Home Depot Online has changed their sign in process to a Two Factor Authentication process. You put your user name/email in, then your password. When that is accepted, a screen tells you that a verify code will be emailed to you to verify who you are. I have contractors at my house waiting for materials to be shipped and I can't find out the disposition of them because I NEVER get an email with a verification code.

I've contacted Home Depots IT department on many occasions in 4 months of having this problems and they have never been able to fix it. I got in touch with a manager and he realized the problem is on their side and after 6 days, I could get back in to my account, however, I lost all of my order history for my insurance company. 3 weeks later, as of today, [protected], the same thing is happening and as of this writing I am still waiting for a verification code.

The main complaint is there is no way to contact real troubleshooters for Home Depot and just to contact the people I have contacted has been a fiasco in and of itself. I spend a lot of money there and they are making me miserable. What was wrong with a regular SIGN IN?

Desired outcome: I would like Home Depot to cancel their Two Factor Authentication or fix it soon. I have contractors at my house waiting for materials and no way to check the disposition.

It's super annoying to have to get a code just to log into your account to place an order. No one else does this. I've always had a problem with Home Depot and their online login

I totally understand where you are coming from Dede T. I used to feel that way until I became a victim of identity theft. I personally wish more companies I deal with would offer 2-Step Verification. It's annoying, but it makes me feel safe.

Cannot log in to my Home Depot online account. Verification code never received after numerous attemps. Contacted customer care and tech support with no resolve, Just a run around in circles. Cannot even order as guest. Had to go to other sellers for supplies. I feel totally cut off by Home Depot now. No response online for current ordering or past files.

Home Depot should give account holders the option to turn on 2FA if they want it. I needed to make an online order and NEVER got the verification code email. Finally called CS and Carlos placed my order for my and got my Military Discount. Now if IT was as good as CS!

Tonight I found out that my 2FA is disabled. Couldn't enable even with CS help. Grrrr

Earlier tonight I was unable to make online purchase on said site. CS came to the rescue but why oh why it has to be this complicated? HD site is full of glitches. I'm very disappointed

Tonight I was unable to activate 2FA on HD website. Had to involve CS who said she'll submit this problem to somewhere in the HD debris. Not exactly her words but I am so pissed. This happening despite me having a history of my HD shopping cart being hacked. Caught in time bc I checked balance on my credit card.

Earlier was unable to place an online order so CS sent me a form by email and then it worked. Why oh why everything on HD website has to be so complicated?
