Home Depot Damaged order from delivery, Manager does not want to help.

Good evening. I visited the Home Depot in Katy, TX yesterday and purchased a Nexgrill Grill to be delivered to my home the following day. The grill was delivered today however it came in looking completely different than the previous day meaning it was all dented, scratched and missing 3 of the burner covers! I tried to call and speak to someone on the phone all day and no answer at all. So I went to the store and spoke with the manager. The manager on duty was named David. He told me that there was nothing he could do. He said there is no truck that can come to my house to pick up the grill. I don’t have a big car and I just moved here from FL and don’t know anyone with a truck. He mentioned I could rent a truck but that I had to pay for it. I mentioned that it didn’t seem fair that I had to pay to rent a truck when the delivery truck dented my product. He still said I had to pay to rent the truck. I was not expecting that type of customer service and so I was not prepared with another person to rent a truck, go to my house, pick up the damaged grill and come back. I didn’t like my experience and now I have to take more time out of my day to do this.

Desired outcome: To not have to pay for the rental truck.

Home Depot appliances

Hello. I am having major issue with you store on Val Vista in Mesa, with 0 help from any of your employees.

I am in dire need of appliances I purchased over a month for my rental unit.

I have renters that were to move in Monday, now next Monday and your store is still telling me I cannot get appliances.

I had asked Lori if she can find me something comparable so I may move in my rentiers as Im losing money each day.

I received a call back from her today with 'GOOD NEWS" she found me appliances but i have to the pay difference in price because they are more. When i explained I was not going to do that, now there is nothing anyone can do for me.

I have used your company on three different jobs in the last few months and possibly windows and nothing has been satisfactory. Home Depot will not eat a mear $300 to fix this for me. Unbelievable.

See my many emails I have sent to your corp. office this week with 0 response.

Things happen and i understand that but three times in a row? Its been extremely inconvenient for me as I'm sure you understand that

5pm yesterday I get a call form your delivery people stating they were at my address and no one was there ?

I told them my order was cancelled, they got a bit upset stating that had two appliances at my front door and i was not here. I do not live at that address and was over an hour away so they left.

At this point I am beyond frustrated with the delivery options at home depot, and I am requesting to use a third party.

Please look at my records and see who delivered my dishwasher a few months back and please put me in touch with him. I am no longer able to take off more work and sit for hours with a "TIME FRAME" of many hours. This no longer works for me after a third failed attempt I would like to be in touch with the gentleman you sent out for my dishwasher.

Home Depot came out a month or so again and measured for new windows that I need installed next month. I will be rethinking this option with your store.

You may want to consider a new logistics company.

Home Depot none/ credit card services

I applied for a credit card. I recieved the card in the mail 6 mths ago and I have never used the card. The other day I get a letter in the mail stating that my account is closed. They did not send me aa letter to inform me of this, but sent me a letter after they closed the account and to inform me not to use the card. I have never heard of anything like this and this is so unprofessional. Can someone please send me an email stating what happened. I dont think I should have to reapply for a card I never used. That is not acceptable. My name is Mrs. White and my email is [protected]@aol.com

Desired outcome: They closed my card with no notice, so I would like my card back without haveing to reapply for one all over again. Thats not acceptable.

Home Depot Dishwasher purchase and installation

Purchased dishwasher on July 6, 2022. Salesperson (DAC 742) was very condescending and treated my husband and I like scum. Set up a date for July 14, 2022 for delivery, installation and take away of old dishwasher. "Installer" looked under sink for 2 seconds, said the shut off valves were wrong and told me I would have to get a plumber. Plumber came and said the shut off valves were good (very expensive), Redelivered the dishwasher on July 28, had the plumber install the dishwasher with no problem but at a greater expense. The "salesperson" told us if we had to get a plumber for the installation we would be refunded for part of the expense. The original "installer" was in a hurry and just didn't want to do the job which cost us more money.

Home Depot Warranty on self propelled Ryobi 40 W lawn mower

Instructed to take lawn mower into Home Depot Rental Department located at 871 North HWY 27, Lady Lake, Florida 32159. This was due to the lawn mower drive not operating at all (self propelled) .I brought this to them on 6/15/2022. They told me at the time if they couldn't repair it they would send it in for service which would take 4-6 weeks. It's been over 6 weeks and my last contact with RON who made a call into the service desk (where they sent it for repair) and was told that they have not started on it and waiting for a part to proceed.

In the meantime I have rented a lawn mower from the same location for 24 hours which costs $52.46 to be able to mow my lawn and our rental property. Since then I have had a friend cut both properties and a few days ago borrowed a mower from a neighbor to cut both properties again. The Saint Augustine grass is growing at an alarming rate this summer and I am inconvenienced at this time. I've asked the rental yard if I am entitled to a free loner but the answer is NO.

