Family Dollar unsatisfactory and rude service by store manager

I recently went to the Family Dollar Store located at 200 East Saint Georges Avenue Linden New Jersey store number 11667. I'm a frequent couponer and I visit the store often. I've never had a problem at this store but this particular day September 19th 2017 I had an encounter with a very unprofessional and rude store manager by the name of Roberto. On a lunch break, my co-worker and I stopped at this particular store to do some couponing. After completing our shopping and as we approach the register the store associate immediately pointed out a store policy sign regarding couponing that was taped to the counter of the at the register. I place my items on the counter and gave the store associate my coupons. He never looked at the coupons and immediately summon the store manager who was standing to the side. The store manager by the name of Roberto look at the coupons and ask the store associate how much were the items. The store's manager stated he could not accept the coupon that would allow the item to be free. I ask Roberto where is it written in the store policy and to show it to me. He informed me that his district manager informed him of this. Keep in mind I was at this store previously and purchase the same items without any issue. At this point at this point the store manager took my coupon off the counter and the item and took it to the side and proceeded to take a picture with his cellphone of my coupon and the item when I asked her what was he doing he said that he was taking a picture so he could send it to his district manager I told him that he would have to ask me for my coupon before he could just take it from me. Iventure got my phone and took a picture of him taking a picture of my coupons. At this point he became irate and stated that he was not going to argue with me. Him that I was going to contact the corporate office. He then proceeded to offer to give me the corporate number and then stop while attempting to write the phone number ball the paper up and told me to Google it. How to treat a customer this way. Roberto then said you want to see unprofessional, get out my store and don't come back. I was so horrified by the disrespect of this of this store manager and his unprofessionalism it's beyond words. The store so if this is how Family Dollar Tree trains their managers to treat their customers then this company will not be in business for long. That was fast I demand this manager Roberto be reprimanded immediately for his actions this is no way to treat a customer frequent customer. Simply appalled.

Family Dollar service complaint

Good evening. The family dollar in Louisville ky on 4th and oak. The employee that was working tonight shift (09/19/2017) was very rude and disrectful. Also the manager closed the store at 9:45p. The store had a janky sign with hours mon- sun opening at 8am and closing at 10p. The employee watched me in aisle way of the sanitary items. I felt disrespected by that. Again the employee felt the need to continue to argue back and fourth with me and the manager on duty allowed her.

Family Dollar customer service

My Wife and I were at the Family Dollar Store #04022 today around 12:45 pm. My 53yrs old wife had to use the Bathroom.
Lori at the Register told her that their Bathrooms aren't open to the Public. But, my 53 year old wife could walk over to the Casey's Store, to use their Bathroom.

Later, When we checked out with our merchandise, my wife asked for the corporate Number. Lori changed her tune about their bathrooms.
That they were only dirty, and she hadn't had time to clean it.
My Wife almost peed in her Pants.
Is it your Company Policy, to close your bathrooms to the Public. And making them walk to another Business to use their Bathrooms?
When I called Customer Service, I was on hold for over 42 minutes, and never got to talk to anyone. When I called the Second time I was on hold for 49 minutes and was disconnected...

Family Dollar employee

I was just in the family dollar located at 5519 78th St. South Tampa Florida Store #08053. My husband and I just went to this store for me tampons. He forgot his shirt and was buying one but the cashier was treating him like some kind of criminal or like she was to good to be serving him. I'm so pissed at that store and have alot of family that goes there and if you keep employees like that trust you'll loose lots of business. Thank you hope you do the right thing.

Family Dollar bluetooth headset

I bought this item from the store located at 2600 Main Street Jacksonville Florida. I had to pick up my medicine and went to a different Family Dollar which is at 223 East State Street Jacksonville Florida. The manager told me their policy on electronics is if you bring it back even with the receipt you can only exchange it for something else in the store. She also told me that I needed to take it back where I got it from because they don't even carry that item. She was the manager of the store that is working today. And was very nasty about it. She also stated that I can look at the policy but she had posted on the wall. When I went back to the store that I purchased it from on Main Street the 2600 block they told me that was not a policy that was a made-up policy and that she should not have told me that I am reporting the store at 223 East State Street Jacksonville Florida 32206 for putting up fake policies

