On September 24, I received a portion of a $6,600 material order that included cabinets. My cabinets have been shipped in multiple deliveries, which is understandable. However, what I cannot understand is why the shipment was not properly secured inside the box truck.
My first delivery arrived without issues, but today's delivery was a different story. When the back door of the truck was opened, I observed three cabinets positioned as though they had simply been thrown into the truck. I approached the truck and pointed out the available load rails that could be used with straps or shipping bars to properly secure the cabinets during transport.
The passenger of the delivery crew responded by saying, "We deliver on skids, and it's not my problem." He then went on to state, "I don't care about your cabinets or the money you spent on them." When I attempted to continue the conversation, he told me to stop talking to him.
After the cabinets were unloaded, I pointed to my garage and asked if they could place them there. His response was, "No favors for you."
This level of customer service is completely unacceptable. Regardless of company policies regarding delivery locations, there is no excuse for treating a customer in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. This individual would benefit from additional customer service training, particularly in how to communicate courteously and professionally with customers.
I am extremely disappointed by this experience and frankly shocked that this has become the standard of service. I expect better treatment and greater care when delivering products of this value.
WOW! I can't believe this is considered acceptable customer service today.