Home Depot Employee

at Customer Service.', and smirked at her 'work' mate friend still hovering at the registere. I asked if she thought this was my fault. She wouldn't respond. DEEANN was was not in anyway a good representative of Home Depot. She was not apologetic for directing me away, and was nonchalant about sending me away.

I never expect thanks from people for mt 20+ years of being in the military, but I'm appreciative of businesses like Home Depot giving me their appreciation for my service with a discount, and that's why I signed up for the discount on my online account. However, when DEEANN knew what I was seeking [as a military member] she went out of her way to make sure I was not appreciated. As was leaving, I told her it I didn't have time to go to another customer service counter and wait in line there; DEEANN still said nothing - no 'thank you', no 'I'm sorry.', not even a 'Have good day.' However, I did turn to to say her, 'I hope you have a good day.,' and only thrn with a glare toward me fid she respond sarcastically parroting my words.

Home Depot would do well to assure this employee was re-trained in manners and customer service [never mind the military variable]. She us not a good ambassador or representative of the advertised Home Depot brand.

Lastly, I offer that I am not a complainer. My military occupation: Chaplain. I am patient abd a peacemaker by nature. But DEEANN was someone that could not be ignored.

Home Depot Unauthorized payments

These people at Home depot set up an unauthorized withdrawal payments from my account without my permission. I found this out when I went to Home depot to buy some stuff on my original card. That's when I found out that my HD card had been "cashed out", and there was a new card. And they set up a payment from my checking account with out my permission. I cancelled that payment plan on that day. Then they referred me to someone that I thought was the "fraud" Dept. but it was the credit dept. trying to set me up with a new card that they have already issued. After she was done getting my information than she told me wait a minute but she put me on the credit line for applying for a HD credit card.

After that day I went to look at some of the statement that they sent to my home and they charged me some late fees and interest fees that I don't even know why!? These people are wrong on what they did to me and opening an account without my permission. I'm getting my lawyer on this!

Desired outcome: For opening an account without my permission, I say they should wipe out my bill clean.

Home Depot New Samsun dryer bangs loudly

Home is new construction, delivered April 25 th, installed July 26 th , because the gas meter was back ordered for months, stored in box 10 feet away from where it was installed. When turned on bangs loudly, called Home Depot & was told to contact Samsung, Samsung’s tech came out and said the frame was bent, probably done with a forklift. Not fixable. Told by Samsung that Home Depot is responsible. The damage cannot be seen until the front cover is removed. So I have spent over $20,000 with your company, just this year and I have no dryer which I paid $800 for. The agent was not properly trained and thus after 20 minutes he finally realized he needed to escalate the call to him manager to solve the problem. Home Depot Vigoro Pear Tree

Bought this pear tree in May 2022, kept it in the pot I bought it in to let it acclimatize to my backyard. Now, July 2022, it hasn't grown at all, no new leaves, nothing at all. I've been fertilizing and watering. Plants I got at thee same time had been exploding. So I decided to repot the pear tree, and while I was breaking up the soil it was potted in not only did I find TON of plastic, like from a plastic bag as well as several hard black pieces of plastic but I found an entire BATTERY! What if I had t broken up the soil, and ate fruit from a plant that was literally growing with battery acid. I'm 8months pregnant and this is absolutely horrifying.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology, and I'd like to know why this plant was potted with literal garbage, as well as what you will be doing as a company to prevent this from happening again.

Home Depot extended warranty

To whom it may concern,

I purchased a Maytag washing machine from your company in June of 2019. On that day I also purchased the 5 year extended warranty plan. Recently, I started to find pieces of plastic in my wash and came to realize the lid was falling apart at the point it meets the hinge. This was causing the lid to rise up and the machine did not think the lid was closed and would not begin its cycle. Tape was applied so that the condition would not worsen and we would be able to utilize the washer. I reported the claim and it was given the # [protected]. After canceling the morning of the day they were to inspect the washer by text on 6-30-22, the text asked to reschedule to 7-6-22. I responded with 7-7-22 would be better at the original time of 1pm. The technician showed up unannounced on 7-6-22. He told my wife that he has seen this happen with the lids before. He informed her that we would receive the lid by mail within a few days. If we did not, we should contact his office to find out why. I was originally told that the technician put in his report that the door was forced open which caused the damage and the insurance company would not approve the repair. I then contacted HD protection plan to complain as this is not accurate or what he told my wife the day he inspected the washer. HD protection then informed me that the official reason in their computer was that it was considered “cosmetic” and would not be covered. HD protection agreed to send another technician out to evaluate the washer. This time the second technician came to the house and I was able to discuss how we were denied by the first evaluation and he said that he had seen this happen before and it should be covered. I asked him if the tape was a problem, I could remove it for him to change the lid. He said “no” as it was allowing the washer to work and he would have to order the lid. Once again we were told the claim would not be covered. This time the second repair company wouldn’t even tell me why and that I had to call HD protection again. HD protection Ironically gave the new explanation as “ the tape on the lid made it impossible to replace the lid”. I have been lied to and deceived by many people and companies over the past few weeks.