Family Dollar family dollar west main street

I came to family dollar store in need of a few item on West Main street Rochester new York it was 9:51 as I was walking up to the door a young man seen me and closed doors and said were closing very nasty..this is not the first time as I'm talking in the gas station and several people said it happen to them ...this place is suppose to close at 10 pm I am devastated the way one of your employee's treated me in my time of need I actually had to go to the gas station down the street and spend twice as more

Family Dollar cleanliness

I visited the store in 125 North Morrison Dr. Hammond, LA the store was so trashy and cluttered I couldn't enjoy my shopping experience. This is ridiculous. There were 2 workers present sitting by the front door. The other who was checking out was out of uniform with a shirt that he obviously took off the shelf. Something needs to be done about this.

Family Dollar $25 gift card purchased, but not received

My name is Steve Ross, phone # [protected]. I purchased a $25 gift card for Chili's restaurant on September 16th at around 12:30 at the Family Dollar Store in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. The Clerk ran out of bags and so some items I had to put in a plastic tub that I purchased. Upon getting home and going through all my purchases, no gift card. Went back to the store on the 17th and the clerk who rang up my purchase was there along with another employee. I told them both I didn't get the gift card and the clerk told me she handed it to me. That's all she said, no I'm sorry or anything. After awhile I said what are my options. The other employee told me to contact the store today (18th) and ask for Waunita who could look at the store camera to verify my receiving the gift card or not. I have tried calling the store several times (let ring 15 times) and no one answers the phone. I have the receipt showing the purchase. I do not live in Cloudcroft, but have a property there that I go to on available weekends. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I would like to get the card or a refund.

Family Dollar employees

One of your employees by the name of Dion Patterson is currently seeing and messing around with another one of her employees by the name of Jimmy Samons and I honestly do not think that it is professional for a store manager to be dateing a store employee! Store number is 11006 Another concern I have is Dion Patterson has also admitted to me that even if an applicant fails a drug test she would still hire them in because she needs the workers.

Family Dollar manager tammy baker at sturgis ky

She accused my 8 year old son of stealing and had her hands on his head the whole time he went to show her where he laid the item down because I told him he couldn't have it. He sensitive to people touching him she saw he was right and didn't steal item she should have apologized but she came accusing him of something else and said she wasn't accusing him but kept on after she saw he wasn't lying. Called me stupid and hit me with door when I was leaving the door was open when I walked through it she started talking bad about me again and I stopped to listen and she pulled the door shut on my shoulder and arm I asked he why she just hit me with the door and she said she didn't but I asked then why is it hand on the handle pulling against it right now and the door on my arm and shoulder? I was so mad I just left and she said I could turn her in her name is Tammy baker and won't nothing be done anyways. If u had video u could see where she hit me with the door and held onto my sons head while he proved her wrong. Apparently she does this to alot of people and doesn't like it when she's wrong but accusing a child who proved her wrong she should have just apologized for accusing him and said she was wrong and not start in about something else. That store just lost me as a customer, my parents, my siblings. My friends, and I was in there several times a day to buy stuff because it is a small town I will now go to dollar store next door. Making a child cry and feel horrible for something they didn't do while putting ur hands on him and then slamming a door against his mom's arm is enough to scare any kid. And my 11 year old is autistic and is having a melt down over the whole thing and my 5 year old was there and he's blind in one eye and has seizures and speech disability and alot more issues I was just trying to buy them supper and get home. I'm a single mom of 4 kids with no help I didn't need that and neither did he. It's unfair that he had to listen to a grown adult say bad things about him even after he proved he didn't do anything wrong. She should have just apologized and left it at that because people r wrong not everyone is perfect including her. Not keep talking crap to an 8 year old...im very disturbed by all this. Because I've been going to that store for 8 years now. I've never had an issue like today. It happened around 3pm or a little after today.

