Family Dollar tried to return a defective product and the store manager lied to me four times and refused to wait on me.

On 3/29/2019 at 2:46pm I brought some items including 2 Misting Fans. When I got home I put batteries in them but one of them did not work. On 4/3/19 at about 5:05pm I went back to the same store with my receipt and the item to ask to either get one that worked or my $5.00 back. First the clerk told me that it wasn't on the receipt. I pointed out that it was. Then she said that I didn't buy it at that store. I showed her the address. She and the manager said that it wasn't in the box. I told them that it didn't come in a box. She then pointed out that it was bought 3/29/19 so it was last month and she couldn't do anything for me. When I said that was FIVE days ago she just yelled "Next!" I was furious. All I want is a working item or my money back. The item number is [protected] and the receipt # is [protected]. Is there anything I can do?

Family Dollar employee

Was shopping with friend on March 28, 2019 and as we were browsing through the store we heard loud shouting, it seems a male employee was berating an older lady behind the counter. He was in back of store and she was behind counter trying to get his attention. He kept yelling at her as he moved to the front. I do not know who was cashier and who was manager on duty but, being older person myself i was appalled at the respect this man was showing towards the older lady. My friend informed me that he had acted the same way couple times before even cursing in the middle of store and trying to involve customers into his verbal assault of the same older lady. If he treats a coworker like this how would he treat an older customer? I left immediately and will never return to this store or any Family Dollar, as it appears they let this behaviour go on in their stores.

Family Dollar oreo red velvet and white fudge hostess ding dongs

This is the second time that I've went into that store and realize when I got all the way home that the product which was Red Velvet Oreo that was expired with a date of 12 Dec 18.The first product was Hostess Ding Dong White Fudge had "Best By:Mar.21 2019".This is unacceptable to have expired products on the shelf that customers are purchasing and not realizing the date.So now I have to go to this store before I purchase and check the dates.

Family Dollar product

my friend she when yesterday to the store to buy some things the she need and then the asstt manager to her she steal something but her husdband work to buy anything she needs 3/28/2019 1(760)399-0574 you can contac her anytime and then the asst manager call the police but she dont have any report in writing only verbal they spoke with my friend the she have and her sister -law a registraions to go the store so they are going to get a lawyer to help them to clean her names

Family Dollar cashier was extremely rude and stole my money

I was at the store located at 2970 Poplar Ave a little after 9 a.m. on March 28, 2019. The cashier was extremely rude and she stole money from me. I have tried contact the store and the corporate office and have not been able to get in touch with anyone. The corporate number only allows you to leave a feedback which they ignore and never contact you back. Every time I buy electronics from this store they break within the first day or two and they refuse to refund, only exchange. I strongly suggest people not to shop at this store. This store is not only a rip off, but it is very dangerous because there is a high chance of getting robbed because of the area and the young employees do not pay attention nor do cash drops like they are supposed to.

Family Dollar digital coupons

I have been in the store several times and found products on the shelf with digital coupons advertised. Scanned the product with the ap and the coupon isn't found. Took pictures of tags with products and then am always told when I get up front that they cannot honor it even though it's advertised. After so many times, good way to lose customers that get fed up with false advertisement. Just saying. A couple of examples below from today.

Family Dollar service of management

This evening I visited my local Family Dollar in Morrow, Ga and unfortunately witnessed a physical altercation between two other patrons in the cashier line. It was during rush hour so naturally lines were long and patience was short, which may have been relived if the Lead cashier/manager would have taken the initiative to open a second register. Instead she remained in the back of the store engaged in a personal conversation on her cell Phone. The cashier at the front was assisting a customer and requested assistance. The front cashier called for assistance at least 6 times before she reported to the front of the store. By this time a verbal altercation between two female customers erupted and turned physical. As the fight continued into the store parking lot both cashiers proceeded to watch the fight rather than considering their safety as well as that of the remaining customers by calling police. I am not calling for anyone's job nor am I blaming them for the altercation, however I do think it is expedient that a whole new revamp as well as professionalism training be given to this location's staff. The store is almost always unorganized/dirty with unprofessional staff. I will NOT be returning with my business and find it very unfortunate that I now have to shop outside of my own community. I believe your customers and our community deserve better. Many Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter.

