Brake service
I am disgusted about getting in my car to go to work this morning when I discovered I had no brakes my brake pedal was to the floor to stop[ me car... Yes I was really frighten to drive it at all but I had to get it back to my house... So I prayed to god that I could make it back home with it safely... I really feel that they didn't fix my brakes right in the beginning cause this is the third time I will take it back to firestone again for them to tell me its something else instead of fixing the problem so I would have to pay more money out...In fact this not the first time my car has been in this condition as firestone completed this problem which in fact they have not fixed the problem that they was suppose to fix... I shouldn't be feeling terrified to drive my own vehicle nor should I have to pay someone to take me to my job after paying firestone to fix my car and fix it correctly... Broken bolt
Had oil change few weeks ago. 2 days ago I noticed my car leaking. Brought in yesterday to see about the leak. And was told to replace pan and get 2 filters. I had to leave car overnight and today before picking up car they tell me my engine is damaged and bolt is broken laying in pan. They charged me and now I have to pay more at dealership for damage to bolt, engine. Car not drivable. I had to take my car to hyundai so they can take apart and fix/ repair.
Manager lied, I lost my car
March 22, 2019: Took car in for annual inspection, 105 Eastchester Drive High Point NC 27262. Said all 4 brakes needed replacing although I had no sign anything was wrong with them. Manager said I could drive it home and park it, call when I could get them fixed. i am a 76 year old widow on social security, no family, son and husband died 4 months apart. I trusted this man. As I was backing out of their lot, brakes failed, unable to stop car and I hit their building. I told them I was okay--didn't want to cause a problem, although I sat there alone, shaking violently and shocked. I filed a claim and manager lied telling them I was told the car wasn't safe to drive but I took it anyway. WTF_-who would be that stupid. Claim was denied because he lied. This is what I lost : my car, hundreds of dollars in rental fees, lawyer fee to get citation dismissed in court. I had a spotless driving record., auto insurance went up 56 dollars, not to mention the misery of going through this with no help. I have contacted corporate many times. Took my car in a few weeks ago for an oil change, My car since pickup was leaking oil. Took it to a certified mechanic for VW, the oil plug was not replaced. I would like to dispute the majority of charges to this card. The issue started with my care over heating.
1. Tech suggested that water pump needed to be replaced. Stated maybe thermostat. Tech tested car with new water pump car ran fine. Picked car up car overheated. Went back same-day to install new thermostat. Charged for both. Car did not need a water pump .
2. Mechanic did not tighten down bolts to the pulleys in the car, nearly broke off while driving furtunataly made back to the shop on time.
3 Car ran without over heating but also did not heat up temp gauge moving back and forth. Took car in. Told that two engine coolant sensors were bad and needed to be replaced. Charged for that as well. Car still had the same issue of not heating. Took car in again. They said that it was gauge. They supposedly test drove it. Still had the issue . Suggested that the new thermostat was faulty they said it was fine.
4. Took the car to personal mechanic. Tested the heat to the new thermostat when in idle and after driving. Thermostat was loosing heat during driving had to go back again to demand replacement.
5 it is evident that the car did not need a water pump nor the two engine coolant sensors. The continuing issues was due to a faulty new thermostat. It took several visits over 3 months to fix this issue. One time nearly causing major damage or loss of life by not tightening down bolts to the pulleys in the car I have paid roughly 300 hundred to this charge. Witch is the cost of thermostat. I do not believe that the remainder of this balance is legit thank you