Family Dollar workers

I got the family dollar storw on 1615 w. 59th st in chicago, il all the time. Every time you go into the store the workers are very rude they talk on there cell phones they talk to the customers with no respect. I have complain to the store manager serveral times in its seem like nothing is being done. I just went there about ten minutes ago where they have the store closed when they do not close till 8pm in remind you its 6:30. That location needs to be shut down there is no point of having a family dollars located there if half of the time we as customer's can not shop because on the weekends the workers closed the doors early. I really hope someone would really look into this matter

Family Dollar unethical behavior

On September 15, my boyfriend and I were going into the Family Dollar on Detroit and Grace . A store we have been going into for three years, and the manager started screaming at us telling us we had to leave. And did not want to give a reason. We had told the manager the day before about a shop lifter and now we are the ones being banned from the store.. Your manager was RUDE and HOSTEL. Your store managers need more people training. We will no longer do business in your store and we will inform others about your business.

Family Dollar temperature of building

On 09-16-2017 my Sister and I went to the Family Dollar Store in Vernon, Texas to shop for
decorations for the upcoming holidays . The temperature inside the building was so hot that it was all we could do to stay and shop. The cashier employee was dripping wet like she had been in a sauna. Mine and my Sister's hair was so wet and dripping with sweat it looked like we had just shampooed our hair! We were extremely hot in the store and we were miserable! We suggest you have some one go as soon as possible to check the A/C at this was location! On our next visit of it is still this hot in the building we will NOT stay and shop! Thank you in advance!

Family Dollar family dollar downtown shreveport louisiana

Downtown Schreveport speaks for itself, this is not a good area of town, but I believe they are using this store as a staging ground for Republican activities.Went in there Monday and they probably had 12 people in line and one register open.The kid working the register was slow.They finally opened the second register and it was a young girl with gold teeth.When I went up there she said if I do not leave my bag up by the door next time they will put me out.Never had been in a store that is run this bad and with so much disrespect for the customers .The store is a mess always and they really couldn't care any less.Never get a thank you after buying there.No one with a brain in their head would ever leave their bag up by the door in this high crime area of town .Spoke to manager and she refused to give me district managers phone number .-Shouldn't be treated different because of the color of your skin etc.Will never spend my money at another Family Dollar again.Been to others that were bad but not as bad as this one.Shelves not stocked and store and bathrooms a complete mess.Hire people that will work that are raised with some manners and are not racist.An example of what happens when business gets too big.I encourage others not to shop there and maybe they will put people in charge that know what they are doing.

Family Dollar store manager attitude

On Sept. 15 I walked into the Family Dollar #08914 at 6312 Greenwood Rd. Louisville KY for only the 2nd time at this particular location due to relocating. I have been shopping at the Family Dollar for around 15 years spending at least $50 a week pretty much every week. I am grabbing a few items such as laundry soap garbage bags candles/wax melts/ plug-ins etc. I grab garbage bags first and head to the laundry soap isle which is also where the smell good items are when the store manager Samantha joins me acting as if she is straightening up but clearly will not let her eyes off of me as if I were stealing. I feel uncomfortable from the start but I know I'm not stealing anything so I proceed to do my shopping with Samantha never more than 2 steps behind me with her eyes locked on me. I'm very aggravated but I understand there are many people who do steal and she is just trying to protect her store. I'm continuing to shop when suddenly she screams out to the front of the store something about security cameras. Well with that everyone in the store looks and it's pretty obvious she is referring to me being that she is practically on top of me with her eyes locked on me. Not how I wanted to start things off in a new area. So everyone in the store who does not know me cause I'm the new girl now how a horrible first impression of the person I am due to the store manager there. But I continue to bit my tongue and get what I'm there for and there she is still starring me down so I say something to her about the embarrassment she has caused me and she cuts me off and once again screaming very loudly to get everyone's attention tell me that she is the store manager and I must leave the store immediately. I am furious and embarrassed to no end. So I leave without anything that I went there for and had to go to a different store obviously not a Family Dollar to get those things I needed. Needless to say I am not a happy camper about what has occurred. I will likely never spend another dollar with franchise again. I have and will tell everyone I know about the incident and encourage them to shop elsewhere as well. I feel like in a leader position that she was given that she handled the situation (if you want to call it that cause there was no situation til she made one) way out of line. I was humiliated to say the least. I do expect to hear back from someone in regards to this matter. I also hope the right things are done with that employee. I'm not saying she should lose her job but possibly her position cause personally I do not think she right for the job.