Family Dollar employee conduct

I stopped by this store on my way home from work around March 20, 2019, and could not go through the entrance as there were 2 women standing right outside the door, smoking cigarettes. I had to go around and enter through the exit. While I was in the store, I noticed one of the women re-stocking the shelves so apparently she was an employee of the store.
While it is nice that the employees go outside to smoke, it doesn't do much good if they choose to smoke right in front of the door. They should move away from the door, so at least the customers can get inside the store without having to walk through clouds of smoke.

Family Dollar customer service

On March 25 2019 at around 4 pm I went to my local store I always go, I am there at least twice a week, Store number 10254 my receipt number is [protected]. When I got to the store I noticed a cashier by the name of Arturo helping a customer who was paying, I knew exactly what I wanted and where it was located so it only took me about 45 seconds to find my items, as I was heading to the cashier about 10 ft away, Arturo was coming out of the Register area and we literately crossed paths, He saw me I saw him and instead of helping me he walked into an aisle, squad down and open a box and started to stock the shelves, so I thought, maybe he didn't see me, so I rang the bell at the register and I heard nothing except the stuff being taken out of the box and being put on the shelf, so I walked to the aisle, I could be wrong but I think Arturo saw me on the corner of his eye, so I said, Excuse me, to what he turned and said "What's good", at that point and with his response I was a little upset so I said, "We literately just crossed paths, you knew I was ready, cmon' man" So I came to the register and I still could hear him stocking, a minute later he shows up and mumbles something, I wasn't sure if it was at me so I asked him, are you the only one here? he said Yeap, I said, there is no one else who can help me, he said nope, so I asked so who were you talking to?, to yourself? He said Yes. At that point I was furious so I asked him for the manager's phone number and he said, "I don't have it", I said is there a manager on the premises?" he said yes, I asked can you call your manager, he smirked and said sure, he proceeded to ring the phone's intercom which rang repeatedly and he looks at me, starts smirking and nodding his head to the rhythm of the phone, I think at this point he was trying to get me to lose my composure, A minute later a lady by the name of Veronica showed up she said she was the manager, I offered to talk to her privately so other customers didn't hear my complaint, she said it was fine, another employee showed up and I started to tell her, as I told my experience Arturo was either nodding, or saying -uh uhh- so I looked at his and said, "Excuse me, I am not speaking with you, I am having a conversation with her" he continued to do the same thing. I pointed it out to the manager who by the way, as I was telling my experience, she had no reaction whatsoever, almost as if she is used to the situation, or she just didn't care, She said ok than you for letting me know, I could tell nothing was going to be done so I asked her for Corporate Office's email, she said I could call an 800 number posted on a sign, so I said No I want an email, actually, I said who is your district manager, she said Douglass, I asked for a last name she answered on a dry tone "Valencia" in the background I heard Arturo going uh uhh, and that's when I noticed he was giving me this look locking eyes with me and an angry smirk I guess.

Veronica said nothing to Arturo, she just walked away.

Family Dollar employee theft

So I'm a regular I come to family dollar often and i just saw something so unfair. I saw an employee, her name tag said Tammy, ring up a multiple items about 15 or so. Then she grabbed a snickers bar off the counter and rung that and I think she adjusted everything so that she only paid for the snickers because I only saw her pay like a dollar for a bunch of items. This is not fair me as a regular has to pay full price for my items and this lady gets to pay so little for all her items. I've also heard rumors about her stealing and I heard a man yelling at her inside the store which is so unprofessional. Something needs to be done.

