the company, the customer service, and hp pavilion x360 convertible
It all started with needing to purchase a notebook. Chose HP for no specific reason. Should have figured it out from the frustration of trying to order one on line through the HP store. I had no success, so I gave them a chance and called the store. Got a sales clerk that just could not focus on how to spell my name, my address, and phone #, had to repeat it many times, but some how understood my email address as I was getting all sorts of advertisements from them, and my credit card # because the payment went through instantly.
I waited the 10 days for delivery and nothing showed up, gave another 5, then finally phoned. They told me that the shipping company had it on hold because my name, address, and phone # Was given to them wrong. ( yeah it was my fault I spelt my name, etc. Wrong) My question is: They had my email address, why not contact me letting me know there was a problem?
So finally cleared that all up, received the notebook and had nothing but problems setting it up. Finally had a friend with more experience, help. She finally succeeded after much frustration. So here I am happy camper as I'm travelling and 3 days into my travels having only owned the notebook for a week, it blows up. Call the HP Service and spent 3 hours on the phone getting a diagnostic check and they were able to fix it.
So again while I was travelling I find out this particular notebook has a recall on its battery. So I send it back to Canada to get the battery replaced. Got it back with a great expense of shipping fees. So now to date, Sept 19, 2018, my warranty pops up and they want me to renew it. I declined. Well guess what happens the day after I decline? Yes the touch pad stops working. Coincidence, think not! I called the help Center and after transferring me 5 times then told me I had to call another number. Finally got the right person and they told me They couldn't help unless I bought a warranty at a extremely expensive price. So I told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine! Not proud but it's just another company that puts out crap product, gets your money and continues to rip people off. I might be wrong, but if a company can fix your product by phone from half way around the world, don't you think they can get into your computer once the warranty is up and mess it up? Just saying. So here I am today with a notebook a year old that is half a computer.
printer office jet 6950
On 06/09/18, I changed the cartridge on my printer HP Officejet 6950 - Cost of the new ink: £88.96 . The printer did not print in black. I contacted the customers care department who advised me to buy a new printer. My current printer is less than 24 months old! The only option I am given is to buy a new HP printer so that I can use the ink, with the verbal assurance that " there are few faulty product" and a new printer should last more than 24 months. I asked for the details of their complaints or claims department and this information was refused to me as I was no longer under warranty. I did explain that an expired warranty was not an extinction of my consumers rights but to no avail.
hp laptop
After purchasing an HP Stream I discovered that I was unable to download the updates necessary to continue using this laptop, because the RAM was used up upon first operation of the computer. now totally useless. This item failed to deliver as expected and disappointed that HSN would promote such a product with so limited capabilities. Memory can not be upgraded and has very limited use from what was advertised.
officejet 5255
The printer seems OK but had problems with faxing called no help they hang up on you. You call back and they again hang up on you. Customer support is the worst I have ever seen. I will never buy any Hp product because of the lack of support. All started because cant fax large files call hp they say it is phone line so call phone people they say it is fine. This is over months of time i can scan fax but not feeder fax sound funny but not so funny. Buy new printer and guess what same thing call hp and get hung up on twice again now for sure I am done with HP. DON'T BUY HP PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU DON'T NEED SUPPORT YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN !

hewlett-packard / hp envy x360
Hewlett-Packard/ HP Development Company,
Usually I am extremely satisfied with the quality and precise eques performance of the HP development software. I am not putting this out there in the virtual world for all your competition to feed off of because I really have enjoyed my years of using HP computer/laptops/Tablets/Cameras/Printers ect. but I am extremely disappointed with this design of a 2in1 laptop/ tablet it has a bar of discoloration across the top of the screen, it freezes way more than my business has time! You have to push play a 100 times to watch my training videos, my conference calls cannot be understood because its is going in and out and I know every device can have a glitch and all of them may not well, this one does it is the HP ENVY X360 pen and I have no pen. I have the security software and had it tested for virus and malicious activity and all checks out fine but I am here to let you know it is not fine at all, not like all my other HP devices because I Buy them and test them out and Trip advisor and Yelp get my advice and feed back on all HP, DELL, Gateway, Sony, Samsung The pros an cons well I am a HP fan because my former father whom just passed would not use any other device unless it was Hewlett-Packard for his company, employees, and there families . So I am going to first try and resolve discretely, and hopefully which I know you will resolve my issue and that is the way I pray it works out because I do not want to down your entire business or organization standard you have earned because I know that nothing is perfect but your business supplying my world of business with its technology and devices to keep my investors across the world in China, Ukraine, and The United Kingdoms connected to us in the United States with the stock market my Thailand Marketing director is trying to push my corporate office to try Apple Devices says that they will provide fifteen of their best updated devices to have because they are telling me that i'm just not filmier with the IOS/ Siri system but that's why they will be provided with no start up charges for the first 15 devices and I did not say no but I did not say yes either because Hewlette -Packard been my life and life long commitment to the technology, that was perfectly designed engineered, no malfunctions almost perfect until this ENVY x360 / Pen is got me debating on wither I should change internationals virtual world designing systems to Apple/ Mac. I really hope telling you every expecting detail that I do not have to part with what my father loved and stood beside firmly. My contact number is [protected] and my name is Michelle Paige and I am livid at the whole situation.