Home Depot has assigned this service out to HD Protection or Asurion as they referred to themselves. One would think that this does not shine a good light on Home Depot or the company they have chosen to work with. At this point, I feel that I have been scammed out of $135 for the extended warranty and will now have to purchase the lid on my own.

I will no longer be purchasing appliances from your store and will encourage all of my friends and family to stay clear. In regards to improving your customer service, you should consider discontinuing the “warranty” coverage all together. People should realize that they are on their own.

Home Depot Discoloration of paint on the dryer po number [protected],

I don't want to pay money to get a darn response!

on the same day that the dryer was delivered [protected]) we noticed fading on the top of the dryer and that the panels were mismatched in color. We contacted home depot on the same day.

Hd contacted is to ask for photos. We sent the photos now you say that you did not get them.

I need to talk to a real person about what is going on!

Home Depot most appalling appliance purchase experience in memory

In June 2022, In the store 7074, I purchased a dishwasher. The salesperson was excellent. There were none in stock, so he ordered one online for delivery that was promised between June 25th and July 4th.

When nothing had appeared by July 8th I began the first of several hours long phone calls with support toi find out what happened to the dishwasher. Nobody knew, and I had to start over several times with other numbers they gave me, including one to the manufacturer. Several agents promised to have someone call me back the following day after having investigated, but no calls were ever returned.

On July 26th, a month late, with no prior warning the unit was dropped in our driveway, without anyone even coming to the door. (we were home).

The packaging was badly damaged with parts of the box torn away and wrapped around with plastic cling wrap. We contacted the installers who came the next day, but when they unwrapped the unit they immediately noticed it was badly damaged on top, with the roof of the unit collapsed and what look like Fork lift indentations in the stainless enclosure.

They were therefore unable to install it, so I got back on the phone with support. Support promised they would have somebody call me the following morning to help resolve things, because the department that did that was closed for the day.

Two days have gone by and nobody has called. We still have no dishwasher and the kitchen is cluttered with the damaged unit sitting in the middle of the floor.

I can see on the waybill that the manufacturer shipped the unit within a couple of days of the order, so where it went in the ensuing thirty days is anybody's guess, but it clearly went through some rough handling.

All in all this was a terrible consumer experience. I would caution anybody to never buy an appliance from Home depot unless it is in stock and they can drive away with it the same day.

Desired outcome: I want the damaged unit to be picked up. (there's no useful packaging). I want a complete refund, including the wasted installation fee. I will shop somewhere else.

Home Depot Installation of 8 impact windows and1 door

Contract signed 0n12/2/2021.Inatallationstarted 05/21/2022 First inspection failed and inspector wrote on the permit F B C 107 4 Missing too many anchors on 05/25/2022 and initialed his name. The following week the same people who installed the windows screwed a window that was not screwed at all screwed one of the bottom windows with 6 screws.

On 6/10/22 a different inspector came only checked atone window, I point out to the inspector all the missing anchors to close the windows properly, he responded to me, they will come to put them in place. On June 27 after calling Home Depot many times with no answer, I went online and spoke with someone for an hour and half, then I got a job # [protected] and was told someone will be there in 7 to 10 business day. Area installation specialist came, installed 3 anchors and took with him 3 other anchors to fix. He told me PGT manufacture of the windows has to come and fix one window so it can close properly, the installation specialist never return with the other anchors.

Desired outcome: I am not looking for refund, I will very much appreciate if BBB can help me with Home Depot to finish the job before a major hurricane.

Home Depot Samsung refrigerator.

On June 2, 2021, we purchased a Samsung refrigerator from our local (Onalaska, WI) Home Depot store for a total of $2,540.74. The refrigerator was delivered on July 7, 2021.

On July 1, 2022, we started having issues with the refrigerator, where the ice maker started dispensing water rather than ice. The issues got worse and both the refrigerator AND the freezer quit working late that day on 7/8/22. Since that was the beginning of the weekend, we did not get ahold of Samsung until 7/10/22. A repairman came finally on 7/14/22, checked the codes, doing a diagnostic and we were told it was either the compressor or the control board. We ended up being WITHOUT a refrigerator from July1st, until the repair on July 26th when the repairman came back with the parts. He found that the control board was bad and told us that a compressor issue may follow. He installed the new control board which seemed to take care of the current issue.