Family Dollar I experience bad customer service

First and most, the unprofessionalism at Family Dollar is a disgrace.. At the location 1700 East Colfax Avenue Denver Colorado 80218 that it was the worst I experienced I ever have ever something in my life..
I walked in with my son and the managers was arguing with the customer Because he believes that he's about to steal sonething of course, the customer gets upset because he's being accused of something that he did not do.
Furthermore, another employee's arguing with the man who is it ignorant black lady who is adding more fuel to the fire by telling the guy that she's going to kick his [censor] and those words! Cussing and acting real ignorant.. keep in mind I'm trying to purchase something and my son is hearing all this.. I mentioned to the manager, that I felt that it was not necessary to let his employee act like that because you don't know what the customer (the angry man) was capable of doing who she was talking to because he was already upset because he was already accused of stealing.. the manager said, if I didn't like it that I can go to a Walgreens I am not in Beverly Hills keep that in mind he said this is Colfax!
The bottom line is, it doesn't matter where you work at you should keep it professional instead of arguing with the customer he should have called the police on the man who he had thought was stealing instead of arguing with him and letting his employee argue back by and antagonizing and making myself, my son, and other customers feel uncomfortable and not feel safe!

Family Dollar the customer service from manager on two visits

I go to this store regularly so I didn't see this manager before, I always used digital coupons with no problem but on two days with her on staff she was rude, I asked about spiritual cross word puzzles, she said we don't have any, I was waiting for her to say can i order them for you, or put a order for me, but she said nothing, I told her I have digital coupon and wanted two packs of cigarettes she said ok, she had trouble scanning them both so she tried to put the code in by hand it worked but she gave me the meanest looks a person can get, so the next time I went in, I had a different cashier without her there they did it fine, now the third time I went in it was a different cashier and he asked her can he scan it ? She said ONLY ONE I know better because I'm a cashier and all the family dollar do it but her, I hope someone talk to her and let her know someone know what she did and if I get the same treatment again I will take further steps to report her

Family Dollar rude clerk and assistant manager

The female clerk named Gloria cole yelled at us to stop bouncing a small tennis ball my son had and we complied. She made my parents embarrassed how she yelled over customers at us so they quickly paid and left. When I came to front I could not turn into a isle due to two baskets in the way I did not yell or be rude and asked if they could move them she ignored me and continued talking to the assistant manager named Greg. I asked again and she slowsly came from behind counter and laughed out loud saying some people thing they are soooo cute and Greg also started laughing loudly. She continued to talk to Greg how ppl don't know who she is or not to mess with her cause she don't care what will happen and Greg continued to laugh. She started making other customers paying turn around and try and see who she was talking too. Once I got up to counter she left and slammed office door and Greg said it is what it is. My husband was on speaker and wasn't telling me why do these ppl work in customer service if they can't deal w ppl or work. Greg laughed and once I put my video on him he quit smiling and gave me corporates number. I am beyond embarrass and feel threatened by her comments.

Family Dollar a fall in store

I was a customer in your store on 9-14 2017 I was headed to the checkout counter I saw a yellow spill sign over to my right over a large puddle of chemical of some sort I proceeded to head to counter there was no sign over where I was walking however the spill apparently splattered a thin line he didn't see as I walked I slept on the chemical that was splattered I fell hitting my left four leg on the cards right leg bending behind me as I fell to my knee however there was two employees that came to help me up there was a third employee behind me unpacking boxes I spoke to manager she called the district manager they gave me a number to call I called as soon as I left the store which the call was never answered so I called again once I got home I stayed on that phone call for about an hour call was never answered so I did online complaint

Family Dollar employee attitude

I visited the Family Dollar store in Fairmount, Indiana at 2pm on Sept.14, 2017. There were 2 employees in the store, a girl named Alicia and an older gentleman with longer gray unkempt hair, and I was the only customer. The man was complaining loudly about corporate sending "all this crap" to the store when they already had 53 cases of the same stuff, and they sent 3 more. I don't know if he was training the girl, but he was taking her to different locations in to store, to show her how they had stuff "that has been here for 3 weeks and no one is buying it, it's just taking up shelf space". The girl said nothing, just followed him. I left the store without making a purchase after a few minutes.
The Family Dollar store in Fairmount is new, and we as a small town are very happy to have it here. This man does not reflect a positive light on the Family Dollar Store. The store needs employees who make the store have a good image.