My mom has shopped at the Family Dollar Store in Tecumseh Oklahoma every since it opened. On March 8th 2019 the store manager (Tammy) was every rude to her. She told my mom she did not have time to MESS with her, I was not there or (Miss Tammy) would have had to deal with Me. My mom just wanted to ask a question, that’s all, and the b——, was so hateful to her. My mom will never go back to that store again, she will now shop at dollar general. The next time I am at my moms I am going to family dollar and ask to see Tammy. She needs to be (FIRED) ASAP.

Family Dollar employee

The employee Kayla at the family Dollar in Gainesville Texas was rude. She Spoke rudely. She does not greet people in a friendly or professional manner as well. I am a loyal customer at this family Dollar and will not he shopping there during the hours she works. She made me feel very uncomfortable. When asked to use the restroom she was rude sounding. When I was checking out she was even rude sounding. This does not make a pleasent shopping experience as a customer. A smile a talking friendly does not seem to fit in her manners. I have been in many times and this has happened each time and have heard other complaints about her from other customers and now I have seen it for myself several times.

Family Dollar general mills lucky charms cereal

I recently purchased a box of General Mills Lucky charms cereal about a week and a half ago. I poured a bowl for my son when I noticed something on the box. I assumed it was nothing. I opened the box and noticed it was infested with maggots. I no longer have my receipt and I threw the box away before getting the UPC. I do remember the day and round about time I came and made the purchase though.

Family Dollar rude, theft

Have several issues with this store. I had money stolen from me at counter and it was never returned.
Bought heater & took back with receipt following day, they refused refund.
Came in 10 minutes before close. She said come up & I was in back didn't hear her till second time. I came up to register to purchase at 10:03 they refused to ring my items up & propane tanks when I was out with no heat. Manager was there & girls using perfanity

Family Dollar falsely accused, discrimination, harassment

I'm 30 weeks pregnant went in to do some shopping like I always have i know the girl from high school who her brother sexual harrassed me was gonna press charges on as well but I would see her just handle my business like an adult first she see me I look past her but saw she was on her phone but after I've already grabbed a couple of items has another pregnant employee come tell me to leave or there gonna call the cops on me for stealing makeup I told her call the cops I said who's the manager to speak to them first and how come they didn't come tell me she says because Javier the Male working there at the timehe couldn't come tell me because he's a Male worker I said not true went to him he said he's not the manager that the girl who I've had problems with and police.reports on from school or has had a problem with me she was the manager then I kept telling them call the cops they never called the cops supposedly trying not to make my life hard but I was caught steeling but it was from a year ago so I asked for there proof on video tape employee I'd numbers store numbers and all didn't give me or want to give me anything told me to leave then i drove home picked up my husband he went into the store more calmly asked for the proof and from how long ago told him a month ago supposedly but showed him the pictures on her phone? Saying they sent them to every family dollar so I could be allowed to shop he asked why they had my picture on there phones? Why were they on there phones? And why isn't there a date nor time on these photos they got upset she told them as a manger he had to leave left calmly we have witnesses and all old documentation where she has always had issues with me

Family Dollar return with receipt

I had made a purchase of almost $80 on 3-01-19 in clay city, ky family dollar. The next day I decided I wanted to return three items I had bought. The items are irrelevant for this post but I take the items to inside the store and hand the cashier my receipt. She proceeds to tell me that family dollar will only provide a gift card for any and all returns. No exceptions... Receipt or not. I am in disbelief and in awe not knowing really how to respond. I continue to ask how they can't give me refund in cash as I had just purchased these items the day before and nothing d been even opened and I am providing the receipt showing I had just purchased these items less than 24 hours ago. She then becomes very upset raising her voice telling me I can either take the gift card or I can leave. So without any other choice I take the card hoping I can resolve this at a later time. So I then start to leave and notice she hadn't given me my original receipt back. So I asked her for my receipt back and after about ten minutes of her not wanting to give me my receipt saying she was required to keep it... I instantly call her out saying I had returned many things in the past and always was given my original receipt. I finally get the receipt back from her me knowing i'm going to need this original receipt to prove I had my receipt when I returned these items and was refused a cash refund.
So now my question is who can I speak with or where can I go to get the refund in cash as I originally deserved to begin with