unexpected charge for tech support
I called HP tech support and was bounced around to 3 different people. The last was "Diego".
I was charged $179.99 for a one-time fix and pitched a 3-time and a one-year "plan"!
There was no expectation of a charge until they had control of the computer and had done some work (unrelated to the printer problem as nearly as I can tell).
I had a problem with the HP printer which was printing in miniature off the web. At the very end of the 5-HOUR SESSION on the phone, the tech finally addressed the printer problem which was that it wasn't configured properly to be used with Firefox browser.
I'm not real tech savvy but I know that running graphs about the CPU does nothing but look impressive. They did that at the beginning, for nearly an hour while telling me I had thousands of errors, virus, etc. NOT!
In short, they will talk a good story, no mention of charges for what has always been free tech support... hard to understand, get control of your computer, pretend to work on the problem for a couple of hours, tell you that the charges are $$$$ and demand a card number before they will continue.
Have bought HP products for years. Never again.
tech support/possible scam
My HP Office Pro 8600 printer quit working between printing things about 5 minutes apart. I went to the website and started chatting with someone. She explained that I needed to give her my phone number and someone would call me. I did, and a woman, who's first language was not English, called me. I followed her instructions, and without asking me or telling me what she was doing, suddenly she had control of my computer. She did various things before telling me that several "foreign" entities were all using my wi-fi.
When I asked her what to do, she told me I needed to get a firewall between all the entities that were on my wi-fi. I asked her what this would cost, and she put a listing on my computer screen for $799.00! I hung up and turned my computer off. I don't know if H-P is going into the scamming business, but it was their website help that connected me with that person.
Now, I can't use my HP printer with that computer. I also cannot find any way to email a complaint to HP!
I also had something similar happen to me. A month ago I bought a Envy Photo 7855. The printer, copier work fine but every time I tried to scan to my computer, I had to run program and go through several step to get anything scanned to my computer desktop. The printer instructed me to go online to 123.hp.com. I did this and before I could blink once the chat popes up with someone asking how they can help. Never had this happen before usually chat doesn't start unless I click on the option to chat. Anyway, so I explain to the person that I went onto site to see what steps I needed to do to get the scanner working properly. She asked for my name and phone number. Within 10 seconds she called and told me she would connect me with a different department. She did and a second person, this person like mentioned in complaint above took over my computer, also indicated foreign addresses trying to access. Also mentioning me needing to get firewall. Taking me to a site on my computer (not comfortable that the person was able to access sites and that my computer was not under my control) to show me how much firewalls would cost, but that since I was a customer I could get it free through them, made a list of things that they would do for me free (I had asked how much it all was going to cost, his reply free) But the list consisted of the firewall, cleaning up my hard drive installing extra security beyond my Norton and on and on. Then it all became clear what was going on when he then stated that to do a one time fix would be $175 or I could purchase a one year warranty for $199 or 2 year warranty for $299. All I wanted was to get my printer to scan! What made it worse is he wasn't going to take no as an answer. When I told him I would not be paying any money for them to get my product to do what it is suppose to do he started talking to me in a condescending manner. I once again told him all I wanted from him were the steps I needed to do to get my printer, copy, SCANNER, fax machine to scan to computer! he then says for me to hold on so that I can talk to my manager to see if I can make you a deal. Before I have a chance to say no he puts me on hold. Comes back and claims his manager told him to offer me $50 off any of the warranties or off the one time fix. By this time I am extremely irritated. I again informed this person I refuse to put money out for them to tell me what I needed to know to get it to scan. HP use to be a company you could rely one and their products top of the line. The times have sure changed
customer/support service
I purchased a HP laptop a few years ago and it developed a problem on running so I did a restore to restore point that was 2 years ago. I kept getting error that I needed to active my Windows 7 but had no Product Key to do it.
