The Family Dollar store at 861 Park Ave has a sanitation problem and a noise problem. Photos attached go back a year or so, and show the permanent garbage collection behind the store on Ellery street. This garbage has brought rats to our neighborhood as well as a very disheartening mess that often blocks the street and sidewalk.
In addition, there is a hidden loudspeaker system installed OUTSIDE the store, in the awning. This loudspeaker blares security announcements into the neighborhood at 3 AM, 5 AM, 7 AM, All through the night and at various times during the day. The announcements can be heard from blocks away.
Please do something about these blatant violations of health and safety in our community.