We were told that because the refrigerator was ordered in June, that the one year warranty for parts & labor would not cover the labor portion. Our concerns are this...Since the refrigerator was not delivered to us until July 7, 2021, and our issues started on 7/1/22, we feel that the repair should have been covered. We are seniors, so our son came over and called Samsung to see if they would resolve this issue. We got a representative who said he was from "off-shore", and that he could not authorize the cost of the labor and trip. We could not understand him, as he had very poor English. The second representative who we talked to, said he was the supervisor, and would not help us at all, and was very unprofessional. He said that the refrigerator was 2 days past warranty, and that he could not do anything to help us.

We have been a good customer of Home Depot, spending $2,540.74 for the refrigerator when we purchased it last year. We then purchased the Samsung air fry stove and oven just a few months ago (2/21/22) for $841/89.

We would like to continue doing business with Home Depot (we have purchased many items there for our home), and hope that Home Depot will stand behind their product and honor the warranty since we had the Samsung refrigerator in our possession for less than a year when the issues developed. Thank you for your time and help in resolving this matter.

Home Depot Asurion protection plan simply not worth the cost

This is simply the worst run appliance protection plan I have ever encountered. It takes ages and multiple calls to obtain a claim approval and then your real troubles begin. I have spent time on 7 phone calls with them AFTER claim approval and have yet to see a repair engineer in my home. First them claim a company will arrive only to wait until the date and no one shows. Phone calls later is turns out the company didn't accept the repair and Asurion does not contact you. Then my claim is "escalated" and I am assured another company will show up on a second date. Needless to say the 2nd company says that Home Depot does not know their schedule and no appointment is confirmed. Each and every phone call may take 30 minutes of your time. My claim has been escalated twice with no results.

I have decided that this is not a worthwhile product and you are much better off buying your own parts or hiring a 3rd party to conduct the repair. Maddening!

Home Depot Washer bought on line-Order No. WB18870289-Price $598.00

Please be advised that on July 20th, we purchased a washer on line. We looked at the videos first and based on the image showed on the web site, next to the description of the washer, and bought it. It was delivered on Sat. 23, 2022. After the delivery, when I opened the washer and noticed that the washer shown on your videos had the agitator, this one didnt. This was the first dissapointment, second, the model on the video had a dispenser for the rise, this one didnt which not only was the second dissapointment, but it is not convenient at all because you need to be on the lookout for the rinse cyclo in order to put the rinse.. Still, I washed (the other washer had broken down and I needed to wash immediately). The third huge dissapointment was the fact that when loaded, the washer senses all the clothes to the left size which makes de drum go crazy and takes the washer out of the place it is on. We went to the store to speak to a manager because we tried contacting C/S on the phone, they put us on hold, and noone ever answer. The department manager by the name of Camila, informed us that because we used the washer we could not return it. Let me clarify to you that we wanted to buy another, we did not want our money back. How can we find out if the washer is in proper working conditions if you dont turn it on? We are very dissatified with this purchase, will never buy another appliance from HD, and hope we can get to an agreement in order to be able to buy another washer in perfect condition and to our satisfaction. Home Depot delivery issues

we purchased the frigidaire gallery series set for our kitchen it was delivered on july 15th. refrigerator range dishwasher and microwave they basically brought in the appliances into our kitchen and left them there we paid for installation and we were told by the delivery people that they only do certain types of installation. we are now still waiting for home depot to send someone to install our dishwasher and microwave no one has contacted us to rectify this matter. i am extremely frustrated

Home Depot Refused to sell me carpet

I just purchased $1000 in carpeting from Lowes because Home Depot refused to sell it to me unless they installed it instead of my own contractor. What is the sense in that? The sales associate told me, "You can't buy this unless we install it" but "there are rolls in the back of the store that are good enough for stairs, but we keep the better stock for ourselves.” What?!?

I’ve spent hundreds of dollars a year at Home Depot, but never again. It’s bad enough that none of your floor people can answer basic questions, or that I had two keys made and neither of them worked, but now you’re refusing to sell me the better carpet.

This was the final straw; I’m taking my business to Lowe’s from now on. Don’t even bother offering me a solution as you couldn’t pay me to suffer such inconvenience again.

Home Depot Refund denied

I have been working on a major home remodel and buying most of the materials needed at Home Depot. I have a stack of receipts. I have been paying for the items with my Master Card and/or cash. To complicate matters, My MC chip reader stopped working and to expedite a replacement card, the old account number was cancelled by the bank (Barclays) and a new card with a new number was issued.

Today, July 22nd, I attempted to return unused items for store credit because of the difficulties with finding the respective receipts for misc items purchased during the last four months plus the fact that the purchases were paid for by my now cancelled, credit card, the transactions could obviously not be found as I no longer have the original card number and the replacement card has a new number. After scanning all items I was returning, the refund due was $ 110.46. However, after a few moments, the store clerk told me that the refund was denied and could not offer any explanation!

The transaction ID is: [protected]-196-THD. I would appreciate it if you could cast some light on this treatment.
