting different answers as to when the rotors would be ordered. You get put on hold, just for the phone to hang up. Most times you get voicemails. So I get my car back in July of 2022. I had water in the gas tank from a store by my house. Car killed wouldn't start. Contacted my insurance company to file a claim. Car was towed to Kia dealership. I specifically told them there was water in the tank. They were checking the engine and told me they had to send the engine off to be broken down to find the problem. So since it was the engine they stated, I had to cancel my claim. I didn't have to come out my pocket to pay for anything since my car was under warranty. At the end of the three months the dealership finally told me that it was because of the water in tank. That was the reason I put car in shop. Get my car back in November. Next day it killed and wouldn't start again. Had car towed back to kia dealership. Was told that they had something foreign in the tank again. But the same person who I got the same gas with, had no problems with their vehicle. I was able to file claim with insurance but had to pay a deductible which i was not able to afford. Kia was not going to touch my vehicle without the deductible being paid. They offered me to apply for a loan for the deductible. I had no choice to apply. I would have been paying a note on a car that was not drivable. Or I would have left that car at the dealership and still would have had to pay a note. After another month of my car being there, I leave the lot and my car was shaking and smoking with a strong oil odor. I was told that I needed to new front tires. Went and got two new front tires put on car. Same problems with the shaking. I bought car back to kia dealership and was told my rim was bent. And that was causing my car to shake. Had several people look at rims. They were not bent. So I had someone go to the dealership with me to get some results. I felt like I was getting the run around due to me being a female. They was not properly fixing my car. They told several different stories. They didn't know what the issue was. I spoke with a general manager outside of the dealership. They gave me a rental because I stressed that I could not be without a car for months again. They told me the smoking was from the brand new turbo they just put in when they put the new engine in. And the shaking was coming from a broken thread on the back tire. I feel like they just put stuff on my car and didn't take time to make sure it was running properly when I left. Still waiting on my car as of today. I was trying to call to see when my car will be ready. They answer and don't say hold. I hold long enough for the phone to hang up or go to voicemail. I been calling all day. Still haven't spoken to anyone. I am fed up with and Kia and their service. I also feel like they overpriced that car for me.

Desired outcome: I want to get out of this car. But due to kia not telling that I was building up negative equity every time i traded my car in, I can't get out of it. I don't have no down payment. I have not been compensated with anything since June.

KIA Motors Lack of customer service

I was hit October 21,2021. My bumper was completely gone. I also had a broken, but working, passenger side headlight. Once I was able to file a claim with the other person's insurance, I took my KIA to the repair shop. I was told it would only take a few days since it wasn't a big repair (mostly plastic replacement). A week went by, then a month. Called to see what was going on and the body shop said they're having trouble finding a headlight. They were uncertain of when they would get one. State Farm called me and said from that day on (the day they called me) they're no longer covering the rental because so much time has passed. I paid out of pocket for a rental I wouldn't have needed had the other person not hit me; also, the bigger issue: KIA's parts being on backorder for MONTHS. The body shop was finally able to locate a headlight. I got my car back May 2022. 7 MONTHS I was without my car, because of a headlight. I reached out to KIA. I was told they'd reimburse me for the rental portion I had to pay since it was their headlight that couldn't be obtained. That was back in June 2022. I was told at the end of June my reimbursement was approved. September 9, 2022 I emailed "Elizabeth W" and updated my address. I also called and left multiple voicemails requesting a call back to verify she received my address. Two WEEKS later she says it'll take 6 WEEKS to update my address. Fast forward, it's now December 12, 2022. I've spent, now, over 8 hours on hold in the 8 times I've called KIA. "George" answers today and says I didn't submit all the information. I have email proof I submitted everything that was requested when this whole process started. He can't even reach "Elizabeth W" and can't answer why I was NEVER informed of missing information, despite an email stating my reimbursement was approved.

Desired outcome: I want the reimbursement I was told I was already approved for, not have to jump through more hoops! I asked for the rental car reimbursement only as the car repair was already paid for by the insurance company.
