Family Dollar review: The service and the product

I went into the store located at 2124 Bank Street in Louisville Ky 40212 on april 17th 2023 and I purchased a portable tire inflator with a couple other small items. When I left the store the young lady Kristen (I believe) did not give me my reciept. Also when I was in the store I was made to feel very uncomfortable because I believe a male employee followed me alomost all the way around the store and was at the door when I walked out.

When I got the 'slime' inflator home it did not work. I called in advance to let the folks know that I did not receive a receipt for my items.. and by complete accident I called the family dollar on Portland ave in ky and when they picked up the phone they never said anything for alomost a minute and a half, finally a male answered the phone and then handed the phone to some young lady and she started to answer my questions however their was the guy in the background telling the young lady the answers to my questions in a very boisturous unprofessional manner. I asked the question, 'Since the young lady didnt give me a receipt can I still return my item?' and the man took back the phone from the young lady and said, " Well jut know fa' tha' next time if this happens you gonna have ta take that [censored] up with corporate! (very ghetto and unprofessional). After I am totally appalled at what this young man had said. I got off the phone and went back up to the actual place where I got the air pump that didn't work for me and I was greeted by the young lady that checked me out and she said she didnt remember and the manager came over and even tho the girl did not give me back my receipt they had already taken out the trash and thier cameras were off and were 'down'. I asked Valerie, the manager, when I can come back she said tomorrow and ask for either Tammy/Tracy and they can take it from their. They all were not professional or helpful at either location. I want to get my money back so that is my attempt today.