Family Dollar manager did not help

My husband and I took our 6 year od daughter to the family dollar in south gate the manager was very rude and would not help us. Instead she picked an argument with my husband over some earphones and asked us to leave. She said "I am the manager and im not selling you anything, so get out!" seeing she is pregnant, I asked my husband to walk away from the argument and we left the store.
All we asked for was help and she said she didn't have time to help and directed us to the cashier. We were there for about 20 min and she was chatting with another co-worker, we didn't think she was busy but I guess we interrupted her conversation and blew up on us. Its so disappointing that she was so rude and unprofessional. I am that customer that usually spends anywhere from 400.00 to 600.00 every time I go to you store. But not anymore. I wont be shopping and any family dollar any longer.

P. S and my 6 year old was so sad as we walked out of the store, the headphones we were hoping to purchase were for her. : (

Now my six year old is scared because someone called the police on my husband. He was so angry at the rude manager that when my daughter interrupted our conversation he punched my daughter real hard in the back of the head and pushed her down that she fell real hard. When she got up he started calling her stupid and started swearing at her. Someone who witnessed this called the police and they turned up at my house since the police got my address when they ran our license plate number. Now we fear that my daughter may be sent to a foster home.

Family Dollar trash removal

Dear Sir(s) and/or Madam(s):

I am the Assistant Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Rockland, Maine. I have received multiple complaints regarding the trash handling at your Family Dollar Store located at 197 Park Street in Rockland. I have attempted to work with the current manager. At my visit on February 8, 2019 your manager told me she did not have time to clean up the mess.

I have attached two recent photographs. The photograph without snow is dated February 8, 2019 and the snow photograph is dated February 22, 2019. I am quite confident, as shown in these photographs, that this is not the standard of excellence you wish your stores to present to the public.

We are prepared to initiate formal enforcement action unless your manager and its employees begin making sure all wastes are placed in the containers and the container cover lids are kept closed.

I will be conducting one last inspection on March 1, 2019 and if the sloppy conditions continued then we will begin enforcement actions against the store.

Family Dollar cashier

I had the rudest experience with this cashier than I ever had anywhere. I had a flyer with me when I cashed out and told her a product was not priced sale price as it rang up, she very rudely said, well I'll have to override it! Then I asked her if I could have the 5 dollar digital coupon off even though it would not go on my smartphone because it was not working on it. I showed her the flyer that had the coupon in it, and she refused to give it to me. Than I went to put some of my bags back into my cart as she rang them up, she said no you can't do that, people just stole some things a bit ago! Omg. I have never been treated so poorly, and I have worked in retail. So I lost over 10 dollars in coupons that day. I shop there once a week. Also she told me they didn't have large enough bags for the paper towels! REALLY!

Family Dollar no public restrooms

I was in one of your stores today #09247 purchasing some items, when I suddenly needed to use the restroom immediately if not sooner (i'm sure we've all had this happen) I was informed there were no public restrooms which I couldn't understand because I was a paying customer. My question where do employees use the restroom? Why aren't they available to customers? Long story short I didn't make it to restroom facilities in time. Do you know how embarrassing this is and totally uncalled for. Please explain.

Family Dollar false advertising

So I went into your store to purchase a pack of cigarettes and the register rang the cigarettes up higher than the price said so I asked the manager if they would honor the price displayed and he said they couldn't override it. This seems like poor business practices to me... Is this how your company makes money by posting inappropriate prices and then charging different prices at the register? Maybe I should start taking my money somewhere that doesn't believe in the bait and switch method. Feel free to contact me by email should your corporation want to resolve this and make this right... If I get no response then that tells me that my money is not important to your corporation nor is customer service.