I contacted HP who I purchased the computer from and there solution was to offer to help me if I paid them money. I bought the computer from them it included Windows 7 OS but I guess it is only good for a while with HP equipment.
If you have a problem it will cost you money for HP to help you with there own product
ink cartridges, 902-xl, 902
Have noticed when using my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 with the ink cartridges I am having many reactions when coming in contact with the ink from these cartriges. Dry mouth, difficulty swallowing, tingling in extremities, numbness in fingers, eyes burning and very dry. Have others complained? I know from Consumer Affairs HP is not accredited. Maybe that is why your tech reps. are so difficult to deal with because they know you (HP) are not accredited.
Resorted to contacting HP Corporate. A wonderful representative of that company acknowledged my complaint and in the end the resolution was a return of my product and my money back, not the entire amount since I had owned the device for three months. Nevertheless a good refund. This representative was accommodating and serviced me in a very professional manner, honoring my request for a refund. HP will damage (I believe) the device upon receipt. This is normal procedure and resolution only took 2-3 days. This is how it is done when corporations want to keep customers. In the end “The Customer is Always Right”.
envy 4520 printer and ink cartridges
Called HP Customer Support today, 5/16/2018, because one of my two printers is only printing out blank pages. I bought it a little over a year ago, have an extended service contract, and it still has the original ink cartridges in it. They are about 80% full and have expiration dates on them some time in 2019. Clearly, I don't use this printer much. After much messing around, the Customer Service representative decided the ink INSIDE the printer had dried up, blocking the flow of ink from the cartridges. She then tried to sell me a new printer. Annoyed, I told her that if I bought one, it would not be an HP. FYI, my other HP printer is also having dried up ink problems, this time at the connection between the black ink cartridges and the printer. This second printer only prints out gray instead of black. I've been a long-time HP customer, albeit a minor one, but I really think I deserve better products than dried up ink and printers that can't be fixed by the Customer Service people.
computer hard drive
In April 2017 I purchased a HP computer on line from Best Buy for 449.00. It was an I7 that normally would have sold for 700.00 or more. The born date was 4/20/17. A couple of days before April 20, 2018 it died without warning. I brought it into a Best Buy and they told me it was the harddrive and could cost 350.00 plus shipping to have it evaluated and fixed. Although it was only a few days after the 20th when I was able to get to the store it crashed prior to that. However they would not honor any part of the one year warrenty. I am extremely disappointed in the function of this machine and definitely expected it to last more than a year. Besides the inconvenience I have lost valuable information. I look forward to hearing from you with a positive compensation.
Thank you, Roberta Anderson
laptops
I recently purchase HP17bs061ST laptop from Best Buy, had to wait a few days, they were out of stock. Got it home, went through start up, moved my chrome to it,
all okay. Next day computer went into blue scree PC ran into problem needs to restart error, continuos loop.Contacted HP tech support, after multiple hours on phone they had to do a remote system restore. Worked for two days and back to blue screen
Called tech support but decided not going through that again, returned to Best Buy
I liked the computer, screen size price, was going to get a replacement but they were
out of stock so took refund. Found one on Staples website, ordered one, thought no way I would get another one like that. Boy was I wrong. Same thing, went through set up, all good, set up my chrome, did some things, put it down came back and same blue screen error loop. WTF there was no way I was going through tech support nightmare again, packed it back up for return to Staples
Something is wrong with this, I have wasted lots of time and my patience has run out
I should be compensated for my lost time
new hp pavilion 24 all-in-one
This 1 month old computer starts up fine and is totally quiet. Then out of the blue will "throttle" and run very loud. When that happens, it just hangs up. This happens sometimes early on or it might not happen for hours, but eventually it does. It doesn't matter if there are multiple applications open or if I'm just on a website.
4 support calls, hours spent on the phone, hours spent running tests, updating bios and even a windows reset, have not solved the problem.
Here is what I have gone through with this "New" computer.
