09/09/23 went to purchase fence block and bags of mortar, concrete ect. About a pallet worth of material upon leaving job buddy said your going to home Depot oh man your going to be all day they will make you jump through hoops and still won't help you. Then a feeling came over me about the last time I went to the depot and recalled a real long drawn out stress full encounter and thought no don't be negative it's just down the street I'll get what I need in and out back to the job get to work and get er done. Went to counter was told go to customer service ok fine the girl who took my order was very polite helpful and took the order in very reasonable time then gave me my receipt and change ok that was good but while I turned away I asked is there a way someone with a fork lift could bring out to my truck the pallet of block I purchased and bags of cement and mortar ect. And her response was well let me see how busy they are we are kinda short handed ok reasonable but I noticed lots of employees just kinda walking around talking to one another fine. I understand maybe this guy or that guy isn't forklift certified ok but lots of people on floor doing nothing still ok not my place to get concerned someone should but not me. At that time I approached a guy and said could I get some help with this order he looked at ticket and said man we are busy and added why don't you go get the blocks put them on cart and load them. I thought maybe he doesn't know there's also 12- 80 lbs bags of mortar and concrete with a flat bed truck semi with high bed and air brakes the bed is 5ft. High and that's a lot of lifting loading climbing up down then I knew this was going to be like getting blood from a rock so while I was walking looking for guy who checked my ticket and said get a cart he's talking to guy on forklift in back of store they looked my way they the other. I then go back to ask counter help noticing fork lift sitting in back next to the guys talking to a guy on forklift out front by where I need my material brought there's another forklift with guy sitting on it looking at a phone so I approach him show him my ticket he said oh ya block that's you I said finally after being there for over a hour I might have this under control he goes and says pull up here I do and he's gone for about 20 mins I see him with a pallet of block but not the block I ordered a full pallet I gesture no those are not my block he then rudely took his hand and flagged me out of the loading area he just told me to pull in I had to get out move cones pull out and park out in lot at this point he waves this truck of a guy who I noticed came to store about 35 mins after I arrived to home Depot they loaded his pallet and I waved hey am I next they went inside the store after closing the load area chains and slammed the roll up door not even as much as given me the finger. At that point I thought man this is a multi million dollar company and this kinda stuff is like so unsettling. Thought of who could be in charge of such a simple process and how could it get to this point that use to be home Depot had super grate people wanting to help in any area would ask to help couldn't wait to help and follow through to now people avoid you and act like they don't know your waiting with ticket in hand and the people who I asked for help looked at my ticket and told me to go load a cart how and who is the person who works for a major company should be a person of some authority not noticing what goes on here. And how it would bother me to no end and not sleep at night to know my personal in the customer service business is totally out of control how much does that person make financially it blew my mind not that they don't help me but how this must go on day in day out like as if it's easier to just turn your back to customers rather than earn honest living get results build business have people admire your team work and be noticed on a work ethics constantly improving from just looking at the picture. At this point I say to myself I'm going to have to just move this stuff myself grab a cart go into store pass forklifts with people sitting on them doing nothing other forks sitting with no one around the guy who originally took my ticket is now walking in the store right passed me as I'm loading block on cart holding some girls hand passes me 3times. I get pallet with amount of block I need and see the original talking on forklift guys still sitting on forklift talking to one another. I start to get the 80 lb bags of mortar carry them one at a time to pallet of block I built about 70 yards from second shelf down to on my shoulder to down around corner and on to the pallet that still hasn't moved and I still have 20 more bags to move and 18 - 8x8x16 inch block to gather on cart and bring to the pallet that could have easily been brought to the 4 different locations and simply added to pallet from hands reach to stacked and out the door. Done in a matter of 15 mins at very most. Instead I have been at store for hours and begged home Depot workers to simply fill my order I have moved block and bagged materials from different areas to now the final pallet just needs to go to my truck I point out to one of the guys originally with the other guy who told me to get a cart that hey I have all the block and concrete and mortar all on pallet ready to go just needs loaded he than left about 15 mins later comes with stand up fork gets the pallet pulls it out from under the pallet rack drops it Infront of where he pulled it and drives off. I almost hung myself in but instead went back to counter lady no longer there had to explain the whole thing and she said you already picked this stuff up. She could tell after she said that probably because of my eyes bursting with I don't know lighting battery acid or whatever but she called someone and said there's a pallet of block a gentleman needs moved could you help him he said it was going to take a minute he was busy I said ok I'll wait by the block I then see the guy that was one of the guys originally loaded the guy when I was thinking hours ago the pallet of block on the lift was mine and pull into place to get loaded only to have the fork guy give me this look like I was totally putting him out and he just interpreted me as I was telling him that wasn't the block I ordered he waved his hand and said move that was it. So finally it's like a whole other shift of workers now and trying to get this pallet in the back of my truck here comes a guy who has must have had a delay reaction because he was the first guy I said could you help me and he left never seeing him till hours later. Maybe this happens every day think of the amount of money this company could potentially have just by change of leadership management and having good members who care and want more weather it's recognized money or pride in knowing your position has stakes in over all company profits and the better you do the better the people around you do. You have a very significant problem that takes away from all. Fix the problem run that multi million dollar company like it is one. I will never go through this again it happens every time I go there and getting worse it's sad to see that so little detail brings so much more negativity and settling for passiveness rather than the bigger upside of good grate greatest.

Desired outcome: Fix your problems a