Support call #1 4/20/18 - Problem: Fan/Processor throttling and loud noise, then pc fails to respond/locks up. Tech updated bios and then said would call the next day to see if fixed. He also asked me to run the HP Support Assistant extensive system tests which took several house. I did, and everything PASSED. This didn't solve the problem. I was assigned case #[protected]
Support call #2 4/22/18 - re: same issue case #[protected]. Tech asked me to run extensive system tests from the bios and to call back when finished. This took several hours and test results all came back as PASSED. Problem still happening.
Support call #3 4/23/18 - re: same issue case #[protected]. Tech suggested I had multi antivirus but I didn't. I had Avast antivirus and Malwarebytes anti-malware. They run on my several other computers flawlessly. He then started tweaking/changing settings within the system then all I got was the "Blue Screen of Death". Computer would no longer boot into windows. He said I should reinstall windows. This was taking a very long time and I had to leave for an appoint. When I returned, I had an email stating that my case had been closed. I feel this was to cover up errors from the tech. I was left with a new inoperable computer. I then had no choice but to reinstall windows in order to be able to boot the computer up. The problem happened again.
Support call #4 4/25 - re: same issue. I was assigned a new case #[protected] for the same ongoing problem. The tech was going to do the exact same bios update. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was shocked that I was asked to reinstall Windows. Since the bios was already up to date, a box will be shipped to me to send the computer back to HP for repair.
I'm hoping that given the hell I've gone through with this month old computer, that HP will do the right thing and replace it with a new one. I will not trust or feel confident getting it back "repaired". I've purchased lots of HP printers and computers over the years and I actually purchased two of these Pavilion 24 all-in-one computers about the same time. One for me and one for my husband along with currently using two HP printers.
If this computer is only repaired and I'm not sent a brand new computer, then this will most certainly be the last HP purchase I will ever make.

Have had a wide range of symtoms when handling printed paper, copies, etc. from this device.
Eyes blurry, temples pounding, extremely dry mouth, extremely chapped lips, [censored]ly sensations down my back, tingling fingers and feet, cold sensations in legs and arms.
Has anyone else reported these symptoms?
hp pavilion laptop piece of [censored]
We bought a laptop in october 2017, the laptop started crashing with hard disk failure at random. We sent it for repair the first time and after it was repaired and sent back, the laptop crashed within a week.
This happened multiple times, hard drive crash with in a week of repair. We are being harrassed with non sense never ending repair process. They are harrassing us when we ask for refund, not talk about it at all. They want us to keep sending the laptop for repair twice a month so that they can buy time until warranty period expires and start making money.
This is absolutely disgusting, i now officially believe HP products are absolute piece of [censored] and has the most disgusting ethicless business ethics. They don't give a [censored] about customer satisfaction or complaints. They hang on to the money we pay so hard, that we have to feel frustrated and helpless and follow their process, feel helpless.
Please do not buy hp products. I would request everyone to stop buying any hp product and make the company go bankrupt and thrown out of business. Customers deserve better brands. I have never had issues with lenovo and acer laptops. They are the best.
HP is a piece of crap. Hate it
hewlett-packard products... all
I bought a computer and used very little before all the pop ups.. as well as buying a all in one printer and replaced the ink in it for the second time. and now wouldn't run.. it tells me to contact support. and then they told me that it's a throw away. Wow after spending 300+ dollar's I would never own a nether Hewlett-Packard product again. It's a dam shame how big money runs the world...I just don't believe how they treat people and all we can do is take it in are wallets. and all they wanted to do is sale me more products... I have a couple of words for them...just can't use them on here...from consumer

customer service - printer setup
The HP setup utility was not finding my new printer to set it up (wireless), so I started a chat session I was told that my device drivers needed to be cleaned up as over time bad things had been able to access & invade my existing drivers & I would not be able to connect a printer to my wireless...they then told me it needed to be done by a "certified" technician & the charge would be $200.00, when I challenged what they had told me they simply said "that is the fix" and asked me if I wanted to do it. When I refused & called it a scam & wanted the name of the person I was talking to & the name of the 3rd party company they would only give me a fake name "Harry Stinson"...the person I was talking to was obviously of India decent..when I challenged his name he told he was not allowed to give me his real name. I then went to the printer and manually set it up connected to my wifi & was printing in less than 3 mins.
I suggest you check out this "Harry Stinson" & the 3rd party companies you are using to support your products.
Anyone reading this, please don't fall for this $200.00 scam.
